Has Survivor Taken Luck Too Far?

Clip · 26 Sept 2026 · 2 min

Summary

The hosts react to the coin toss coming back. One is excited that the budget can grow and imagines a winner taking five or six million dollars, but does not want someone to go home on a coin flip in a game of social strategy. The other jokes he would make Shot in the Dark a coin flip, and predicts someone will be forced to flip and refuse. They agree it was good TV in 50, but say it worked because of Devens, and Jeff wrongly credits the flip.

0:00 The coin toss is back. Your man, Devins, we thought he did the coin toss. He put it to bed. He was safe. It's back now. We spoke about it very briefly that we've got a budget here that can increase, which I'm excited for someone potentially five, six seasons down the line. Imagine someone winning

0:16 Five or $6 million in a survivor season. It'd be pretty epic and big news if that happened. But I don't really want to see someone go home on a coin flip in a game that is about social strategy. And that's the only thing that I've got an issue with personally. How do you feel about this?

0:33 Just why? Why do this? You know what? I would rather, maybe this is a hot take, make the Shot in the Dark a coin flip, a 50-50 chance. Then you'll see a lot more people playing it. It'll be adding this dynamic thought. But don't have a point, because they did that in what, 42 was

0:54 It or 41? It's like, do a coin flip. And then I forgot who it was that flipped it. But it's just a why. It was a good moment. And someone's going to get forced. I bet you someone's going to get like, because it's going to go down to it. It's going to be like, someone needs to flip a coin tonight. And everybody's going to be like, I don't want to flip that coin. And then they're going to

1:09 Have to go to rocks. And then someone's going to get the wrong color rock. The game's going to get blown up. I just like playing the odds. Someone's going to get screwed. I feel like in the game. Yeah. Look, it was, I didn't like it in 50, but it was good TV moment. I'm like, you know, everyone loves Devin's. Because it worked out well. It worked out amazing. Mr. Beast was there. Mr. Beast

1:29 Is the most popular. Great. It was great. It's a great TV moment. This is the perfect, the perfect like encapsulation of Jeff seeing something that worked once and being like, oh, that was because of the coin flip. And it's like, no, it wasn't because of the coin flip. It was really because Devin's is this particular player. Mr. Beast was there. And then he it just all turned out

1:49 That episode had the massive potential of being an absolute disaster and probably being one of the worst episodes of last season, or if not ever, we're going to see both Yubiki
