2:40 Any stage in this life I put a poll up to say who had the best week was it the Vets big brother or Survivor we're eight votes and vets are leading by 62 Survivor score 38 and big brother has got a big old goose egg at this stage Kahuna who were you the most impressed by so far this week for the three big factions in the house I mean this way when we're talking about two episodes across the both it has to be the Vets Survivor strong is great but we see the target slowly shifting as the numbers dwindle for the Vets the bigger Target becomes Survivor and then the Big Brother survives so Survivor had a good week with both Chris and Cassidy but the Vets avoiding or I mean in the second episode anyway avoiding going in and really dominating Josh showing he's just a vet look I'm just as a fan of a big brother I think to me Josh and fessie this week has clearly shown their cards they're with the Vets they're not with big brother yeah showing the cards holding Court in episode four and then a big win for the vets in episode five so pretty good week overall I would give it to the vets for kind of sneaking under and losing a little bit of collateral damage in episode four but I think that one is okay by myself

4:00 I think the vids are out playing big brother and Survivor at the moment when they're so focused on each other and we'll talk about that later on when we do this review and recap as well where the Vets they've been around the block for a long time to know how to play opposing factions off against each other they're doing that splendidly at this point and yeah overall I'd have to agree with you I do think Survivor showed their teeth when it comes to being able to get into eliminations get their hands dirty and eliminate people so I think it's going to be a fun season overall there's a few more people I haven't said hello to Danica has now said she's removed the name luckily Danica I didn't see it so you did it just in time Dolores welcome back in the live as well Andrea we've already said hello too and everybody else Hector welcome back as well saying why are Joseph fishy playing with the Vets but not Michelle well I think the reason for that is because Justin fessey is very well and truly in with the Vets they have been a part of the power Alliance for the last what four five seasons now where Michelle has never ever been able to break into that Alliance they've never treated her as an equal so Michelle and Corey are like the two big question marks for me right now and I think Corey even still now though even though he's playing with the Vets I think he's one of the most willing people to turn on the Vets when the opportunity comes up because again he hasn't always been in with that core Alliance as well he in some ways also doesn't feel like he's

5:21 A part of that core Reliance Kahuna and the moves that he's done I don't know how he can be like he's coming to it with a not necessarily a rivalry but a pass with some of these people especially bananas team Young Buck made him their specific and very specific Target and you know they don't forget that he put himself in that position a long time ago and over the years has worked back to you know become one of the Corvettes where he's actually getting a call up for a show like this but he's still at the bottom of that totem pole because of the pass and we've seen this show so many times we say we don't like that people are playing for the future we don't like how people playing about relationships they should be playing for the win and this is why after what a decade I don't know how long Corey's been on this show for we're still seeing it out now after decisions made many seasons if not years ago where he's now going I've never been in with this team right and that's because I've never been in means that there's a history there's a path there's a relationship there's all this stuff that goes into what makes it up today and Corey I think he can't go far with the Vets as far

6:41 As you know he thinks he's at the bottom of that Alliance he will never go any further with you know the other the Survivor and big brother and stuff he's at the even further at the bottom of their Alliance can he beat them physically can he beat them in a final does he want to run with the Vets versus the rookies I would want to run with the rookies but you still have to get there and is he at the bottom of that list when there's however many men above him it's a hard position it's tough he's all great points Conan there's two really good questions that are coming in back to back here that I both want to address before we actually get into the start of this episode so Willy Lloyd has saying Corey should just forget about the vets and just work with the rookies and I was just about to say is Corey playing the long game as well if he does jump on with the rookies because there seems to be a movement and the challenge to try and get it on CBS more often to try and get more Challenge USA shows out there in the future there's been speculation that maybe the MTV show will not continue on after episode 40 and maybe we see this continuous new blood coming in so is it a good time for him to jump from one show to the other show get friends on this new network where if they come back they're already good with Corey I don't know if I'm thinking too far ahead of the future here but Danica is saying the exact opposite she's saying I wonder if we'll see Michelle change to

