0:55 Welcome everybody back to the Nullified Take channel. We've got the TNT take for you on Australian Survivor. It is finale week and what a season we had. I'm so excited to get into it. But before we even start, before I introduce you to the other co-hosts here on this panel, I have something to reveal to everybody. This is the finale, you know, and the last time that I can play this little bad boy. I've been holding on to this little pouch here for the last 31 days, believe it or not. And I have not opened it up. It said open it up on the finale podcast. And I want to read something to you guys cuz I think this will be a game changer to the podcast. It says, "Power to evict. You have the sole power to evict your co-hosts and to replace them with a true Survivor expert." So, I've got to be honest, boys.

1:51 I've been holding back. I've been holding back this whole season and got a lot to say about your so-called expertise here on the podcast, okay? Mookie, you're out of here, mate. I vote to evict you because you're an alien simp. Get out of here. Corina. Oh, man. Mate, tying up here this season. Mate, tying up here this season. Into this one, you're still at the end of the day a Faris pretender. Get out of here. And Tim, what are you enjoying over there, Mr. Misogynist? Don't like Caroline, don't like Yuria, don't like any of the strong females this season. You're out of here. And let's bring in a true Survivor legend, a true Survivor Actually, it should be this. It should be threes, third place.

2:42 Mate, a lot of legends, a lot of legends have been third place when they've played the game. I believe even one of your favorite players actually ended up in third place, right? I've got Lex, I've got Rob Cesternino. I think Cirie was like the last one voted off in Fans vs. Favorites. The list is long and yeah, like if you if you don't win, I like coming third. Yeah. So, yeah, I'll take it. I'll take it. Listen, I just want to say thank you so much for being such a vocal supporter of the channel the whole season. You've constantly been on the lives. You've always, you know, been really positive to and I love the participation this season from all of the players that have been in the live. It's been really great. let me bring in my co-host. I'm not really Come on, Matt. Angry at the moment. Into the extinction, BABY. YOU'RE ALL MY allies anyways, you know? You don't want to be aligned with like Faris or anything.

3:33 You'll come back. It's all my Mark, with the amount of crap you gave me all season long about my crush for Eileen, like we're done, all right? I'm coming for you. Bring it. Bring it. Bring it. Yeah. Valarie is about to like but you're going to have a little red dot on your forehead and if Valarie is like across the house from She's going to She's going to snipe you. Is that the true reason you aligned with Valaria? You were like, "Listen, I've dealt with a lot of diplomatic situations in my life, but a Russian girl on Survivor, I don't I don't know if I want to cross her." Better to have her on your side. I picked up that much. I definitely did. Let's say hello to people in the live here because we've got quite a lot of people in the live. Kiwi Skater is there saying, "Woohoo, can't wait. Congrats to the winner who I won't name yet, but it was my pick." Chris all the way from Florida in the USA. Mark, she's been with us from day one.

4:24 I actually convinced her to go and watch Survivor Australia for the very first time. So, your season is the first season that she's ever watched of Australian Survivor. And she's enjoyed it as far as I'm aware. Snuffed also here, also a fellow YouTube content creator, someone that I've podcasted with before saying, "What a season. Looking forward to the live. Going to be a long 10-month wait until season 10." That is right. We're going to have to wait for a very long time. And then also, Andre Lee with $10. We appreciate you so much saying, "Congrats to Mark for making Survivor history by being the highest placing Survivor Carkus recipient of all time." Were you aware of the Carkus when you I'm assuming as a fan you were? Absolutely. So, I knew it, but you know what? Once I won the car, I was like, you know, this is a bit of added motivation. I like I want to I want to win and break the Carkus.

5:16 And me and Val cuz Val had won the 60K, right? And I'd won the car. So, like we were already the best pair in the in the I on the tribe. And I said, "You know what? If we both go to the end, we're going to break this." Val had no idea what I was talking about. I had to explain it to her. And then I'll get into later on I'll tell you what I was thinking if I made the final jury, how I was going to deal with the Carkus, but we'll get into that later. Yeah, definitely look forward to hearing about that. A lot of congratulations to Ferris here. People very happy for Ferris. yellow Ferris we've got Chris saying stuff good thing Alex isn't Matthew not an English one so put a shade just normal everyday sort of things here Chris looks so tiny there I know I know the camera is a bit further away than usual Kiwi but welcome let's say hello to our co-host properly we haven't actually spoken to them as of yet Mucky how you doing buddy I heard you've been trying to hit up Eileen earlier today and It's like going really well.

6:16 Really well you know I'm not one to really share you know my personal secrets on podcast but it's been going really well so far. here we go we're 5 minutes in and we're 5 minutes in. I can share one little snippet for people who are wondering you know will there be anything more here with Mucky and his love for Eileen you know obviously he made a song for her and I do want to share that if we you know do get Eileen onto the podcast for an interview which she has said she would do but I'm not holding her against it if she can't do it people get busy we do have something in the pipeline though and I do want to share a little bit of that at this point so everybody knows about it you can expect a full cover version from Mucky. And rumor has it Eileen actually took part in this madness she also did a part in this cuz she's also going to be singing on this album so there will be more from Mucky in the near future.

7:14 Mucky credit there from you. Eileen is such a good sport Mucky you're a lucky you're a lucky man. She indulges she indulges all of this She's got no idea about this I flew to Australia to watch Winnie the Pooh blood and honey too but then I randomly found a place took a photo of her randomly lying in that position and then I get it right so yeah so she still doesn't know about this yet. So, there will be more to come. His skin's hanging up just out of out of this shot. What's the lotion on the skin? Kunal, how are you doing, buddy? It's been a while since we last spoke. Yeah, I'm doing well, man. I'm doing awesome. I It's my birthday today.

8:05 What a way to have my birthday to spend it with you fine folks. And everyone in the chat. Yeah. Yeah, thanks you too. you owe him a happy birthday song. He's been podcasting with you the whole time. All right. All right. No, get rid of it, Remi. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Kunal. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday. Another hit right there. Another hit. Another one for the album. And in the meantime, Tom's still looking for that advantage that I found 31 days ago. He turned his camera off and he's out there hunting for the advantage. Eating some rice.

8:56 How are you doing, Tom? You good? Got some rice in my mouth, actually. Perfect timing. Perfect timing. This is where if you were on Survivor, they would just edit those shots out and it would look perfect every single time. You know, when you do a confessional as well. Mark, listen, we're so happy to have you on here. I know we're going to be talking about the finale, but we have to talk about your whole experience on Survivor as well to a certain degree. You know, definitely want to get into it. what was the process like for you applying for the show? Did you apply? Were you approached to come onto the show like Survivor Australia sometimes does? And how shocked was How shocked were you when you were like, "Oh, I'm actually going to be playing this game that I've loved for so many years?" Can you Can you if I was at work, you know, as doing my diplomatic work and Endemol Shine rocked up to me and said, "Hey, you want to play Australian Survivor?" No, I applied. So, I have This is the first time I've applied.

9:50 I've obviously been a super fan, watched every US season, watched I love Australian Survivor as well. And but the timing to apply in the previous castings just didn't work. And so, this time I was, you know, I'm 30 I was 35. That's definitely not middle-aged, but I was like, "I think I'm ready to apply." And so, I just did like a piece to camera, 3 minutes long, just like a confessional bang, told my story. And I told my wife, "Hey, like do you What do you reckon?" And she said, "You can apply, but there's no chance in hell you're going to get on. You chubby. Like you All of your social media accounts are set to private. You've got about 30 followers. And like you just not going to get on." And so, but when I saw my video, I was like, "Actually, this could be pretty good." So, yeah, it just rolled on from there.

10:41 I focused in on my kind of former diplomat line, and that worked. And then yeah, once it happened, it was just like I said to my wife, "Look, I told you so. You didn't back me." But I got on, so that was Now, she was a awesome supporter, so it was very cool. And then yeah, obviously, you know, it's just a bit of a whirlwind there, you know, once you get the get the call. I unfortunately had to resign from my job, which is why I'm a former diplomat. I just couldn't get the two to work at the same time. But yeah, but then it was amazing. Obviously, like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And then obviously, to come Spoiler alert, third. It's pretty awesome. So, yeah, we can get into it. But yeah, no regrets at all. And yeah, Survivor you know, I come out with come out with a lot of great mates. Pretty much pretty much everyone. And yeah, got a car, you know, so I don't come away empty-handed.

11:34 Yeah, that's amazing. you know, obviously you go on to the show, you go and play Survivor, which is such a dream like even for someone like myself. I'm very I can see my a little bit of myself in you, to be honest, Mark, because I can too. I can too, Chris. Yeah. I can I can see you. Yeah, I don't Well, listen, this is why we were so good at the game, you know? Like is it really like, "Yeah, Chris, you and me, you know?" the fans was his favorite season. Watch out, everybody. It's a done deal. Mark and I will go to the end. But no, listen, I do see a bit of you definitely of myself in you because I was a fan I'm about your age as well. I'm 36, you know, so you know, for me I was a fan from way back as well. I watched the first season. I was a big Alex fan. We spoke about that pre-podcast. So I feel like we've had the same sort of journey and it gives me hope that, you know, I can go out there, join this middle-aged mafia as well, play the game, and hopefully be successful at it. so, you know, and I did the same thing. I did a 3-minute video this week. I applied for the first time for Australian Survivor, so fingers crossed.

12:27 Let's hope that it goes somewhere. I know that Tom and Moki will probably be putting their applications in as well. Tom, how's things going? Have you been Have you been actively out there applying, or did you actually just forward last week's plea with the producers to put you on? I don't know where you're getting the impression that I'm into Australian Survivor, Chris, but I think you got me mistaken for someone else. 100% 100%. I mean, you only have the bath, you know? Such a koi What a koi boy. Trying to keep it mean. Yeah. I don't even care if I get on really. Yeah. Yeah, it's not it's not like it's not like you've got your phone on loudspeaker at all times. Like, you know, you're not putting it on silent or anything during the day. No, I Yeah, no messages from anyone. All good. No, listen, Mark, obviously you get on to the show, you go to play, and I feel like a lot of things that a lot of players probably don't prepare for, and even though I know that the heat is going to come, I'm not sure if this is something that you even realized.

