THE CHALLENGE ALL STARS 3: EPISODE 7 RECAP

0:12 [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] welcome back to the nullified take channel and also streaming live on reality realness with three esses how is everybody doing today it is friday evening and we're back to talk about the challenge all-stars episode seven with both chantelle and drew i'm your host chris chantal we spoke about it just before we went live it feels like a lifetime since the last time we were able to talk about the challenge and so much has happened over the last week it does seem like a lifetime has gone by a lot like obviously we know that the trailer dropped for cbs is the challenge or challenge usa i believe it's called so that was really fun i watched that live with michelle

1:33 When i did my recap of this episode on my channel directly and it was i really was excited by it and you know you know that i wasn't that excited about this season in general i didn't like that they were calling it the challenge but i did get goosebumps while i was watching it they got me hyped and so i'm thinking that we're gonna have a really good season i know that we've seen that tyson wasn't that excited about the challenges itself but i think that like they look like they were fine like it could have just been that he didn't like maybe how they were explained to do them or he wasn't good at a lot of them and he kind of maybe knows a little bit more what to expect with the survivor challenge that like okay well if i'm not good at the throwing the ball i'll be good at the puzzle or whatnot and so i think that he was just out of his element because these competitions looked pretty good some of them even better than the main season that we've seen so far so it looks like they have a big budget it looks like everybody looks really good the trailer looks money and i really want to see how this whole season shakes out i'm so happy we did our drafts in advance too because people have been like talking i released my version of the draft picks and people are talking about it so much like fighting about who has the better teams like it's been great it's been great so yeah it's a great week so far so who's winning who's winning it on your community at the

2:53 Moment i think on yeah and you're probably just killing it on your community i'm winning it but then drew kind of is coming in next year you're not i should look at the numbers for sure but i just remember i just read even tonight something views and be like chris i don't think chris should have chosen a lot of the people that he chose listen wow yeah we'll get into that we'll get into the draft a little bit later on here for the challenge all-stars because it has gone downhill for me very quickly and that's just become a norm i think i maybe need to go into some of these drafts and take it a little bit more seriously now obviously the challenge 38 draft we've already pre-recorded that way in advance as well so you guys will see that at the end because again we want to just be so far ahead of any spoiler territory no one can say these guys knew what was going to happen and i do think that i changed my strategy on 38 quite a lot and i didn't use my heart i'd definitely use my head on that one on a few pics so i've got my fingers crossed if it goes downhill like it is like it's been doing this season for me on the us then at least maybe 38 could be like my redemption season everybody loves a good underdog apparently according to naya so maybe i could be that underdog going into 38.

4:01 Drew it's been a hot minute since we spoke as well how has things been on your end obviously you've been pumping out a lot of challenge content over the last week as well yeah it's been it's been a lot of fun a lot of work just trying to get to try to take some time to relax in between doing so much but i know that once july hits and once all stars three is done and we get to starting on the challenge usa i'm gonna take a little step back work on some more like investigative stuff and really limit how much content i put out there instead of doing like six to seven videos a week which is just a lot i watch my favorite channels and i'm like oh that's not that i can do it every single day i'm not doing much of what but they have a whole bunch of editing teams a whole bunch of people to work on that stuff well i'm just one person so it is a lot of work for one person i will say that i am glad that we did the challenge usa draft before the trailer came out because i would have drafted david way higher than i probably did so i would be like you'd be like we're wondering if she has some spoiler information here yeah that they spoil it as badly and this one because i haven't had the time to look at your trailer yet but i don't know if i want to if it's too spoilery they are actually as this as i would say it's all stars in my opinion but i could be wrong

