00 Welcome back to the nullified Tech channel here on YouTube where I've got the TNT takes for your million dollar Island episode nine that's right I'm your host Chris back with my top five takes here for episode nine but before we get into it smash that subscribe button click the notification Bell and also put a like at the end of this video If you do appreciate the content that I'm putting out there so that you can be informed next time we drop more off this content but let's get straight into it so takeaway number one this was Jaden's moment to shine in the game he had all the power winning the lucky roulette last episode and he had a big decision to make I think one of those decisions that's very easy for people who maybe feel like their morals wouldn't allow for them to go against their fellow tribe mates they might sit back at home saying I could never do what Jaden did this last episode but I do think that when the money is so close and there is so much at stake him being an immigrant coming to Australia his parents sacrificing everything for him to get to Australia he wants to repay that and also obviously he's seen his twin brother go home already without any of the money he had a big decision here to make you know to either value the friendships he's created over the 20 days or so that he's been on this island or to play for the people that he loved back at

20 Home and he does end up making a very difficult decision and I do think some credits should go to both of the opposing camps Vine and top Camp who kind of egged them on this episode to make the big move when he was kind of doubting himself because he did ask Corey at Vine Camp should I make this move to go up against you in the challenge for all the money and Corey said I don't want to go down there I don't want to put the bracelets at risk for our camp because at this point let's remember you know I think it's hard to forget actually the show makes it hard for us to forget but they don't have any food anymore so the one thing they did have was a lot of brace slits in their Camp which gave them a good opportunity to have power to make big clutch decisions in the game and obviously Jaden quite selfishly here decides to put Corey's bracelets up for grabs and he goes up against Corey and Chelsea the two players with the biggest amount of money and Chelsea's ready to rumble she's just come out of a challenge and she feels like she's got momentum behind her and then he goes up against Alistair and Lisa who he both believes will be easy to beat if it came down to it and he puts his mate Harry down there with him in the nominations overall if this move worked out for Jaden he would have been seen as the mad scientist The

41 Genius of this season almost like Chelsea was a week ago or an episode ago when she made this move to go and get all the bracelets but Jaden kind of overestimated his ability to win this challenge because let's not forget they do get a sneak or a hint of what will come and there was hang on for dear life so he had to know it had to do with endurance and potentially like grip strength or hanging on to something and clearly if you looked at his form in the challenge it wasn't the greatest so he definitely overestimated his ability going into this challenge but at least he went there and he tried something takeaway number two and I'm kind of talking about it a little bit already is the challenge in this specific challenge they all had to go and hang on to a pole upside down it came down to endurance and core strength to be up there and also a bit of a mental challenge you know how long can you hang up there you're going up against someone else and you've got to think about when will they break versus how much you've got left in the tank but there was also a small strategic part in this game where right at the beginning they had to nominate and which in which order people would get flipped upside down and Lisa goes and takes a shot at Harry very early on because he's one of the tallest people Harry fires one back at her and the biggest most shocking thing for me was that Corey was the last person to get flipped over and

01 I thought Corey was a legitimate threat to potentially do extremely well in this challenge but clearly his social game was next level with everybody loving him and even though he does get flipped last Chelsea ends up going up against her fellow PE teacher here in the battle of the teachers and does end up taking the money so she wins two challenges in a row becomes the richest woman again on the island and this time with a guarantee that there is no way for anybody to take this title away from her and I've got to say I kind of spoke about it last top five takes I really loved it I'm very quickly becoming a big Chelsea fan she's a battler she's someone that's going out there and doing it she's putting her mouth where her money's at or money where her mouth said if that makes sense but anyway she's not afraid to go down there and get dirty and get the job done and Brett is absolutely devastated there was even this little scene in the beginning of this episode with both of them talking and Chelsea sort of wanting to play a team game at least in front of Brett and Brett again saying I would throw her down they're in a hot second if I needed to I am here for Numero Uno and he is playing the individual game already at this stage in the game but you know him standing there criticizing again Jaden's move always being the person who's safe criticizing it has become old so I am happy that

21 There is a new Queen in town and that break most likely will have to go down and defend his bracelets very soon because it is a trend now for people to throw down those people with the most bracelets in the game all right let's talk about takeaway number three here and it's you know basically Jaden having to go back with his tail between his legs to vine Camp you know we saw immediately when he betrayed Corey and the rest of Vine Camp car Carla and also Kylie weren't too happy with him about that and they have to make a decision will they allow for him to come back into Camp will they be the bigger people because they've spoken about you know doing the right thing by people out there but they do you know follow through and allow him to come back into camp sleep there in his bed and also eat the food the you know lack of food I guess that they have they were eating bugs or something here in this last episode but at least he's allowed to be back in Camp even though they're not that happy with him and they're showing that they are trying to put their morals and being better people above the game at this stage I have to say you know I don't blame Jaden but clearly Corey really cemented himself here as someone that was a stable good bloke someone that they all really cared about and he felt a lot of this pressure during the scene you know when he is there at night he's thinking about the fact that he needs to win