8:01 Work with the vents since she would like to stay with the challenge in the future and is less likely to be in on Survivor in the future and I don't see Michelle changing I think Michelle is loyal to the call when it comes to Survivor regardless of which way the show is going to go in but I do think that there is a chance with the way that the show's going currently they're getting you know they were down apparently a hundred thousand viewers from episode four to five but there are still averaging around 1.7 million views per episode which you've got to think it's higher than what you get on MTV when the challenge shows on MTV so it's a it's a pretty consistent number it's hard when you're comparing it obviously against shows like Survivor that gets six or seven million viewers but it's nothing to be sort of laughed at so I wonder what do you think governor do you think that there is a risk of The Challenge USA taking over do you think that the quality is there in the show with some of the new people coming in we've talked about the fact that on the MTV show they're running out of people that they can call they don't have this continuous you know conveyor belt with people coming in from the shows they used to grab them from what's your sort of thought on that yeah I mean that's been a problem for a while without the farm system of Road Rules or not Road rule that's been even longer but like the real world and the MTV verse where you're going to are you the one and things like that they

9:21 Had to expand to Survivor turkey and you know Geordie Shore and all these overseas shows and then went hey we've got a system here we've run out of our feeder system we've got a new one where we're going International why don't we just do the same thing but locally we've got survival we've got a big brother we've got Amazing Race we've got all these shows that we can pull from and I think it's worked out for them it is it a step for the future people have been saying all the fans on the internet we just speculate we think and we understand without anything really concrete and people are seeing the writing on the wall cable television is kind of a thing of the past or at least a dinosaur and its bottom end of its life cycle MTV is a big part of that it was such a iconic part of the cable TV movement in the states and the world in entertainment but streaming services the way entertainment is going the niche and fractured sort of entertainment verse people are saying MTV's on its last legs it's not going to be around for long is this the transition is this the backup plan to keep the challenge going when MTV is not going to be because right now MTV is I think it's ridiculousness about 18 hours out of the day then it's the challenge and team up and that's about it

10:41 Same TV hasn't got a lot going on at the moment but they're still producing stuff they're still making you know I don't know if you've if you watch Yellowstone and the Taylor Sheridan kind of universe he's making he's the biggest thing in dramatized TV at the moment Taylor Sheridan he's got three or four five shows going all at the same time and they're all it's really weird because Yellowstone is like I don't know if you know much about it but it's about like Montana ranches that are super violent gangster kind of people and yeah that's something and there's a lot of twists and Scandal and it's a guy's soap opera it's a like a an old man soap operas what it is and then there's a new show where Zoe Saldana plays an undercover special agent and all this sort of thing and they're these very serious TV shows but at the start of it's just slapped with the MTV logo MTV entertainment yeah has kind of like evolved into something that you know it's not what it used to be in the 2000s when we first started watching it which was predominantly music videos and it had like certain reality TV shows like I remember is it Tom Green who had his own show on there as well so I mean that was kind of like my thinking of MTV back in the day and I feel like challenges kind of outgrown it slightly and then we know that the future of how

12:02 We consume TV because even that 1.6 1.7 million that they're quoting that's people who watched it on CBS that's not the number of people that stream it afterwards like myself and a lot of people on Paramount plus the future of these TV shows it's going to be on streaming platforms so MTV has stayed behind because they don't really have a my like somebody can correct me on the chat if I'm wrong here I don't think they've got a streaming platform and if you don't have a streaming platform you're a dinosaur in today's climate of how people consume televisions I do think down the line they do need to look at what is it going to be moving forward Dolores is saying it seems like interview is moving more towards scripted shows yeah and I don't know even if that can save them well they're making it they're making them they're producing them but it's not for their Channel right they're producing the product and then putting on other channels and stuff it doesn't show on MTV they're just making it so they might move to more production than actual broadcasting distribution you know what I mean like they might make the products and give it to another Channel and still make money that way so MTV could still exist and make the challenge it just won't be on Channel 136 on your cable remote or whatever it is you know what I mean MTV will still be there challenge will stay with it will be on CBS it'll be in Paramount and MTV won't so we'll see yeah so this

