The Challenge 39: Fantasy Draft Youtuber Showdown

0:14 [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] welcome back to the NFI take Channel on YouTube where I've collected the bom Squad we're back together to break down the challenge 39 we're going to be doing our fantasy draft and picks that's right we've got reality realness in the house and also angel cake entertainment Chantel how you doing I'm doing pretty well I actually just got off of talking about The Challenge USA season 2 finale and but I'm already all in on season 39 I watched that moov in special and I was like I'm in I'm hooked the mve in special is probably like the best episode of The Challenge I'm in like a year and so I really thought it was fun entertainment

1:34 Entertaining and it really makes me feel like we're going to have kind of like an old school messy season and what's really interesting about it as well is that I really don't know who's going to win it like there's a lot of people that could win this season and it's kind of exciting so excited to draft I'm excited to hear your guys' thoughts and I'm excited to hear who won our last draft yeah I'm nervous as well very nervous going into this one I've had the least amount of time ever in my life to prepare for one of these drafts and then the like you said the field is so even across the board and some of these players they haven't made a name for themselves yet so we're talking slim margins between these players coming into the draft and that makes me very nervous angel cake welcome back to the draft probably the best prepared person here because I'm sure he's already done his deep analysis of the extended trailer he's been looking at all different angles and things like that so the person to beat angel cake how are you feeling coming into this draft well right now I'm feeling very exhausted this was like my busiest week in a long time this was my busiest day in a long time I talked to a lot of people I've been working since 6:15 this morning I'm running off of caffeine right now and I'm just excited to be talking about this season I felt

4:14 Is back as well Demetria so we're going to have a very live Elise I see your comment as well I do agree that USA 2 was a great season and that you know 39 is looking promising so far as well Lena is back as well Lena welcome Dolores day one here on the channel back as well so many familiar names really good to see everybody back we're going to try and bring comments up as much as we can but we've got a lot to get through in this live so there will be times where it's just going to be talking a bit about the different players but believe me there will be an opportunity for the live to get involved throughout on that note angel cake we do have some unfinished business we do need to talk about the USA to draft you know I had some shots fired at me recently that apparently I was spoiled on the season which I wasn't so I'm assuming I won it because I had a lot of players going into the final it just so happened to work out in my favor in USA too so did how did how did it break out because I've actually not stayed up to date with the points we spoke about that prior to going live on the draft we will have a plan so that both myself and Chantel can keep our audiences a little bit more up to date coming into this season because I know a lot of people at times felt like they couldn't stay up to date but Drew lay it on us where is the final point standing how did we end okay so I did not do well third place almost like a Deja Vu of what

5:34 Happened in USA season 1 if we remember what happened I only had one man and that was Danny I took a big hit on the last episode losing both Josh and Cassidy in that last episode so I was left with only Corey who did not win a single phase in the finals anyways but he never gave up angel cake he never gave up so I yeah and he got second place so but I lost getting only 537 points so I got third place in second place was Chantel getting 736 points I was gonna say both points you had fessel Tori and Michaela in the end I thought I was GNA get it with Michaela man I really was like yeah I mean you were looking good I mean falor and Michaela all had a shot an opportunity they all played a really strong game Michaela was your highest scorer with 179 points total with that's including bonuses but Chris had four people and he had shenel make the finals which was his last placed player yeah never doubted her your last pick

6:54 Only 60 points total that she scored on the whole season wow which is by far the lowest Corey was the second lowest by 80 with 88 points but you absolutely trashed the whole field Chris was the highest scorer of the whole draft 3177 total points he had the most confessionals heading into the finals he had the most daily wins or not he didn't have the most daily wins but he had the most Elimination wins for sure and then he had he got all the bonus points he Chris Desi won you had both Desi and Chris and then bananas also was no slouch getting you 182 total points so 925 total points was your total so congratulations Chris thanks that's so it's what twice in a row now that I've won the USA season it seems like the USA season is sort of where my sweet spot sits you go all in on Survivor and they've been they've been pulling through yeah well we'll have to see if that remains a train coming into this season there's a lot of Survivor players on this season as well from different countries as well so it's going to be interesting to see if that does come into play or not but thank you so much for everybody here in the chat I appreciate it doesn't happen often I think that's my third win overall Dre what five behind I don't remember

