07 Welcome back to the nullified tech where we've got the tnt takes for you on australian survivor blood versus water the final episode so before i start with my final thoughts i just would like to thank everybody once again for all the support you showed this season and liking the videos commenting below by the time that the next australian survivor hits our tv screens there will be again an improvement on everything that i do you will see a better camera quality i'm going to change a few things in the background here and i'm going to continue to work on my video editing skills i had zero video editing skills in the beginning of this season so i've kind of taught myself how to do a little bit and you would see if you go back and watch my five top talking points for each week you would see that it actually changed quite a lot throughout the season and i'm gonna continue to improve on that so thank you for everybody that stuck with me and that watched all of these short form videos throughout the season there will also be a podcast in which we will talk about the finale and we'll also talk about all of our thoughts in regards to the whole season as a whole so i'm looking forward to talking to some friends about australian survivor in a longer format as well so keep a lookout for that one and also just before i get into my final thoughts here the giveaway for the australian survivor buff is gonna happen this week and keep an eye out for that
27 And we'll be live so if you're available around the time that i go live awesome jump in ask a few questions more than happy to talk to you otherwise it'll just be me talking to myself with a big wheel and a bunch of names for everybody that's commented on these videos to give away this buff which i'm really excited to give back to the community that have supported me through this season to give you an idea when i started this i think i had like 50 or 60 subscribers in the beginning of the season and we are now at 540 subscribers so thank you so much for that i know it's not just australian survivor fans but for those australian survivor fans that have supported me thank you so much all right final thought number one chrissy left it too late i kind of called it in my previous talking points where i said that i don't think chrissy's got any chance at winning this game she did almost convince me at the end that her social game was of such a nature that people may respect this because as a die-hard fan of the show i've seen many times in the past where players that i thought played a more dominant and aggressive game players that maybe strategically owned their season have lost against social players and when chrissy started talking about her social game here in the final episode and how she believes she had the best social game of everyone and then her performance at final tribal council where she talked to every individual and shared stories
47 About their lives with them i almost thought she may be able to pull some votes out here and maybe get that runner-up spot ahead of shea who i thought had a better chance of getting some respect from the jury due to how well she did in all of the physical challenges out there but ultimately she left it too late and i think chrissy's gonna look back at this season and regret two things firstly she's gonna regret that she stayed with mark and josh for as long as she did she may not but if she wanted to win she needed to take them out a lot earlier in the game and she left it way too late to make a case one move before final tribal council no one was ever going to respect that and like mark said it was all about who actually performed throughout the whole season and had multiple moves not just one move so she was never gonna be able to do one move and sell this jury who are massive fans of the show that she deserved to win this game at the end number two for her in regards to what i think she will regret is the relationship with josh she was so close to her he was clearly her number one throughout this whole game but she ultimately cut her ahead of marquee in the end and she was the king maker this season she decided who won this season i firmly believe that if she went against mark in the spot and mark went home that josh would have won this season so i could understand if josh's
07 Up until today still upset about this and i know some people will say it's only a game 500 000 is a lot of money now i'm not saying that he wouldn't forgive her or he couldn't understand where she's coming from but i know that if she cost me five hundred thousand dollars after i was loyal to her for as long as he was it would have been tough for me to comprehend what went wrong at the end and i feel like he would have had the right to be upset about that at least for a while because he played out of his skin and he thought that the person that was his right in person would be with him until he and the one thing i will say in chrissy's defense here i'm a massive chrissy fan i hope people realize this even though i'm giving her a bit of stick here i do think that in her defense she knew he was coming for her or she had an inkling of it and she took him out before he could took her out so all's fear in love and war and he did try and take a swing at her here final thought number two i think that joss was the best player not to win this season obviously the best player did win and mark and he ultimately outplayed josh and he did lay his plan out pretty well to the final jury but i do think that josh probably did about 90 to 95 off everything right this season he had control of his alliance he was dictating the votes i mean he had that much confidence that he told people to their face when they were gonna go home and he didn't fear letting people know about the plan which is something as a die-hard fan i don't appreciate i don't