13:28 How was the fan reception? What was it like getting people talking about you, making predictions about, you know, how your game would turn out, and you know, like we were those fools as well. Like we had our own predictions pre-season where we said, "Hey, this is how people are going to play. This is what they're going to do." We were right with some, we were very wrong with others, and I do have in fact, I don't have it open at the moment, but I'll get our predictions pre-season cuz I feel like it'll be pretty interesting to go back and look at what we said prior to the season actually starting. But what was it like sitting on the other end of that, getting so much fan opinions throughout the season, and even before the season started? Oh man, it was awesome. And we were I mean like Ferris, me, Eden, Eileen, a handful of others, we're all watching, and we're cracking up. We are cracking up cuz like everyone was like, "Mark's going to be He's going to be like a politician. He's going to say that he's a different man." That's the That's the No, because I know I know at this stage that I come third.

14:23 So I'm sitting back being like, "Bring it on." And so yeah, That's That was our predictions. So like we I think I actually think we didn't do too bad, and people might think that we knew something. We knew nothing. We had Ferris Ping as one of our two potential winners, Winna on the other side, and obviously we'll talk to you about what, you know, you had a very special relationship with Winna, and we could probably talk about that in a little bit. But Mark, we had We had you in the post-merge. We didn't underestimate you coming into the season. Yeah. Peter's post-merge is well I see. That was definitely wrong. You're going to need to You're going to need to point out where we had him wrong. Well, you've got Ferris Look, you've got Ferris there, so that's pretty amazing. So well done. No, we loved it. Like and as and you know, we're I think this season everyone was pretty a good sport, you know, and I think that showed in the game that even though we would backstab each other, I think everyone had a bit of respect for each other that we could always come back and I mean you know like sometimes me and Carolina got pretty dark there for a few moments, but in general we're all pretty good sports.

15:31 So you know it's very I was very great I'm very grateful for the edit that I got. I think it's positive. Yeah, there he is my boy and then obviously I think it's quite positive for me. Some people caught a bit more hate so I didn't have to experience that but yeah Can you can you can you call out can you call out a few people here that may have been pretty hard on certain players during the season like maybe a little bit cold some would say. No look I think as a player we all know the games that we played. We've got a good everyone has a good support network around them and most of us understand that this is like analysis from you know experts We never called ourselves experts and in our defense we never called ourselves experts.

16:22 He was an expert at giving everybody the kiss of death every single time HE SAID THAT AND THEN YOU TRIED TO CURSE ME AND IT DIDN'T WORK which is great. The one time I was being strategic about it and stuffed up so Yeah I think I think we all understand that especially a podcast you know you don't have to you don't have to listen if you don't want to. So I think I think it's all good in the hood and as a crew as like a crew of players you know I think when someone when something a bit rough happened to someone we would all reach out to them. So it's a good community we're bonded for life us players. So yeah it's all good. Yeah we definitely have a few people here that already have said that you know you were someone that they were shouting for 35 in the middle age mafia that may kill me. So I'm assuming you know Chris I don't want to be I don't want to be speculating.

17:16 I don't feel like you're even in your 30s yet. I feel like you're in your middle 20s. You're very far from that. who else do we have here saying a few things? I just want to get a couple of comments up while we've got it going. We've got Australian memes back here in the life as well. Oh, Brandon. I you want a hat I owe you a hat. I'll get you a hat and here we go. Nice and a fellow baldy represent. Nice. There you go, Mark. You did a great job representing the What is it? Follicle challenge the community? Yeah. I get it. Yeah. ID says put it put you Survivor to shame. a lot of us feel like and I know you can't or you may comment as a player, but a lot of us feel Australian Survivor is currently the really the premier product. It's doing well. mate. It's not even a question. Yeah. Easy. What are you getting when you're talking to like old school Survivor players behind the scenes and you don't have to name names, but I know you're now a Survivor player yourself.

18:08 You've probably have had many a calls with more than one old school Survivor player. Is there like a bit of an acknowledgement in the old school Survivor community that Australian Survivor is now the premier show? I must admit like the new school players are also really positive, too. And so like I have felt the love I have felt the love from like season 40 Hold on, my hat's annoying me. It's all right. season 45 players have I have reached out, which has been awesome. Like the new old school players have been supportive. But definitely like the old school players, they are they're they can see how much they can see my weight transition and they go respect, you know? so yeah. Yeah, cuz we used to get you know, we used to have like Russell Hantz who, you know, went on to Australian Survivor and he would, for lack of a better term, talk Australian Survivor because obviously he got voted out very early on.

19:00 He wasn't very happy with that result. But he'd be like, "Oh, Australian Survivor is so much better. They get poured to lose out there." Like that's going to make a big difference to the strategy. there's food out there and things like that. Like he would those kind of things. But if you compare it to Survivor US now, which is such a sprint, what is it, like 26 days in? 26 days in, that's nothing in comparison to what you guys go out there and how tough it is. Like, can you maybe put some light in regards to what the ration cuz they don't really focus on the food situation too much, I feel like, this season on Survivor. What was the food situation like out there? I'll say, I think Ferris said it well in one of his exit, he said that there's less than you expect. There's less food than you expect. The weather is worse than you expect. It's more uncomfortable than you expect. So, obviously depends on your expectations, but it's not a lot. And you've also kind of got to guess. It's not like a black and white. It's not like a sort of fixed schedule, you know, it's like it's pretty vague in terms of when, you know, if when you're going to get your next sort of delivery.

19:57 So, I stayed I stayed the hell away from the food. I was like, Caroline, you go for it. Oh, whoever wants to do it, you can go for it. I'll make fire. I made a lot of fire. Making fire is good cuz you're actually practicing. but, yeah, the food was pretty complicated. And you just see the physical transformation. Like, we didn't eat cuz we didn't get flint. Obviously, we didn't get flint at the first awful reward challenge. and we didn't get it until after the we voted off Frankie, but then even then all of our wood was wet. And so, we didn't eat for days. So, yeah, it was a good start. actually kind of liked the challenge of it. It was kind of a bit of a sicko like that. It was good. but I do think as well the, Speak to me. Yeah, like with the you Yeah, just like you, Tommy. The, Like the US the you know, the new era Survivor players, they don't get food and that is a big that is a big really That would be really hard.

20:51 But then, what was I going to say? Something about Russell Oh, Kelley Wentworth. You want like someone like Kelley Wentworth, she's a big Survivor Australia fan. And I think she's got a pretty good sense of like the different styles of Australian of US and Australian Survivor. So, if Kelley Wentworth is a fan, then I'm a fan, too. Yeah, 100%. Anybody that is watching on Instagram live, I've seen that Aileen is on there as well saying hello. We've had Mariska all the way from Survivor South Africa joining as well saying we all wanted to first to win from the moment him and Raymond showed their acting chops. So a few Survivor players jumping on Instagram live. We can't see the comments as much as we do on the YouTube. It's a lot more automated on YouTube, so jump on over to YouTube if you want to have your comments read out while we've got Mark here on the show as well. I also wanted to bring up a question here from Oreo, which I think is a really good one.

21:42 Thanks Oreo for helping us here with the questions saying can we ask Mark how he felt watching the finale episode live knowing he was getting voted out third. Obviously so close. Really bad drama, Mark. Tell us about that pain, Aileen. Yeah. So it's funny because I know the result, right? I know the result and I've just won two bloody immunities. So my family and friends, they're like, "Holy he's going to do it." And so and so but I can't just be like, "What am I going to organize a viewing party with all my friends and family and be like, 'Hey, come watch me suffer in pain with my bald head and the awful hair screaming my guts out like the most guttural screams ever.' And then watch me get voted off. And then and then what? Watch like Paris win or so whatever.

22:32 So I what I did was I there was a fan there was a fan party in Brisbane. I was like, "Oh, let's just go to that." I had a party with my family and friends on the Sunday when I win the simotion challenge, which is pretty awesome. And so then I just tagged along to the fan event. I wrote I took my friends and family there. And you know what? I was actually really This sounds crazy, but I was so happy to see the pain on my face in that final challenge because obviously I've lived that moment in my head a few times being like, "Could I have gone a little bit more?" But then I saw it, you know, from a third person's perspective. I was like, "No, I was I was cooked. I was so cooked." And so it actually It actually made me feel Thank you, Kelli. It made me feel It just reassured me that yeah, I was the hats off to Ferris and Carolyn. Carolyn was a beast.

23:22 She was a beast through it and it was it was a tough challenge. So, it made me feel good in the end like they both beat me and then I came third and they both got the chance to pitch their case. So, at the end of the day, I have a lot of respect for them and there's nothing more you can do. You put yourself in the best spot. So, yeah, it's fine. Listen, when you like get third place, like yes, it's not the money, but you had the full experience. You were there right at the death. You gave yourself a shot to win the game. And one of the questions and I forgot who asked it, so apologies for whoever in the live asked it earlier on. I want to bring it back up. One of the live audience asked, was sport something that was big for you growing up? Did you do a lot of sport and things like that? Obviously, you were great swimmer out there, but you kind of peaked at the right time. You started winning immunities, showing that you're a bit of a threat even when it comes to the immunities. Can you talk a bit about your background and where you sort of found this? Because we didn't necessarily, coming into the season, think that you were going to be this challenge straight like you ended up being towards the end of the game.

24:16 So, I think it's two things. So, definitely, I grew up in Townsville in North Queensland. So, like you've got no You've got plenty of time on your hands and so I was playing soccer. I've actually played rugby union. Obviously, I swam. I've got two brothers, so we used to play, you know, pick up basketball all the time. We played cricket barefoot on the street. Obviously, I didn't build enough calluses on my feet, but I was trying. and so yeah, just like a lot of ball sports and that sort of stuff. But I think the skills like obviously, Kelli, she's a professional athlete, so those skills are at a particular level, but with my life experience, I've had high pressure moments and I think that mental not in the last challenge, but like that mental that ability to just like really focus and zone in and not get flustered. My man Farris, like shout out to him in the chat, but like the dude got flustered in most in half of the challenges.

