00 Welcome back to the nullified Tech channel here on YouTube where I've got the TNT takes for you on Australian Survivor that's right it may be off season but I'm back to talk about some topics while we wait for the new cast to be selected and the New Castle ways to go out to whichever Island they decide it's going to be next time and before we crown that new winner of Australian Survivor for now Liz can sit back and enjoyed the fact that she has just won the last season but I wanted to talk a little bit about why Australian Survivor has now kind of cornered themselves in a way where they have to start casting fans of the show or new players to the game it doesn't necessarily have to be fans it can be any new player that their recruit into the game as well but it feels like we've seen a lot of returny seasons in recent time so if you think about it we had Champions versus containers one that had Russell Hans a USA returning player coming into the game we had Champions versus contenders 2 which had Luke Toki come back no one was complaining about it at that time and I mean I Live For That season it's probably my favorite season of all time and then we had all stars After All Stars we had one season with complete newbies playing the game which was exciting to see and then followed by Blood vs water with returning players

20 Sam Mark Andy and Sandra Diaz twine and Then followed in by this Harris vs villain season the half and half when it comes to the cast so when you think about it they have tapped very deeply into that player pool of players that they have gone out to All-Stars and now have gone out to Heroes versus Villains and that leaves them in a space where they now need to create some new Legends of the game some new exciting players before I think we can go back to a full All-Star season in my opinions are my opinions alone I know that some fans may not agree with me on this and they would love for Luke Tokyo and David ganard to be out there next season but I would like for them to take a break from bringing back players that have already played the game just give us two or three seasons so we can get some new Legends and then give us maybe a full third times the charm or second chances season with some returning players coming back into the game okay so my first reason why I think they should move away from bringing back returning players to the game I've just mentioned it we've hardly had any Seasons without returning players at this stage and at this point it's becoming a little bit less of an event when you think about over in the Survivor us franchise whenever they had a returning season it was always a big showcase you were

40 Like excited to see players come back in All Stars because it was the best of the best of those first Seasons coming back or Heroes versus Villains was insane because you never thought you would see Colby Donaldson back out there see Tom Westman Stephanie you know players like James it was exciting to see them come all together and play this game but now it kind of feels like you know we'll get players coming back next season again from a season that have just shown so it's least exciting like seeing Hayley and George back I was excited for that 100 but we just saw them two seasons ago so it was a very quick and short turnaround to getting them back on our screens I think we can create more anticipation and create a bigger event around a returning season if we just waited a little bit and let it cook before we actually bring back these players into the game look at Survivor right now fans in the U.S are screaming for a returning season because we haven't had one since Winter's at War and we've got now gone Four Seasons without having any returning players back in the game so if they do a returning seasons for 45 or for 46 you know that it's going to be hyped and people are going to be excited to see some of their favorites from the previous Seasons come back to play against each other I also think that with the way that they've brought players back some of them have been hit and miss you know so for instance Mark and Sam the reason they

00 Did extremely well I think in blood vs water is the fact that they both went out very early in a player like Andy who was pretty good in his Original season yes he made some mistakes yes he overplayed but he had a biggest Target on his back coming into that season so he ended up in my opinion being wasted on their blood vs Water season I would have much rather seen Andy play in the same tribe as George I think that would have been something that would have been exciting for us as viewers to witness in the game so sometimes they can actually hit and miss they've definitely been a hurt more than a Miss if you look at someone the people they've brought back and I do know that they rely on these returning players to give them the viewership numbers but I do think they should start trusting in some of the new players that are out there or just cast a little bit better when it comes to new players all right my next reason here for why I think they should bring new players into the game is that sometimes with new players you get sloppy gameplay and one of the things that stood out for me when I did my interview with Jerry and that is up on the channel now if you want to go check that out is that he said that you know I was a new player I was making mistakes yes I didn't always do the optimal thing because I was learning the game while I was out there playing with the likes of Hayley and a George and a Shawnee these players that have played the game before and he feels like he would be so much better equipped to play the game if he goes out there again now having someone played the perfect game with almost making

20 No mistakes like Mark Wales or George this season it's not it's less exciting let's just be honest about it because sometimes it's good to see Sloppy gameplay it's fun to see people make mistakes and to see the power struck should be upset and for it to go up and down because in a lot of ways we kind of saw a pagoning for those that are not from the US show that means that one tribe was decimated after we got to the merge and that was the OG Heroes tribe while George ran the show for most of the post merge part of the game so when you think about that bringing new players in players that need to learn the game players that will probably say the wrong thing make mistakes I think can be an exciting season sometimes it's exciting to see players learn on the spot and let's not forget that Survivor is supposed to be a social experiment with strangers being stranded on an island together having to learn to work together and move within the game there's no way that you can tell me that this last season of Heroes vs villains had didn't have a pre-season Alliance going into it with returning players saying We'll have each other's back because we've played this game before that galvanizes a returning team versus a new player base that has nothing to Galvanize them and glue them together to work together in the game so that's another reason why I think we should move to new players for this next season if you think about it in some ways imagine Simon you know