5:21 You yeah all stars three was very spoilerific with a lot of the way they set things up i thought that they were actually tactful with the way that they handled the challenge usa trailer there was a lot of close-ups so you can't tell exactly who was there and they do a lot of like blurring out the background so there's a point where there is somebody going into a hall brawl you only see their legs and when you try to look in the background the whole black background is blurred so you can't tell anybody and some of the eliminations are so zoomed out you can't really make out who the people's faces are so you're kind of just guessing at some of the people who could be in these eliminations so i actually found it very tactful and the way that they did the names on the helmets are very tiny very tiny so if you tried to like really zoom in maybe you could see the names but i zoomed everybody's name in and i couldn't get exactly everybody who was doing every daily challenge or elimination that they showed so very tactful so it's not almost like it's almost like they had someone looking at your channel with the previous trailer and they're like well we gave way too many people away and where they're going to be placing less in the life and welcome everybody to the live for saying did you hear that the international challenges will have their own hosts not tj i did hear that thanks to someone who commented on our last video it

6:41 Might have been the draft for the usa actually tj apparently will not be hosting australia the uk or argentina any longer there were talks about him potentially doing that i'm actually very grateful about that because i do think that if you're serious about growing the challenge in other regions you should make those different regions feel like it's their show so give them a local host from australia local host from the uk and argentina there's a better chance for the long-term success of this thing succeeding now know that the production team that does the main show is very involved in what is going to be happening with australia i know that at least from some information that i have behind the scenes but i think down the line they'll probably try and take a bigger step backwards from that and probably have like local people even running it because it will get really intense during five or six seasons a year i just don't know how they would be able to do that also just wanted to welcome everybody here in the live we've got a big announcement say thank you to a lovable nikki within the chat who's agreed to be an admin for us on the live chat just so that we can remove people that do put spoilery things in our chat i think last week we had like one or two comments that we're getting pretty close to that and just in case we don't catch it the three of us because we're so busy talking and we're picking up different comments she's going to be helping us out and as we continue to grow all of our channels i'm sure there will be more opportunities

8:01 For people to step up especially if you're someone that we know have been with us since day one most likely one of us will be asking you the favor of doing that but that's the main reason for that lovable nikki thank you so much for doing that for us here on the channel let's get into the episode guys we're eight minutes in and we haven't spoken about episode seven as of yet we get everybody going back to the house janae has lost her man in the game and she is now on her own mark stepping in to give her shoulder to rest on and we hear from her that she is now going to be on the outs for the rest of the season she doesn't really have close bonds drew as someone who always has an eye on janae you know like myself you know i think both of us are probably reasonably big fans of her and what she's achieved on all stars so far how do you feel about janae at this point and are you surprised that she's in this position that she is in currently i kind of feel like her and mj being close was an anchor to her this season it probably prevented her from socializing outside of mj and herself because it kind of seems like she isolated herself this season and that's not the social butterfly that we know that normally plays this game i actually have questions about the editing for this season and i got a lot of question marks we yeah i got a lot of question marks but i'll answer the john a question i think john a is more established she

9:21 Might not have a lot of the closer bonds like veronica and kayla and possibly kellyanne and naya but she is free-forming throughout conversations we see she was kind of close with sylvia and kayla because they were winning into the authority and then when nya and kellyanne came back from the puzzle challenge they were kind of just throwing out that oh sylvia said this i might call her out kind of thing and they were doing it in front of john a so to me it's like i think john a is a little bit more free-form she might not have the strongest bonds but she's like a jack-of-all-trades maybe not a master of one but she does have like i'm just making up words guys this is how i do things we'll just agree with you well we've seen her get close with wes she had conversations she was playing beer pong with wes this past week's episode i mean i think she is connected within the house but maybe she's not being able to hide through social connections anymore because she's won last season she's on everybody's radar and maybe she doesn't have as close of ties as say other people within the house i noticed this as well chantal chris kind of mentions here that if janae was not cheating on her man which we don't know she is or not and i think we were defending her a couple of episodes ago here the edit sure made it looks like she had some types of feelings towards mj