25:10 He's like yelling and screaming. Listen, Mark. I feel like it's only fair if you're going to be calling Farris out, I think it's only fair we get Farris in on THE PODCAST THE CHAMP IS HERE. THE CHAMP IS HERE. WOULDN'T YOU agree with that, Farris? Sorry. I don't know if you heard, but oh, it's HR. You can fire that person. I'm so sorry. I'm like in a room right now and I tried joining like 50 times, but this Wi-Fi I noticed. in the hotel room was just disgusting. so, I'm connected to my phone. So, I'm so sorry if I disturb anything. I'll keep myself on mute if something happens. But yeah, sorry, continue, Marky. I was I was saying Farris they were asking me like why I was good at challenges and I said, "Yeah, I played sports, but a lot of it was mental." And I was saying how like you obviously dominate the last challenge, but I was like so frustrated.

26:03 Yeah, he was so funny. He was so funny. Great entertainment FOR YOU GUYS. CUZ IT was like if you stood next to Farris, you're at a disadvantage. He was like he was like, "Oh, this." and throwing balls and yeah. Yeah. They definitely didn't show enough of my little tantrums. I think at one point I think it was the ball one with the disc and you had to like do one of those ones. and I literally said to myself, I need anger management classes because I'm about to rip this thing off whatever it is attached to. I was getting so man. You can afford the You can afford the lessons now. All right. The whole The whole prize goes to just therapy and anger management classes. That's what we need.

26:53 We need you to be spending all this money on therapy so we get you back out there for All Stars 2, you know, for our entertainment. We need you. We need the money. I think I think there's a psychologist in Cairns that could be looking for work, Fe Ras, if you are Mark's mom. No, my mom. My mom. sorry to interject, Marky. I just wanted to say I love you guys. You guys were actually the first podcast I watched when like this whole craziness was happening. and yeah, me and Marky joined that first podcast and now it was amazing. Kahuna, I love you. Tom, Marky, Chris, I love you guys so much. So, yeah, no, this is so cool. Chris. We appreciate you so much. You won't know this, but you're only the second winner of Australian Survivor that we've had on the channel.

27:43 So, we've also had Mark on the channel from Yeah, from Blood vs. Water back in the day. Blood vs. Water. I can't even talk straight cuz Chris is on the channel. But, yeah, so he's also been on the podcast. but Chris, you're the second Australian Survivor winner to be on the channel. So, we're very excited to have you here. and you know, just you know, congratulations. We're very happy that you got to represent the season. You won the season, obviously. You know, Mark and yourself, you guys went head-to-head. So, I do need to ask Mark this question because I know the fans I know the fans want to know this and I could see a few people in the live asking this. Mark, you ended up going pretty hard on Fe Ras towards the end of the game here. You tried to sort of peg him and put him back in his place almost in front of the jury. Can you talk about that strategy and what your pitch would have been if you had to go up against Fe Ras in the end or did you see a scenario here where you would have probably not taken him and you would have rather gone against Carolyn?

28:34 What was your thought process getting into the end game here and going a bit hard on him? you know, like you said, you became the diplomat. there was no more Mr. Nice Guy out there. Yeah. So, good question. it would have been so much fun for a Ferris and Mark a head-to-head, but it was never going It was It was never going to happen. Like, I entertained Like, let's pretend that I win the final immunity challenge, right? I had thought about it. I'm like, "Okay, pros and cons be you know, considerate." But, I was going to take Carolyn. you know, for a range of different reasons. So, I tried to get in Ferris's head, but seriously, it was It was It was pretty tough, especially after especially after me going at him at the final at the final four, and I kind of showed Most of the times at Tribal Council, I was pretty reserved.

29:27 I chose my words fairly carefully. I didn't try and say too much. Whereas, like Ferris, like Valeria, curbs, Alex, they were enjoying like throwing hand grenades, like a bit of entertainment, and I wasn't really I didn't I That wasn't my style so much. So, the idea of at that final four Tribal Council was the jury had an expectation of me that was like this. They were like, "Okay, Mark's very like reserved. He's a diplomat. He thinks about his words really carefully. He's not too aggressive. He's likable. Most people liked me, but they didn't They had a certain expectation." So, when I went to that Tribal Council, I knew like, "Okay, Ray's probably going to go home cuz the dude can't make fire, and Ferris is never going to vote for Ray." Like, that's It's going to We're going to go to fire, and Carolyn's going to win, and we're going to be final three.

30:20 So, pretty much like, I need to start my jury And if I get to if me or Carolyn win, then I'm in the final, too. So, I need to start my jury management a bit now. So, I wanted them to just start to go away and go It wasn't about like convincing Ferris to do anything. I just wanted them to start to be like "What the Like, what? What is Mark doing? Like, have we What and then I just wanted this like seeds of doubt in their head cuz some people were like this is a bad move, he's offending Ferris. like Ray saying like oh this is a tactic for the jury and I'm like yeah obviously it's a tactic for the jury. Like this is important. We need to know this stuff. And I think that of course we're all doing deals to get ourselves to the end. But what I wanted to do was Kir- Kirby was pretty upset that Ferris you know, didn't take her, right?

31:11 And I was trying to just like play into this idea that Kirby may have had in her head. Maybe it doesn't work, right? But you got to try. That Kirby had in her head like at least Mark is acknowledging and can see he's not so stupid that Ferris is doing deals with everyone. Like Ferris did a deal, maybe not a deal, but like we had a agreement that we would go together to the end and then he didn't keep his end of the deal, right? And so at least by Mark calling it out and being aggressive, yeah of course we've all lied, cheated, stole to get ourselves to this point in the game. But Mark's aware of it and he's not afraid to call it out. So that's kind of the idea that like people on the jury maybe like that was stupid. But if at the end of the day it's me sitting there against Carolyn, I can say hey I wasn't afraid of Ferris. I like tried to knock him out at final four.

32:02 And Ray can complain about it, that's fine. But like at the end of the day they're still going to have to pick between me and Carolyn. And so it was all about just like trying to reveal to the jury at that point in time hey why did we bring Mark so far? Like the dude can speak. He actually is good at challenges. He should have been voted off eons ago. We let him get back with Carolyn and then you know, like obviously he struggled, but he's there and he's a he's a motion he's got a motion he's fighting hard. Cuz obviously the jury as well didn't see my immunity wins like apart from like the final five and then the final four. So, they don't see me balling my eyes out. They don't see me struggling at those challenges. So, I wanted them to feel and to connect with me at a deeper level cuz I think some of them saw me like a bit too cool. So, anyways, that's my long-winded answer and No, it's a great answer.

32:53 It's a great answer and I like that. Yeah, I like that. It highlights that you yeah, that you're not being dragged along, that you are seeing the bigger picture. But, when I when What my reaction was, if I'm going to be the expert and analyst Yeah, hit me. Bring it, bring it, bring it, bring it. I was like I get it, but now he's just shown the jury how good Feras is at playing both sides. Like, he's making Feras look smart as well. Yeah, so, I agree, right? But, in my mind, the only way that I win is if cuz I'm sure Ray's gone. Ray's gone cuz he can't make fire. But, Feras, you've laid the groundwork. Yeah, that's it. Like, and then if Feras takes me at the end, then he's never going to do that, you know? And I'm going to take Caroline, and Caroline's going to take me. So, for my Once you get that, only at like final five or four, I don't know. I'd be interested in what Feras thinks, but it's only really at that point in the game from my in my from my perspective that you can really actually see your path to the end.

33:49 Like, six, seven, eight, it's like Especially this season. I just called it out. Yeah. This season was like one of the most fluid seasons that I've ever seen off and I've watched all of it, right? And this was just You can never tell. I mean, you and Caroline had this rivalry, then you're aligned, then you're against each other. Feras and Kirby at one time were going at each other, suddenly they're working together after they've taken each other's allies out. Like, there's just not been another season like this. and I want to ask you, Feras, as someone who was sitting on the other side of Mark sort of outing your game a little bit there at that point, what did it feel like for you? Because for us as an audience, it kind of didn't like it almost showed like he was just taking it in, but you weren't really responding to it much. Was that a true reflection of sort of how that Tribal Council played out or what was it like sitting on the other side getting some of this fire coming your way? Did you expect it from Marky?

34:40 No. No, God no. I didn't expect it from Marky. Mark and I actually told this to Mark. there was no one as good as Mark that could actually get to me. No one at all. Not even Kirby. Mark was so talented and he knew people so bloody well. But at that moment I thought Mark was Yeah, I definitely didn't expect that and I knew it was obviously a play on the jury. He wanted to get the jury's attention and all respect to that. Like I would have done the exact same if I had the opportunity. But the thing with Mark is he My weakness for Mark was how nice he was to me. And I don't know if Mark understood that or not, but I did say that to him.

35:32 I said, "Mate, you're the only one that actually knows how to get to me." And that I could work with because that's my soft spot. So the second that happened at the Tribal Council and this fiery part came out of Mark, I was like yeah, no. This if anything for me, this is firing me up way more than it should because the only way to get to me is to kill me with kindness, which what he was doing for four. And at that moment at Tribal Council, he just lit something in me and I knew it was obviously all for the game and it wasn't anything personal at all. but that sort of helped me sort of channel my like I need to vote Mark out or I need to get past Mark or I need to beat Mark in a challenge. I'm not sure if Mark knew that or not, but yeah, no.

