1:21 Know that the editors must have you know had some weed or something we're making I think they were just buying whatever George and Shawnee were selling them the whole week and that's what gave them the inspiration to give us this great edit for the week but Kahuna how's things in your own buddy did you enjoy this week as well as much oh mate I was so hyped because there was a there was hype coming into it like jlp was saying that the most epic tribal ever and all that sort of thing and that's big that's a big call and we're gonna get into it but man what a week absolutely I loved it I loved it yeah 100 and we know with Australian Survivor you can't always trust them when they say that it's going to be the best Tribal Council of all time I loved how jlp even took the purse by saying I know you guys are still waiting on Sue's big move but I promise you this is gonna be worth it's gonna be a great week for tribal councils and it was a couple of housekeeping things to do before we get into the episodes itself I wanted to talk about the ratings itself Mucky the ratings reflected as well we've had quite a bit come out I think I shared a tweet as well with some of those stats directly from Paramount plus in Australia and New Zealand to obviously own channel 10 and they came out saying biggest audience of the season

2:41 On a Sunday biggest Monday audience biggest Tuesday audience and number two in all key demographic advertising demos so really good news if you're a Survivor fan Mucky oh absolutely you know because it's really hard with Australian TV because if you have one Bad season or do you know like it doesn't get the viewings or ratings like it's cut it's thrown away they won't redo another season and you know I still recall a time you know 2016 2017 even 2018 where there's still a big question mark there's Australian stuff I was getting another season because nobody knew that was kind of like after all stars you know we all kind of figured oh okay yeah like this step are going to be getting quite a lot of Seasons but there's definitely a massive fear like is the show going to get canceled does it not like nobody had any idea but it's awesome that the ratings are extremely high yeah I mean again I think Kahuna a lot of the reason that the ratings are so high again this season is because in Australia they found their Core group of people now that love Survivor and they will come back season after season it took Survivor us quite a few seasons to have that cult following as well I guess they had very high numbers from the start but before yeah they were phenomenon yeah but before it became like a cult following you know like the online world and that's sort of what we're living in now it's a whole

4:01 Different ball game compared to back when Survivor started and there's so much competition they go up against marriage at Married at First Sight and other shows that also do extremely well how big was this week for Survivor over in Australia and do you reckon that you know we can keep this momentum as the season continues take that Australian Idol yeah now look huge week apparently like it just sucks I hate that mass is such a juggernaut when there's a show like Survivor putting on television like it did this week with the full spectrum of amazing things happening heart touching moments everything across the board just top-rate television and they're saying how great the ratings are for it which I'm really happy for because it is getting a lot of hype and I think there's a bit of like growing momentum behind it after Sunday and you saw it flow into Monday and then into Tuesday and like Mucky said before the fact that they kept that high which I appreciate the people who do that yeah like it's just it's just going to keep building what happens unfortunately sometimes you have a really great episode followed by you know and then the hype that you got from that first episode's gone but they nailed it this week

5:21 Three strong great episodes to really carry that momentum forward yeah I mean I would I just want to say the Simon and George forever has my gratitude basically moving forward because this channel has had one of its best weeks and growth in a very long time based on some of the top five takes that we've done I think we've had 150 subscribers in the last week sign up so I mean a lot of those subscribers about 35 of them came directly after that episode and when I did the top five takes all that so clearly a lot of interest in Australian Survivor due to that episode and thank you for all the new members the new subscribers to the channel we really appreciate it as we continue to grow the channel here because we love talking to the fans we love communicating I will bring up some comments from some of those top five takes and we'll go into that as we go through the episode content here as well but one more thing here before I say hello to the people here in the life I can see there's a few people already talking to us there I do also want to go into a little bit of the abuse that has been coming Simon's way now I don't know if you guys can see this I might have to make it a little bit bigger Simon came up and Twitter and said Twitter hasn't exactly been Disneyland for me this week but geez let's put a smile on my face this morning appreciate a bit of positivity and then just shared a tweet of Philly chilly Philly from his first season that sort of mentioned that he was one

