5:21 Tiani I forget how B said it I don't know if Bo is like the standard for pronunciation of Southeast Asian names but it's the best got so I'm trying to get off what Bose got they head to a souvenir shop for their clue which basically directs them to Anor what very famous temple sort of setup in Cambodia where they have to find an offering search for a monk at the highest points of anawat and there's a little bit of a trick in that as well what did you think of this sort of first step in Cambodia here Landing in or going to what is one of the most famous places in Cambodia Michelle did you like ankor wat I've never been there I love the whole history of it all I love Anor wat and I love it when they go to major sites in the world just to give us a sneak peek into the insides of them as well I love the clue you know find him from up high because you know you have to think outside the box yeah absolutely because they just assume they're looking for the monk at the highest spot Harry and Teddy actually do a pretty good job here Tom in finding the monk first they're quick off

6:41 This off the thing but unfortunately they forgot something along the way kind of a big part of it all is the offering right I mean I think that's wouldn't have been that bad of a strategy I mean it wasn't like that far behind like the actual area where the gifts were so OB they couldn't run which is a problem but like not having to waste time climb the stairs and all that I felt that would have actually almost saved them time if anything oh by finding him without even looking for the highest point they found him can go get the offering and go straight back to the same spot without worrying about yeah I'm surprised they was still at the end like by the end of that challenge so accidentally failing upwards Harry and Teddy there Allie and Angie though V they actually arrive first they give their offering to a monk to a monk just some random whoever around thoroughly confused by the whole thing yeah that's the thing I just imagine like you give someone it's an offering right it's not like you're asking and then they ask for a clue he's like I'm clueless I don't know what you're talking about and then they

8:02 Imagine I think they went and got a different one I think they left that one with him I think they thought it was too mean to take it back but I love that little trick of looking out the window that's I love little puzzles like that really captured my imagination and I didn't think about the boys failing upwards I thought that would have cost them time but you're right they didn't then have to go up the stairs and do that whole thing so yeah I'm surprised that didn't actually work out in their advantage because should have but at the time I was like oh boys you're so silly it's at anchor what that we start hearing about how the teams have kind of separated into two factions almost with Darren and Tristan Beck and Kate kind of racing together at this point anyway and Haley and Emma or Emma and Haley come up and they kind of give him a bum steer what do you think of this tactic here Michelle I bum Ste is a fight like you're at the pointy end here you've got less teams yeah tell them to go a different way or say I don't know when you really do I mean you then you're not being mean and callous you're just saying I don't know I mean but Yan and Co why did they help Ali and Angie like yeah fine they're kind but no

9:22 Don't help like you don't need to help So eventually we get to the point where they both everyone Jan and core Alli and Angie they were the sort of the last ones they open the detour though and The Detour gives us protect your house or protect your Empire and teams choose between recreating a traditional Little Spirit house sort of setup and or learning bokator which is a martial arts it looked very similar to I guess Cambodia southeast Asia like I was getting Tai Muay Thai kind of vibes from it and I didn't know Cambodia had this like of course they do like every you know country that's old enough has their own version of martial arts in Southeast Asia or Asia in general but yeah tough choice between these two do you make the house do you play fights like and like imagine the I Yana said to cor you probably want to do the fight because you know the bloke the guy thing all the guys chose the thing why would you choose here V what you choosing the spirit house you're choosing the fighting what are you doing here look any opportunity to not do anything to physical I'll take so if you've got physical or non-physical I'm going for the non-physical

10:43 Having said that core and his coring doing my head in I can't I it was doing my head in so yeah but yeah I always go for the nice like look at something memorize it do it look at something rather than the moves look too hard I don't want someone jumping on my back Tom are you jumping on people's backs if I'm therey if I'm there with my mom then no because she wouldn't not be able to do that even remotely but can I just put it out here right now Jana is as useless as George the only difference is she has a 16-year-old giraffe carrying her like honestly the only challenges y has been good at this entire time our eating challenges everything else she can't do and then she oh anyway no I would do the other challenge especially because like there's like the one I don't know if you were allowed to run in between like the one the one kilometer between the example and then your little house you have to do but that'd be perfect for me I'm a long distance R so I'd just I'd probably get my teammate to remember the interior and I'd remember the exterior of the house and then I could run back and forth

