2:41 This cast is them basically having all the same hot takes right like they're all agreeing with each other on the hard takes and it's the coldest of cold takes it's not even a hot take we need to get into it we have to talk about the hot tapes eventually I don't know if you want to get that now go for it because okay everybody annoyed me so much so I actually slightly disagree slightly agree with you some of the takes I was like you're just like kind of sucking up to Jeff I feel like 100 I'm like Jake if you want to get on the show all you need to do is say you love the age of Extinction you love the 26 days clearly Jeff has got a type and he only wants to bring people okay they'd love it yeah so I yeah one guy it was Brando and Brandon which that's gonna be extremely great choice producers great choice producers exactly and apparently Bill apparently Brando's real name is Brandon so what weird I don't know but yeah so Brando said that he his heart take that he is he likes the twist edge of Extinction and I was like but brand done was like I like the season which I think that's a perfectly good take I think the season edge of Extinction is good it's got good players

4:01 It's got good moves the twists the ending the winner that's a different story but all right so you reckon that they on purpose maybe didn't give him enough opportunity to clarify what he was thinking and they were just like yeah tell us more but because one of the guys were like talking about how there were people walking around with Edge Of Extinction apparel and he wanted to steal it yeah that was that was the guy that said he likes the season you know yeah I'm like okay it's not that great so I was annoyed I jumped on to the nullify take Channel onto the community post and I put a little bit of a vote out there for people and I said do you think the new format of Survivor since season 41 has provided us with three options better gameplay worse gameplay the same gameplay and overwhelmingly 73 of people on this channel voted worst gameplay 19 of people say that's the same gameplay and only nine percent agree so maybe it is a hot take only nine percent agree with the players that are actually on the season but it means that if you want to get on the season Kahuna you just have to become one of the nine percent this less competition if you say you love everything Jeff is doing you can get on because most of us don't like it I feel like you just need to play into his delusion yeah I don't think the approach with someone that has clearly a very big

9:22 All right so how it's going to work is for each confessional that a cast member gets they'll get one point for Team Challenge runs they'll get Five Points individual and Team Challenge wins means outright wins not the team that plays a second individual immunity wins will give them eight points making the merch will give them Five Points successful Advantage play which we only had from memory one last season I think it was Brandon right at the beginning of the season you'll get 10 points for that so maybe people are ripe when they say there's worse gameplay because I don't know if people are reading the room correctly these days finding the advantage would be five points which I think we should also say like I don't know do we keep finding like last season I gave finding an advantage to people who was given advantages by The Twist should we keep it that way or should we be like no you actually have to find it can't just be something where you go to shuffle Island and they say congratulations you chose to come here on the right day you've got an idol like maybe you could differentiate between like if they if they risk something then you give them the points but if it's like I think they're just you know like yeah you just given I think it was it Josh like from last season that was like on there and he was just given and it was a few of them because they had to swap into another trap so they were given safety for one week yeah I like that I think we put that disclaimer in there

10:42 Then votes against them will count minus 0.5 the runner-up of the season will give 25 points the winner of the Season would get 50 points then extra bonus points for the end of the season will go to most confessionals most individual immunity wins most advantages found least voice casted against them and most advantages played correctly each one would be 25 points for those that are interested on where the points ended up last season as a quick recap we had Kahuna in first place at 454 points closest person to kuna was myself at 341.5 points and Jake you were alive place last time you went from first to last you were at 322.5 points overall so Jake what's happening here buddy have you changed your strategy coming into this one I don't know what I could really change other than because in 43 I just kind of winged it I was just like these people give me a good vibe and I kind of did the same thing in 44 what I think I need to do is Maybe I think I made a few mistakes if there were a few people that I was looking at like oh I'll be able to take them later but

12:02 Then somebody else took them so maybe I need to be more bold in the earlier selections the hot thing is knowing who to be bold about like I've got my list but am I actually like I need to get this like last year yeah was like consensus number one yeah but here I'm like I don't know who I'm gonna risk like or who I can leave for later are you guys gonna want this person like yeah I don't know yeah we don't know how the other people are feeling I think yeah even yeah last season we had a better feel of like okay like you know yam and Carolyn I mean come on like those are like the go-to's but that's not the case this season at least and even Matthew even Matthew last season like yeah you didn't make it deep but he was a standout because our fourth picks were injured yeah exactly and I mean I mean this is how crazy it was because we ended up like a kuna I ended up with both Carson and Carolyn as his first two picks like that's how much they stood out to her yeah exactly and I don't see the same this season so it's gonna be interesting but I did get a couple of comments coming in here Jay asking can the viewers join in on the draft for this one probably not because I don't know how we make it work with the uneven numbers but in the future we almost had four people