36:24 It was definitely unexpected. I didn't expect it and props to him. Like, he saw the shot and he took it. so, I respect gameplay like that. I love it. I'll never take anything to heart, and by all means, you want to out someone or call someone out, that's the game of Survivor. It is what it is. So, no, definitely didn't expect it from Mark, cuz he's such an amazing soul. but, that's a part of the game. That's why I love it. Now, we Ferris, this whole season we're very high on you. And you know, you know, even when we did our preseason, yeah, I asked Mark what it would feel like being on the other side. Do you suddenly get fans talking about speculating how your game's going to turn out? This was the preseason predictions that we had. this. I remember this. I watched I actually watched this with my family live. I remember when you when everyone when I think Kahuna was the first one to say Ferris. And then everyone's like, yeah, Ferris.

37:14 Ferris. And I was like, oh, this is amazing. This is incredible. Like on all the other podcasts, I'm like, bloody the first boot out. And then I was like, everyone's like, yes, Ferris. Ferris. I was like, yes, cool. I love these podcasts. SO, THIS IS he was surprising on one part. Like, I when I first looked at it, I laughed, because you guys couldn't be more accurate, but inaccurate at the same time. We had like Yeah, like for example, you know, Jessica was spot-on, but Kelly wasn't. And like, Winna wasn't, but Alex is definitely spot-on. So, like it was a very interesting like pick is that what you call the draft? Yeah, it was like a draft. Yeah. so, yeah, it was really enjoyable to watch. But as far as I can see, it's almost like Pretty good, like that.

38:06 I feel like the one I've seen. I feel like the one that we got wrong the worst was probably Kirby. Like, I think we were very like, at one point we were thinking Kirby was going to be the first boot. I remember thinking that. I remember thinking that. And when I saw Kirby there, I'm like, you guys have no idea what Kirby's about. It's all. It's amazing and I love that. And I think that's the fun part of the game as well. That's what I love. I love having these like ideas of players beforehand and then being proven wrong when the season actually plays out. I can imagine that's what it's like when you go out there and you meet people for the first time. You get those first impressions and then that's not always accurate when you get to know them at a deeper level. I do want to bring up Chadude's comment. Chadude, thank you so much for the $5. We appreciate you. he's got a question for both of you. I think Ferris, you go first. did you expect you know did you think that you could beat Kirby at the end cuz that was probably the thing I feel like I was the most critical.

38:56 I don't know if you saw that love. I was like if Ferris takes Kirby to the end based on the edit that I'm seeing, he's a fool for doing it if it's going to happen. And I thought for a second that Kirby was going to get you. She was going to do this whole sister, you know, thing with you and you were going to bond with her and she was going to be like let the best two go at the end. Was that ever in your mind? Were you actually considering taking her to the end at any point or did you know that your only way to win was to take her out from the start? Yeah, so Yeah, no I never planned on sitting next to Kirby for obvious reasons. She's an amazing player, but that wasn't the main reason. For me, I personally didn't think Kirby had an like an incredibly like amazing game compared to me. I thought it was really close. but me and Kirby are so different in the sense that Kirby's moves are a lot more self-explanatory.

39:51 Like to a jury. Most of the jury have seen what Kirby has done. whereas when it came to me, a lot of the jury didn't really see, you know, the whispers you know, tribal council when Eden got voted off or they didn't see how much of the winner vote I was a part of or they didn't see a lot of my moves. They didn't see me infiltrating the female alliance. And how do you even explain something like that to a jury? So, the way I saw it was Kirby had moves that she could easily display to the jury where with me it would take a hell of a lot more explaining and a lot more backup that I needed on the jury for everyone to be like, "Okay, yes, Ferris did do this. Ferris did do that." So, we were such different players and that's why I thought, you know, I would rather not sit next to Kirby cuz if it comes down to the final speech, she's got a lot more credibility because everyone's seen what she's done.

40:46 Whereas in with me, I have a lot more explaining to do and a lot more groundwork to do. And that's why I yeah, I didn't want to sit next to her at the end cuz I didn't want people to give me a hard time about my moves. and I had no intentions of sitting next to her at the end. It did hurt though. It did hurt and it was tempting because I'm all for the entertainment. I love giving people what they want and in my head I'm like, "That'd be awesome. The final two, Kirby and myself." But no, I had no intention of sitting next to her at the end. If Even if I did save with the idol, I would have gone for her the next Tribal Council. Mhm. And it was Listen, it was just the way that it turned out with you having that idol walking up there saying, you know, "I'm giving myself permission or to believe in myself." Like, you can't script these things. This is why Survivor's been on the different, you know, countries, different regions have had it for over 60 seasons. It's why it's successful no matter where it goes because that's just such an authentic moment and I was I was living through you.

41:41 I could tell that it was hurting you, but you were backing yourself and it would have been gutting to see you fall short after backing yourself like that, you know? Hun- 100% and I want to also commend the Mark for his little whispers as well because I think it was very obvious I was still trying to decide. at the end of the day again, I did want to take her out. I just didn't know if he was going to be that day or not. And Mark with again, the man can like analyze a person and really get to someone. And all I needed to know was Feras, don't be an idiot. Don't be stupid. Don't play your idol. And that's all I needed to hear. I didn't need a huge explanation. I didn't need any of that. I already thought of all of that. I needed someone to look at me and be like, Feras, don't be an idiot. And that's exactly what he did. And I think that was like the lightbulb moment where it's like, yeah, okay.

42:32 I needed I needed to hear that. I needed someone of reason to look at me in the eye and be like, don't be an idiot. Don't play your idol. And I think from that moment, I was like, okay, he's right. I can't play it for her. So, all props to Markie on that one. Markie, same question for you here. You had a very interesting relationship with Carolyn. I was team Mark as soon as she took that took out Viola because, you know, we love the Viola Valeria trial with yourself. And it became very contentious between you guys. You were going back and forth consistently. Did you ever think you were going to get this deep in the game with Carolyn? And how shocked were you that you were sitting with her towards the end? I know you wanted to take her to the end, but I guess, you know, just the way it played out with her being there so deep in the game. I was quite kind of shocked, to be honest, that the middle aged mafia, you know, except for Eden, made it very deep in the game.

43:23 Yeah. Before I answer that, I don't know if Feras if you can still hear. Yeah. I want to say if it was Feras the Kirby, right? And I'm on the jury. Yeah. I would I for me, I would have voted Feras. We still don't we Heard it here first. We still don't I actually this is the first time I've said that. we still don't know how that works, right? So, Kirby so Carolyn goes at four. That's Yeah, at five. Say I go at I go at four. and then I don't know, like yeah, then Ray goes at three. So, like there's probably not a lot of like big like claimable stuff at that point, right? It's like more or less done. But from my I actually knew Ferris's game. Like, I think I knew Ferris's game quite well, compared to people who didn't experience a lot of the post-merge game.

44:19 And as yeah, Ferris is right that I think Kirby's moves were very visible. And if Ferris could just articulate well enough, I think it would again surprise the jury a little bit. Like, whereas Kirby was kind of like, you know what you're going to get. And you're sitting like you should sit there at final tribal and she's like, "Got a great game. She's got a great game." But also at times as well, like I found that like, to be the best you want to beat the best. As someone who's not being considered in that like group by Kirby, I that left a somewhat sour taste in my mouth. Cuz I was like, I'm shining a light on you actually, Kirby. I think this is Yeah, you want to be the best, let's push you out in front as much as you want. and so we can vote you off. I didn't think that was actually very like I didn't think that was as sophisticated as Ferris's game, which was like I mean, they're both fantastic players, but I just liked the roundness to Ferris's game a lot more.

45:16 And yeah, like his ability to be cheeky, but also strategic and very heartfelt and really loyal to us well. So, like from my perspective, you would have my vote there, Ferris. in terms of In terms of No worries. In terms of Caroline, after Scott after Scott quit, love Scotty, but that was like that it's like a sliding doors moment, right? Me, Kirby, and Ferris were all on the same page to vote off as I understand it, to vote off Kitty. And so then, who knows what would have happened, right? And but because we didn't get to have a vote after Scott quit, I think my Caroline and Kitty found, you know, they obviously learned that they were going to go and then it became just a very toxic situation for a few days. And so, once we got through the winner vote, I was like, I need Valeria as my number one ally to really reconnect with these Titans, cuz otherwise we're just going to get picked off.

46:15 And so, once we got over that like the Eden vote off, again it was terrible and heartbreaking, I actually said to Carolyn, I think it was back then, like literally before the Aileen vote, it was like, "If we play this right, if we are mature enough, if we think about heroes versus villains, Simon and George say never close the door, like we're actually in a really good spot to take each other to the end to the end. And I think it's you got to take your hat off to Carolyn that she was mature enough after me I like I'm bloody hacking at her back with like a rusty dagger like day after day. And obviously I think the barbecue reward was massive to get Valeria and Carolyn and to see for Carolyn to see that I wanted that to happen. big moment, but it definitely is a two-way street forgiveness. And so, I think I think it was like really at that point in the game where it really actually didn't serve Carolyn's game that well, cuz she kept on turning on Paris.

47:15 All right. Paris is like, "What? We just voted off winner." And I'm and I'm like, "No, no, let's get rid of Aileen, you know." And he's like, "Bro." And then Carolyn you need to keep apologizing to Paris. And so, you know, like it was very good for me, terrible for Carolyn, but it worked. It worked. And then I think I think Carolyn and I had a very special relationship. We're both fans. We had a lot of just respect for each other. And so, despite Tom's hate for her, she was a great player. And Yeah. Boot Tom. Boot Tom. Goat. Goat. Goat. Ah. Listen to him. No, so I felt like after the I felt like we kind of like washed away our sins at that barbecue. and it was possible. Kitty was a bit harder, I would say. Like Kitty trust wasn't there as much, but Caroline was a different She was at a different level.

48:08 Yeah. I'm going to come back to you Mark in a bit, but first I'm really interested, you know, you had almost like, you know, your right hand person, the way that it was portrayed early in the show, voted out before the merge, right in Garrick. Can you talk a little bit about Garrick and like, you know, Kahuna was very tough on him in the preseason analysis and like I was wrong on that one, too. Yeah, cuz Garrick to me was a fun character this season. Can you talk a little bit about him? Like, you know, what made you want to work with him so early on in the game? And, you know, if he did make it to the merge, where would he have sat in your rankings? I guess with your own alliance, cuz you had Aileen and Ray obviously with you as well. Pick a child. Pick a child. Yeah. I actually got asked this before as well. Such a hard question to answer. But firstly, Garrick is one of the most incredible people I've ever met in my entire life. Like, I've never connected with someone like that so quickly as well.