6:41 Of the first people to reach out to him after the show so clearly Simon having a very tough go at it so far this season Mucky warranted or unwarranted at this stage like it's really hard because social media in general is a platform where people can hide behind and just say whatever they want you know and it's hard because especially Simon you know he's going to like toe-to-toe against one of like the biggest band favorites since Luke and my personal opinion and George so I do think there's some Die Hard fans out there who really just don't care and don't say whatever they want to Simon I don't think it's okay you know like RG even reached out to Simon going mate I probably know you're probably going to be getting some Flack at the moment but I just want to say sorry for my co-host Chris ripping into you every top five take I've got yeah Chris sucks but I'm really here for you yeah he's going to be team monkey for life now you chose him as well in your team so you have you don't have a choice you have to bake them see Mucky is loyal Mucky is about mate ship he picked him at the start he's backing him all the way Sam would have loved Mucky out there he would have had monkey in his mid-trade boy Alliance exactly you know the good on mince and cheese pie right

8:01 Here you know like yeah and that was like yeah it's like it's really like quite bad the amount of abuse Australian survival players here I think it's like the only franchise of Survivor that you know to this level I would agree or like just the greatest abuse it's really horrible like I mean I'll never forget the abuse Sam got last season it nearly broke me from covering That season I just I just couldn't understand why people took that move that personally that she did that season but you know Simon I don't know if you still listen to this Channel or not because maybe he's a bit peed off with some of the things I don't think I've been too hard on it I've been criticizing his game not the person behind it I will say this and Anthony here welcome to the live says oh hey I'm on the screen as well Anthony commented saying back in Brisbane I briefly worked with a nurse who did a bodybuilding comp with you she only had great things to say about you forever stand of you King now I think the thing here is I wanted to point out as well Simon has reached out to me twice didn't have to you know always been very friendly to me is a great supporter of fans and things like that so Simon if you do ever hear this I hope you understand that when I'm criticizing or commenting you know it is just based on the game that we've seen and obviously we don't know everything we're not out there we can't see everything

9:21 But I mean we wouldn't have a show if we didn't kind of criticize the moves we did see you know so we do need to go into that so it's nothing personal and having that out of the way we can now freely rip into Simon for the rest of this podcast look from all accounts every everything I've heard is that he is an absolute top bloke in real life anyone that's been on the cast with him in this first season they swear by him being a really nice genuine dude I think the edit is having a lot of fun with him this season making maybe look worse than he is and also making him look like a like stupid sometimes it's just funny the way they're doing it I don't necessarily know if it's him but yeah he I'm the same as you buy all accounts are top bloke I can call out his gameplay though and what it looks like to us as the home viewer as well I do think that some fans out there forget that there's people and at the end of this they're not just characters you know written for scripts on TV that they're genuine actual people that switch why I mostly stay like I don't go on Twitter much at all and I kind of avoid that I see what comes through on Facebook and a bit of Reddit and stuff like that but Twitter's the scary part I think so it is what is the muck pit sorry listen I'm out there I'm out there in the trenches

12:01 Is just some buff bloke who hasn't watched much Survivor when he really is a nerd at heart who loves Survivor and it has shown in his immunity when yeah 100 listen he was quite emotional in that immunity when and we'll get into all of that Anthony saying he's like a big buff puppy dog I can't not love him yeah and listen let's get into it there's so many good stuff I want to talk about these episodes let's get into episode seven Jerry goes back to the heroes Mucky did you see it did you see it coming did you like this move from Jerry in the moment not knowing where he was going to end up in the end of this week I think this move was just as good as Rogue blindsiding herself you know like it was so bad I was like oh here we go oh gosh you know it's like imagine going from you know complete safety it's like when you're seated in the airplane and you've got like the seat belt on but you choose to stand on the wing for just some random reason you know it's like he knows it was in so much danger he knows there's a higher chance of him potentially even going home but he still chose back to go to the heroes like they literally taught him to his face that we don't care if you get voted out you're Expendable to us so that's why we're sending you to the villains like why