27 Think you ever even if you're in a position of power let people know that they're on the chopping block and that they could potentially go home so fair dinkum to him he had a lot of control of this game to the point where he could do that and it didn't jeopardize his spot in the game he ultimately underestimated chrissy and marky in the end and how willing they would be to cut him out to win this game and that was his five percent to ten percent of game that just wasn't there he thought that even if he was out front and center as much as he was that loyalty would be respected until the end i will say his final thought on josh that i wouldn't be angry to see josh play this game again i think he's one of the better players we've ever seen on australian survivor the big issue for me though is that i think people will look at him and they will say that he's not the most entertaining player and i don't know if that is due to the edit or if that is due to him just not being a very entertaining person in general he does seem like a really nice guy him and mark are kind of similar like even though i respect mark's win and his game i don't think mark is the most entertaining player and i think he would admit that himself as well and they're kind of almost carbon copies of each other so i mean if josh was ever to be on another season if he was ever to come back i think he could do extremely well and he could potentially even win in a second try he did not have a bad game playing this his first time out there final thought number three
47 Shea becomes the challenge beast of the season she goes out wins four individual immunities she was very impressive here in this final challenge where they had to plank while moving down this apparatus which would engage the core the shoulders that much more and i think as soon as we saw the challenge we all knew shea was gonna win this she's a yoga instructor she's in phenomenal shape and she ends up taking this one out winning her fourth individual in immunity challenge she's one at purgatory and i think that no one could say that they outplayed better than her this season she outright was the challenge beast of the season and it's funny how it's always the ladies in general that stands up in these seasons and become the challenge beast australian survivor really suits females in general when it comes to these challenges i also want shea to potentially be considered for the challenge australia and i know a lot of people are watching this video and they're like chris what are you talking about there is this new reality tv show that has been around on mtv for over well close to 40 seasons now the challenge and in the season it's all about your physical ability there's some social game there's some form of voting people out but i do think that shea's case shows us that you can't be one-dimensional in this game though even though you're physically a beast and you won a lot of challenges the jury here clearly did not respect the fact that she didn't have any agency in the game she didn't have the ability to
08 Motivate a vote to go in a different direction and i think ultimately that's what cost her final talking point number four here mark becomes our champion of blood versus water i picked up very early on in the season that mark was in a very good spot he came back to the season with a different level of focus i could pick up that he was trying to be the unassuming leader in the beginning where a lot of people look up to him and the challenges and he led by example i think he was physically indispensable to tribes early on when they were doing those tribal competitions but he really did work in the shadows and like he said allowed for someone like josh to be ahead of him who wanted to be the leader and he wasn't seeking fame this time going out there he didn't want to be seen as a great player he just wanted to win he had one target in mind mark to me played the perfect game and that's why he got also all of the votes in the end becoming i believe only the second player in australian survivor history to take a clean sweep of votes here pr being the other one which to me if i ever had to do my winner rankings for australian survivor would put mark very high possibly somewhere in the top three i would have to go and think about where i would put mark in that list of winners and maybe that's some off-season content that i could do i know a lot of fans will say he didn't play an exciting game but he played
28 The game that was effective a lot of the winners in my opinion that don't play exciting games are some of the most dominant winners out there like kim spradlin i wasn't excited by her game the first time i watched it was a very predictable boring and straightforward season because of the control that she had of that specific season similar to mark he said he came in he wanted to be in control of majority alliance he didn't want to scramble from the bottom because that would allow him to sit back and then react to things in a in a more slow and calculated manner which i think he did extremely well here with the people that he aligned himself with i mean mark's social game was that strong that josh was willing to risk his win to go up against someone like mark who also had an impressive game at the end that is impressive to see you know josh was willing to take bullets for him where jordy and jesse ultimately turned on josh because joss didn't want to take a shot at mark after he found out about the idol that mark had the one idol he had and then he realized that there was two idols in the game and he still protected mark which to me is extremely impressive some people will say that sam really added to his game and why he won and like he said you know sam and him they were one person playing this game and if one won the other one won but i do think that mark wins this season with or without sam i know it's a big call he did get that extra idle but that extra idol that he played wasn't actually
48 Even necessary at that point he wasn't going to be the one going home he only needed his own idol and i do think that sam rocked the boat quite a bit where some of his alliance members didn't always know if they could or wanted to work with her i feel like he would have been okay even without her now this doesn't mean that i don't respect sam's game and i just want to be clear there i'm gonna do a separate video of who i think the top five players are the players that i'd love to see come back and play this game again and sam may be in that list because i do think sam is someone that brought a lot of excitement and entertainment to this game i mean she was the entertainment that mark at points kind of lacked a little bit in this game but i really enjoyed seeing marx calculated and calm approach to the season as he dismantled everybody throughout the game and went to the end and ultimately outsmarted the person who thought that they were in control of this whole game he put them there on purpose and then took them out at the end i also like seeing that this game was more than just about the money for mark and that he went through a personal journey that i think none of us can relate to at least if you haven't been at war and that story about what happened to the person that he went out to war with and waking up next to the river i hope that he found some peace and that you know he's able to move on from that now and that he's got better memories after winning this season ultimately mark well done well played you're a great
