5:21 Edited winner so we didn't actually get to see a lot of her gameplay her story it was kind of a very surprising way if that makes sense right like it was like if you look closely there is stuff there you know on why she won but there was still kind of a bit of a shock on why she won but I'm glad to see her see her back we got two big brother players as well and pretty big players as well and Kevin he won hang on I wrote it down these lights are too dark I miss my overhead light but Kevin is the winner of season five of Canadian big brother and we also have kzi who's also Big Brother player for season 11 and she made top K's also a poker player now yes he's a professional poker player just like your boy Dan baby yeah how do you feel about these three players Koozie Kevin and Erica just off the bat to be honest like it's kind of so early into the game that it's hard for me to pick somebody who I want to kind of like align with kind of like how I did with Dan and Julia

8:01 Quite cocky which I do love seeing that you know be so love themselves I've seen a bit of the most recent season of UK Traders because my mom's watching it so sometimes when I visit like I'll see a bit of that and man like they that's also there are some cocky dudes in that one that's watch that if you wanna if you want to hurt on the inside but you know yeah let's talk about Traders Canada it's been released one episode week which is a little bit unfortunate for us because while there is stuff to break down there's actually not a lot to break down unfortunately so this podcast may be a bit shorter than what we normally do but we'll try to make sure we fill you in with this much juicy content just because it's the first episode so we know people who will get eliminated but we don't know you know who has been eliminated yet and obviously nobody's been banished either so yeah exactly and so since they're doing it one episode a week next week I assume we'll be getting a elimination and a banishment and then it'll be like that for the rest of the series I'm not sure if

9:21 They will be going to two episodes a week or not but just for right now it's one episode a week how do you feel hush I should ask about just one episode this week obviously Traders New Zealand we had two episodes we got to see the nimation and the banishment how do you feel sort of being left on this Cliffhanger I guess with no real guess there are like there's Merit in both right like in both ways of releasing it like if you do two episodes you know people are more likely to like they feel like they almost get to binge because they see two episodes that week that they're like oh [ __ ] oh hick sorry I can see another one haven't podcasted in a little bit oh goodness I can see another one and you know then they watch that and now they're on a cliffhanger and they have to wait but now they're more invested but then I guess with this it's like there's more suspense in a way you know there's more like mysterium about it and wondering like oh how is this going to unfold because we've just had the first one so I don't know from a practical standpoint it's been good because you and I have just been like really busy this week so it's made this easier but yeah and you know that

10:42 At the end of this month my schedule's going to become a lot more consistent so two episodes or one doesn't really matter so much yeah absolutely but well you know there's not much stuff going on there was stuff going on so let's quickly talk about I just want to quickly talk about the Traders selection it was really funny because heish and I we watched episodes together either you know I streamed to more you know we're both just hanging out at mine or his we watch it and they kept and when we were watching it there was an ad that kept popping up for faster Canadian WiFi and it kept coming up while the host was circling around trying to select the Traders and hey I don't know about you but it felt like majority of the episode was just the host trying to choose the Traders bro that Canadian Wi-Fi it was it was your computer trying to tell you that you should get better wi-fi I probably do yeah lot of times we to like refresh the site no I know but in seriousness though I think it's good that the host whatever her name is somebody please remind me that the host

12:02 Did take her time because I guess if you go around just once or twice you know because you're impatient it's perhaps easier for people to predict like oh she stopped a bit longer there or you know unless you're going to stop at a long time for a long time at each person which is kind of silly but that allowed her to kind of stop at people you know deliberate and then like continue you know and so it's a bit of it throws people off but also people being blindfolded for like a long time naturally it's going to make them more fearful you know like not being able to see particularly in a public space for a long time like it will make people just uncomfortable and like more like paranoid and you know like imagine you went in a room with like a hundred people in a crowd and then it was Pitch Black for like 10 minutes you'd go crazy you know yeah maybe not crazy but you get what I mean right and so I think that the longer they were in there when they there was all that suspense like the whole show and they did it with the New Zealand Traders as well it's like they're trying to do all these little things to make the people paranoid they're trying to take them away from their senses because that makes for bit of TV yeah so I think it was good yeah and but there was one moment though where they take off the blindfolds and Melissa who