8:14 I think so yeah four or five four or five I believe so here's an important question though how do we attack this draft because I know that we made some rules up in the past like whoever won the main season gets to choose formats of things going into this season is that how we're going to continue to do it how do we want to play this I'm easy with whatever you guys decide I'm totally down with that since I won season 38 draft but I'm open I have some changes I would like to throw out there go for it first of all I have a change to the sabotage for this season all right the life doesn't want us to do the sabotage I've gotten a lot of comments in the live saying they don't want the sabotage well I feel like we could do a different kind of sabotage this espe new added TST to Theon where'll be Champs in the eliminations at some point my thought process is that we go 11 picks each and we each get to pick roughly three Champs at any point in the draft you could pick a champ at any point in the draft and if your champ wins against somebody in the elimination they take half of those players points wait sorry say that end part again I was still wondering like why does the chat I like love the sabotage like I think it's so

12:15 You have one of another one you can have one of whoever you want okay and then men are men are Brad who is a ghost you can have derell CT Jordan and Devin who is also a ghost what does ghost mean I have not seen them barely in any of the promos there's a conspirac there was a conspiracy theory floated out to me that maybe Brad was just a placeholder for somebody from this past season like if Chris were to come in they couldn't show him coming in to be a mercenary they show Michelle yeah but they could show Michelle because they yeah but all right well I'm ready for it so we can do that I can get the draft up there's a lot of pictures with adding the Champs in there as well and then we're going to go with Drew you won the last main one so you can decide what so I believe you decide the order but then whoever goes last decides if it's a man or woman first is that what we did last time it goes whoever came in last place goes first then whoever came in second goes second and then whoever won goes last but then I get to choose the order right okay so who was last I feel like it was me on that one

13:35 It was Chris just by a slight hair of like a 100 points right and then Chantel I'm assuming was second yes which would make you last place but you get to decide the order of the draft men or woman first is that correct yes all right I did not prepare for going first on this one but to be honest with you my strategy coming into the season is to not have a strategy I didn't come in ranking many players at all I feel like again like I said I looked at a lot of these players obviously I know some of them there's a few that stand out a little bit more than others but yeah you've got to go and decide who is going to be the will I go women first or will I go men first angel cake I believe there's a lot of really good like there's more women that I feel like that there's a little bit more wiggle room the men I feel like they're a little bit more topheavy in my opinion so I'm going to say we go women first meaning you'll get the pick first dudes yeah and then I'll get first men man men right okay this is going to be tough but I did say to myself I'm going to stay true to true to who I am true to what I do in these drafts and I would never want to

14:55 Change that I'm going to be Survivor strong in this I'm going to go for burner off the rip on my draft picks and she's going to be my first pick so I know that the first season she didn't go as deep as we you know would have liked to have seen but I saw a lot of fighting Spirit within her whenever she went into the arena on that season that she was playing I believe it was spies lies and allies and you know she had a few girls that just didn't click with her early on in that season those girls are not here this time playing Survivor has been very successful on the challenge and I think it's because of the strategy the social game all those kind of things and I do think she's got physical capabilities so I'm gonna go and choose bernna right off the rip here Shantel what do you think of this pick I mean I really lik Verda last season I know a lot of people were anti- Burna and she's getting in fights with people but I think that she has the chops to potentially win I like that she's a circus performer so she's going to have interesting ways of using her body that a lot of people don't won't have and so she might be really good at things that will be surprised by so I do think physically she's going to be a very strong competitor I'm worried about her only for the fact that she gets in a fight it looks like with Melissa in the trailer so I'm wondering what's going to happen there and then also I feel like she gets injured in a in a daily or something like that or

16:15 There's some part of her that like she gets hurt and so I'm worried that she might be medically dced or isn't able to perform well just from stuff that I've seen in the trailer but as a pick like right off the bat like she's super solid and super WR and so I definitely have faith in her in her own physical capabilities but I'm worried about what I've seen of her in the trailer right lovable Nicki is not impressed willly says b as a warrior there's a few people that are saying that you know maybe it's a mistake and then a few that weren't the biggest fan of B but she's a good competitor I'm choosing her for that I'm choosing her because I think she's going to fight I think she's going to be a competive the season if she is getting in fights that's good I didn't see the bit where she got injured I remember watching the trailer very briefly and now that you mention it I remember her being flat on her back so I'm hoping because they're showing it doesn't actually happen yeah exactly I'm hoping they wouldn't spoil it but angel cake knows best they do spoil things sometimes on these super trailers what's your thoughts on Burner as a as a first pick I like Burna I don't know if I would have picked her the first pick but I do like her I think she can pull out a win here and there she is getting into some arguments so hey is if they show the arguments you'll get some points unless they pull a Challenge USA 2 and decide to like not show

