00 Welcome back to the Nullify Tech Channel here on YouTube where I've got the TNT takes for you on Million Dollar Island episode 10. That's right, I'm back with your top five takes here. I'm your host Chris and before we get into it, if you're new to the channel and you've just discovered it, please consider subscribing, hitting the like button, putting the notification bell on so you can be informed the next time that we do one of these episodes or when we go live to talk about the show. This is quite an exciting week. It is the beginning of finale week as we learned from and at the end of last week and we start this episode off with our first takeaway. Tess has all the power. She's the mom out there. She's the one that wants to take the money home for her kids and her family. So she has big decisions to make as she gets this power very late in the game and the big question for me personally was would she throw herself down there now that we've seen Chelsea do it successfully and then straight after that seeing it fail for Jayden, what was Tess's plan coming into this?

04 And I am quite happy to say that I think she made the right decision by not putting herself in danger and staying out of the elimination especially so late in the game and she does have the ability to throw down a few people down there and also have them face each other. So a lot of power that falls in Tess's hands here in this round in the game and she decides that she's going to try and get the most juice. She's going to try and squeeze the most juice out of this decision by going to Vine camp, a camp that she knows has all the food because they've been making it clear to everybody they're open for business and she goes there thinking that they're probably going to try and negotiate safety for themself in the game but surprise, three of the Vine members put themself in risk, you know, in jeopardy here by saying put us into the game please, Coach Tess.

57 And Jack, Briana, and Chloe all want to go down there. They want all the smoke and all the bracelets in this case. and Tess is quite surprised by this. And obviously, it's a no-brainer for her. She's like, "Yeah, sure. I'll put you guys down there." Less blood on her hands. She gets food in the in this negotiation as well. So, clearly winning out on this. And I was surprised that, you know, if you're going to throw yourself down there and you're going to give such a thing as food that's so valuable in the game, I feel like they should have gone one step further and probably negotiated who they would have liked to face down there. Like, for instance, when Jack went down there and he had Jordan going up against him, from the start I felt like that was not going to be an easy match-up for him. And we'll talk about that a little bit more when we get into the survival challenge. I'm surprised that they didn't go the extra mile. The only kind of slightly dodgy thing that she did here was that she also put down one of her tribemates, an Alex, who apparently became a little bit of a double agent going over to log camp quite a bit.

00 And they were afraid of They were afraid that her allegiance was no longer with top camp. So, playing that cutthroat game, she did make the decision to throw down the chef from their camp to go out there and prove herself. And that is something that I think is going to cause top camp a little bit of trouble later on in the game. And we'll definitely talk about that as well. Overall, I would rate Tess's moment of power pretty highly. I think she got away from it pretty scot-free, especially by the end of it. She doesn't have anybody left in the game that is necessarily angry at her. So, I thought she did a good job. And personally, this is how I would play it. I wouldn't go down there unless I absolutely have to, unless it's like the last minute and I'm going there for all the money. I think that is still the strategy to play at this stage in the game. So, like I said, I was surprised by Vine camp just throwing themselves down there so close to the end of work to keep the food as we get into takeaway number two here because Jordan in the beginning of this game he's out on his luck, he's struggling, he's dragging his ass in the game, he's tired, and he goes to Jack from Vine Camp saying, "Hey, I'm asking you as a human being." He's crying.

10 "Please give me some food. Give me some substance. I don't know if I can make it." And Jack, you know, everybody knows where I stand on this, he makes the right decision again by denying the food here to Jordan in the game saying, "Sorry, I can't do that for you, buddy. this is a competition, and you know, Jordan has the ability to go and quit if he can't make it." But Jordan does go from, you know, he's at the bottom, and at the end of this game he's at the top because he has to go in after all of this because Tess looked at him as someone that she wanted to get rid of. He's depleted and weak, but this could not have been set up better for him to do extremely well this episode. The challenge with his reach and his length was perfect for him to go out there. He seems pretty good in balance, and he does seem to be a clutch player who does bring it even when he's down and out, doesn't have food in his belly, feels weak, he still finds a way to win the daily challenge and to take all the bracelets home, which is a very impressive performance by him.

08 He also has the ability to judge the survival competition and then wins the spin at the end of the game. So, I don't think we've ever seen one player have more luck in one specific episode. What's the saying again? Like, you know, the more you train, the luckier you get. Well, the more Jordan gets thrown into these situations, the more lucky he's going to get. I don't want to take anything away from him because he did deserve his win at the end. obviously, the wheel spin, that's a different story, but, you know, having all of those bracelets, being the second richest person by the end of this game with 13 bracelets, 130K, he always had a good shot at winning the spin. All right, let's talk about takeaway three here. The challenge, what was my thoughts on the challenge? They had to go out on a beam out on the water, and we've seen this in Survivor before where they have to kind of try and throw each other off the beam, but this one had a slight variation on it, and they had to capture the flag that was attached to the opposing player before they hit the water or when they went to water, they had to get the flag.

07 Whoever got the flag won the specific round out there, and to be honest with you, I like this challenge. It gives you a little bit of you know, athleticism that comes into play. There's a bit of strategy that comes into play. Will you fake it out? But, you know, again, like I said, as soon as this challenge happened, as soon as I saw who Jordan was going to go up against with all the ladies and with Jack, I just knew they didn't have the size, the power, or the reach that Jordan had. So, I kind of knew that he had the best shot at winning. I think if Jack got past the first one, maybe it would have been up for grabs, but you know, Breonna could have probably taken Jack even at that point because she also had a very solid showing here going all the way to the final to face Jordan and then just losing out. And Breonna really just came to play very hard and has got a lot of determination.