12:03 To like relay information about you know the no one did that Tom they were I was watching them no like straight away I wrote down why isn't someone looking at the inside someone looking at the outside they just seem to be looking at everything together and I'm like why aren't you breaking this up making it easier for yourselves yeah that was frustrating but then when Jana was trying to jump on C's back and saying oh you're so wobbly I'm like yeah you're jumping on his back he's not going to be standing like stiff as a tree like oh the things she says these next two episodes I'm very surprised cuz I thought she'd be able to keep her cool being an Olympian I thought she'd be able to keep her cool a bit better than she's shown especially this week the stress just seems to break her almost well with the with this challenge broke her immediately I mean being an Olympian though like she was a what was she was a hurdler and like once that gun goes you run for like 10 second or what's hurdles maybe 15 seconds for 100 meter it's also not a team sport yeah exactly you just run so she must tunnel vision

13:23 And it's also something she's incredibly competent at that had been doing her entire life and gotten to the peak of her sport so it's not like it was difficult for her like it's difficult to push and really find the Peak Performance but it's something that she'd done a probably I mean a hurdle she'd probably jumped a billion in her lifetime I don't know like or 500 M however many million hurdles she would have billions Saye I don't I can't believe I said a billion she would have jumped a lot of hurdles in her lifetime right but then you put you do a task that you're not familiar with that is difficult to learn that he's in a foreign environment that you're tired like yeah the frustration is coming through so much so that obviously it's impacting all of us viewers because even Ellen agreed with you I was screaming so much at Yana these two episodes crazy he takes it even further if I was CAU I would have Wall uped Tiana during the challenge you're an athlete for God's sake as Edmund Edna Mode says in the CR pull yourself together yeah she's not she's got Ellen is going in on Jana look there's three comments back to that if the 16y old team is the one holding together then you need to reevaluate your contribution thank you

16:05 She discusses things with me and she think she's right and I can't argue with her in the end I say okay let's move on I can't this move on because then she doesn't like that but I can say okay yeah and I'm inside I'm going Jesus Christ she won't listen to me [Music] all I know is if Jana and core win this Jana is no sorry not Jana cor is going to like you know be so popular P like popular at school because he's going to be the first person to single-handedly win The Amazing Race the first solo team honestly he's just got an absolute ball and chain he's dragging around everywhere and I didn't think I'd feel bad for the 16-year-old giraffe yeah so yeah that's right so Erin said the teams went from complaining about George and Pam in confessionals to pointing out that Yan and C lack of communication yeah they found a new focus and Jana just serving it up for people on a platter as well like really just going at a 16y old boy who's trying his ass off and she doesn't seem to be yeah carrying the weight as Tom likes to point out very pointedly

17:25 So during this during this challenge obviously they struggled they had some difficulty with the communication it allowed Harry and Teddy to actually Leap Frog Jan and core they were in last place Y and core now moving to last place they're freaking out and we go to roadblock after this so Ali and Angie em and Haley they complete their Spirit house the fight gets the walket tour gets completed and we get who's good in the kitchen is the is the question sneaky yes cook so they think they're gonna cook yeah oh that's true actually they did Michelle you know full well the history of like you I know you weren't here last week but I did say I quoted you as an inspiration because I saw on the Facebook group that you said anytime there's an eating task on The Amazing Race you do the other one if there's a detour if you're given the choice don't do the eating one but when it comes to a road there's no you have to do it the choice then becomes which partner does it right so how do you do you sus out who's good in the kitchen is this GNA be you're in Asia you're eating bugs or