40 The Simon effect because he had a lot of sloppy gameplay but it was entertaining to watch and we all lived for it by the end of it even though things didn't go his way I thought it brought a very fun and exciting element to the game which I think new players could definitely bring to the game alright so my next point is one that really kind of grinds my gears sometimes when it comes to Australian Survivor and their casting choices and again like I said maybe everybody that's listening to this don't have an issue with that I know that even sometimes my co-hosts will fight for the reason why Australian Survivor does this but it still annoys me and that is the fact that they go out of their way to recruit Instagram influencers or Internet influencers to come onto the show because they think that automatically that will translate into viewership numbers well here's the thing about the internet if you've got a hundred thousand people following you on Instagram it's not to say that all hundred thousand are in Australia and I can necessarily translate over to the TV show and then watch your product and I think that is being missed sometimes when it comes to some of these influences being on the show and then also it's okay to get influences on the show I don't have the biggest problem with that because sometimes times you do have to recruit you can't just have 24 game Bots playing the game out there because it will become pretty boring and in some ways maybe some of the later seasons of Survivor

00 Viewers have become very game body with the type of players that they sometimes have on there you don't want that necessarily but what you do want is someone with a great personality don't give them a pass just because they've got a big following make sure that they're entertaining they've got a great story to tell and that they can translate well to the audience and potentially have something up there that will make them think outside of the box to actually game the system within the game and try and play a good game those are the kind of people that I personally want to see make it onto the show not just the fact that their Instagram model or an Instagram influencer and for those that are fighting me on this for those that are saying well we have had some great Instagram influences play recently I mean David gennard I don't know if he was a fan from the start and he was a model obviously he knew Sarah tiliki so that maybe that's the way he got onto the game he had a great personality and was entertaining to watch my counter argument would be that it's definitely more missed than hit at the moment for me when it comes to that because if you look at the recent seasons four to five people get all the confessionals while the rest of them are quiet so if they're that great if they're that entertaining why don't we see them why don't we get to see them talk about their game what they're doing I do believe that most of the personalities that they get on there are not great television so they really have to think about television first before they look at an

20 Instagram influencer and they're following before they put them out there so the next second I want to talk about is the fact that we've now got a whole range of new dedicated fans to the franchise that have been watching it since the beginning I know they've been the first two seasons came out for Australian Survivor there was a lot of question about will the show get canceled will people actually watch it I do think we've now gotten to a place where there is over about 700 000 people on average watching it every single time that it's show those over in Australia now if you I know it must not sound like a lot to people that are from the US but that's about 2.7 percent of the Australian population so if you had to convert that over to the US it's probably close to about 8 million people watching it consistently to give you a bit of an idea so it's a pretty solid number for Australian TV to get that consistently these fans out there they've watched the game they want to feel like there is a chance for them to get onto the show I think it's one of the things that appeals to a lot of people like even myself well I've watched it for as long as I have is because I've always felt like maybe there's an opportunity one day that I can get casted to play on a Survivor season and watching the show trying to learn from people what they're doing right what they're doing wrong kind of thinking to yourself this is what I would have done in that moment you know that is one of the things that keeps the audience engaged so giving the fans absolutely no hope to get

41 Onto the show if you close down the casting process and if you only get influences on there and you only bring returning players on there I think it's a sure-fire way to turn fans like myself away from the game because you want to believe that there is a hope there is a chance for one of us to get onto the show and potentially play the world's greatest game those are kind of my points on why I think we should look at getting more new players onto the show for future seasons of Australian Survivor do you think that the Australian Survivor produces the casting team they're looking at it at the same why do you think that they will bring more players and now it looks like they've opened up the casting to the Australian public so I'm hopeful fingers crossed I know of at least two people that have applied for the show myself I'm not going to say their names right now but I'm really hoping that those people get onto the game because I know that they will be exciting to watch if they do go out there and play the game as fans what is your take on it do you think that we should give it a rest when it comes to returning players on Australia Survivor please let me know if you do like this type of off-season content I do want to dive into some more wider topics here on the Channel please consider liking that way I know that you want to see more of this type of videos and please consider hitting the notification Bell so you can be informed next time I go live we're covering a lot of different shows at the moment Survivor 44 and the

01 Challenges currently airing and we're definitely covering both of those Seasons as well comment below let me know your thoughts and for now grab your torches head back to Camp I'll catch you guys next time bye