41 The survival game to stay in the game for his camp and to bring back all of his bracelets so they have a fighting shot and it's sort of plays on his head in the evening and he can't sleep so he goes for a walk rolls and rolls his ankle and injures his ACL on a log in the middle of the night and he has to get medev act from the game and I have to say that this was not the way that I wanted to see Corey go out of the game he's been an absolute stud this season and really carried the show for a large majority of it as the main person who was sort of going up against brexit this Clearly Now leaves Chelsea and Brett as the two main people that are going to go after each other but I didn't want to see Corey go this way and it was said that he didn't get an opportunity to at least fight for his bracelets here in the survival challenge all right let's get straight into the survival challenge here is a shelter building competition in this specific episode and they have to build these shelters within 90 minutes and has to go and then judge which of the shelters are the best the most sturdy and also the best protected against the elements they have to build it underneath a sort of Rainmaker that they had out there and he had to leave so he didn't know who built which shelters out there and people might say why is Anne doing this if you've never seen ant on SAS he's

01 A legitimate SAS soldier who you know clearly would know a lot when it comes to survival and he was put to the test a little bit here to see how his judging skills would be when it comes to shelters and ultimately it comes down really to two people Alistair did a really good job with her shelter it seemed like the thing that probably didn't win it for him at the end was because he couldn't hold the water out and he didn't have all of his palm fronds in the right direction with the water sort of getting through and then Lisa who had the most sturdy or one of the most sturdy shelters out there had a really sharp incline on her roof which and didn't seem to impressed by and he said that you know with the sun and the wind it might not be as good it wouldn't protect you down there but there was no rain that got through her shelter because she was better at managing the palm fronds on their pointing her all downwards so that the water would not get into the shelter and I will say this I was thinking to myself when they were building this all of these contestants did an extremely good job because I've watched Survivor for 50 plus Seasons if you clout count all of the global Seasons into it and sometimes it takes these Survivor players ages to get a shelter ball granted they have to build it for more people but I was still very impressed with how quickly they could put this together and with the lack of food that they've had so late in the game to go out there and do this hats off to all of the contestants but Lisa you know who's a sailor with five

22 I think world records in sailing she proves herself and proves Jaden wrong that she is not a weak competitor and she is here to stay so well done to Lisa all right let's talk about the last takeaway here you know Jonathan quits the game and also surprise has dropped at the arena with a potential change to the game's format moving forward Jonathan comes to this you know conclusion that he has done everything that he has wanted to achieve in the game and he steps aside we haven't had any quitters for quite a long time and I was very excited to see people actually stick at it and try and get this money but Jonathan had two chances to dictate how the game was gonna go and clearly the lack of food at this stage is the thing that he can't get past because he does end up bowing out of the game giving his two bracelets to Carla who now has 50k if I remember correctly in the game which gives her a bit more power but potentially also could make it a Target because people seem to be going after those with more bracelets in the game and this could potentially mean that she could be in danger but you know by the end of this episode we do see the test one's power so maybe being from the same camp she will look after color in the spot she I think maybe a little bit more loyal to the camp than what Jaden was at this stage even though she isn't originally even from this Camp she just seems like a good person who

42 Probably wouldn't want to play the game at that level and also lets us know in this specific Arena that the rules of the game is going to change going into finale week so something to look forward to Chelsea is safe for now she won't be in danger going into this next week but I have a feeling that at some point everybody is going to be up for grabs as we get down to the final numbers in this game so excited to see where things are going to go and what we're going to be seeing here a little bit of a bonus take you know if I if I may it was interesting seeing the next on the million dollar Island sort of scene at the end of the episode where they showed a conversation that happened between Jack and Jordan with Jordan obviously knowing who Jack is they were both in danger at the same time he already struggled with food a couple of episodes ago and he goes to Jack's begging him for food in the game and the voiceover person was so dramatic like would you do this to another human being for one million dollars and jaxy's flat out no listen I can't give you the food and I had to laugh at the dramatic part of this or the dramatic effect of this voice over person you know asking the question because you guys know where I stand on it I think Jack is doing the right thing you know if he wants to quit

02 If Jordan wants to quit that option is out there for him in the game he is making himself suffer by staying out there in the game and they don't have much going for them but I do feel like it looks like Jack might be in trouble next week because of the fact that he's not willing to budge and give them food so I'm really excited to see how that is going to play out in this next episode who would have thought in the beginning of the season the most exciting part of this game is the Battle of the food and resources in it and the drama that brings to the show anyways that's it here for this week's top five takes if you enjoyed this I am going to be live with Mucky this week to talk about this week's action on the live stream so keep an eye out for that it's already on our channel for when we will be going live and make sure to join us and take part in the conversation this is going to be my first live in quite a long time I'm stepping in for Kahuna because he's got some personal matters that he has to attend to this week but looking forward to chatting to people on the live and also to Mucky to hear his thoughts on this week's action for million dollar Island but for now that's all I have for you catch you guys next time bye