18:45 Something that's unsavory you're eating something like that and it's going to come down a rock paper scissors outside the roadblock as to who goes in we actually I don't know if it was on purpose or I mean probably in edit it was but ear in the episode someone mentioned there's heaps of tarantulas in Cambodia there and I'm like oh is that like obviously CU I saw the preview but yeah they dropped that little hint in at the start the check offs tarantula and yeah they have to cook and eat tarantulas which is a them long enough you should have cooked them longer to make them really crispy you know out but yeah I would have till there were like balls of nothing you know what I did appreciate about this is Bo immediately tucked into just a giant tarantula like in introducing the thing like he has no quals whatsoever like I'm falling in love with Bo every week more and more every episode he's just cracking up mad jokes he's doing one liners he's eating tarantulas and I'm just like Bill lift your game fi look what Bo is doing here man come on so we see people we get as

20:05 Ellen pointed out now we get 35 minutes people gaging losing their minds over tarantulas who did it was it Harry or Teddy that actually did it Teddy it was Teddy har holding onto a wall or a railing he just he's not even doing it he's holding on to I'm like come on bro he loves his bro he can't see hiso oh they were they were calling out to Bro every five minutes bro it's a Cambodia trip man they were loving Cambodia but yeah Teddy was doing the like he where he's like I can't I my brain won't let me do it like you can see him he's putting it in the M like it's inside he just can't it initially but there was so much fours a lot of food there yeah Harry said he was hungry but Lu he didn't get to do it so it was Teddy how would you doing this are you good with eating tarantulas and cockroaches I would give it a try I would all of that especially local delicacy so I know someone's eating this stuff I would try all of it but a

21:26 A huge bowl a whole tarantula at a huge bowl that would be too overwhelming for me I think I'd have to sit it out but I'd try it but yeah they just give them so much Tom you good with tarantulas because I think at some point someone said describe them as juicy and soft sens it shouldn't be Juicy Juice yeah the juice would be rough I think I'd be medium at this challenge I wouldn't be good or bad I just wish I taught my PW ones Beck and Kate the tarantula eating technique and then maybe I wouldn't have fallen to the dark side in rebellion of their exit what's the tarantula eating technique oh I couldn't teach you on a YouTube L you really to show is it hard enough like seriously Michelle I think Michelle you've got the right tactic here is that again if anything has a soft Center as juicy it means they didn't cook that thing long enough where you can just crunch away tasteless no texture like I imagine if it's still soft scentered and juicy I reckon those hairs are probably still an issue at that point

22:46 Like have they fully fried away because I think you could deep fry anything really and get it to the point it's like okay well that's just charcoal like that's just nothing but yeah when they're still juicy and there's hit like oh it's hard it's a struggle so much so that Beck and Kate Beck has Arachnophobia which is a great movie from the 80s but also a condition that means that you're very afraid of spiders our amazing Racers top of our Tom let's go Tom justify back them up like give some no they don't deserve any backup I'm sorry they didn't even attempt it not I just it would have been somewhat justifiable if they were in Reverse roles like is it is it actually to hon I can't even tell the difference between Beck and Kate I don't know which one was which the whole time it's Beck's the one who was like really arachnophobic right yeah so like if Beck was the one who had to eat the spiders and like I could understand them not even attempting it but the fact that she just had to sit in the room yeah like someone mentioned before why couldn't she just close her eyes and like cover her ears like they were the spiders were all dead nothing was going to like attack her or anything but

24:07 All I'm saying is it's an outrage that there's a Spider challenge before there's a nightclub challenge I think this game is a little bit rigged if you ask me I'm just putting it out there you know there's a lot more nightclubs in the world than spiders probably God maybe Beck and Kate immediately no well I actually thought this was pretty smart of them like if you know you're not going to do it then don't there's an Aussie term that says you're not we're not here to do something to spiders which means don't mess about we're not here to you know muck around and they weren't there to do stuff to fornicate with spiders they were there to with then they made the decision quick penalty let's take it and go from there because I imagine if they there so many times we see in The Amazing Race they try sort of but that it's just 5 10 minutes of I can't I can't I and then you have to take the penalty anyway at least they kind of made the decision quick got it out of the way for what was the most non food thing I've ever seen I think that's what Harry said he said this is the most non- food thing I've ever seen food challenge and I think they would have been there for more than an hour with how things how they were feeling