20:08 For me I'm a little bit worried because I picked them as a number one but there were also other players who picked him as a number one which is not good if people are already like this guy will probably win the whole thing but I'm still gonna go down that way because I feel like I need to stick to my guns and I'm going to pick Caleb's screw you that was my number one I really like kind of guy that was my guy I like him so the reason I like it yeah you know what I'm gonna be honest with you man I was going through all of the cast things and I was even telling Kahuna I'm like man like they all seem so similar like it's almost like I'm reading the same bio like five six times in a row and I was so bored at that time and then his one comes up and I see him talk and I'm like wow this guy's so cool he's so different I can actually relate to him he's in software sales I just came from a company that is in software sales I still works this guy this guy gets it he gets it he's going to be there he's a sales coach as well I think so like sales coach to influence and yeah I love it Canada wins a lot when they play in the show like I mean you gotta you gotta like that and I think that one of the things I loved about him is also his awareness because when asked the question about who do

21:28 You identify most with or who do you play who will play like the most he said I would love to say Tony but I won't I won't go there yeah so out of respect and I was like my guy like he's he gets it like he gets that a lot of them is almost like coming into the season thinking they'll be the Mastermind where I feel like he knows that maybe it's not going to be as easy as that but I like him and I think that a lot of people are going to like him in his tribe the person who kind of looked out at him as a Potential Threat was Brando so that relationship needs to very early on become strong between the two of them because I can see a few things happening there but we'll probably talk about that a little bit more when we talk about Brando whenever we select him but obviously being in the yellow tribe I think that they're going to need that strength I really do I don't think he's going anywhere early on even though a lot of these early challenges are puzzle based like we've heard I think strength still counts for something as well so I don't think people want to get rid of him immediately and if he's fun to be around he'll be around for a while Jake why did you have such a big reaction on him I mean pretty much just what you said and like I was specifically watching the like right before this the how the cast the cast assessment them sizing each other up and just a lot of nice things and I just read this comment too and I didn't

26:49 Being late Jewish New Year Happy New Years to yeah that's awesome welcome back to the channel relative realness is here in the channel as well saying are you guys taking who else is in their tribe into consideration 100 we are as you can see we've got all of the different colors here as well to sort of keep us on track and we've all three picked someone from a different tribe to begin yeah interesting strategy to start with I'm not going to think about that I don't know if I get all the same team and they perform poorly we could be out early oh hmm yeah additional levels of strategy because it's interesting because yeah I think more and more people getting picked from the same team as we continue on will probably have some hypotheses in regards to where people are going to go and how they're going to play I like Jake he seems like someone that has a lot of common sense about him he lost 80 pounds while working two jobs and getting his degree in college so I did a lot of running and things like that he believes studying for the bar exam sort of helped him prepare for the show at one point I was wondering like you know we're just picking people that are like University grad students attorneys and things like that all kind of seem very similar to me I didn't have Jake as high as you I had Jake in the middle of the pack for me on the men's so far but again

34:53 Tori from season 42 and Ellie from season 43 who were also therapists they said don't come off to Ellie okay just listen I really like that I really liked Ellie on the season but I just didn't like what they said about being a therapist and how it would help them on Survivor because people trust in me to say things and it's like yeah and then they paid you like you know like service and Hannah brought that up she's like I didn't like how they said that you know that's not how it works you know we're not like manipulating them and I was like thank you so I just felt validated for my I was like yeah you get it so you must also be really good at Survivor so I'll pick you all right let's move on to the next pick here and I'm gonna I'm gonna go in the direction I wanted to go and it's I this could go either way for me this could go either way but this guy reminds me kind of a little bit of yan yam in his stature but it's not why I'm picking him I'm picking sifu as my next pick here of the

36:14 Off the block and the reason I like sifu is because sifu I've got a lot in common with seafood some martial artists I've done karate for many years so I think from that perspective I think there's a couple of hidden skills that he may have that people won't know about if you are good at karate in general you've got or like any kind of martial arts you've got good balance you've got good dexterity you've got good endurance you've got good control of your emotions and things like that unless it's like a you know something that he didn't really go far in they didn't say how many years he's done it for but he is a coach as well and he's a trainer a gym owner an entrepreneur kind of does all of the things that I'd love to do you know first day I'll pick Caleb for the hair I wanted now I'm picking Seafood for the lifestyle I want and so I've got a trend here and then also I like the fact that he identifies with Tony which obviously is my favorite player so much and he loves Dragon Ball Z when I saw that I was like I'm sold this guy is like can we be friends sifu can we hang out because you seem like a cool dude man like we've got so much in common but I do think that he could do extremely well obviously there was some comments made about the fact that he eats a lot when they were observing him and how is he gonna do without the food and all that kind of stuff but I feel like there's been other people on the show before we forget gabler lest we forget gabler in