10:42 After he left and yeah like i mean what's the ether doing if there is no truth there you know is this a little bit dangerous to create the storyline you know there or is there is that are they actually showing us what is going on and i think is the question yet well even you know we see a mark at the very beginning being like hey come here johnny i'll be your new mj come and cuddle with me you know what i mean so there was some sort of closeness that they had that was very apparent to everybody that was in the house and it was i feel it was impaired to us in the audience so i obviously don't know what actually went on but they had a deeper connection than seemingly like i have with like my guy friends seemingly but everybody chooses to live their life a little bit differently but in terms of johnny and her gameplay i think that he was an anchor to her game this season i think he was obviously very important for her last season but this season it seems like she didn't get to be in the room with the tree house probably because she was rooming with mj and kind of like how he was gonna feel more comfortable and have and being able to i don't know hang out with the guys or whatnot and have those connections so if he wasn't there i'm sure that she would have been in the tree house rather than maybe ronnie or something like that and so i do think now it might be too late i'm not sure but

12:02 I do think that she'll be able to at least do her social butterfly navigation skills a little bit more freely without having mj who was also not getting along with some people and as a target then she could just be taken out just indirectly as they're trying to get after mj so i think she'll be able to do a little bit better now yeah we also hear here early from derek that you know he feels like he's got a massive target on his back he's got four stars now after winning the elimination and obviously that is going to play out throughout the episode because he's going to have to really step up his game in the daily but more so interesting here in the early stages kellyanne and ronnie has a conversation two people who we haven't really seen interact at all throughout the season up until this point in fact ronnie hasn't really done much from a strategical standpoint i would almost say and kellyanne to a certain degree has been an outcast this whole season as well but kellyanne does have a sabotage that she can play and she's trying to make the best decision for herself here like where does she place the sabotage who can she work with who's willing to be adaptable but ronnie is very cagey she is scared of putting off the other two women that are in the tree house so she doesn't really give killian much at this point here so when it comes down to the actual sabotage having to be used on someone you know i don't think ronnie kind of saved herself here but she does somehow

13:23 Prevent that sabotage from coming her way do you guys have any thoughts in regards to why killian went the way that she did with the sabotage ultimately putting it on veronica here rather than someone like a ronnie well i think that she knows that veronica is likely to win the you know trivia and i think that she's just trying to do her best to maybe damn it like put a little bit of a dent in the tree house in any way that she could to maybe prevent veronica from winning and she kind of made a little bit of a deal sort of with ronnie so i think that she was just trying to like not bird every single bridge but burn veronica because veronica was going to come for her for sure i think caleb was going to come for her for sure but she wasn't necessarily going to be winning that particular the trivia and so i think that she was just hoping that ronnie would be someone that she can maybe call down if she is thrown in i think that she just didn't want to i just didn't you want to rock the boat with ronnie she was more fine with rocking the boat with veronica because she knew that veronica was already going to be more likely to win it and they had a lot of numbers so if that made sense i think it did but you could tell me if it didn't no it makes sense i think there's another thing at play here because i think with ronnie she i think kellyanne is trying to put out that olive branch

14:43 There is that possibility that hey ronnie you're on the bottom of the tree house come over here and you can be my number one or you could be higher up with me and nya or and then on the opposite end yes veronica's always going to be coming after kellyanne also i think if kellyanne's feeling like i'm not going to win this i could be going into elimination i'm going to throw the strike on veronica maybe john a gets her question right throws the strike on veronica maybe naya gets a question right or i get a question right throw it on veronica and now veronica's vulnerable to get thrown into elimination or i can call her out so i think that's also at play where it's like okay i want to set up myself to have the matchup that i might want in case i go into elimination which she has ronnie kayla and veronica all gunning after her so i think that's also at play as well yeah let's go back and have a read through some of the comments here before we get into the daily proper chris saying that chris thrives in chaos and i think we're talking about the draft that i did for the usa shizzy says i honestly think that chris has the best team so at least one chris supporter in here for the team that i selected and also i think it was dolores here that asked when will australia challenge the challenge australia at this stage we don't know when it will officially air i can tell you