25:27 They would have been there for more than an hour and then probably bottle it yeah that's what I mean like as long as you make the decision quick and you're and there's also like I mean is there any way to tell Michelle like why sometimes they give a half an hour penalty versus an hour penalty no it just seems random isn't it because the US One used to their penalties used to be a lot longer than just one hour and was so random that season where there were lots of penalties taken when it was like a half hour then it was an hour then it was like I think something was like even less than half an hour yeah short on yeah it's just weird I don't know how they figure it out I think they would how long it would take yeah the fast person and then add on whatever but I don't I watched what it actually was it this season of the US one where I think in episode one they came first but had to doal penalty for half an hour and every single team came through in or maybe it was last season or that was last season of The Amazing it was there was like a big Meathead jock and his like girlfriend

26:47 Landed first half penalty 20 teams or something 20 something teams and that half an hour like they ended up being eliminated on the first leg from like that's crazy so yeah like if they gave them an hour on that one that would have been completely out of the thing so maybe they just time it based on the actual challenge or I mean they probably got producers in the ear going next person's 45 minutes away give them an hour like you know who knows right like that they deserve to go out if you're going to take a penalty on the first episode just go just oh they do yeah I thought you were talking about Beck and Kate for a second oh no I'm disappointed so disappointed in them Ellen said it's the fact that Kate Beck and Kate knew tarantulas were a delicacy in Cambodia and they had to eat them they yeah that was that was what I said before one of them mentioned that there was tarantulas I think it was Beck and Kate going I think this country is full of tarantulas yeah Bo even had a bowl of Crickets at the pit stop that was cool yeah F to eat it was at this moment the celebity question what they said yes to the show I love that was the best quote here's a good question for everyone let's throw this one out

28:08 George and Pam who's doing the eating challenge in oh look if George would have had to he would have just wolfed them all down Pam would have had issues but I think she would have still done it I think P cuz George would have gone oh Pam you're good in the kitchen cuz you're better at everything than I am cuz I'm useless that would have been roughly what happened if I had to recreate that situation so yeah she would have done it but I reckon George actually would have potentially been better at that challenge for once yeah being out on you know on the island he's used to eating whatever I guess so yeah maybe but Beck and Kate not used to that type of food or non food and the penalty as far as the penalties go Ellen said the amazing rest is whatever the heck they want there's no reason so after eating and then you go yeah agreed Tomic there you go so wi back up after going eating tarantulas eating cockroaches eating a like full bowls of just bugs and three of the biggest tarantulas like we people talk about spiders and we don't get them we get like Huntsman stuff but like that is they're beastly

29:28 Like I feel like you could put a harness on them a saddle or something almost before you eat it and that of course brings us to the pit stop Darren and Tristan back on top after eating really gross stuff very quickly Alli and Angie land right after them like directly after them on the mat Beck and Kate arri in third but of course they have to serve their penalty from not eating the spiders and then because of that eventually Beck and Kate are last and eliminated from the race what is that what how does that leave Beck and Kate's Legacy in this race like do you think they should have gone further did they overachieve is this kind of middle of the pack sixth out of 11 kind of where they deserve to be Tom I'll save you for last because I know you've got some okay fine I'll just we say goodbye to Beck and Kate did they grow in you as the season went on oh God he's gone again I think they could have they could have come second I think oh or first or second they were contenders yeah outdone by the SP you know what like except for this except for eating tarantal and if you are genuinely arachnophobic