13:22 Is one of the Traders starts crying like her eyes are very tearful and she's cry let's yeah not like crying cry but like her eyes were wet her eyes were very wet and I feel like that would be an obvious sign of a trailer because I'm for example with me sometimes I've got blocked tear Ducks I've had it since 2019 but every now and then it would like just unblock and I just Rand start sorry I just Rand start just tearing up and I feel like it would be such a Traders giveaway of oh this person's got tears in the eyes like obviously you know maybe they got tapped and they're really excited or perhaps like emotional about something but I feel like since the fact that it was obvious there for quite some time you like Melissa could probably easily just come across and be like oh no I just hate the dark or something or black was too intense on the face yeah right I don't know the thing is and you know I think anyone who's kind of like into learning how to like read people's behavior and that kind of psychology stuff like people would probably know that anyway but if not something that we definitely learn from the Traders New Zealand season one is that picking

14:42 Up on small cues is important it's good to be observant of that but if you pick up on one thing and that's it like you that person might be a Trader but you can't rule them out as a Trader just from that like you think with like Mike putu right like the bro Dylan right he was like oh he didn't act as happy as everyone else so he's definitely a traitor or you know Robbie said some questionable things you know just as they rolled off of her tongue right more than once well okay fine sure but with the first one people were already sold yeah true and so and she wasn't a traitor yeah but so with things like that I think it's one of those kind of things that you could be like that's outside of the norm that she's got ter eyed but there could be so many reasons for it I'm going to remember it but not be immediately suspicious I'm just going to like watch her and everyone else and if other things come up as well that kind of put that into a context where it's like oh that was traitorous or Treacher whatever you know like then you'd be more suspicious but that in and of itself like I think that you would

16:02 Be yeah too I think you'd be naive to think that was a traitor thing in and of itself yeah absolutely but speaking of traitors Let's quickly talk about them so we've got three Traders we've got Melissa who we briefly talked about Magic Mike the magician and we also have kozie the Koozie the Big Brother player how do you feel about these three being the starting Traders I think they're all good I don't I don't think we saw enough of Koozie to for me particularly somebody who hasn't seen you know or doesn't know any of these people you know yeah already but with Mike I think that we've had more of him in the edit and you know I mean I haven't even seen Big Brother any Big Brother season so don't fully know how it works so it's hard for me to be like oh like this bro was on Big Brother but then with Mike it's like well I know what a magician does you know what I mean so I'm kind of excited for him I think he's probably the traitor that I feel most like you know that I Vibe the most with at the moment yeah and obviously Melissa she's you know people are already really

17:22 Suspicious of a I'm like well bro I don't know like I'm not you know I'm not I'm not just gonna be sing because you're because you're bad at the game gosh yeah I do feel a bit bad for Melissa because once you get that Target it's impossible to shake right and it was just a couple moments at the round table when the blindfolds first got taken off where apparently she was staring at people bit intensely and you know plus eyed stuff and that she's involved in too many conversations that's what I'm saying though right if I were a faithful I would I would be looking at people intensely if I were faithful as soon as we remove the blindfolds I would be eyeing up everyone trying to figure out yeah you know and look the reason the fact that people noticed not just that she was staring at them but that she was staring at people intensely is because they were doing the same thing yeah exactly they wouldn't have known that unless they were also like trying to scope everyone out so bro but you know it's there the beauty of the Traders though right is it doesn't matter what you think or what you do it's what other people think and if everyone's doing the same thing as you