16:03 Unofficially that they are casting they have reached out to people i know that much so maybe after i've got a feeling it's going to be after whatever they're filming currently with 38 but then again if that's not the same host it could be any time it could even be during the season and both of them will be in argentina so it could be pretty soon thomas here says that i think janae is isolated via the edit and i think that's kind of what we're sort of agreeing with at this stage as well and i did see someone here saying and i kind of lost the comment here but it was an interesting one i was lovable nikki saying targeting derek makes no sense mj called out derek was he supposed to lose chile and i think that was when in the beginning janae was sort of taking stabs they were saying oh you know where's this crown now and she said i still have his crown and i will be throwing you in next so i think it's a little bit off just playful lovable banter and jabs going in between the different housemates at this point it's kind of how i saw that unless you guys think she was a bit more serious because he couldn't at the beginning of the episode when yeah i'm coming for you i think a little bit about like i think that she's probably a little bit irritated that derek did go down and take out mj but i don't think that it was like going to be a big beef that they're going to have now i don't think i also think that there's a way in which derek won

17:24 In which let's go back to the celebration that happened and he was grabbing at mj and yelling at mj kind of thing i think that probably could have rubbed john aide the wrong way and then him coming in saying like where's his crown it's a joke but johnny is still in that like we could just being that way next episode after jordan gets like eliminated they're going to be it's going to be too soon to joke about that kind of thing when you had somebody with that strong of a bond so i think that could have played a factor in it as well just the jokes and the celebration could have rubbed her the wrong way as well yeah well while we're talking about derrick he reckons that no one enjoys trivia and i was thinking to myself that's not true we have the fans we love seeing trivia we love seeing people go out there make fools of themselves having tj just heckle them the whole time while they're up there and pretending like everything is the easiest thing ever to know the answers to how did you guys feel like about trivia being back as a daily this season obviously i feel like it's a fan favorite i always enjoy seeing people get things wrong but i will be honest there were a few questions there where i would have been lost as well so which one which questions i can't i can't remember the specific ones but you know how do you know your primary colors please yeah i do know the primary there's like some stuff that i do know but still you know

18:45 The thing always comes to mind whenever the trivia thing happens for me is when i think it was the johnny bananas question about australia and it was something like what's the primary language spoken in australia and he had like yeah like something dutch or something like that instead of like english it's just like these guys are definitely not the sharpest tools in the shed you know well it's just like university was the challenge like that's all they learned you know like i don't know some of them went to school i'm sure but like for the most part they've been doing this since they were in their teens late teens yeah early yeah so well it was a lot of fun i guess the only other real strategic move that gets made before they go on and actually do the trivia itself is brad using the sabotage on himself instead of showing where his cards are at first i don't like it you know i'm like why use it on yourself that's kind of like defeating the purpose of the sabotage but when i thought about it he was kind of in a position where i think he was going to be safe regardless yeah and he was safe regardless like when they started talking about potential names of who could go down there brad's name never got mentioned by any of the sides of the house so why show your cards at this stage so in hindsight i feel like brad made the right decision here drew yeah brad's a nucleus i mean he is in good with mark and derek and then he's also really in tight with nehemiah and wes i mean at this point

20:05 Why even rock the boat if you don't think you're gonna win just throw it on myself i don't even need to get into power to stay safe basically is what he's thinking which is exactly right and i mean he crashed and burned in a very funny way this episode so i mean i was happy with it by one thing though about trivia i always enjoy trivia in general i like trivia i like the game trivial pursuit i like going to bars and doing trivia night like i've always enjoyed general knowledge and trivia so this challenge was always super fun for me it's because i also enjoy things that you can play along with so even on big brother when you know you could you could play along with the house guests and you could play the challenge like i've always been a games person i like doing that so trivia is always my favorite i love how excited tj gets about it and how they know that with his shit-eating grin that like it's gotta be trivia because look at the way he's smiling we know it's trivia i like that element that it's pretty epic for them too as castmates to know that like trivia has something that's probably gonna be coming the one thing though i guess i missed is people being a little bit scared like nobody was a little bit scared like i don't want people to quit so like if darrell or beth or katie we're gonna quit this trivia like i don't care about that but i do find it funny when you see cara maria like doing it answering your questions but she's terrified