32:09 Races well I think I definitely agree with v I think they would have made it to the final three they're the only team that has faced their only cryptonight you know like I said before core hasn't faced nightclubs I don't know any of the other team's weaknesses so I can't comment on them but I mean I guess Harry fac School in the next episode but he didn't really have to learn anything too difficult so yeah I think they were destined for more and I predicted this week like I said last week there was going to be a non-elimination leg this for this these two episodes and of course the world had to curse me like it like it always does and give it to the next episode instead of instead of my Queens but just there's no point continuing second V says second Tom back are up like I don't last week I gave you right I said yeah okay fine put it at the top because I'm not I'm not one to like fight that but I don't see what you saw from the beginning I don't know why you think they're so good at this like I think they were okay they certainly weren't bad having said that I do also think if they hadn't taken

33:29 The time penalty maybe this is unpopular I think they would have been out on this challenge because that the best they could do was third and that was going straight there yeah had they actually try I do believe it would have taken them more than an hour judging by their attitude to it they would have been out regardless of time penalty or not so were last to arrive at the spiders anyway weren't they yeah so I think they gave themselves aead Mary chance with the time penalty I think that was going to be quicker than they could have done it I just I thought their attitude was great I thought they had a real spirit being fans but they had to have known that this was coming if their fans that this is why I don't go on I don't audition for these shows because I could not do it well they Dem yes Ellen they demolished the cow body parts quite well like so it's not the spider thing yeah they could handle it I was surprised how well they smashed out that other eating challenge it's just it was their cryptonite and you know I failed as a teacher in not teaching them how to do that

36:09 Sap which is a giant Lake that people live on like just unique weird circumstances we see in the world that we live in it's so amaz that I just said it's amazing but this race and this show is amazing because it does show that kind of thing to us westerners that are spoiled and have dry land and electricity and stuff so basically in this giant Lake teams have to purchase school supplies from a landbase book shop and then deliver them to the floating School via boat I like this I like this scene a lot like just the visuals of it looked crazy like Darren said that it's like the movie Waterworld which I appreciated a Kevin Cosner reference that was a horrible movie that I loved a lot I loved it too I love that movie I love that movie and you know in this place apparent Bo was saying that some people have never actually been on land before yeah like which is just crazy to think about I'm assuming he might have meant the kids or like a young baby or something I don't know hopefully people go to land at some point but yeah they need to basically get some school supplies go to a school and then learn

37:29 A version of Old McDonald had a farm in camir from the from the local children this is a Amazing Race staple learning stuff from kids and I always love seeing it because it just gives that sort of the you know in the cockles of your heart the warm feelings when it's these sort of challenges it's nice it's fun it's cute you know what I mean what do you think of this one Michelle I loved it because I would find it easy just I've grown up but like not growing up I've taught Old McDonald for years and years and years it's a staple and being able to understand what kids are saying I try and do that every day of my life because they come up and talk to me and I'm like they're talking too fast and so I can decipher really quickly I knew Emma would find it incredibly easy because it's really easy to pick up but here we are with Jana again having an absolute contion freaking out saying to course she's not superhuman no Yanni you don't have to be superhuman you just have to learn a song I'm sorry Jana it's not that hard V on oh again crumbling and it's it's not that

38:50 Hard it's what is hard is pushing through that stress and that's where but yes it was definitely an emmaemma challenge you know it was definitely for her and it was just yeah again it warn by heart especially the scenes with Emer and Haley and you can just tell that they're just made to be children's entertainers and you know it was just beautiful Ellen said Emma and Haley once again were like move aside [ __ ] we're gonna smash this challenge Emma was in a wiggle for nothing I like that they add like choreography and stuff that the kids aren't putting like they're doing the Motions but they're also like doing full danc how you remember things when synchronized but when you sing to kids that's how you remember things you remember things with your hands and your movements and yeah even when I read a story to kids I'm moving my whole expressions are moving my arms are moving so you know if you if you do that with kids a lot then yeah you add in all these Embellishments yeah she was she was so good I love watching her yeah and did only one of the boys sing only one of didn't they didn't yeah and one was har
