07 Welcome back to the nullifier take where i've got the tnt takes for you on australian survivor blood versus water episode 23. we're getting down to the pointy end of the stick now with only one episode left before we crown the next australian survivor champion here of blood versus water and exciting times ahead because i do think that this final four there is a lot of potential within it and i will maybe break down a very quick power rankings for who i think will actually win this season at the end of my top five but without further ado let's get straight into the top five taking points here for this episode so talking point number one shea wins her way to the final four at the beginning of this episode we learned that everybody wants to target shea because they know that she has got the right skill set to go on to win and the final immunity challenge for the season as students of the game those that have seen previous seasons they know that at the end it's most likely going to be an endurance challenge and something that will require you to tolerate some pain at the end and those are the things that shea have been extremely good at throughout this season i mean she is the biggest challenge beast the left at this stage in the game she's only got one person in her camp at this stage and that is kj but i do think that relationship that they have is one that was born out of convenience because they do don't have anybody else in the game
27 That they can go to she pulls out the win here against all odds in this immunity challenge by running up and down this gutter-like obstacle where they have to throw a ball into and they've got to keep capturing the ball before it hits their tile and they go up to four balls before mark at the end mistimes one of the balls and is the last person out of the challenge giving the immunity here to shea you have to wonder how much in the end if shae does get there how much will this jury respect immunity wounds and her besting her way to the end opposed to being strategically in control or someone that others wanted to work with in this game i normally look at it this way you have to have three components to this game you have to be able to do the strategic part to prove that you've outwit you have to prove that you can now play by winning challenges and you have to outlast everyone to get to the end of the game i think that physically and now playing people she's got that portion on lock but outwitting i don't know if she really has that component to her game number two chrissy wants to build her resume and we find out here early on in the episode when they go back to camp that she feels marquez made a huge mistake in playing his idol and that the soldier boy is now someone that she can target in this game and she understands that she hasn't really made the
48 Biggest strategic impression on those in the jury she realizes that a lot of them are fans and that they're going to want to give this game to someone who has proven that they're a great representation that they would be a great representative of this season so due to that she now feels like she has to make a move what i find very interesting in this episode is the fact that her move is to get rid of mark and not josh which to me is strange because when you hear how everybody talks about josh in this episode it kind of confirms what i've known for a long time that josh has probably played the best all-round game this season so her wanting to make a move that is separate to joss to prove that she also had her own game that she played and vote out mark i still don't think would have even gotten her the win if she did vote mark out here and if she did sit next to josh in the end game she does go into this tribal council and follows through after kj spoke to her about voting for mark and convincing her that both herself and shea would vote for mark she does go and vote against mark here but then finds out that she has put her boy josh in big danger and because of that she changes her vote again to make sure that josh is safe and she sends kj home and she sees kj you made a mistake by doing this but you're gonna go home
08 At the spot number three kj knows that her only hope is to split up the three and the three that i'm talking about is mark josh and chrissy who have been in an alliance this whole game and have really not gone against each other all that much within this game they have truly been a part of a very strong majority alliance for most of this post game now she manages to get chrissy to turn her back on this three and i think that we should give respect and credit for kj for being able to do this she goes in there and makes chrissy doubt in her own ability to win against both these boys at the end and therefore she gives herself a fighting chance within the game kj also knows that joss is probably the biggest threat in the game to win it so i think subconsciously she really wanted mark to turn against josh here and take him out which would have meant that the biggest target in the game is gone and there is a better chance for kj and the rest of the girls to win this season but sadly she does misjudge here mark's own acting skills and the fact that he goes to her and says he's going to do this and then ultimately he does not follow through with it which then puts kj at risk because if she chose the right person here with shay by going with chrissy and voting mark out she would
28 Have gotten into this final four and would have had i think a great chance to make it potentially even into the final three so small miscalculation but you can't blame her she was really playing very hard and trying to work every single angle in this episode the fact that she survived for as long as she had in this game and i know purgatory came in and she had to come back and fight away again in the game to where she got the fact that she still got this far though has to be applauded because i feel like sophie actively worked against kj's chances in this game early on by not really gelling with people not fitting in i really think that it also made people not want to work with kj as much and it would have had an effect at a crucial part of the game prior to the merge where she just couldn't recover or get into a tight alliance where she could work with them so hats off to kj i think she did well the in spite of what happened and you know losing sophie early in the game and sophie being such a destructive force within the game that people just didn't get along with for her to be able to put out fires and still get to where she got i think was a really good game from her now talking point number four josh wants mark in the game and it's really funny because they kind of both want each other in the game at this stage he doesn't want to be the only male gun into the final four and he believes that if mark gets
