Australian Survivor HvV: Episode 18 Top 5 Takes

0:00 Welcome back to the nullify Tech channel here on YouTube where I've got the TNT takes for you on Australian Survivor Heroes vs villains episode 18 that's right I'm back but before we break down the top five takes if you have been checking out the channel for a while but you've been uncertain about subscribing I hope today is the day that I earn that subscription so please consider subscribing hitting the like button putting the notification Bell so you can be informed every time I go live or drop one of my top five takes for the shows we love to watch all right let's get into this episode takeaway number one Liz underplays how upset she is by the shiny move now Liz and Shawnee they were beer thiefs out there they were doing everything together and it feels like a part of her has been ripped out of this game now we see her when she talks to the camera breaking down and being very emotional about this probably the most emotional we've ever seen Liz on this game the other time was when she lost Jordy she's had some losses in this game but she doesn't show that to the rest of her tribe especially George because she knows George is in a position of power he is running the stripe and if he thinks that she is out for vengeance or that she is hurt by this decision he will go after her so we're seeing signs here of George starting to really crack and not noticing when some of his allies are not with him and Liz is one of those

1:20 Allies I was really shocked even in this episode to see the terrible social game once again here from George I know they say that his social game has been getting better but walking around with shawnee's clothes on making fun of the fact that he voted it out in front of Liz who was so close to her really showed me that there was a little bit of a lack of self-awareness here in this position and I don't think this is something that Liz is taking lightly or enjoying as much as George is walking around in shawnee's clothes it was pretty shocking to see that he would do it so soon after I felt like you know it was a little bit soon after voting her out in that previous episode I have my eye on Liz as one of my takeaways to potentially make a big move in this game she's been very much playing under the radar and she's had Shields and Shawnee and George in front of her but I would not be surprised if Liz becomes a vote for hire and if she does end up working with Haley maybe even in the next round to take out the king himself and I think Liz is one of the two blondes that George has got a massive blind spot for right now in this game takeaway number two I kind of alluded to it but George is now truly becoming the Mad King of Survivor you know he's had two seasons in a row where he has dominated strategically after he lost this first season I said he's probably the best strategic player to never win the game in Australia and I think he's proving it this season Once Again going out

2:40 There playing an absolutely phenomenal strategic game at this stage the big problem for George though is because everything has been going right for him for so long I think that he now thinks he can walk on water and that there is nothing that can go wrong when he decides and puts his mind to something due to this he's getting some of his reads completely wrong Liz for instance is not with him anymore and I think she will take any opportunity to jump ship and vote him out before the end to take revenge for Shawnee Haley another person that he's got such a close relationship with and we know that they're friends outside of the game she is also very much realizing that she would lose against George if she goes to the end and I think he's underestimating Haley's willingness to go out there and betray that real life friendship and to me it's actually quite funny to see this play out and for him not to realize it because it is really a tale as old as the first All-Star season in the U.S that we saw when legs and Rob who actually had a real-life friendship in the game went out there to play and Rob portrayed that real-life friendship so you know the game is there to be won and Haley is the legend of this game and she wants her Legacy to remain strong she hasn't had that much opportunity to do something but as soon as she can take a shot here of the king he is going to be in trouble George also in this episode has the completely wrong read on Nina now Nina is someone that he's been trying to work with for a little bit here to try and get her in

4:00 On the numbers so he's got another option and something that I'm admiring from George because you don't see many players these days able to have so many different options where they can fall to depending on where the votes are going to go and how the game moves Nina is one of these potential options for him that he starts bringing in he's had conversations with her and he's also used her vote in the previous Tribal Council but by the end of this episode he believes that Nina is the person who betrayed him and jumped ship and that's a completely wrong read on Nina now I do think Nina would take a shot at him as soon as she can but at this stage he actually does need that number and he potentially might be bringing fire her way when she's not to blame for what happened in this last vote the biggest Ace up George's sleeve at this stage is Matt because we see that Matt is an immovable object within this game he wants to play with George as deep as possible he's happy to play with George and not to go against him and write that strategic mind all the way to a top three top two situation and that makes it very hard for other players in the game to make a move against the king so once again it shows that Jerry and George made the right decision actually when they voted Stevie out of the game because I think if Stevie was still in the game at this point he would have been an option for a lot of people and he would have wanted to do smoke and mirrors he would have wanted to go and potentially play and vote out the king to have that reputation on his name all right takeaway

5:20 Number three Simon wins the Isuzu D-Max and Simon I don't know if you ever listened to the top five tags made so happy for you so stoked he'd get this when it's completely emotional on the ground saying this is more than what he earns in a year being an apprentice Carpenter so I'm so happy for Simon has fast become one of the players this season that I really love watching and I'm a big fan of Simon moving forward I want him to come back and play the game again and I know a lot of people might be saying why would she like Simon he's not making any correct moves in the game but I'm a big fan of characters and I also love people that can express their emotions and Simon Just it prices everything out there you know if he is happy everybody knows he's happy if he is sad everybody knows that he is sad and down it's like Haley said he's like this puppy dog that just wants attention out there and I really love people that live their life that way that live their life to the fullest and allow for themselves to feel things when they're playing this game at the end of the day we don't need 20 game bots on Survivor it is fun to have someone like simonette be out there and play the game and I will say even towards the end of this episode when Simon and George started going head to head with each other again at Tribal Council it's starting to feel a little bit unfair it's like you know he's already beaten up he's already made so many wrong moves but George continues