48:59 So, all props to Garrick. I think if he made it past merge, he actually would have made it quite far. Now, in terms of where he would have ranked, Raymond's always number one for me. always. Raymond's, I just I had a love for Raymond like my little brother even though we're the same age, which a lot of people trip out about. But yeah, Raymond's, I just wanted to make sure Raymond was okay all the time. Like, even when I got when I was speaking about him in my confessionals, I would actually tear up about Raymond. Like, I had such a love for Raymond. it would have been Raymond, Garrick, Aileen. Only because Aileen I knew Aileen was going to take me out from Titan's Beach. I knew she wasn't 100% with me, but I wanted to keep her close.

49:50 So, Garrick pretty much told me that her and Scotty and Garrick himself were talking about taking myself and Kirby out. so, which is why, number one, I didn't listen to her when she told me to play my idol last minute because at that point I couldn't trust her. If Raymond told me, "Play your idol for Garrick." 1,000%. it is also why I didn't flinch when Kirby took her out and why I actually said, you know, "Better you than I." because eventually Aileen was in the gun for me. so, I knew that from Titans Beach and I wanted to keep it close. I trusted her opinion, but that's all it was. So, it would have been Raymond, Garrick, Aileen. Yeah. But, I still love her. Aileen's amazing. Yeah. it's like choosing between your children, right? So, I get it. It's very It's very difficult. Liam's got a question for you here.

50:41 Liam, thank you so much for the $5. Also, just before we read that, I have missed one other donation as well. Adi, thank you so much. I don't even know what currency that is and but I really appreciate the support and the love for the channel here. Indonesian rupiah. Rupiah. 1,000 in there. Thank you so much. Liam has I've got a question for you. He says, "Did you suspect that there was more to Kirby than what she was letting on during the game? Did you suspect she was an elite athlete and a coach?" I guess this is for both of you. Ferris will go you first. Did you Did you sort of suspect anything? honestly, in the beginning, no. But, when I saw her in challenges, like the small things, like the dodgeball challenge when she caught the ball like it was like she had glue in her bloody hands. Like, that woman is incredible. And her strategies, I started to think, "Surely there's more to her." And I think she even telling us that she's like a youth worker or something.

51:39 And I looked at her and I'm like, "This woman is such a strong player." Like, surely there's more to her, but I never would have suspected like an athlete or a coach. So, yeah, props to her for hiding that. Yeah. And what about you, Mark? Did you Did you suspect it? I can't say I called it. I definitely had the same reaction at that challenge. So, she caught the balls, it was like zoom like that. Crazy. and then the Viola when she outsmarted Viola on that one. Man, I wanted to see Viola tackle Kirby so hard. And I was like, "No! I was denied! I wanted to see them those two bodies smash together." But I think Kirby said that she was like a involved in a charity associated with one of the Western Australian AFL teams. And yeah, Jakey boy.

52:30 And so He's from the US He's my co-host for the US podcast, so Jakey boy from the US jumping in as well. Thanks for joining, buddy. Yeah, so I think that like I suspected she was around AFL. And if you're around AFL, then you're like you know, like it's like a career where you know, like you play AFL and then you go on to it. So, I suspected she was like in the orbit of it, but I didn't know that she was Carlton captain and I don't know I don't know anything about AFL, but yeah, I didn't Apparently, she was fantastic. So, and then it became as soon as she told me after the game, I was like, "Oh, yeah, okay. Explains a lot." Makes sense. That makes sense, yeah. I have to admit this, guys, but you know, it might have been a wee bit of a question does Mookie have feelings for Aileen? I just got to bring up here Aileen suspected that she was an alpha player in Jury Villa. She was smarter than both of you.

53:21 She knew WHAT WAS UP. I LOVE HOW ONLY MOOKIE CAN TELL the actual winner of Survivor that the person who didn't win Survivor was smarter than the person who won the show. And like Mookie's defending her like I have something against Aileen. I love Aileen just as much, thank you very much. But do you do you love Eileen enough to bring out Let me just I don't think we shared this one last time. do you do you love her this much though? I feel like for this is where he's got you beat. He's got an extended version of his song coming out very soon with Eileen. Eileen's going to be featuring on the SONG WITH HIM. AND CORRECT RESPONSE. That's incredible. Has Eileen seen this? Yes, she's a part of the song. She's a part of the song.

54:11 She's in the song. No, guys, you're forgetting. I went to Melbourne randomly to watch Winnie the Pooh but I didn't have any toy, found her place, took a photo in her bed just like that, and then I gapped it. Wait, is she actually a part of the song or you guys pulling my leg? No, she's actually going to be a part of the song when we when we release it. This is why we love Eileen. This is why we love Eileen. And me, it was my idea. Gosh, jeez. Oh, yeah. Shut up, you skin. Shut up. Hey Feras, can Feras can you do me a favor and further break Muffy's heart and tell him about my relationship with Eileen out there? Cuz that wasn't a joke. Yeah, no, it wasn't. These two I was actually I was getting jealous because yeah, these two were like two peas in a pod. Honestly, they were having their night chats. They were like always together.

55:02 So that actually there's beef, Muffy. Yeah. Yeah. And I was saying to him And you know, she would actually always take Muffy out of out of the votes and like I actually agreed with her cuz I knew Muffy eventually would be open to working with Eileen and I. So but Eileen definitely drove that. So yeah, they were quite close. So watch out, Muffy. Like so one of the funniest parts like of watching the season was I remember I checked my phone, I saw Mark had made a group chat, and he posted a photo of him wearing Eileen's pants and he just goes like take it monkey Listen, I want to I want to turn the tables. I want to turn the tables slightly here Mark and Ferris. We've been judging you guys the whole season. I want you to judge us a little bit on this podcast.

55:54 If we were to be casted on a season we're being asked that if we were to be casted what theme would we play in? but I think we should turn it around. If we were on this season in Titans and Rebels, who's the Titans and who's the Rebels of this podcast Ferris? And Mark, I guess both of you. You'd have to say Monkey's a rebel, I feel like. He just I feel like that's a dead giveaway. It's a dead giveaway. Okay. I think I'm a rebel. I think Chris would be a titan, Monkey would be a rebel, Tom would be a rebel. Kahuna is a hard one. Mhm. What about a hybrid? Yeah. Yeah, I would I want Kahuna as a titan. I want him as a titan. Yeah. Don't split Don't split me and Kahuna. Me and Kahuna we roll together. We've been doing this podcast for a very long time. So, I want him in the Titans tribe there with me.

56:47 But Mark, what theme do you reckon like is the most likely for? Do you think there'll ever be a podcasters versus survivor theme? Do we Do you think we'll get like finally the survivor players get to put these pesky podcasters in their place for judging them all the time? You know, do you think that's a possibility? It's the podcasters season It's the podcasters versus Jayden. Yeah. And he would still hurt all of us together. He probably still take us all in one hit. Like that guy was a beast. That's perfect. I love that Mark. I reckon I can take him in a hold bro. Easy. I was going to say it'd be the season they put all the ex-athletes on just against these podcasters. Everyone with opinions and a vlogger and all that. And then it's just it's athletes. Yeah. Like Monkey's already told me his item that he's taking with him on Survivor is his flute all the you know, he said you know what?

57:41 That's how he's beating everyone. That's how he's beating everyone in these challenges. voted out. Immediately Monkey. You'd get voted out immediately. No. It's all part of the Pied Piper strategy Ferris. Yeah Monkey. Let's see how that works out for you Monkey. I said I said that Monkey is reincarnated but if he takes the if he takes the bloody instrument he's on Kelly incarnate. That's something Kelly I didn't say all that. If I was on the Rebel tribe I'd be with my mom. You guys can see I've got my mom. Okay. Just imagine for the birthday ceremony you could have had musical accompaniment. Oh my god. boat like Yeah. He could have actually playing along with it. That was all Chris thank you so much. So Chris is just so everybody knows she's the moderator of the live chat.

58:35 She's going to head off to work she's in the US but she's this is her first season Ferris. I got her to finally watch Australian she's been a fan of Survivor US she's in the US. She's watched the US Survivor for years but this is her first Australian Survivor season and she says Ferris and Mark thank you so much for providing so much entertainment and officially helping me get into Australian Survivor. I will be watching future seasons to come. Chris thank you so much for jumping on so early. That's amazing and Danica coming in with $5 as well saying Mark were you worried in the back of your head that you wouldn't win because of the car curse? I think you're in second place because of the car win. I think Mark spoke about this a little bit earlier on but you can talk about it again I guess Danica maybe dropped in a little bit later on the live. Well I'll also address how I was going to try and manage it if I got there. So look winning a car there's no there's no prize for second by the way.

59:26 So Valeria won 60k, I win the car, I'm like, thank you very much. and now my mission is to break this bloody car curse. so, no, it didn't really scare me at all, but I was like obviously I was aware of it. So, once I got to, you know, final three, and I'm thinking, okay, let's pretend that it's me and Caroline, embarrassed as the bronze medalist, and I'm in that final tribal, and let's say that like I'm getting peppered. What are your all your moves? Bah, you're too quiet. You're forming too You think you know everything, but you don't. Whatever. What I was going to do at the end of tribal council, I was going to or towards the end I was going to say, "You know what? All of you jury members, you've been peppering me with questions for hours by now. You're on all big moves. Tonight, we can all collectively make one more move.

1:00:16 I've won the car, the car curse hasn't been broken. Vote for me, break the car curse, and make one big move. And if you don't bring them in, it's cuz you're chicken. And you're And you're actually not willing to make a move. So, step up. You know, like you want to talk a big game? This is your chance. We can all do it together, apart from you, Caroline, sorry. and do it. And like It's pretty I mean, it's What is a move? And I have to be a part of it?