13:22 Would you want to go back it was oh it was so bad but I think broke's Blind Side was a lot better though yeah while we're on the subject of Jerry Kona I know it's hard to talk about these episodes in chronological order the very next episode we get to see how jury handles being back in the heroes tribe what did you think about Uncle Jerry sitting there getting everybody together and sort of giving them a bit of a telling off in the game of Survivor yeah the old coaches ridiculous like I can't you said on one of your top takes that you're high on Jerry and you're buying Jerry's stock and I said take all of it I will sell it to you right now and I've got a bridge that you can buy as well if you want Jerry cannot play this game he does not understand how the game works and the fact the horrible moves back to back to back right there he does have a semblance like he does sort of know he's standing in the pecking order which I give him like he obviously saw the obvious stab in the front when they sent him over to the villains like that's so clear and oh based off that he can now determine hey I'm not really in I'm not at the top of this tribe and I took that for him to realize and then the way he plays it he goes to the villains gets a second chance here he's

14:42 One of the Spice Girls Old Spice great comedy I love that line and then he plays a part in that he survives he gets the thing and goes back to the people that basically tortured it like to kick him out of there I do not understand it he gets back and then instead of playing it cool like hey I'm back I'm hero strong he tells all of them off and says I will abandon you the first moment I get when you turn your back of me I'm going to turn my back on you well played Jerry well played yeah listen I don't remember which episode I said it in if it was the one when he left and he started getting into the Spy School Alliance maybe I was hiring him at that point and obviously Jerry does have a little bit of redemption by the end of this week which we'll definitely talk about as well you know so I do think I'm not by the end of this week by no means some are high on Jerry is someone that's going to get dragged Along by people who are more capable than him and he's going to start giving us loyalty to those that are showing loyalty to him because he hasn't experienced the kid in the game but he won't be Savvy enough like you know if you're in bed with Shawnee and with George it's like sleeping with two pit vipers you know in a bed and it's not going to be good for you're going to get bit you're going to get poisoned and You're Gonna Leave This Game and there's no way you're winning and even if you're sitting next to one of them at

16:02 The end you can't win against them because you're not going to have moves to explain that you're not going to be dictating any moves and I don't think he's the kind of person just by his personality that will be dictating moves but I do like jury as a person listen I reckon he's a sure he's an awesome bloke I reckon he's an awesome bloke and it made for great TV having him there you know sort of telling the heroes how bad you know he felt and how out him and shiny and Benjamin is and then he kind of alienates the only other person at the bottom and Benjamin insists he's got a silver tongue and it sort of comes across to be remembered yes would she remember so yeah it's not great but you know obviously Jerry goes back leaving the villains shocked I really you know enjoyed this twist the one line and it was last week and sometimes they have those like little things that you go oh he said that last week and it always pisses me off the thing that pissed me off but it also makes me laugh the people that have the confessionals saying they're thinking they're controlling stuff and they're going to be in charge of them and they're just nowhere near anything right and Jerry said oh they threw me through the walls but I'm gonna come back with a wolf pack and let's shut up Joe you're not doing anything when you come back and that was just perfect like yeah he came back and just fumbled it I