17:36 The fights which is ridiculous but hey they showed spin the bottle for quite a while so I have hope that MTV will do the right thing but I like Burna I do I like her a lot she at least got into some arguments she showed that she has abilities to want to make out with players and she is looking really strong and yeah I'm All About Burna so I mean what are we getting points on again so we're getting points on fights confessionals yes so we're doing so we're getting daily wins is plus five elimination wins plus three makeouts is plus two drama is plus two drama is also crying so if somebody's crying where everybody can see them that will be plus two dqs or purges will be minus two and confessionals are plus one point each confessional that they're shown on the TV screen and oh I changed up the bonus points but we can go over that a little bit later but the bonus points has changed that if you get the most confessionals if you get the mo If your player makes it to the final and they saw Zero eliminations you'll get plus 25 points if your last place if your last pick makes it to the finals you'll get plus 25 points

18:56 So there's some I there I think there's some good stuff to go around and more Stu strategically maybe leave someone to the end that you might think will be doing okay but I guess someone else might sweep them up but anyway it's okay good I just wanted to say I don't need Friendly Fire kuna get out of here I don't need that from you right now okay I need some moral support here in this draft I'm doing it for the nullify take okay all right so let's go on to the second pick overall Chantel who is going to be your first female pick so I'm betting on this person winning the battle between friends they were both stars of season 38 newcomers to the MTV show and I'm thinking that narice is who I'm going to bet on between her and Olivia I think Olivia might be physically maybe a little bit stronger nerice seems a little bit slighter and a little bit thinner and so like I don't know if she could like maybe win a hall brawl or something super physical but it looks like she has the endurance and she looks like she has the brains and looks like in that move in special that she is the one that's dictating the strategy and it looks like her and Olivia are not going to be seeing eye to eye on who to be working with but I feel like narice might

20:16 Be better set up and it looks as though you know aaso is going to be choosing narice over Alivia and so I am going to bet on narice doing better than Olivia here and so I want to take narice as my first pick right I had very me like mid expectations of nce coming into this season like no like I didn't feel like in the previous season she did much to impress me but I know she's loved online by The Challenge fandom everybody loves narice she brought some drama she was in she won Nelson who hadn't won any for like years and she was able to win him too so she's got smart she's got smarts it's just can she get through the physical stuff and if she does get thrown into an elimination like she's one elimination and one loss so but it's early days you know there are people that have done worse that have come back and done like look at Michaela went out very early in of first season came back and Beast it USA yeah exactly so what do I know but yeah it's a brave pick I want to see Chad give you some crap for that as well please where's the chat here okay now everybody's liking narice they're not going to give you grief she's going to get fights she's going to get make out points she's just going to give you a lots of confessionals I feel who she hooking up with Chantel who's she hooking up with well

21:36 Definitely aaso at some point but like it looks like she might make out with a woman here or there as well and so who knows I don't know if she does but like it seems like a lot of the women were doing some girl on girl smooching so I just think that she is a well-rounded entertaining person and I think that she's going to be part of the leader of One at least one of the factions of strategy and alliances in the game so do you think narice and Bernard's going to sort of become friends due to their hatred for Amber like together maybe that's something that bonds them into an alliance Amber I don't remember oh right I don't think so who's so wait who's Burna Berna is friends is going to be friends with Colleen so maybe she's gon to be brought into 38 just from the 38 people might stick together what I'm not sure I haven't seen them like interact at all so I'm not sure if they're going to bond over not liking Amber right well people are loving your pick overall they're definitely not giving you as much grief as they as they gave me angel cake what's your thoughts on nus coming into this one I in my original draft or my draft my official or original draft order and when I asked the bakery for help narice came out to being the number one on the women side and I think that she did show a lot of Promise in

