Rumoured Cast: Australian Survivor HvV Early thoughts

0:00 Welcome back to the nullified tech channel here on youtube where we will be talking about australian survivor euros versus villains once again here on the channel it's been about a week since we were made aware of this new season that is going to be taking place it's going to start forming apparently in august this year and it's going to be euros versus villains for the very first time since in survivor usa we will now also get a season of heroes versus villains in australia there's been some mixed fan reception in regards to the season some people are immediately on board they're just happy to see people returning some of their favorites returning playing the game and also i think that a lot of fans that are in australia that watch the show they appreciate the fact that australian survivor is really evolving into its own thing compared to what the us is and there's some positives and negatives about both survivors of africa that will be also on air very soon with return to the outcasts which is also evolving into its own thing we've got three english versions of the show that are all very different they're evolving i feel like almost into different shows so i have had a week to think about this theme of heroes vs villains that's going to be playing out on australian survivor and i'm back now to talk about it again after a week off digesting you know my initial thoughts were very low on it

1:20 I still lean towards not being overly excited about the fact that we're using a theme such as euros versus villains in this capacity where it's basically half rookies half veterans coming back to play the game i think there's better season or theme names they could have used for it could have been you know vets versus newbies or whatever you want to call it i don't like the fact that we're using this theme here instead of bringing in a full all-star cast of villains and heroes to go on against each other i just think it would have been so much more epic i think the u.s proved that it can be really epic when you do that in a full season but i'm back today to talk about who has been rumored to be on this season there are some rumors that have hit the internet about a few potential players that might come back to play in this season and a lot of people are shocked that these rumors are coming out so early before the season has even started filming to the point where the person who originally i think gave us the theme of harris vs villains way before it was even on inside survivor i think they had an idea of what the theme of the season was going to be they also they also leaked six players on line but that has since been removed from reddit so it's no longer on reddit and maybe that has to do with the fact that they don't want to prevent

2:40 These people from actually going out there because technically then if they're only filming in august there's still a month left so production could change their mind in regards to the players that are out there or that they're going to be using not that i think they actually will because they are more looking at the casual massive fan base opposed to the small minority of people who actually look into who's going to be on the cast who goes onto reddit who reads articles about the show before it's even on air you know your average mom and dad or casual fans sitting at home they're not necessarily going to be aware of the fact that there are some rumors out there about the theme of the season and who potentially could be returning but i wanted to do a little bit of reaction to the players that are being rumored to come back i am aware that there's a few people that have asked me also who would i like to see come back but that's maybe going to be a bit of a longer video so depending on how much time i take in this video i might break it into two parts so we'll talk about the rumored castaways that are rumored to come back and also who i think potentially should come back for another shot so without further ado let's have a look at an article that came out this week online that also talks about this rumor so it's still out there even though it's been removed on reddit there are still some articles out there that talks about the fact that there are six players apparently that are locked in to come back all right so the article that i'm looking at is

4:00 Can be found on who.com.au it says has the 2023 australian season cast been leaked with a question mark it's hard to keep a secret in this age of reality evie but we are happy to receive any australian survivor gossip the internet would like to serve to us the hit show which aired at 7th australian season earlier this year has been confirmed to return to channel 10 next year and it looks like production will be taking their first step at a pretty popular theme and that there is the whole reason that i'm super nervous for this season it's a popular theme maybe most australians don't watch survivor us there is a chance apparently when i had shannon gus on the podcast not that long ago and we talked about the potential of a crossover season she did mention that a lot of people weren't that high on sandra diaz twine playing the game and they weren't even aware why she was the queen and there was like a little bit of standoffishness from the casual fans out there so maybe i'm just the exception of people that are worried about this theme falling flat given that the survivor has been running for the us for over decades now fans of both versions have been keen on aeros vs villain season for quite some time but we needed to build up the euro and villains in the aussie game before we get our own version of it yeah you still needed to build it up like if you've got half a cast