17:22 Think so hey he's giving us more he's giving us more than some you know like at least he's giving us some sound bites you know like there's some people who are not even getting an edit at this stage I do want to move on from Jerry I do want to move on from Jerry because this we've got a few things in this episode to get into the biggest part of this obviously the villains losing against the Stacked Heroes tribe that we stacked from the start I've had someone in the comments tell me for one of my top five takes that originally David gennett was supposed to be on this season he was supposed to be a villain got pulled out last minute due to family reasons and due to that they had one less returnee on the villains tribe and they were less stacked from a muscle physical standpoint compared to the aerostrop so that's why it was so unbalanced but we clearly have seen that it's just not going their way having to do a physical challenge here they lose again and I knew this was going to be a good episode when 20 minutes in we're already done with the immunity Challenge and we've got 45-50 minutes of episode left you know 40 minutes in we're at the tribal council but a lot of scrambling happens here because Simon is starting to put some things in motion you know how disappointed were you Mucky that you know operation hashtag operation Anaconda didn't come off I know and it's actually really funny because Anaconda is my favorite type

18:42 Of snake so I was like go Stevie you know I went on like a massive horror movie going to watch in 2021 and most of them were those old classic monster movies which a lot of them is about an anaconda so you know sneaky Stevie and I won't send wavelength you know we're together as one and but yeah now I thought it's a great plan yeah but obviously some flaws in it like when you know Simon told George oh we're gonna vote out Stevie that really came back to bottom but yeah no I love the plan yeah well I guess there's this whole thing where both Stevie and him they talk about potentially where the votes could go you know Stevie says he's gonna go and tell George that they're going to vote for Simon and he goes and has a fake conversation with George stroking his ego now one thing about George I love the guy but I reckon George is that kind of person that if you tell a mate you're the best player ever I love your legacy in the game like he would take to it like a duck to water and that ends up saving Stevie later on how ironic was that Kahuna to see that conversation come into play later on when you know George needs to decide who he can work with in this game Stevie did the exact thing I just talked about with Jerry

20:02 Where they talk a big game and he's saying I'm gonna I'm gonna take out King George I'm gonna feed him all this smoke and by the end he was literally crying to Shawnee his arch enemy that he wanted to take out he was literally crying and humiliating himself before saving his life and the downfall from like getting the confession look oh I'm gonna take out King George I'm sneaky Stevo and then just blubbering and pleading for someone to save his life and you're right it worked out for him completely accidentally because Stevie thinks he's doing the sneaky thing and really like we got it's it sucks I know because we get the edit we get to see what's happening and the whole time I'm like nope so Steve not it's not gonna happen King George Sonny got this the whole way through and then yeah like what a what a downfall from the peaks of thinking you're gonna eliminate King George and you're playing a part of project Anaconda mango to literally crying for help yep it's crazy I just like to jump in here just once oh here we go you've woken Mucky it was all great a strategy you know you talked about how he was crying to Shawnee he wasn't crying to George it was going to

21:22 Shawnee you know he knew exactly what to do in case of you know hits a fan you know he really struck George's ego he really built that bond with them and you think it was planned you think it was so planned you know you always got to have a backup strategy all right you always gonna have a backup strategy go down with the monkey go down with that buddy oh I did I was all accidental but look at the results tell me here's my one here's my here's my let's get back to sanity here Kona so here's my here's my take on this whole thing right I think Stevie is a great person awesome person outside like I actually know that one of the Survivor fan pages Philip who ran the Survivor International fan page he's had many conversations with Stevie before and he's always said this guy is so good like he's just such a great human being and you know he does so much outside of Survivor that people are not even aware of you know which is amazing and I think he's just a great person who wants to be the sneaky villain character and he sees himself as that but in his heart that's not him and he really came into the season I think scarred from having been voted out by Shawnee and been betrayed by people in his previous season when he wanted to be a big player similar to Simon and I think their drama