13:22 Is a hot topic for me right now and I think almost it's worth having like a separate discussion about it because Survivor South Africa this week we found out information that it's been canceled obviously I'm a massive Survivor fan I'm from South Africa it's my favorite franchise so I did a lot of content on Survivor South Africa and there's some similarities where survivors of Africa maybe was caught behind the eight ball by not adapting to streaming Platforms in time and that caused issues where I'm hoping the challenge can remain ahead of it which at least it looks like they're doing that so if you do want to support Survivor South Africa I've got separate videos there's a community tab that you can go sign a petition to get it back on air I've spoken to people behind the scenes that are trying to get it onto a streaming platform so any support would be much appreciated even if you're not from South Africa and even if you haven't watched the show yet they're a stream for numbers you know so I'm just putting it out there if anybody wants to do it takes a couple of seconds you know you just quickly go and sign the petition that's in the community tab I posted it this week be much appreciate it but enough about that show let's get into the challenge here is a let's get into the start of this episode here we have bananas with a big decision to make right at the beginning of the episode we knew he was going to switch up teams bananas is not the kind of player that makes boring television decisions but he also made a very I think clever business decision and going to the blue team and you called it last week you said he was going to get Corey to swap in with him in the red team and

16:02 It like beyond the point of awkwardness so that it becomes comical on the show and that's exactly what they achieved and you know what knowing Dusty and having chatted to Dusty before not on a regular basis but he seems to be the kind of guy that will take it all in good fun obviously joking around with the baby and stuff like that he is a cool guy outside of the show so I'm sure he's taking it like a champ and he's sort of living into it but man like the producers know how to make someone look really awkward on this show because this is not the dusty that we saw on The Amazing Race this is the exact opposite of that and I just want to bring up some comments here Dolores saying Survivor he said must stay alive hashtag Survivor is a stream yes please Dolores let's keep the fire ignited Survivor Now podcast in the house saying this wise man Chris once told me that this challenge is a really cool thing you need to check it out I was basically on Survivor now's podcast this week we were talking about Survivor South Africa and he was like Survivor in the US should do this and I'm like the challenge is doing that he's like but what if we did this and I'm like the challenge is doing that so I feel like I was like selling the challenge to him and even before I got on I actually said to him like Survivor is like that show man it got me into competitive reality TV really love it but the challenge for me has become my favorite show like I actually enjoyed the challenge a lot more to watch now than Survivor in its current state in the US and you know hats off to them because

21:23 Singular focused Desi yeah it was funny and he's such a like I know that's how he won his big his season a big brother just being so annoyingly obnoxious I believe he was also being used he was also being used that season by another player called Paul who used Josh similar to how bananas is using him in this situation to deflect attention away from Paul because Paul was a returning player he was a player who made it to the final in the season before that so there was a lot of attention on him and he used Josh to help him get to the end they both got to the end to spoil the season for you they Coulda but yeah I don't know like Josh is doing just things maybe he'd work for him that season but like listen I'm kind of used to Josh now like I don't hate the guy as much as I used to bit of a hot take yeah I feel like after a while of hating on someone you just got to be like listen let the guy do his thing let he go out let him go out there and do his thing because I still don't think there is any risk of Joss winning this season I really don't like Drew from angel cake Adam is number one in his power rankings and you best believe if I'm back on the power rankings I'll be giving him a little bit of for that because after this week like how can you have them there like I just think that Josh is doing the most and at some point it's going to catch up to him who's benefiting out of that argument only the Vets only bananas benefits from that argument he's being used to take attention away

25:23 Woman I'm gonna put us my number one pick I'm risking it all I'm giving drew the first guy pick on the fantasy so I can have the first female pick because I want DC I knew Chantelle was going to pick her so she's highly rated by everyone but with that comes a lot of pressure on people and we sometimes forget that those people that are at the top that look like they've got it everything sorted out in life they've got the perfect relationship the perfect job they're physically capable they have sometimes their own insecurities and we saw this play out in this episode with Desi having a moment breaking down feeling like she's behind the eight ball in the game and that things are moving too quickly for her right now and it never got explained to us where this came from was it after the Josh blow up and Josh maybe called her out directly with Lewis and that caused her to be insecure I never really fully understood what happened at that point but again it just shows you even someone like Desi someone as stunning as Desi can also so if you feel sometimes like man I'm not enough just think about it everybody has those insecurities even people as capable as her yeah I don't know if this Falls it's like the show's just some people like they might be like the show's too woke they had poorly talking about his stuff going on we got Desi talking about mental health days and having a bad mental day and kind of you know what makes the