1:01:06 Yeah. Yeah. Jaden would laugh his ass off. You know, Valeria's like, you know, Is Jaden on the car curse? Well, we would have explained it to him. Of course. We would have brought Jaden Hey, watch out, Mark. He may come for you on social. I hope he doesn't. I've got, you know, I don't think he's following me on socials, but yeah, no, so that's how I would have that's how I would have handled it. So, yeah. To be to be like to weaponize it, I think I would have wanted to weaponize it rather than hide behind it and be like, you know, like I would have addressed it and try and bring the jury in. It would have been a question of how aggressive how aggressive I was with it. Ideally, it's me and Val and then they don't like then it's like a even Stevens, but if it's just me and me and Caroline then I would have tried to do it and with a bit of cheekiness, too.

1:01:57 I'd be like, I would have called Fez out. I would be like, "Fez, man, you like you like that cheeky face and you're not going to do this?" I'd call out I'd call out all of them. I'd call out Eileen as a super fan. You're like, "You want to sit in the You want to sit on the back seat? The back seat that you want to sit on in the eyes of the jury, like get in, you know?" So, that's what I would have handled it. Sorry. I reckon that would have worked. That would have worked, honestly. We've got We've got so many good questions coming in and a few more donations that I will bring up very shortly, but I've got a question that I want to ask Fez before I forget about this because I actually forgot about it. I wanted to ask you earlier, Fez, because we've got so many great questions being asked by our live audience. The best move the biggest move you made this whole game was when you helped Ray find your idol in front of Mark and Carolyn to obviously throw them off. Like it was up there. only once have I seen another Survivor player kind of do something similar in the history of the show.

1:02:50 Are you aware who that player is? Do you actually know that another player did something almost similar to this, but just not with another player? Like were you a fan of the show? Where did you come up with the idea because it was very creative? No, so I was it a fake I know they made a fake idol and they I couldn't tell you who. I don't I'm too scared to go there. it's David versus Goliath Nick Austin. Yeah, he found it he planted it in front of them and found it him like himself, so that they could stop looking for an idol. last season. Oh, that's Sorry for spoiling you. Yeah, no, that's okay. That's all right. Yeah, no, that's awesome. I do want to add that cuz this wasn't actually put in the edit, but I the parchment, everything that came with the idol, when I first found that, I think it was on like day 13, I hid those remains underneath a rock somewhere in the forest.

1:03:47 And I was like, one day, I don't know how I'm going to use it and what I'm going to do with it, but I might need it. And thank God we came back to Rebel's Beach after merge because it was still sitting there. At like that day, I was like, oh my god, I know exactly what I need to do. And I ran into the forest and I saw it underneath the rock and I was ecstatic. So, once I found that and I knew I had those the parchment and everything with it, I came back and I was like, I've got an idea, right? Let's do this. and yeah, no, it ended up working and like I don't see how it wouldn't have worked because, you know, it's number one, it's the last time you can play an idol. I don't think, you know, Mark or Carolyn would risk not would risk putting Ray up. And also like it everyone was looking for idols. Everything was there. The idol was in there.

1:04:38 Everything was there. So, why wouldn't you sort of believe it? I would have believed it as well. but yeah, no, it's a move I'm pretty proud of. I think you it's creative and I think that's what makes the game fun. Yeah, no, I applaud it. And Mark, I have to ask you while we're on idol talk at the moment, you know, you did something that was also very unheard of in Survivor and you just broke your way into one of those boxes. You didn't wait for the key. Did production talk to you about it? Like I don't know if you can talk about it or not. If you can't, just say you know, I can neither confirm or deny like a proper diplomat would do, but you know, can you talk a little bit about your idea of just breaking through the box and the inspiration to get this idol? I love this question. But, my preference, my preference would have been So, this is this is even more interesting. when Ferris was like taunting us with this box, obviously I found the box, and then every single time I went to a challenge, I stood on the rebel side of the mat.

1:05:40 I always stood on the rebel side of the mat in case there's any funny business between Nathan and Alex or whatever. but I So, but I was also trying to like just be as close to them and make eye contact. And I see Ferris, this bloody little kid's pocket, trying to catch Kitty's eyes. Kitty's off like looking at the challenge, not paying attention, and I'm like I'm like sussing Ferris out. I'm like, "Okay, he's got it there. I just need this bloody key." Doesn't see me. We do the entire challenge, and as they're like walking off the rebels are walking off, it must have been I know Ferris remembers this. It must have been like 50 m across the across the bloody challenge. I'm just staring at Ferris, like just looking at him, trying to catch his eye. He turns over his shoulder like this. He's like He's like this. He catches my eye, and I'm just like that. And Ferris goes And he goes, "The Mark's got it." Like 50 m away.

1:06:34 And then the next challenge were the back-to-back leaning thing, and Ferris and me and Eden and Winner all sit out, and we're not allowed to communicate, so we couldn't Ferris couldn't give it to me. And then in the water it's too hot. So, my preference was to just get the bloody key. And then eventually it got broken open. So, yes. It's amazing. Sorry, just to add to that, I think we can speak about this whole key box story for about an hour. There is so much behind it. but yeah, we'll I think we'll just leave it at that. But yeah, no, definitely when I saw Mark look at me and not, I was like, okay, look, if Kitty isn't looking at me and her attention isn't around the game, I don't think I even want to give her the key to be aligned with her. So, if someone like Mark is smart enough to look at me and notice that, okay, he's the perfect candidate of it.

1:07:28 If he's that aware, I want to be in alliance with someone like that coming into merge. I'd love to give him the key. It's just it was so hard given the opportunity to give him a key without anyone else noticing and just creating an unnecessary target on my back for no reason. Yeah, no, that's fair. And one more question on idols before I bring up some of the cuz we've had a couple of donations come in that I do want to read out. Ferris, you had a brilliant moment, one of the fun probably one of the most fun moments I feel like on the show was when you were sent back to camp to go look for this idol with the rest of your tribe and you immediately saw it. Immediately, which again, I said at that point, I think we put a clip out to say, "Guys, this is why the game is not rigged." Certain people have got the skill, they can see the idols, they find it. We've seen it now on Winners at War, same thing happened there with Ben Driebergen who was good at it. He taught other people how to find idols. how frustrating was it for you and how much did you have to control cuz I know everything in your in yourself would have probably been like, "I need to grab this.

1:08:25 This is more power for me." How difficult was it to contain yourself and to make sure that you didn't continue to create a target on your on your own back so that you could have this additional shield in the game that now also becomes an equal threat to you because it was a brilliant move. I feel like it's an understated move that you did. probably one of your top moves of the season. Yeah, sorry, just to con- confirm, this is the one that I gave to Alex, that we talked about. yes. Yeah. Yeah. So, it was a very unorthodox play to see it from the outside and I think 90% of people didn't agree with it, but for me it was it was my in with Kirby. It was the move that sort of put everything behind us. because the second I gave that to Alex, I was like, "Okay, information is key in this game. I just need to go up to Kerby and say Alex found the idol.

1:09:16 Say nothing about me giving it to him, and it'll start to build some trust going into merge." So, that was one reason why I did it, but it was so bloody tempting to just grab it, put it in my pocket, and run. number one, I didn't want to find it in front of Aileen or Alex because Alex I noticed will just spoil everything out. So, I'm definitely not finding anything in front of him, 100%. and it is a lot harder to be a bit sneaky with finding it as well. like it looked so much harder like in person than what you saw on TV than to grab it and to put it in your pocket because the shelter wasn't that big, and we're all in the shelter. So, it was almost impossible to for me to get away with it without anyone seeing. So, I was like, "Look, the second best option is give it to Alex, and let's just make a new target. Keep the target away from me because I know Kerby has an obsession with people with idols, and I knew she didn't really want to work with Alex that much, so it would create the perfect target, get me out of the heat a bit, and also create a new ally." So, that to me was so much more valuable than just an idol.

1:10:21 I already had an idol in my pocket, so it was good. I also Definitely. Now that I think about it, maybe your best move, maybe even better than the right idol play because it was so the subtle move. Yeah. Yeah. I only I only found out about that at final tribal council, and it was definitely in my vote, yeah. Awesome. I'm glad I did it, then. Chadude coming in with the $2. Thank you so much. Chadude saying, "What returnee season theme would Ferris and Mark be in?" I personally think Ferris would be great in a winners at war season if we ever get enough winners going out there. I think it's a perfect season to go back, and I think any winner should want to play against the best of the best. And Mark, like if I had to put Mark in one, I'd say Second Chances just seems right, you know, to go out there and try again to get there. But I'm more interested, what would you both like to play and like you know, Mark if you were to go back and play another season, I know you'd play any.

1:11:15 Imagine you play any season now that the bug has bit you and you've been out there. But what theme sort of resonates with you? I mean I want to play against you boys, Fans vs. Favorites, let's do it. You've been talking about it, talking in the chat, let's do it boys. Fans vs. Favorites by the way, I've made peace with the fact that if I was able to play, if I was lucky enough to play, Fans vs. Favorites is the one season that I actually wouldn't want to play cuz I feel like you go into such a such a good season. We want to bury you. It's all right, it's all right. Challenge accepted. I will not say no if I was asked to go and play Fans vs. Favorites production team. Harrison, what season like Winners at War obviously is up there. What about a global showpiece like Best of the Best with all the best, you know, stars from different franchises, South Africa, you know, the US, whatever other countries you can think of, New Zealand, maybe bring a couple of the European countries in.

1:12:07 Would you do something like that? yeah, get me in a global season. That would be amazing. I would love to show America how it's done, honestly. Like it would be so good to like to vote like a huge player out. So like to me that would be amazing and I love again, I think you guys will see like I love representing my culture and you know, Australia is also a part of who I am. So I'd love to be like representing Australia in something like that. That'd be incredible. Get me on that. You heard it. I think Mark would be really good on Survivor Game Changers cuz like most of the Game Changers cast he did nothing. So except for wearing Eileen's pants, so He's just salty, Mark. He's salty. And her pink shirt at the final four.