18:42 But they think you're doing it like just a tiny bit more sus then you're the target somehow it's weird right it's weird if I were a faithful and somebody was doing something and I was like for a second like is that suspicious I would think like well how am I playing cuz I know I'm a faithful not that everyone not that every faithful would play the same but if they were doing things that I was doing you know they still could be a traitor maybe they're just playing really well but like you know I would be like that thing on its own isn't suspicious because I'm doing it yeah unless you're Robbie but like well we may be sit up for another Robbie this season heish and her name is no it's is it Dona Donna I think it's Donna but she's a sidekick and immediately we see people start targeting her for the first punishment I'm not sure I rewatched the episode and I still wasn't sure why people were targeting her but they were targeting her and she has this emotional you know moment where she talks about how like you know the game is you know just quite stressful and stuff like that do that yeah and

22:44 Yep yeah and I do want to talk about Kevin but just before we do let's quickly talk about the mission I feel like this was bit of a cinematic Mission almost where they to break up into two groups one being like a physical group the other being a bit less physical and the physical ones had to run up this hill to you know grab these two different things and then run back down with it and while the other team you know they found like a bunch of different wires and sort of you know clipp them all together to make this giant explosion but we had sorry I keep forgetting his name it is it TR poor Trevon joined the physical side ran all the way up that Steep Hill all that back down and we keeps seeing that he was like struggling and struggling he had to like leave to catch his breath and come back and he collapses at the end and turns out he's got asthma bro like look it's not it's not a reason to like banish him or to think that he's like a traitor or anything like I don't think it should have any impact on like how you play the rest of the game with or without him but like one thing that one of the players said in their confessionals thereafter

25:25 Out no to be honest I what my smartest move of the week is and it's not it's not that okay yes sorry Trev you we've talked a bit of trash about I think you're a nice guy but bro like you know you always got make evacu still Legend though still Legend getting evacuated so yeah like I probably couldn't run all the way up that hill and back down carrying that and I don't have asthma I'm just a really lazy guy so anyways we're quite a cinematic thing where they're able to you know pull the dynamite and all blows up it's epic and then we come back and there's a lot of strategy to what going on and especially from one person in particular Kevin the winner of Big Brother season five he sort of makes an alliance with Koozie and Erica the other Big Brother player who's actually a Trader and the Survivor winner and something that I found quite interesting about it is that he made this Alliance and he talks about how he wants to keep the reality stars around like the biger names around to sort of like Windle out the sort of like normal

26:45 People right and here's a interesting talking point for us heish is it worth aligning yourself with other strategic players is even though there's a chance that they could be a Trader just to maybe keep yourself in the game a bit longer so you might be banishing people who don't think is a Trader but you're banishing people because you're just wanting to keep your numbers up I think that's just dumb to be honest I think like maybe in some games you know for example Survivor like trying to align yourself with strategic people sure that's like dangerous because you know eventually they might out strategy you and get you out but like for a while you can kind of ride their wave you know what I mean like I get that if that's how you want to play it you know that being like kind of riding the wave but I think at the end of the day like you know if you trust your instincts and maybe you don't but like just trust your instincts otherwise like why are you there what are you doing right just try to figure out who you think are the Traders and play around that not play around who well this person's been on this TV show what does that matter that might have impacted whether or not they were chosen

34:47 They act yeah true well let's move on till the end of the episode CU there wasn't really much else that was going on oh I guess some people was star to Target K because he was overplaying his hand quite a bit so I think Kevin and Melissa might be the two main targets going into the banishment next week I'm not sure but we do get to the Traders Tower which I was a bit sad to see that we've moved on from the shrick toilet Hut to like an part of the castle now where we see Melissa Magic Mike and kzy all have a chat and you know they talk about help Melissa's names are out there and something I found quite interesting is that we normally only get like three names or like two names right but I feel like we got multiple names on who can potenti be always three names bro on in New Zealand Traders it was always three names and like sometimes you could tell that the producers were saying like say a third one but like they didn't actually have a reason like the first time they put king's name into it's like it was that was definitely like a say third one moment you know yeah definitely but the people up for potential