26:43 Show for me okay because I personally am kind of allergic to a lot of propaganda work stuff as well I don't like it but it doesn't bother me because the way that they do it is that they're having real moments Paulie had a real moment he didn't go out there and say and preach to people you know Dizzy's not going out there and preaching to people like we see that every day it's everything's politicized on TV these days the challenge doesn't do that they somehow these moments feel authentic when it happens and that's the balance that you need to have if it's authentic if it's not being preached on us it's not being pushed on us then I don't have a problem with it so I don't feel like DC's moment of weakness and even I guess there was the moment we could talk about the Cassidy moment as well I already knew about Cassidy's sister because of Survivor that came out in Survivor as well that story was told so it wasn't new to me but there would be a whole new audience and her wanting to bring awareness to the drug epidemic that is in America it's not an American only issue we have problems with that around the world and she wants to you know raise awareness for that I don't know what it is but somehow on the challenge it doesn't feel pushed on me you know so I don't have a problem with it if it's a natural authentic moment that's happening I think all three of those moments can be on the show there's absolutely no problem with it if we can learn something from it because I don't feel like they're preaching at me yeah you're right it comes

28:03 From a place of authenticity which is a funny thing to say for a reality show like The Challenge all right they're talking about the realness in it with three s's by the way shout out yeah like dizzy had you know everyone goes through that you just don't often do it in a house with 20 other you know or 17 other MTV people or challenge people with cameras in front of you in production and all that and it would be tough and for them to show that and Desi like you said one of the strongest women in the in the in the house goes through that mentally as well and can overcome it like Desi is now officially my Cara Maria Chris she is my number one by mile I think she could be last season I liked her a lot but I didn't put her like I was like ah because I thought maybe she's a one and done or I don't know like you just never know on that on the first introductory season but this season seeing like and I know the challenge we don't put as much stock into the Winner's edit as we do in Survivor but I feel like Desi's getting like really good at to have that overcoming story to have the struggle story to get a lot of focus I was like she's either going home or this could

29:24 Be like some version of it of a challenge win is it and I was like to me she's getting out like I'm getting there yeah like I'm getting I'm getting like I mean who else which other female competitor this season like a node the challenge doesn't do winners edits like I've made the mistake of trying to pick a Winner's edit many a seasons and I'm normally wrong when it comes to the challenge but which other woman on the show right now except for maybe Cassidy but I just I'm not a Believer yet that Cassidy can do it like and we'll talk about that later on when she gets in trouble and all that stuff but she's also got like a story that you can root for out there but they do it with Nelly T every season when he's on you know he needs to get the money for his mom and you know he was a bad kid growing up and his mom kept him grounded and like they all have these stories you know Corey coming back doing it for his kids and you know like it doesn't matter at the end of the day that might not be the winning one but I agree with you she's climbing up my rankings as a female competitor that I want to see come back on the show season after season plus we need strong women to be on the main show as well that can you know stand shoulder to shoulder with any of the strong men that are out there in the personalities that we have one of the biggest things for me is that you know we always talk about Jenny West where Jenny West is a strong female champion that never got brought back but Jenny West wasn't the

32:04 TV this Sparks always I love it we need Michaela and Jay on the same season that is going to be magical to have both of them there's history there for those who don't know so I want to see that play out on the challenge because Michaela will come for his head she will take revenge I'm sure of it Danica is saying dizzy got a raw deal last year with Enzo so I'm glad she's doing well both socially physically if she can emotionally hold on she's got this but I'm also rooting for Michaela yeah Michaela's got a lot of love here I think Desi has said she won't do the flagship that's a shame I'd love to see all right unless she could be the face of the franchise what they've done with Tori very quickly as well after Cara Maria kind of and Tori there was that short overlap and then Tori became it like the female version of The Challenge this is it Desi could be that for sure yeah I agree and the other thing I love the friendly banter between Western McKellar yeah so some great comments coming in here but I do want to keep it moving we do have like I said the Desi moment here that she is sort of confiding in Chanel and turf they're very close there as well which is going to be relevant later on because both Chanel and Tiff is going to have to fight for her position in the game but we move into the daily challenge the daily challenge is called sideswiped and this is a challenge where you've got two trucks driving next to each other we've seen