21:25 That's a little bit interesting to me so i wish that some people were a little bit more scared that would have made it a little bit more fun but i enjoyed trivia my one question is i didn't really understand the logic as to why wes wanted to get the first question wrong i wasn't sure if i followed his logic yeah i think for me like again i'm just going to bring up a comment because it's kind of going to go hand in hand here taj is saying that i hate when you can give strikes in the trivia daily the person answers the most questions correctly should win period and i think what happened here was that wes was thinking to himself if i get one of these ones right early on and i show my cards and i put something on someone it's gonna yeah it's gonna bounce back to me and maybe they'll think i'm not as smart i did think his second question was such a layup for him because it was like who was the who was the youngest millionaire on the forbes list before 30 or something like that and i was like if there's one person on this cast who's going to know it's going to be wes because he's a businessman he's real into that stuff so i felt like tj gave him a softball on the second one you know where some people may be getting questions that they would have no right answering but i kind of get where wes was going with his logic there just to lower his threat level okay yes well also the way the where it was going if he says jordan and gives it a jordan a qu a strike and then jordan is

22:45 A few people down from him so jordan is gonna the way it's questioned jordan's gonna get two strikes on to wherever wes is if he gets those questions right so i think he didn't want to give jordan those strikes knowing that it could possibly come bouncing back right towards him i think is also i just didn't i didn't get it i just really wanted him just get it i mean it's a it was the easiest question ever if you would have just answered it correctly and at the end of the day it would have made a difference of what would have happened that was the difference between third and second place possibly for him or even possibly winning if he would have just answered that question correctly yeah chris he says that wes just said it after he got it wrong and confessional to make himself look smarter than what he is yeah it's possible but i mean he did the wink thing right so i mean he must have maybe he thought about it on the spot i got it wrong let's wink and i'll tell people afterwards why i winked in the first place but it was a pretty easy question i think it was like which month of the year has three days yeah and he said january so he clearly threw it because no way he thought january had 30 days another thing to me when it comes to people that absolutely just you know bombed this specific daily mark had an option at the end to either put a strike on wes or derek he puts his first one on wes he gets the second question

24:05 Right he has the opportunity to spread the love a little bit here so i if he did spread the love at that point he wins this daily but he ends up going back to west puts another strike on west which ultimately means by the time he gets his second or third question wrong he ends up losing so i know he's working closely with derek but can you play koi at this point of the game when you know mark ended up in the elimination he was always going to be the person that if derek won that people were going to try and target because they know how close derek and mark is i know it's easy to sit here on the side and say hey this is the perfect strategy but in the moment i kind of felt like even when he did it i was like oh you need to spread this out a little bit here because derek sorry wes was on the ropes already and derek was his only other competition does that make sense or did i just ramble right now so yeah so i feel like he needed to spread it basically instead of just like you know it was wes derek and mark yeah it made sense what you were saying i think he was worried about it possibly going back to wes and him getting two questions and then throwing them both those strikes to mark because i think in a trivia challenge he's more worried about wes's brain than derek's brain who may not have the most computing

25:26 Power going on these days and it wasn't really having high ram back in the back in the day either yeah and hector says that mark clearly wants west out he doesn't want him in the finals lovable nicky says the mark would never target derek and we saw that here in this one i also want to bring up what thomas said here a little bit earlier he said the too many daily challenges this season is helping teams sort of team up that's been a common issue i feel like for not just the challenge all stars three but for a lot of the recent challenge seasons that are out there and this specific one was no different like someone in the outside of the house like a jordan who ultimately ends up you know having to go in there this specific episode or on the other side if you're not in the tree house you have a massive disadvantage playing in these daily challenges where you can put strikes on other people which is the main reason i agree i feel like it should be who gets the most right and then you go into like a sudden death almost rather because putting these strikes on people is only entertaining when it's a completely new cast and people don't know where the allegiances are sitting you know so that will give them an idea oh i'm completely wrong but everybody at this stage knows who the treehouse is everybody knows that brad and mark and derek are working together you know they know where those allegiances are sitting should they workshop this they probably