1:12:59 Yes. Yes. Really rubbing it in. Really rubbing it in. Mark, he's going to be crying in his pillow tonight, Mark, after All right. Talking about just before Tom, I'll come back to you in a sec. Just before we go in there, talking about Survivor South Africa, we've got a Survivor South African player in the live here, Tony Taboot, from Survivor South Africa Philippines and also from Survivor South Africa Return of the Outcasts. She played twice saying, "Ferras and Mark, are you aware how popular you all are in South Africa? Ferras, we were all rooting for you. Come visit South Africa." Thank you so much. That's amazing. I No, I had no idea. It's crazy. I've been getting messages from so many different countries, and countries that I've never heard of before. So, like to hear that again, like South Africa. Holy crap, that's amazing. Thank you so much. Love you, Tony. That's crazy. What's her name?

1:13:49 Tony Taboot. The No, no. There was some lady who had like I think she was the last person voted off. She had like a skin thing. Oh, yeah, Marian. Marianne de Vos. She reached out to me and gave me so much love and support. So, Marianne, sorry I like Sorry, my her name just escaped me for a second, but she I must admit if you're if you're if you ever see this, Marianne, thank you very much. I did appreciate a lot of her support. I looked her up, and apparently she's like extremely well, so She's pretty cool. Yeah, she's she's a very good player. Definitely one of the best players in Survivor South Africa. And you know, very definitely she will see this because we have like being from South Africa myself, you know, I'm very definitely I'm in the Survivor South Africa fandom circles.

1:14:40 We've got a WhatsApp group that have been popping off. I haven't been reading any of it. They all know that you guys are both on the live, and there is a lot of Survivor South African players in that WhatsApp group as well. So, they know you're on, so I'm sure she'll see it at some point. Someone will send it to her. That really touched me a lot. Thank you. That was really cool. I felt You feel the love from the other players. Like, some of the Survivor UK players reached out and the US guys, they were pretty cool. So, yeah. Yeah. Sorry, Tom. I know you wanted to ask a question. Back to you. I was just going to say, did anyone think coming into this season that out of all the players Mark was going to be like the rizz king? I mean, he had Viola. He had Valeria. He's wearing Eileen's pants. I mean, his partner at the end, like, should I shave my head, Mark? Should I just do it? Like, cuz this isn't working. This is not working. I need some role models in my life.

1:15:31 Give him some advice. Give Mark give him some advice, and don't give all your best ideas away, cuz I know similar to George, there will be a book coming out very soon about how to rizz people on Survivor. What you need to do, Tom, is stack on a lot of weight before you go on. And be just chubby as all hell. Wear a Wear a suit jacket that makes you look like a and then and let that inner confident shine, buddy. That's all you need. Love that. Sounds good to me. Honestly, I'm so like impressed like at your transformation throughout the season, cuz I do remember in the first episode like you looked very different and at the end you're like so skinny. Like, it was crazy. I was I was a thumb with the face.

1:16:21 That's what I was. They asked me to They asked me to do that promo shot. They're like, "Like, chin down." I'm like, "No." Yeah. We're all like, Put the camera higher. No. I guess women love thumbs. That's what I'm getting at. there. We've got Survivor now in the house as well saying, "Ferris, funny seeing you here. How are you doing, champ?" And then also saying, "Good luck." "This is an iconic duo, Mark. Do you still think you could beat Ferris?" I don't I don't know if Ooh, that would have been a tough It would have If Ferris and Mark went up in the end, I feel like with the edit, you know, you mentioned earlier, Ferris, they didn't show you when you got frustrated, you know, in the challenges. That's called the winner's edit. Like, they're not going to show your moments where you're like, you know, maybe No, I wanted them to show that. Yeah, I mean, it would have been endearing to people like myself cuz I know I would get frustrated.

1:17:14 I mean, listen, I was with you when you were like, "I need a steak." That is like my dream food if I was on Survivor. And then when you got done dirty Don't remind me. Mate, like I was I was feeling your hurt. I was feeling your hurt through the screen. But, you know, it makes me feel better because I literally had steak for dinner in the past like 3 days every single day, including tonight with Kirby. So, yeah, no, it's Yeah, I've made up for it. I've had like hundreds of steaks ever since. I was going to I was going to say, I feel like, you know, obviously for us as an audience, we know we know, Mark, you had a very good game and that they showed a lot of your game early on, but you kind of disappeared in the edit a little bit towards the merge because ultimately, if you're an astute fan of Survivor and you've watched a lot, you would have been like, "Oh, I feel like the level of gameplay that Mark has within him, they would have shown us more of some of the strategy that's going behind if he was truly going to win this show." So, I kind of discounted you for the win towards the Towards the end, I was like, "Oh, wow, is he going to really convince Ferris to vote out Kirby and then take him out with the immunity win?" So, it's a shock when at the end, you know, obviously, there was you know, it would have been great to see what it would have been like.

1:18:19 What would have the jury have been like if both of you got to the end cuz you had a lot of friends on the jury as well. Like, hypothetically, if both of you sat there, do you think it would have been a close vote between the two of you? I mean, I guess it's for both of you. You'd be confident in your own game, but what are your thoughts on that? Mark, I guess. Ferris is the favorite, for sure. He's the favorite. He's definitely the favorite. His reputation across the tribe in general, I think, was better, and there were more rebels there. So, I think I think the some of the earlier stuff may not have been acknowledged as well. the only thing that I would have been backing myself on is my ability to pitch. And my ability to attack to attack Ferras. Now, Ferras if I attack Ferras, he's going to fire up and he'll attack me back, but I that life experience that I have, I think, just choosing the words, finding the trigger points for each player, would have been what I really would have focused on.

1:19:20 And but Ferras is the favorite. And to be honest I feel I feel bad even sort of like putting myself ahead of Carolina in this position, cuz I think, you know, I really think she was a great finalist as well, but, you know, if we're playing this game, Ferras is the favorite, for sure, and I would have really had to pull out all stops at final tribal. And don't forget like so Ray's backing for Ferras or, you know, he'll be there vocal for the area, and Alex would be on my side, I think, pretty confidently. Kirby would have had a lot of influence over Re and potentially Jayden, too. And then I was I was consistently targeting Mookie. You're going to love this, Aileen. I was always every when Kirby was going at Ferras at the final five tribal council, she was like, "Are you Who's afraid to sit next to me at the final tribal council?" And what I they didn't show this, but I piped up and I said "Kirby, were you afraid of Aileen when we all when we all voted her off and sent her to the jury?" No, you weren't afraid of her.

1:20:26 You weren't afraid of her. You sent her to the jury for a reason. We vote off big players. It's not It's not fear, baby. We want to put you there. I know. And so, that was that was that was again Mark breaking being bad boy Mark or not bad boy, but like not disrespectful. Yeah. But like That's what That's what the girls truly saw in you. They saw that bad boy, you know, Valeria and Viola. I think women Okay, that's another Yeah, take notes, Tom. Take notes. I mean Beyond the girls on the island, both these men like the women they're married to, they don't need to worry about anyone on the island. Like Exactly. I love how Ferris actually said, "I'm punching." because I went, "Oh my god, he's punching." Like Yeah. Yeah. You know what I mean? You know what's funny? You know what? So, Iman So, Iman, that's Ferris's wife and my wife Sass, they got to obviously meet each other before they came out.

1:21:21 And it was so funny because they like fell in love with each other. And I'm like, "That's a beautiful couple." But also, they were they still stay in touch with which is really cool. Like, it was really sweet to see Iman and Murray and also Sass all to come together. And Sass comes out and she's like I said, "I've been a bit naughty, you know?" And she said, "Oh, I really like Iman." Like Is Ferris What do you reckon about Ferris? I'm like, "No, I'm putting him off for a week." SHE'S LIKE SHE'S LIKE, "I REALLY like Iman. I like I like Murray, too. Don't get me wrong." But Iman did Sass's makeup before the thing. So, now we know, Mark, why you didn't say you want to play blood versus water cuz you're like, "She's going to be too kind out there." My wife is My wife is a clinical like a legit clinical psychologist. She can Yes. A legit did you boys, by the way, did you notice the shout-out to Shoni when she came out to visit Mark with her dress?

1:22:19 So, that's how you know true fan true fan with the Shoni dress going out there to get the What like, Ferris, to have Iman go out there, to see some like I mean we saw you break down and the emotion of that. What's it like being cut off, you know, no connection or anything like that? Cuz it's hard for me when I'm a cuz I've like I immigrated when I was 18. I live on the other side of the world to most of my family. All of them are still in South Africa, but I at least get to talk to them on the phone all the time and you get the you know, the videos video messages and things like that. All of that was cut off. What was it like, you know, finally I guess having that connection back while you're supposed to be in game mode because this is like the biggest challenge of the whole game is this final challenge you're walking into. Yeah, so a bit of background to that. I actually I put my brother as first priority because I didn't want my wife traveling by herself.

1:23:10 Unfortunately, she has a huge phobia of flying and I didn't want her to be by herself. But in that moment, I was praying for some reason my wife would be there and I was expecting my brother. So when Sass came out and she was speaking to Mark and I think she was overly excited. So she started word vomiting a lot and then the second she said, "Oh and Feras's wife." Like I heard Feras's wife and then immediately like I didn't expect her to come out. When she said that, immediately all emotions just came rising up and like you could see it in that last episode. I was crying before she even came out because I didn't expect her to come. So to have her there and just yeah, just to look at her was like enough motivation enough motivation. I'm sure you boys can agree with me on that one.

1:24:02 But yeah, I had my back against the wall and like the first thing I said to her wasn't even like I don't know I can't remember how the edit worked, but the first thing I said was I need you to cheer me on because if I lose, I'm going home. And I know how she is. She's such a like she's very she's a very stressed person. So if she sees me in pain she starts to stress out. And of course that's what happened. I needed her to get up and be like go fair ass, come on you can I needed that. But instead she was like oh, I know he's in pain cuz I know his pain face. Yeah, obviously I'm standing on one foot in pain. I don't need that right now. But no, she was enough motivation for me to take it out. So it was amazing. Yeah, I feel like if I was to play Survivor and I got to like a final three situation and I see Mookie running out there I would have the same emotion.