5:21 Of returnees coming back that's a clear sign that you shouldn't be doing it sorry i said it wasn't going to be negative on this one thankfully it seems to be going ahead in 2023. if a rumor is reported by so dramatic are to be believed so who are the heroes and the villains taking part in this australian season so dramatic has reported that the 2016 winner christy bennett is on board likely as a hero and i can see it i can see christy bennett coming back as a potential hero she was an underdog throughout season one i don't think anybody really thought she was gonna win back then and she was outside of the numbers outside of control for a big part of that game but she was a super fan of the game who got to the end chose the time to step up and win some challenges and she ended up pitching i think one of the best pitches one of the best sales pitches we've ever seen to a final tribal council to beat someone that was way more in control of the game throughout the season by basically telling people that she was more in control than i even think she was throughout that game but you cannot hate the player you know hate the game and i actually do i am interested to see what christy bennett could do on a return season i think it would be interesting to see how she goes and even if people who go back to play the game again firstly if they know who she is like none of the newbies will know

6:41 Because they'll all be celebrities probably who haven't seen the show and even if they do get to watch the show before they go on i've got a feeling australian survivor would probably give them all stars to see how david goodnight played to promote that type of gameplay or maybe like a brains versus braun season which had two very strong players and hayley and george they'll probably get them to watch some of those seasons more so than christy bennett's first season because those weren't necessarily one of the seasons that had the most exciting gameplay from the start it didn't like there's a lot of people who wanted to play mateship anybody that was strategic they were called a snake and try to they try to get them voted out it was all about playing a fair and straightforward game that season so i think a lot of people might not even know who kristy is so i think christy could come back in a situation like this and do a lot better than what we maybe think i'm not a big fan of winners coming back playing with new players because i all you know i always think like when a winner comes back even if they come back in a returning season they've got such a big target on their head as someone that has already won and normally players go into it saying well she's had her moment to shine so let's just vote her out or vote him out immediately let's not give them a chance to get in the game and potentially win so i always feel like they kind of have no shot unless they come back in a winner's season or maybe like a winners versus runner-up type of season in the future but

8:01 I'm not angry at christy coming back i'm actually quite interested to see what has changed in her life since she played last time i mean she was this big fan who went out there who won the game she probably didn't have as much control of the game as she would have liked to have had throughout the show she was physically reasonably capable she still looks like she's in shape now she's been keeping in touch with the survival world even though she's not been on a lot of podcasts and things like that she i think she's been in touch so yeah i mean i could see her coming back so not surprised with that one not hating the hero pick there other rumored returnings will include 2019 competitor sean hamson a retired afl player best remembered for his in teams rivalry with survivor all-star david ganat and survivor superstar shawnee fiofax who competed in both 2018 and 2020 series making top 10 both times so let's talk about sean hampson first so sean was and champions versus contenders 2 which i've said many times on my channel is my favorite season of australian survivor i really enjoyed it i think it had such an all-star cast even though you know predominantly had new players playing in that game except for luke toki who came back sean was someone that definitely i think would be a hero if he was to come back played a very straightforward game tried to stay with his alliance he was very much the leader of that alliance but definitely

9:21 Didn't have the game savviness and was outplayed by someone like a dave that season who ultimately got the leg up on him but it's no shame to get outplayed by the likes of a luke toki or a david cannot he got full to swap his idol with david ganat that season for a fake idol i liked him you know he's gonna be a hero he's gonna come back hopefully with a little bit more games heaviness i've heard some players who played with him who told me that he was a lot more in control that than what we even saw on the show so maybe it could be a good person to come back i'm not opposed to that in fact i'm more for one-time players coming back so that we can see them for a second time than what i am for three-time players so the next person here is shawnee fairfax fan favorite one of my favorite australian survivor players definitely want to see shawnee playing a heroes versus villain season and i think she's a hero more than anything else i know she was on the outs sometimes and had to sort of wiggle away up with vanilla in his season who i would rather see come back as the person who hasn't come back yet for that second try so i don't know if people will put her and there's like a villain but i don't see shaunie as a villain i definitely see shawnee as a hero as well so far you've got christy shawn and shaunie all his heroes i'm not overly excited to see her come back but maybe this is yeah i love shawnee i want to see her come back a lot of the times to just clarify but i don't