22:43 And that drama of having gone before the merge we saw both that play out for Simon in his game and it took an effect on how he's been playing and I think we're also seeing that drama and Trauma of the previous season for Stevie player so I think he knows he was this close to going home so emotionally he breaks down you know he's got no one else out there on the island that's got his back he needs to he knows his game is gone you know he thawed him and him and Simon and Fraser and Jordy were going to run the show he was with the boys again playing and that's another thing it's hilarious to see these people fall into the exact same patterns of what they did the first time that they were out there you know every single one of them you know Stevie tried to be with the boys that time as the first time as well he's trying to be with the boys again it's again not working out for him Simon was trying to run the tribe early on thinking that he was you know doing a good job at it and again it's not sort of working out for him you know trying to take that leadership role very early on but overall I think you know Stevie he's got to lay low for the rest of this for this now and be a loyal Soldier for the Spice Girls and then he's got to try and choose this move later on down the line but he's in a very bad position because he's playing with players that at this stage has got a better resume than him and he's been saved by them and they've got that over him at this point but I want to go back to you know the tribal council it happens they've got the Simon Blind Side coming up Jordy

24:03 Speaks to Fraser it's all on but then production throws a twist out there and this twist ends up saving Simon there being an immunity idol for someone to win Mucky there was a lot of people accusing production this week of interfering to try and save Simon what do you think about that production that they that they sell that they that they tarnish the great reputation of Australian survival of not getting involved in production things Okay so I've said this so many times already and this is going to be the last time I'm gonna say it so as someone who has worked on TV Productions everything is scheduled to the detail and on shows like Survivor it's not just one crew filming you have two sets of cruise filming you have a day crew and a night crew right so if you were to just randomly rig a challenge to save someone the day crew is gonna have to form the night crew which then they're going to screaming like wait how's everything going to work and stuff because you know they would have just woken up to be prepared for the nighttime filming you know so there's just so much scheduling so much planning because if you just random Chuck in a non-elimination you then go map out okay or we had like a swap coming up here we're gonna have to delay that a little bit we're gonna have to delay this other tourists and everything just gets muddled up and

25:23 Especially when it comes to like trying to structure things it's just a hot nightmare it really is you know on a lot of my short film shoots have we spent an extra time doing a scene for example just that whole rest of the time we're just constantly rescheduling reschedule rescheduling and it's just a nightmare you know so definitely was like more larger projects such as Survivor I doubt that there is a lot of like rigging and kind of rescheduling because I agree there's something fails then there is a project is just a mix yeah people always have tin foil heads and imagine George wanted here and George was in trouble it would have been even more so of a conspiracy theory I do want to welcome a very new viewer to the live stream Leslie welcome to the channel says I'm so excited I just found this channel chat at 4 00 a.m well we're happy to have you here you're either up very early or you're either staying up very early or you're getting up very early but we're very happy to have you in the live here with us as well and we've got another YouTube content creator go check out his channel Bandit Survivor I've been wanting to get banded on the Channel with me for a recap review or some sort of a collab for a long time we've just been had never been able to make that work out because of my schedule currently and the time difference because he's over in the UK there's going to be a lot of content coming up for the UK as well so I'm sure Bandit will be covering that and he says

26:43 The fact that George and Simon's Tribal Council took seven hours is insane and you could kind of see that it must have taken a long time kuna because I spoke about that in my top five takes where I said Shawnee looked like the life was drained out of her at that Tribal Council I looked at her face and she was not having fun she did not look like she enjoyed it I feel like through the camera you could feel the tension of Simon and George going back and forth on their Tribal Council yeah I mean they showed every single time it happened Jordy just did the biggest cringe like pause it's like it's like oh man like he knows he's going and kind of making it worse for himself or he thinks he's going and he's making it worse for himself the whole way and yeah that the tension absolutely was palpable and once it kind of got going and we saw and George went on his beautiful rant like and really just brutally took him down like surgically as well and made him look like an absolute fool on TV that can't be comfortable sitting next to that like when like when someone's just getting completely humiliated and there's literally nothing they can do about it because they've been outplayed to that point it