26:46 Won't but should they workshop this in the future for it to be a little bit more fair or do you guys like the drama of it and the predictability of an alliance steamrolling like the way you set that up obviously we're not going to like the letter objection leading hey that's the sales person and me i just wanted my outcome not the other outcome because i'm like let's take that off the board no i mean i don't know if they'll be able to change anything but it's been a complaint that we always have like i don't like when the big alliances get it but it's better strategy for them like obviously you're gonna work together and do what you can to advance your group further along in the game so i get it as a player it is better for them to be able to do this i just wish as a viewer that they would be able to be like no you like no strikes they shouldn't be they shouldn't do the strikes especially when they know that there's these big alliances in the game because it really is boring i think it ruined two challenges for the most part like it ruined this trivia which could be interesting because i do want to see who does well in trivia not who does who people want out more like that's not that interesting and same with that other challenge where like usually it's very interesting to see like where alliances may fall but when there's only two people

28:06 Not in the alliance like it's like okay well which one of those two are going to be out first like that's like that's where the drama is and it's not entertaining at all so i do think they need to workshop it i'm not a fan of it even though you led me in that direction i can't get one over you guys you guys are seasoned veterans and doing these recaps you see right through my leading or propaganda and what i want the outcome to be but i guess you know looking at it like you mentioned there we did have an opportunity here drew to see a little bit of where the allegiance is set within the treehouse because veronica had a chance here to choose between kayla and both ronnie on who she wanted to send out or was it called running at the end i feel like it was and then she chose kayla over ronnie so it kind of shows a little bit of where the allegiances are within that group but i was surprised that ronnie was so taken aback by that like ronnie come on you need to know this you're even admitting that you have not done any strategizing you've not played the game actively why are you surprised about this i was like oh boy so really it seemed what had happened is that she got involved in this alliance and she's from the old school vibes where it's like you just stick with your team and you work with your team all the way to the end and you win with your team like i think that must be what her mentality was because the fact that kayla has been winning all these dailies and keeping all your

29:26 Team safe means that she is just going to be a little bit more like tasty for veronica to want to pay back or make nice like even if there wasn't any sort of strategy talk that happened between them ever you would definitely want to treat better the person that has been taking care of you this whole season so the fact that ronnie hasn't won anything should have been immediately indicative as to why veronica didn't want to keep her instead of kayla but also why you must not have been having any sort of talks or noticing any of the dynamics in the house or anything that's been going on in the game to be shocked and surprised that veronica didn't save you she saved kayla i did i was watching and i was like oh i would never have thought that she would have saved you like not even a glimpse yeah i'm this is where i have this is where i have my questions with the editing on the season because we hear from earlier in the episode kellyanne and ronnie talking about ronnie not wanting to blow up her spot with the treehouse alliance and then we move to the daily challenge where she gets rocketed off in third place and then she's like well i gotta look out for myself i can't look out for the rest of this treehouse alliance and then we get back to the house and then she's like i know i haven't talked game with you and it's like

30:47 So is she in the alliance or not is she just an acquaintance that is just rooming with everybody and she kind of got sucked into it and she's not technically in it just seemed weird how this all like kind of played out on the screen with us where she's yelling treehouse at the daily challenge with the ring toss and then come to this episode and she's just like shrinking going like i don't i don't i know i haven't done anything we haven't really talked i'm not really close with any of you guys and it's like so what are we doing here like i don't understand i just don't understand what the what the trajectory or where everybody is mapped out in the house from where we started in episode two or three wherever we learned about the treehouse to this point where now ronnie's even questioning where r where veronica's head is at and who she's going to be sending into the elimination whether it's ronnie or somebody who's not technically in the treehouse alliance i had the same questions with wes and jordan's people are saying that they were in some sort of like possibly an alliance with each other that was low down they were helping each other out in the one daily challenge we only got one conversation the whole time these two guys who last time we saw them in the challenge together were explosive with each other throwing orange juice at each other putting sausage in each other's faces and then come to this season total madness