37:28 For going out there twice and doing this challenge you know we gave a shout out to DC the previous week for doing that so you know Corey once again proving that he is a team player and I'm more and more convinced that Corey can win a challenge hot take care but the challenge that he can win is one where there is a team that goes to the end to win it because I feel like there's certain deficiencies in his game that he has that gets hidden when he's in a team he doesn't have an ego when he's in the team he feels like a team player you know somebody that will step up and do the heart yards do the Dirty Work when he gets involved in these challenges so for me personally you know I'm enjoying what I'm seeing from Corey this season I think he's having one of his better Seasons performance wise and also just socially out there he seems to not be on anybody's radar I don't see even when they finally wake up when BB and Survivor finally wakes up and they're like we haven't gone after a vet anytime in the last couple of weeks who's still there bananas are still there West is still there are people in front of him that will get targeted so you know big win for him this week as well love the fact that when bananas and Tori goes out to do the final challenge bananas has to make a big show of it you know just dunking all of his puzzle pieces immediately whoops yeah I dropped it and just gives us like he knows how to Mulk the most out of a situation and he does an extremely good job covering

1:06:57 For me was that TJ made a point of saying that the puzzle pieces were weighed in proportion to their body weight which to me feels like it's an improvement of what we normally get on the challenge when these types of challenges happen and I wonder if challenge usa1 having a lot of the players that came from Survivor playing the game complaining about some of the ways that the challenges are set up and how it's unfair in certain ways if that did actually you know if that made a difference coming into the Challenge USA too they've again got players from other shows like Survivor where they always do weigh these things in proportion to the body weight if that actually helped improve the show that's my biggest thing is you can have criticism as long as you take that criticism and you do make it more fair for the future it is really cool and we do see that players take this into consideration when they have to do this challenge because they've got to move these very uncomfortable big boxes that are hard to carry from one point to the other it's a race but they've got checkpoints along the way that they can solve each box has got different puzzle pieces in it and they strategically try to get the heaviest guys boxes sort of figured out first with fessy and Corey and those guys they're trying to solve those puzzles to make the weight lighter but West comes up with the real winning game plan here that is basically saying we do one puzzle piece we solve it we run all the way to the end and we sort of you know look at our fitness to get us there

1:08:17 And being the smallest team out there I think they only had five people they had less boxes to carry and ultimately that experience comes into play and finally Michaela gives Wes the okay when he is strategizing throughout this because they had a little moment there of trust me on this and let's do it and ultimately it played out that way did you like this challenge did we learn anything new about these challenges and how they're going to compete if they were to go to a final just by looking at this daily yeah I like the challenge there's obviously the physical endurance side of it seemed like they were pretty heavy like someone couldn't even really get them up they were awkward to carry they ended up working out a let's all carry them together like one on each side of the box kind of thing which was great to see that strategy play out the puzzles were in there which added a level of complexity and you have to that ultimate challenges decision that they often put in do we like Wes take it and run and just you know brute force it try to use our strength to get through or do we use our brains to lighten the load with the puzzles and there's always that interesting decision there I did hear Cassidy said that on the official channels podcast that the there was a lot of puzzles there was more stations than they actually showed us and more chances to drop them off I always found that interesting that the percentage