6:41 To just pile on Simon to let him know he's got no chance in the game you know he makes every single move incorrectly now I know that this fight is not one-sided and I know that you know Simon is getting his comeuppance he's getting what is coming back to him due to the fact that he went after George early in the game but I do feel like at some point manual George you've got to think about jury votes and if you get into a final Tribal Council I would be shocked if Simon votes for you and I hope he doesn't because you have been piling on him in this episode and throughout this whole season another thing I wanted to add also from that final Tribal Council is that you know George says that you know the worst thing you can do in Survivor is try and fail and I don't agree with that I do not agree with George love you as a character you're still one of my faves but at the end of the day I feel like Survivor and life can be very much similar sometimes and that in life fortune favors the brave and I believe that Survivor is the same now Simon has not had the best instincts and clearly that's why people are trying to get away from him like even Nina saying I don't want to vote with you this episode because you have been tanking my game up until this point which I feel bad that he is almost like he's cursed out there nobody wants to touch whatever votes he throw out that's why no one goes for the mat vote which I think was a very smart plan because if Matt's immovable if he's not going to work with anyone one that is exactly the person you

8:01 Should be voting out in the game because they're not going to be a benefit to your game in the future but I wanted to say Simon saying that no he doesn't agree and that he believes you should always take a shot even if it doesn't work I agree with that you know and that's a listen to everybody that listens to this not just in Survivor but in life even if you think you could fail try because if you fail you learn something you move on from that and hopefully you amend your game or whatever you're doing in life in the future but you should never be afraid to try I respect someone for trying a hell of a lot more than sitting back and absolutely doing nothing writing the coattails of some of these other players number four Haley makes a first big move against the king now obviously when Simon wins this reward and he takes Haley Matt and Nina to the reward they have some time to strategize and talk Haley is all he is she's like Simon what do you want to tell me are we going to do some strategy here and Simon says no he didn't think about strategy bringing them there which was hilarious but I think it's also because he's been trying so many things this season he's beat eaten down nothing's worked nothing's stuck no one's wanted to work with him in the game so he's kind of given up a little bit on strategy talk but Haley still does use this opportunity to talk to those people that are there she asks Matt if he would ever turn Matt says no I am good with my boy George in the same time she tells them about the sixty thousand dollars that George has won already in the game which is news to everybody and

9:21 She walks straight into a trap that the King has set himself now he said earlier in the season that if that news gets out he knows he can't trust Haley and I think we saw that confessional for a reason and he potentially is a step or two ahead of her in the game but telling this to the people that were out there it basically brings their target even higher onto George's head because obviously everybody knows Haley's won the game before Sun's got a Target on his back now for winning the car by the way the carcass has been broken by Dino Polo I was corrected about that I think in the previous season but yeah Simon you can't break that carcass anymore but I digress so in this conversation she has this conversation with him and tries to see if they can move against George but still there isn't enough of an appetite which must be frustrating for Haley because she realizes her game has not been as impressive as George's this season so she needs to make a big move and there's no one willing to play the game with her and I think it's one of the reasons why this season has been so frustrating because George has been on a level of his own and there hasn't really been an equal opposition to him this season and you can only wonder what the season would have been like if they had some other Heavy Hitters like David ganat and Luke Toki also playing in this season but by the end of this episode Haley does follow through she makes sure that she isn't on the split vote and that she is supposed to vote for the person that George wants out of the game which is Simon

10:41 And she flips her vote to vote out Shawn great move by her at some point she needs to start taking risks at some point she needs to be able to claim her own moves in this game and George had plans for sure now what that plans were I'm not too sure but Sean would have been a risky play for George because he could have potentially stole one stuff going into the end game even though he hasn't really proven himself in the individual immunity portions of the season either way you don't want to give George more options so I think that Haley made the right decision to cut him at this point I just feel fearful about the fact that she lets slip about the 60k and I think that might come back to bite it in the back moving on to take away number five we finally have a twine when an immunity challenge now Sandra has played many seasons at this stage she's never won an individual immunity we've always known that challenges isn't her thing but Nina brings one home for the family and what an immunity to when it was one of endurance it was one where they had to go into a squat position and it looked like a torture device that they needed to balance this Idol on and they could hardly move up or down and again this shows like that first immunity challenge where Nino was hanging in there holding him for a very long time she was in that first challenge holding her breath against Matt who was a lifeguard it shows that she has got a certain and a determination to win these endurance challenges so watch out for Nina if she

12:01 Does get to a final three final four situation and that final challenges and endurance challenge she could be someone that is threatening to get into the final Tribal Council and I think that would be dangerous for a lot of players in the game because she has a lot of friends currently sitting on the jury Nino winning this is great for her game has started looking on the up she started Building Bridges with George so you know she's starting to vote with the majority Alliance in a few cases but in this episode she gets thrown under the bus slightly by Haley jumps over makes this Rogue vote and George thinks it's Nina so this could be very dangerous for Nina in the next episode if she doesn't want another immunity if she doesn't get potentially a hidden immunity idol she may be in trouble but I do have hope for her at this stage I'm kind of even though I'm a big George fan I don't want the season to be too predictable I want people to rise up and at least give this guy a little bit of resistance in the game I don't know if anybody else is with me on that so I really do hope Haley Nina Simon and maybe Liz can come together to bring up a bit of a resistance and overthrow the Mad King I can't believe I'm saying that because I'm a big George fan but Mana man this season has been one-way traffic up until this point that's my five takeaways for this episode please hit a like on this video put a comment below let me know what your thoughts are what