08 Winner and a great representative of this season now final thought number five let's talk about the good the bad and the ugly of this season we'll start off with the good i think that the season was extremely fun to watch there was a lot of great players some of them were a little bit under edited at times i know and we may talk about this in the good the bad and the ugly but i mean you've had people here this season like jordy jesse sam nina khan shay at the end like all really and josh really good players you have to look at this and say mark winning out this should be even more so impressive that he beat players of this caliber very strategic socially good players a lot of fans who understood this game and somehow he got through this even with this massive target on his back but seeing the amount of impressive players this season go head to head in these immunity challenges and it not being a one horse race with somebody running away with those challenges and seeing how strategically people had to maneuver to get to the end i think that the season had an extremely strong cast i'm not too sure if i like the blood versus water theme and how it played out for this season but ultimately the cast itself you cannot deny was a very highly capable cast and they were enjoyable to watch
29 Now the bad for me the edit of australian survivor i know this gets talked about a lot and a lot of people will probably say why do we go into this again it's horrible for australian survivor it's the worst of any of the franchises i picked up that mark was going to win since believe episode 2 if you go back and watch the recaps and i pretty much stayed on that throughout the whole season because they made it so obvious to me that he was gonna win the amount of content he got and the lack of content that other people had so i don't think you need to take away from the winner's edit at all to have a good season but i do think you need to at least give us one two three or maybe even four false potential winners and at some point sam did rise a little bit and i started thinking maybe it's sam but then i thought it could also just be because one of the two is going to win sam's getting a great edit because mark's ultimately going to be the winner but i never really thought that there was anybody else in contention nina maybe for the first week looked good to two weeks but she also went missing so josh would have been the perfect person if he really ran this season as well as he did pre-emerge i would question why we didn't see more of him in the beginning because it would have left a question mark until the final fall as to who is ultimately going to win this season and i don't think i was the only one this season that picked this up a lot of casual fans spoke to me and said listen we know who's going to win this season
49 Because it's clear and it's one thing to have someone that's a student of the game and that analyzes the episodes and podcasts and talks about it to pick it up because they can see the trends after so many seasons but if your casual viewers think it's that obvious then clearly you're insulting the intelligence of your audience so think about for the next season if anybody from production listens to this i'm a guy with 500 subs i don't have a lot of subs but think about potentially adding more great character development into your seasons and making it a little bit more of a guess at the end as to who's actually going to win because one of the things that i think survivor fans enjoy it's kind of like pluto or who did who did the murder we want to figure it out but we don't want to know in episode 2 or episode 3 already who's going to win and then it's that clear throughout the whole season so something to think about i think it's the bad lastly the ugly the ugly for me the casual fans this season were horrible to people like sam probably sam got the brunt of it there's other people that also probably got a little bit of hatred online but to me cyber bullying being negative to players who go out there for our entertainment is never on and you've just got to think about it if you're a true fan of this show and you want to go play this one day is this how you would like to be treated if you were out there making moves playing a game
09 I know for a fact i wouldn't want to be treated this way prior to this season i would have maybe still considered applying for a season of australian survivor or survivor south africa in the future but to be honest with you i just don't think the juice is worth the squeeze to steal a punny from jlp it shouldn't be about personally attacking someone for their physical appearance or for something that they've done in the game it should be understood that this is a game and it's entertainment i know nobody that listens to this videos and that are interested in hearing people's thoughts about this season would probably care or be that type of person but it's never on and i was extremely disappointed at times this season to be a part of this fandom that attacked players personally and sam i hope that you know you move on from this and understand that this is a very small part of the community and hopefully we see you again at some stage in the future i personally would love to see you back on survivor but i would also understand if you never wanted to do anything with survivor in the future again due to that overall i don't want to leave it on a bad note it was a great season i enjoyed talking about it i will be talking some more about it and hopefully i'll have some castaways pretty soon on this channel to do some exit interviews which i'm extremely excited about if you only followed australian survivor at this point consider following this channel subscribing and liking it there is going
29 To be more content coming out in the future there will potentially be more australian content coming out i am thinking about doing recaps on the australian amazing race maybe something with big brother in australia where i do only short form videos i don't know if i'll have enough time for podcasting but i am considering doing other things for australian tv also on this channel but as always guys thank you for listening to a random guy on youtube talking about his thoughts on this final episode for australian survivor keep an eye out for that giveaway it's happening this week and as always guys catch you next time