1:24:56 But it would be for the opposite reason. I would be crying that I still can't escape this guy. I'M COMING CHRIS, I'M COMING. HE TRIPPED OVER. AT THAT POINT I MIGHT just evict myself OFF THE ISLAND. JAIL. JAIL HELP me if this turns around and shoots Mookie. I would be so I'd be full feet. I'd be full feet at the producers. They would have been stitching me up so bad if that was the case if they sent Mookie out there. If there was ever a motivation to finally, you know, lock it in with someone and settle down, that is the motivation before I go on Survivor. Final immunity challenge, Mookie goes out, plays the recorder directly INTO SOMEONE'S EAR. HOW LONG CAN THEY LAST?

1:25:48 OH MAN. I think they'd last the challenge yeah. It's over in 10 seconds. All right boys, this has been great to have you both on here to talk a bit about the game. As we start closing off here, you know, I'm going to give both of you guys an opportunity to talk about maybe like what was the thing that you wish you got to show everybody. Like something like an experience you had on the island, something you really enjoyed. You're going to remember this for many years to come. Maybe if you get kids in the future, I don't know if either of you have kids as of yet, but you know, maybe one day you sit down with your son or your daughter you say, "Hey, this is the thing about Survivor that I'm always going to remember. What's going to be that moment for you that you wish kind of made it to the screen?" And maybe it did make it to the screen, maybe it didn't. Mark, we'll start off with you. There's so many. it's cheese This is cheesy, right? But like we're all super fans here. I'm a super fan.

1:26:38 You've watched a million seasons of Survivor and you go in there and you'll think, "I will cut anyone, you know, to get myself ahead." The connection that I had with Viola and Valeria, I was like, "Damn, these girls I can't even vote these girls out." And like and so like those that friendship and Ferris had this with Ray, the same thing. Like Eden's not Eden's more strategic relationship, but that friendship with Viola and Valeria I was so surprised in myself that even in a game after I've spent like three days with these people, you think oh you wouldn't you'd get over it. But it's kind of like the feeling of soldiers going into battle together. You're in an army and it's like you'll lose a limb for them. And so it that's a really special feeling to get in a really short space of time that intense amount of friendship.

1:27:30 And it exists to this day, you know, like I was hit That's amazing. And it's It is so funny going to coffee with Valeria and Viola. Like seriously, I'm in like I'm in like clothes I'm in my like linen shirt trying to look nice. And Valeria's got to like They're like everyone's like turning their heads at Valeria and then they turn their heads at Viola and then they look at me and they go, "What?" Yeah, so it's pretty cool. But like that's because friendship the friendship is just so deep that it doesn't matter like a battle all the other the other stuff. So I think it's that deep and Ferris man as well. Like this I love this man, you know, on the island and after the island I think we've even like got each other to know each other even more. So, yeah, it's definitely the friendship. And it's cheesy, I know it's cheesy, but yeah, that's it.

1:28:21 I also did a swimming lessons with Biolan for that area cuz they can barely swim. And that's the one scene that I wish they showed because they can't swim. And then they were they were trying to like outdo they were trying to outdo each other and they were both drowning. And I had to like give them they were like, "Who's better? Me or Biolan? Me or Valeria?" And I'm like I'm like, "You're both terrible." I First same thing for you, I guess, you know, what is what is I guess the moments or the moment that you would remember, you know, many years from now like when you when you know, old and gray you look back fondly. Hopefully for both of you there will be more Survivor moments in the future. We hope you both get to play the game again, but you know, if this is the only time you get to play it for us, what would you be looking back at? Oh my god. I would say there's probably two moments on screen and one moment off screen. one of the moments it actually made the extras.

1:29:13 It was the scene of the coconut wife. I don't know if you guys have seen that, but that was almost like a mini series in the extras of like the evolution of like my wife. so, I thought that was really funny. and there yeah, two off screen. One funny one and one really I think heartwarming one before I was getting trouble with Coca-Cola. I love that. Yeah, so one of the moments was It was actually teaching Alex how to pray. that was a huge moment and I was yeah, I was quite upset it didn't it didn't make it to air because it again, like something like that means a lot to me to show Australia that, you know, two people from completely different backgrounds can come together, respect each others backgrounds, religion, culture, whatever it may be.

1:30:05 And it was yeah, probably the most heartwarming experience I've ever went through. And, you know, same for Alex, props to him, much respect. It meant so much to me that, you know, that he went through that with me. So, I was really disappointed I didn't make the cut, but look, again, there's only so much they can put in it. So, yeah, I was really proud of that moment. So, yeah. Yeah. There was also a silly, you know, sorry, there's a really light-hearted one that I'm so upset didn't make the cut. It was me teaching, Raymond Arabic. And I made him say a bunch of insulting things about himself in Arabic, and he didn't know. he was just like, I made him say, you know, I'm a donkey, I love to sleep in the sand, I smell like crap, like, a bunch of different phrases. And it was hilarious.

1:30:55 And it was so funny because Eileen was in the background, and she was repeating and she was repeating the same thing. I'm like, no, Eileen, don't repeat don't repeat that. Only Ray repeats that. So, yeah, that Have you told Ray the truth now, or is this the first time he's finding out? Okay. Just making sure. him that I told him that in fear that he would eventually find out on TV. So, and it didn't even end up making it. So, I just got myself in trouble for no reason. So, yeah. And Mark, apparently, there was mini moments between you and Winner, as well, where you got to speak Thai with him and things like that never made the scene, like, the whole relationship between you and Winner, we never got to see. Winner, oh, man, Winner, he was, Winner was a top ally of mine. There's something, you know, I have I speak Thai, he speaks Thai. We could speak fluently to each other. We could strategize in front of our tribe mates.

1:31:47 We actually referred to, there's one challenge where I think we got swapped to the other side, and we would come to the challenges, and I'd, sidle up to Winner, and I'd say, I referred to Ferris as the big Arab man. There was like There was like And then And then he said to me the little smelly boy and I was like And I forgot the word for smelly and I'm like smelly. I repeat I'm like smelly. He's like oh like you know woo and I'm like oh yeah smelly. I'm like random. He's like yeah. so we had nicknames we had like nicknames for everyone and so like the language is one thing but the friendship was massive. Like the dude is He was really good social player. He did really well at the swap I think to keep to manage both sides for quite some time and then got a bit unlucky I think when Scott quit but yes I had I had full trust in Winner as well after when we got to merge with him and Val.

1:32:46 Before the swap him and Viola were really tight so we had this cool little like me Viola and Winner thing going on so yeah I'm devastated I didn't see more Winner on the screen. He was He was hilarious. Yeah. And much more much better connected than just Jayden so yeah. Yeah. One last question. I appreciate you boys so much for jumping on and doing this. I know it's been a long week and you've had many interviews that you had to do so we really appreciate it. Ferras you know you may be able to speak to this and if you can't I definitely don't want to get you in trouble and I don't want to get us in trouble cuz all of us want to go play Survivor one day as well. So you know if we're lucky enough to get onto the show but you know there was rumors out there that they potentially filmed two endings with one where you won and one where you didn't win. Can you talk to that like is that And if you can't it's fine and just say ah sorry I can't go into that. You know I know this is live and I don't put you on the spot.

1:33:36 Yeah so look I will get into this only because it's been talked about by everyone without me so and it's already been confirmed by a bunch of previous players as well. So yeah they do film two separate endings but in the moment obviously like, regardless of how it is being filmed, you are you still feel it. You definitely still feel it when you see your name on the fans, although it's not the case, you still definitely feel that, and those reactions are genuine. Like, it's hilarious because I actually cried when I covered my face. I was bawling my eyes out, and I still didn't even know. Like, that's how impactful it was. So, I did find out, yeah, a couple of days ago that I won. So, it was it was huge for me. Mate, that's insane that you had to wait so long.

1:34:28 You are the best supporting actor, mate, so of course you got to play the character. I love that. Yeah, so, I found out the second, all of Australia found out. So, I partied with you guys. Yeah. And listen, I look at it from a positive side. I think that it limits spoilers because, you know, if a season gets spoiled, it's never fun for anyone to know who's going to be the winner at the end. So, I can understand definitely why they do it. but it's just interesting to know that you know, I can't imagine having to go through both and like be like, "Oh, I might have won this game." and not knowing. But, that's how it used to be in Survivor back in the day when they had to take the votes back to the US to read it out live and so forth. thank you, everybody, for joining the live. We really appreciate you tonight jumping in, asking questions, getting involved, getting stuck in. you know, Ferras, Mark, you guys were both brilliant this season. We all really enjoyed watching you, and, you know, as gutted as I am for Mark, I'm so happy for you as well, Ferras, that you got to win this season.

1:35:25 Thank you, guys. And I hope Mark gets that opportunity to go back, and hopefully we can see both of you on a winner season in the future as well. Everybody in the live, Go for it, Tom. hit that subscribe button. You know what to do. Hit subscribe, put a like on it. You know, the more of the people that actually follow the channel, the more opportunity we have to bring more people back to the channel in the future as well. So, please, everybody, jump on. Tom, you look like you badly want to say something. What does Yucatán mean? I GOT TO I DON'T KNOW. QUICKLY, I LIVED in Mexico for 6 months. Alex, before you played Survivor, was living in Mexico as well. He lived on the Yucatan Peninsula. That's where the island is. And I'm like and he I swear he knew that but I think I pronounced it too correctly. I was like Yucatan, which is how you should pronounce it. I should have I should have said Yucatan. Yucatan.

1:36:16 Yeah. Yeah, that's it. That's it. Say it. That's the hashtag for this episode. Hashtag Yucatan. Thanks, everybody. Catch you next season. Bye.