48 Taken out in the spot he would automatically be the next person that's on the chopping block if shea wins that immunity and he tries everything in his power to convince chrissy to just stay true to the cause and vote with them for one last time here so that they can get control back in the game but he very much senses that chrissy is not going to be loyal this time or that she may turn against the three-person alliance that they've had for so long and i think that it's interesting to see josh at the bottom here for the first time in the games the first time he doesn't feel like he's got control in the game and you can really see that he is struggling with this back and forth between him chrissy and mark but hats off to him overall he's played a really good game and to only lose control this late in the game at the final fight i think he's done a great job to get here and i do think the only misread that he has at this point is that he thinks shea would go for mark ahead of him if they were to go into the final four because clearly shea is very focused on him so if he does not win the next immunity and mark or shea wins it i do think still that josh is on the chopping block and that enough people know that he will win the game against anyone if he gets there so the only way for josh in my mind to win this game right now is he has to win the next immunity talking point number five mark is
08 Playing with fire by keeping josh around for one more vote and normally when you play this game you don't want the person that potentially could win this game to go into a final four situation where they only have to win one challenge they get to the end and they take this whole season but mark is really worried similar to josh that if he is the only guy in the final four that the girls could very easily turn on him and take him out and he does not make the end game and he came here to play this game like he tells us to win it he's doing it for his son he's doing it for sam at this point and he didn't sacrifice this much to come back because for him this isn't a fun vacation or a fun trip that he is playing the game out of just wanting to be there for the experience he came with a mission and the mission is to win the half a million dollars so mark decides to keep josh around here when he had the perfect opportunity to vote josh out and if he does lose this season he's gonna look back at this very moment where he had the control in his hands to go and vote josh out of the game but i think he's banking on the fact that shea will continue to focus on josh in the next round so if he wins or shay wins in this next round i believe the target is going to be josh has to win so it's a high risk high reward situation where he is currently playing and because i think he wins if josh
28 Goes home big gamble let's see how it plays out in tomorrow night's episode also lastly just before we move away from our top five talking points and i guess it could have been a sixth point here is that there was another hidden immunity idol at camp because jlp did call out at the end that if anybody has the idol to play it which i found very interesting so it does make you wonder did anybody look for this idol because there was quite a few people that were at risk and at a final five situation i think everybody would have been out there trying to find this idol and for most of the season they made it extremely easy to find them you could almost not miss it so it's very interesting that no one seemed to find this last idol that was in the game now in conclusion let's look at who i think has the best chance to win this season based on what we've seen in these recent episodes and throughout the whole season i have to say power rankings let's do top three people i think there's only three people out of the four that can win currently and that does mean that i'm sadly going to shade someone here and before i do that i just want to say it's nothing with the person i think they're a great person i'm just talking about the game that i've seen on tv and i'm sure that there's a lot i did not see that will make its appearance at some point but i have to say power rankings best person and the best spot to win this is josh this is josh's game to win or lose currently he has to go out there and
48 Win this final immunity challenge to get into the end and i do think that people will reward him for the control that he's had over everybody this season the fact that he ran the strategy for most of the season and he did so without any advantages or idols in the game which i think is really impressive and he's only just now started feeling the pressure so hats off to joss number two mark i think if josh is out of the game mark wins he's got all the respect he has had idols he has had a seat within that majority alliance for a long time and i do think that him and josh have been each other's one or two in regards to that alliance and making decisions and i think people will want someone from that alliance who played a strategic game to win if the other one's not there so i feel like regardless these are one of the two boys that are going to win and one of them is going to make the final three so i don't even know why i'm going to go into the third one but i will put it out there a very slight outsider chances that shay could still win this she's gone to purgatory she was voted out of the game she's won her way back in the game she's again been the underdog this whole season and i don't think anybody has outplayed better than her maybe jordy but he's not there at the end so she has really outplayed even him in this game i do think that some people may respect that and throw some votes at her now the last person who i think has got zero chance sadly of winning this game it's going to be chrissy i've loved chrissy
08 As a character this season i think she's brilliant like she said she didn't come in with a plan she kind of asked backwards stumbled her way into the positions she is currently in the game and sadly with this jury with so many fans i don't think that they're going to give her this when her moves that she tried to pull just came that little bit too late in this game that's it in any case for my top five talking points here for episode 23 i will catch you guys next time when we talk about the winner of australian survivor blood versus water and the top five talking points for the finale catch you guys next time and as always if you like this content hit the like button below put a comment on there let me know what you thought of this episode and who your favorites are going into this final episode