58 I think if she could have survived here, she could have been a fan favorite for a lot of people there, and she could have been a role model for a lot of people who struggle with the same thing that she does out there having lost all of her hair at quite a young age. You know, I can't even imagine what that would feel like, especially for a woman to go through that. And I do think that she's a very powerful woman. I've definitely got a lot of respect for her. It's kind of sad to see her lose, but like I said, I knew I knew Jordan had the upper hand going into that final challenge. All right, straight after this, there's a bit of a fallout. Alex is pissed off because her camp has betrayed her. They threw her down there. Tess didn't make this decision alone. Tess was only listening to what the camp wanted when they threw Alex into this challenge to go and try and fight for her survival in the game. And because of that, she feels like she's got nothing to lose. She goes over to Vine Camp in the middle of the night and she spills the beans and lets them know that Top Camp have been stealing food from them the whole time.

53 Producers, I am severely disappointed in the fact that you haven't shown us this. This is some of those sneakiness behind the scenes cutthroat scenes that I'd love to see. Do you not have like cameras that can record at night or something? Because I would have loved to see how they stole this food out there. we had JoyJoy in the our live stream telling us that Top Camp did this because one of the questions myself and Mucky, the co-host for the live stream, had was in regards to why have no one stole food so far. And apparently for Log Camp it's a moral thing. They want to play this game at a certain high moral standard. Top Camp, I'm sorry to say even though we've had so much great support from Log Camp people so far in the lives and they're following us, you guys are awesome. I really love the cutthroatness of Top Camp. I like the fact that they're treating this as a game and they're playing very strategic.

45 So this does get out which really upsets Vine Camp. I think it's quite funny when they go to Top Camp and grills them about it because they're like, "Hey, listen, it's a game when Jordan comes and asks for food, but it's not a game when someone steals the food." It's still a game at the end of the day. Like who decides these rules out there? The players do. So I thought that was pretty rich of them. And then also afterwards, Tess, you know, I like her. She's a really cool character, but her going off at Alex for going over there and telling them about it upset about the fact that this could ruin their game. Hey, you just ruined Alex's game by throwing her down here. So, you know, what goes around comes around like Jordan says at the end of this episode. It does come down to karma. You put some bad karma out there, you're going to get some bad karma back your way. So, I had no problems with Alex doing what she did in that position. It would have maybe just made things a bit uncomfortable for her if she did survive the end of this episode because another thing that some of the players have told us in the live streams is that you can't swap camps after you've gone to a camp.

47 So, that makes it hard because she would have been stuck with these people who really despise her after this move. They already didn't like her, but they probably really didn't like her after she spilled the beans about the food situation and the fact that they stole food. How do you the viewers feel about the fact that Top Camp stole this food? Do you think that it is bad? You know, are you for it? I really don't care. I think it's all fair in love and war when you're in the middle of the game. All right, the last takeaway here is that the survival challenge for me personally was probably one that I liked the least so far. I'm not into any of those cooking shows, reality TV shows that you get out there as well, and it kind of felt like that. they had obviously a less ingredients than what they would have in their normal life. They had to just make do with some basic supplies that they had out there to cook up some protein and also make sure that you've got some vegetables with it.

41 And they had to prove that they can get a fire going, get the food going, feed people at camp. That's the survival thing, I guess. I will say that it probably would be a massive challenge for most people these days because I do feel like a lot of people have kind of lost the art of cooking good food. I can cook food, and I do cook food. I don't think I cook the best food. to give you an idea, I use all-purpose seasoning for all purposes. And apparently that's not a good thing. You've got specific seasoning for different things. I can do a good barbecue. I probably would have done something similar to Jack. Much preferred barbecuing than cooking at home. But the reason I didn't like this is cuz it kind of felt like it was set up for Alex to win. They knew they had a chef out there, so they were like, "This is going to make a great TV moment with a chef going out there and doing this cooking challenge." But she ultimately does not win.

31 Like I said earlier, Jordan gets the ability to come out there and decide whose food he likes the best and he does end up having to choose between Jax's food, which was this massive big fish with big protein. wasn't seasoned too well apparently and didn't have much variety to it, but he liked how the meat was cooked. He liked Chloe's food from the start and then also Alex's, but he goes in the direction of Chloe, someone that is shocked to win because she does do some basic cooking at home for the kids. Being a mom, you know, moms are the true heroes. I'll say that, you know, they have to go out there, do a hard day's work, then come home and feed their kids still. but so it's good to see a mom take it out here. I was a bit gutted for Alex cuz there was also a part of me that wanted to see her give it back to top camp cuz that makes for great TV. overall, that's my top five takes here for this episode.

24 I will say that this was one of my favorite episodes so far because of all the drama that was going on, different camps having a bit of back and forth with each other. that is always going to make for good entertainment and I feel like it's spicing up as we're getting into, I believe, the final 17 players now left in the game. It's about where we would normally start with a Survivor season. But they did say on the next on episode part that tomorrow night's episode is going to be the start of the final. So I don't know if that means we've only got like is the final going to be three episodes, one episode, two episodes? There's a bit of unclarity about that so far for me. Overall, I'm still invested. I'm still watching it. let me know your thoughts, comments below, and please subscribe. It really does help. We're getting close to 1,900 subscribers. It'd be really great if we could get there before Million Dollar Island finishes the season. And there's going to be plenty more shows to cover in the near future for Australian TV and also the US.

18 I'm really excited about it. But for now, I'll catch you guys next time. Bye.