10:41 Know if this is the season with half her attorneys that i would like to see her in like i want to see her again like an all-star season but this is the best opportunity for her to come back and potentially win the show because she's coming back with experience like and we know that normally two-time three-time players they're more likely to win the game that's why mark won last season that's why luke toki went deep the first time he played they're normally pretty successful as for more recent castaways george who came in second in 2021 is also on the list as well as jordy hansen and nina twine who only made their debut this year on blood versus water so george big character up there with the david gennatz the luke toki's of this world it was always just going to be a matter of time of when does george come back i don't think anybody ever thought george wasn't going to come back and play the game i mean he was arguably the biggest character in his season haley obviously was very powerful as well as a character and a player very good strategist one of the best strategists we've ever seen in the game definitely overplayed his hand a few times but got himself out of crazy situations like playing an advantage that early in the game where he took half of the tribe away from tribal council and then having to scramble pretty much throughout the game to get into a position of power and a couple of i think swaps played out in his favor his ally cara not being voted out

12:01 Or yeah they thought she was voted up she ended up going to the other tribe which she was a big part of his game and helped him throughout but yeah i'm happy to see george he's gonna be a villain he should be on a villain's tribe jordy again the joker i was a big fan like i don't i don't necessarily think jordy was a great player in his first season because he fell outside of the numbers had to scramble the whole time due to things that he did where people didn't trust them which to me shows that there is a certain lack of social awareness there's a certain lack of wanting to be a big player to come back which he's accomplished and i give him credit for that but i don't know like how he's going to do in a season such as this maybe him and george hopefully can find a way to work together i do think that jordy does have the ability to play a big game though and he's a massive character and definitely deserves that second call 100 deserves a second goal so he's going to be a villain nina twine for me i put her on a hero's tribe just for the sake that she's sandra's daughter who was a villain i'd love to see her daughter come back as a hero and i actually think nina wanted to play a big game she wanted to play this cutthroat game and backstab people and she did end up orchestrating some votes in the beginning of that season and backstabbing i guess people but i don't look at nina as a villain

13:21 At all i even thought she had the heroic send-off when she got injured in her season and the fact that she's coming back i think was always it was predetermined that jlp said she would come back and play the game again so none of the names here so far shocks me too much maybe sean maybe christy you could have said like those are the two people that it's kind of shocking to agree but i'm actually not too shocked by those names either to be honest jody has remained in the public ice and starring in the show beginning a relationship with australian actress sam frost whose brother competes competed with jordy in the 2022 season meanwhile nina's return will be hotly anticipated given she had to leave the show prematurely due to an injury nina is the daughter of sandra diaz twine a famous survivor us player they came to australia to give him blood business water you know it's not completely unexpected with the eagle-eyed fans noticing a minor detail in the australian survivor instagram that indicated she might be coming back the post they posted a photo of nina after she left the game captioning it in the words this is nina's hero origin story so okay well if they're saying that it's her euro origin story then clearly she's got to be a hero when she comes back which i believe she should be we're so sad to see the princess leaf this way thanks for playing we see that you did we see what you did there channel team while the rumors are just that for now

14:41 We would not be more excited to see if these iconic players will make their grand return in 2023 so there we have it we've got six players rumored to come back how do you guys feel about these six players do you think that they hit the money with these players do you think that these are the players we want to see come back i think the next video i'll do as a follow-up to this one we'll go into a little bit of the players that i would love to see come back in aeros versus villain season overall i still feel like this is too soon even with these big names i'm going to enjoy the season regardless but i'm not going to care about the celebs it's just the honest fact and i feel like with these half and half seasons that's always the case fans was favorites was always the same thing normally i didn't care too much for the fans that played against the favorites it was always to see the favorites come back and beat the fans you know so and i know as a producer they probably don't care too much about it i've got a feeling they made this decision because blood versus water wasn't maybe as well received as they would have liked it to have been and now they're sort of pushing it to get a really popular theme out there create some buzz about the show but yeah where do they go next season that's the question do we have another half season do we then get fans first favorites for the next season it was brought to my attention that we've only had two seasons an australian survivor where there