1:09:37 Of the body weight thing is good you know you do that thing Chris when you watch a challenge you go how would I go in that challenge I hate hearing the percentage of body weight thing when it's me I'm like I don't know what percentage it is but any percentage of 500 pounds or whatever you know 200 kilos or whatever it is not a good thing so you saw a core and it's always interesting there seems to be like almost like a Venn diagram or overlapping graphs where like if you're too light you're not strong enough to carry even a lighter load that is a percentage of your body weight and then you get into this realm where your strength is proportionate to the weight and then you go a little bit too far where I'm not as strong as heavy as I am heavy you know what I mean so yeah and there's this like Middle Ground where it seems like the smaller team in green and the bodies they had on there without a festee carrying a percentage of his weight without a quarry carrying a percentage of his weight when you've got a Tyler a Wes and a Monty doesn't look that big does he like he's not a little dude but he's no I think he's got some I think he's got some muscle weight on him okay well and then you've got on the opposite end the strength in a person like Michaela probably out is stronger than her weight whereas Elissa L is weaker than her weight you know what I mean like it's always it's a balancing act it's just interesting

1:10:57 The way it plays out and the fact that West has been there before I said earlier that no matter what challenge they throw at him there's some sort of done at variant or a tweak and he's done it before I think it was there you go season 10 to 13 somewhere I wish I could remember it but the live has just told us that it was for response too that they did it before so it wasn't my it wasn't my memory that was actually one of the shows one of the seasons I went back to go watch when I binge watched all of it the thing is when you binge watch so many seasons in a row they're all kind of blend in together yeah and then it's hard to like remember where if you were watching it when it came out it's probably easier to remember but you're right that experience comes into play bananas took an opposite approach with his team with they were trying to solve more puzzles thinking that West's team was gonna gas out but clearly they had a lot of strength in that team to get to the end I think Alyssa Snyder was probably the weakest link in that team when it comes to the physical part of it but having Tyler Wes Monty all very physically fit guys Michaela very fit very strong like you said for her own body weight and then probably only having Alyssa Snyder's dead weight to carry and sort of push through this thing was definitely the right strategy for them to go on and win this one and I was happy for green that they pulled it off but this time they knew that they needed to take a shot back at blue because blue

1:12:18 Is the strongest team they've got the most people in the house they took a shot at them in the previous episode when they let red win the daily challenge so come The Liberation time Michaela found herself on the wrong side of the votes here because she was the only Survivor player she came in very hot Kahuna Into The Liberation saying that I don't want it to be two survivors we can't do two survivors and she was very adamant about that do you think she should have come in that hot or was there a way for her to try and hide behind the fact that I guess there are still sevens of other players in the game she said that her game would be at risk Wes called out well you put my game at risk a couple of you know votes ago for the very same reason and then you've got Tyler who's already suspicious of Chris Monty is suspicious of Survivor like she was she was fighting a losing battle there but at least she could go back I guess with her head held high saying I tried I tried my best not to get Survivor voted in this round yeah she was that a she was gonna lose no matter what like she just didn't have the numbers it's so obvious that Survivor with seven people is outnumbered especially now that the Vets are weakened to four instead of six it's where you go okay that threat is no longer as much of a threat we can focus on another threat and Survivor became that threat Michaela she should have

1:13:38 Done that like it's absolutely you want to keep your numbers there's no hiding the fact that she's survivors strong she's made that clear but when she when Desi made the switch and sort of put another big brother number there instead of a Survivor number it kind of flipped it a little bit on her and she unfortunately didn't have the numbers when Big Brother's like Tyler Monty and now with Alyssa ASA looking at Survivor with side eyes going we have to do something here Chris just won again Desi just won we have to change something otherwise the numbers are going to get away from US Vets are probably thinking the same thing we've seen them trying to plot BB versus Survivor the entire episode and then it plays out at that point when Michaela just doesn't have the Firepower behind her ideas which are right we saw it with Chanel as well but Michaela didn't even have the lack of backbone people with it she had no one they were all against her including West and West kind of got his moment in the sun again I found it interesting when the vote was made and Alyssa Snyder and Michaela caught up with Cassidy they both said we didn't vote for you so Alyssa Snyder who was in team blue literally an episode before stay true to her previous blue team member and Captain the person who sort of put that team together and said I didn't vote for you with Michaela but we were out voted by the boys so Chris and