32:07 Madness and we got like nothing from them like we got hardly any conversation with them which i think is like totally crap and the same thing with the isolation edit that we're getting from john a we know from even last season there was this developmental stuff with her talking to melinda talking to mj talking to derek darrell all these players and then this season we only see her talking to mj i don't know i don't know what i'm just confused at a lot of the editing portions and then the whole thing with wes and kellyanne i'm sorry i'm going all different ways but lesson kellyanne last episode in the daily challenge it's like we see these players coming to do these all-stars with players that they've never really been on a challenge before in years or in seasons and then we get like no shots of them having any conversations i don't even think we got really a yes and veronica really connecting and getting that full like reunion feeling of them since back in the day of their challenge of season five that they were on last and they got kicked out super early it's just like or season six and they got kicked out really early it's just to me i found the last two seasons specifically last season was much better in the editing version of drawing out these characters drawing out these connections with everybody and showing

33:27 The dynamics of the house i don't know this season seems so much more strategic so much more on the competitions i don't hate it but it's making me wish that this was an hour and a half long like the main season so we can get everything that we wanted coming into this season we wanted to see where wes and jordan's connections were after total madness and it's been a couple of years we wanted to see wes and kellyanne who haven't been on a challenge season since rivals three with each other and kind of see where they kind of lie in their game nyan jordan we haven't gotten to see a whole lot of john a without mj nothing much so i don't know i think they kind of dropped the ball in a lot of this editing just to make us get a full understanding of what's going on in the house because after this episode i was questioning a lot going what is happening here like i see a b and c and i don't feel like i got any of that i feel like majority of the time we get these competitions and that was it and then the players are gone and we're like well i guess that's never happening or i guess this just didn't make the cut i'm sure they had more conversations but i'm not seeing any so even so with how they did last season like you'd see the two people coming together it was usually i think it was the most a lot of it was in the first episode even when they were kind of just chatting and then you see the flashback of their

34:48 Past relationships and then you see them like talking again like they did it a couple times so obviously we saw a little bit with beth and veronica we i don't even know if we saw it with ronnie but she talked about you know her winning and stuff like that like i do wish that since they're using these people that we haven't seen in a long time to remind us of these dynamics that you're speaking of drew i'm totally with you like you have wes on the season yes he did have an epics episode a couple ago but like we like is he the lowest in confessionals like where's wes like wes has been on many seasons with a lot of these people i don't know where he sits with a lot of like we kind of know that he had something with john a and johnny is kind of like oh the last time you saw me i was a terrible player like i saw a little bit of that but can we see them interacting now and then like i don't i wish that they would go back into those vaults and remind us of these players and their dynamics and then seeing how they're playing out in the season so i'm 100 with you that the fact that they have these old school players that have played so many seasons together in the past that they're not really utilizing those relationships to build story on this season i'm still like you and really enjoying it absolutely big but i know all these relationships but if i was coming in not really knowing them like i think that they're really missing the mark as developing storyline

37:29 And they're pushing that into the challenge and things that's what people are gonna want and i think that again you guys both mentioned it is that if you look at the main show there's more time so you do actually get time to focus on a little bit of those relationships as well but it's such a my new thing like even the party scenes this season just haven't felt the same like it didn't feel like all stars won when they hit there and they were all having a good time going out like it's almost just now like okay we need like a little short clip of them doing a party because that's just a part of what we do but it doesn't really feel like they're having a good time almost this one though could be a little bit of foreshadowing because we do see at the party scene veronica talking about to kayla about how she kind of fell down the stairs and then we get the close-up of her foot is not gonna come into play because next episode looks like somebody's gonna be taken out of the game which is like i hate that i you know that i hate that so yeah especially for her to go out that way after i think everybody wanted to see veronica come back everybody wanted to see if she still got it the last time she was on the main show she didn't do too well with ct i believe it was the last time she was on the main show so now she's come back she's actually had an opportunity to show why she is one of the legions one of the og's of the franchise so for her to go out this way will feel extremely hollow