22:57 38 she shows that she's going to be feisty she can start fights it looks like she's definitely going to start some fights or at least be in some it looks like you could get obvious make out points with her and aaso with her saying that it feels like they it's her first crush all over again I don't think it's a bad pick I mean she was up in the top three I was a little wavering especially after the special just because this is the first time we're seeing them in the game together the game hasn't really officially started yet and it just felt like she was so intense when Olivia just talked about maybe bringing somebody else in or like getting to work with them and she just felt like don't do this down yeah and just shutting it down to where it's like I could see her rubbing a lot of people the wrong way I think she's very capable especially winning d but that kind of s a little bit of a red alarm to me a little bit but I still think she's in the top three right so Drew you've got the mic go into your first overall pick here for the women okay like I mentioned

26:57 Each other in like a group project and then that never works out you're doing the most work in the project and then everybody else skates by so to me I'm gonna go with Melissa she's shown she can fight and hoping she does in this season so I'm going to go with Melissa yeah I like I like that pick I very was for me it was between Berna and Melissa for my first pick I very nearly picked her as well I've always been a fan of Melissa because she's got that fighting Spirit we all know picking people that are not going to go down quietly and that are Scrappy and she definitely has that heart for it you know and again when it comes to confessionals I agree with you she can carry the show I think like outside of maybe Michelle who's going to potentially be good in confessionals as well I just don't know you know if I had to look between the two of them because I saw some people say Michelle should have been picked first I've lost a lot of faith in Michelle's ability to deliver not be picking Michelle first to deliver Michelle might be one of those like Last picks that like oh she gets to the finals we get 25 bonus points yeah that's I made I made the comparison with Michelle and Josh and I said they're kind of like almost the same at the moment in their in their challenge Journey you know they're good at the strategy they're good at the social game but it takes that little bit of extra to get there but yeah I like Melissa overall I think it's a good pick Shantel what's your thoughts here on Melissa I

28:17 Mean Melissa is great and like the fact that she said that she's to miss to Big tea that she's like I'm I usually come in just to have a good time and party but here I'm coming in with a mission and I feel like you know her daughter's named Vienna because that's where she was when she found out she was pregnant in the final during the final and I think that's pretty badass so she's she really is like has a child of the challenge here and I just feel like she could do really well she's in my top picks for sure and I can see her winning I can see that being her story for the season she's definitely Scrappy she's definitely we know that she does I believe it's muai as well like she I she can handle her own even though she's petite but she's strong and she can do some physical com like combat stuff so yeah I think it's a great pick I would have loved to her to fall down a couple times so I can get her on the next round but cards weren't in my favor there I was hoping I was hoping she'd slip by well all pressure is on you in the bakery now where are you going with your first male pick off the draft you specifically wanted wom first so you could get this to set it up for the season where your gun so to set this up when I did this rankings with everybody and going over this

29:38 This was a two and a half hour live that we did it and it was mostly me and the bakery a few of us yelling at each other see them yelling right now because we were going back and forth on who the first pick should be honestly in my opinion it got crazy to the point where three people are up at the top three men are up at the top and then everybody else starts at 6 and there's like that four through five is just like completely vacant that is just like Open Season I don't know what's going on can I ask a question before you pick in terms of the Champs are there like confessionals and stuff like that being included in okay yeah anything they do that can be added into the thing I mean if they're talk and smacking to the crowd I'll give them drama points and everything like I'm totally down I'm totally down okay I'm not saying that we're The Crazy Ones I'm just saying we had a family crazy A crazy family dinner it was like Thanksgiving that one time look I'm vamping because I feel like there's an obvious first pick but then people were like questioning

33:39 Then the whole confessional is a huge question mark I think aaso can make it to the finals but he was also one of the lowest scoring if you took away all the eliminations he was one of the lowest scoring players without confessionals or even daily wins so I don't know we didn't do the points for season 37 but I just know Emanuel went long far he got to the end in his own Survivor season he has endurance and then he got pretty good confessionals like pointing at confessionals in the launch special I'm sorry I'm going on about this but I'm like convincing myself hey man okay listen I took him first male pick on my other draft and people came for me so I support this choice because I think that he is very capable of winning the season I think that he's very capable getting you points because he likes good-look women and like every single woman on this cast is a 10 and I just like you know his person's not gonna be there so I think he's gonna get your points I think when you see him in the launch special like doing all the weightlifting and tucking those heavy things like I think he's in shape I think he knows what he needs to do to get the win and I could put my money on him so I think it's a good choice Jude don't worry don't have to sweat it's good yeah I mean listen I'll leave it then I