1:14:58 Cassidy do get voted in there is a quick exchange between Tyler and Chris in the kitchen where Tyler says sorry brother and Chris is like you're not sorry if he was sorry you wouldn't have voted me in so clearly this thing is coming to an head there's going to be some blows even if it's in the actual Arena I'm here for it I want to see Chris and Tyler go head to head and again the Vets are playing them perfectly but before we go into the next day where the Vets come up with their plan there is a bit of a party scene Kahuna they finally show us a bit of a party scene with them going out having drinks having a bit of fun Cassidy maybe having a little bit too much fun with Tori on the Dance Floor I don't know what was going on there okay Victoria has that effect on a lot of these rookies when they come you know the rookies just want to you know they just want to get up on Tori like sea bass which we haven't seen much of in this episode which was fun to see you know Cassidy getting involved with all the wrong people right now getting involved with Tori getting involved with Josh I don't know man like I don't know like I love I love Cassidy but did no one warn her before she went on to the season who not to get close to apparently not because if they did she didn't listen she ignored it completely almost like the two worst people to pick in the house for that but yeah that's sort of thing she's enjoying it yeah she's enjoying herself but anyway so the party scenes are pretty much it seems like it's like a little bit more of a political thing we started the whole life today with the Bachelor

1:16:18 Competition and the fun of that Cassidy getting really upset about West potentially winning clearly showing that there's bad blood there she does not want that to happen when everybody else is having fun but then the next day is probably where the most interesting thing happens we've got the Vets coming together coming up with Operation Hat Trick where torius the Mastermind off this plan where they're gonna put a bunch of names on a bit of paper and put it in a hat draw the name and then they won't know who they're all voting for so they can have plausible deniability and also so that you don't get any of the people in the house thinking that the Vets are working together which would be a threat to either big brother or Survivor did you like this plan do you think it was effective or do you sort of Reserve judgment until we go into the next episode I'm like I like the plan because it was fun like they got to like muck around and do the I'm gonna eat the paper and the whole you know secret spy sort of thing was good television I don't necessarily see the purpose of it though I didn't get why they had to keep it secret from each other like I didn't understand like what plausible deniability just don't say anything the deniability is I didn't do it like you know I don't understand not knowing where anything lies I understand throwing chaos in there but at the same time it didn't actually add anything like they didn't get to focus their attention

1:18:58 In the beginning of the Season I'm starting to get a little bit less I'm becoming a less of a fan of the hopper because in this episode Alyssa Lopez who I think have had a good season she was fun in the confessionals great observations going against the Vets creating that counter Force we want two forces in the house you know she does end up getting the short end of the stick here because Tori throws one vote on her and that vote ends up sending her into an arena against Cassidy she says her whole life she's had bad luck why would it be any different on the challenge she has to go and do this Arena challenge where they're both in these big cages that they have to move within the arena to grab Flags each flag is four flags of them together will be put together on a light sort of Podium thing that they put it onto to decipher a code for the lock to get out of the cage and then for them to run to the end hit the buzzer and win this what did you think of the Arena what did you think of Alyssa being in such a bad position with one vote against the going in and how do you feel about the hopper as a whole now that we've sort of seen play out a little bit I was a little bit iffy on the hopper from the start I do like that it's throwing Randomness into the equation so we don't see the same game played out every single season which we've seen where the vacation Alliance or the Vets kind of Dominate and we're seeing

1:20:18 It now dominating but not necessarily because of the votes but because of the way they're manipulating which is great to see them forced to play the game the hopper adds that level of Randomness where it takes away the gameplay or the strategy from the challenges they can't dictate who goes in there which is so some a good thing because when it becomes a dominant Alliance it kind of gets a bit boring but you also want to see the players play the game right like we've talked about in Survivor one of the difficulties in the in the modern era is the fact that there's so much luck based elements that the production has kind of taken that away from the players because as soon as even if they make the right decisions they play a perfect game so some twists will come in and ruin it and Alyssa didn't necessarily get the votes because she was unpopular she didn't get the votes because she was a Target she didn't get that it was just random and she copped it and people are saying I have a bit of a problem with it as well Chris the hopper not being clearly shown as to like this episode make it transparent make it transparent like we've so many times we challenge fans are a little bit iffy they're a little bit skeptical that we don't trust production not entirely and then when you have something like this where