28:03 Has to be tough just watching it and feeling like the tension right there the aura pressing on you know what I mean like yeah it would have been and this is this is the part I was the most critical of Simon you know and the whole thing like yes he got our plate so what he's not the first player that got outplayed he won't be the last player that gets our plate and Survivor there's winners and losers in every single season I'd I kind of felt Mucky that he was getting very personal in his attacks to George in their Tribal Council you know talking about George being a weak link not being able to vote himself out does he not care about winning he got second he only got second place so he was kind of starting to hurt some really low Jabs at him there and a lot of people said well you know George is arrogant and George has been I don't feel like George fought back at all but Simon really awoken that part of George that was like I'm gonna annihilate you right here and getting him to a point where he says check mate because he's like well you're not giving me any options here and trying to save Stevie and playing an idol I don't feel like I'm winning out of this situation he's like well welcome to playing with the King that is what it's like playing against me Mucky yeah exactly I do a girl Kahuna you know because my favorite joke is a win joke like you'll be like oh when did I ask when did I care so I did love how it started travel

29:23 Council and George was like I'm all about keeping the tribe strong and someone's like well you can't vote yourself out mate I don't think that was pretty funny but yeah someone went way too personal on this you know like George he's really good at playing the victim if you know what I mean like he's really good at you know really pissing people off but then becoming the victim but I do think yeah as Jordy said you know it's a game yeah like yes there are personal elements to it and stuff like that you can't get too nasty with each other and I think what happens is that George really rolls Simon up and then he just gets really personal belt yeah I think and I'd love to hear your point about this because I mentioned it on the top five takes that I did I said I feel like Simon you look at him he's physically in great shape he's a good looking guy probably you know as someone that is used to achieving a lot in life and doing extremely well now he comes on to survivor he's this big fan it didn't work out for him the first time someone like George comes in which he looks at George and he's like why is this guy so Superior to me in the game yeah he's illness and annoyed by the fact that George has got a legacy which he doesn't have he wants to become in his mind he already made up the whole thing about him becoming the king Slayer if you don't take the king out right exactly be careful of what you try and call

30:44 Yourself before you make the move and I feel like that's the reason why he was very butt hurt in this situation Kona yeah I mean I also wonder if there's an element like I don't know George personally but I imagine that Simon probably embodies a lot of people that he had conflicts within the past as well like you can imagine him maybe being bullied by people that look like Simon growing up and things like that so yeah maybe and I don't know I just want to I just wanna add we don't know Simon's background because a lot of the times when somebody gets into a bodybuilding it's because they were scrawny kid and they got bullied like I know having been in gym situations a lot myself having trained with people a lot of people that you meet they're the biggest guy in the gym they got bullied as a kid and that's what made them train and made them get and I'm not saying Simon did but I'm just saying we don't know you know I'm making big calls about Simon having been this guy that like maybe he wasn't that guy you know I'm just making an assumption based on his appearance you know he certainly gives off the like you said the image of success certainly would be a pretty easy label to slap on him without knowing right and for George I think not Simon personally but like I'm sure he's like been copying like I'm gonna show this alpha male who's trying to you know swing his dick around and really push things around I've probably he's

32:04 Probably dealt with that a lot growing up the you know ethnic we found out this year like was he out like I don't know if he was outed but I have no idea like I was yeah unsure about that as well but I mean obviously a lot of those things make you feel like you're on the outs he's never been in a tribe that's he's never been in a tribe that's embraced them like every single tribe he's been in has tried to get rid of always dealt with that and I reckon Simon in that moment was probably the embodiment of whatever he's dealt with over his time and really like took him out like thoroughly it was so great I loved it yeah I feel sorry holy crap it was I'm gonna read a couple of comments here Anthony says I love the back and forth insults between the two of them more arguing at tribal councils this is a reason that I think Australian Survivor is kicking Survivor Us's butt right now they've actually got people that are going up against each other and legitimately there are beefs which is what made Survivor so good back in the day when you had Russell Hans versus Sandra or Boston Rob or you know you had these big ones Sue and what was her name she said she wouldn't pee on it exactly you know Jerry versus Colby you know like I mean there's been so many great rivalries over the years and
