0:56 Welcome back to the Nullified Take channel on YouTube where we've got the TNT takes for you and what I believe to be the best Australian Survivor season of all time. Titans versus Rebels week five. I'm here for it. I'm loving it. and with me is someone that I feel like, you know, if there is ever a person that you need to really break down crazy gameplay, who can drag us all down to that crazy gameplay Gabon level style, it's Mookie, Mr. Mookie Hope himself. How are you doing today, mate? I'm doing really good, man. Really good. Yeah, what a great week of Australian Survivor. I still don't think it tops 2017 in my opinion, but we're just going to have to see what the rest of the season looks like. But yeah, once again, great season. shocks you. This is like the way that they're playing this game, this is where like literally where you live every single day.

1:47 This is how you attack life. So, for you for you it's like I'm not watching a reality TV show, I'm just watching a day in Mookie Hope's life. So, I can understand why it's not hitting that level for you quite so much as, you know, for myself, Kahuna, Tom, we're not used to this craziness. We haven't seen it since Gabon. It's the Truman Show. I'm telling you. It's real life. But you know, I hate to brag, but I will. But you guys gave me so much last week. I said Eileen was, you know, the safest person going into merge. They targeted Raymond over Eileen. I hate to brag, but I nailed that. I You know, I had to nail in the coffin with that. Eileen's going to win the season. I'm telling you. The nail in the coffin. She's okay. Yeah, hopeless. He doesn't know anything. Actually, I'm hopeful. It's The problem The problem, Tom, is that, you know, I bring Mookie onto these shows, I'm like, I need him here for his crazy takes, but he always has the same take week in and week out.

2:45 Like we still hear about the same takes about Rogue, all these kind of things, you know, Stevie being the best player. He never switches it up. I know, Tom, you're someone, you know, like Ferris, who can switch things up a little bit, you know, sometimes you like a certain person, sometimes you don't. How was this week for you? Do you like what you saw? Are you with me on this? Do you agree that this possibly could be the greatest Australian Survivor season ever that we're seeing at the moment? I agree it is, honestly. I mean, Winner's out, good riddance, couldn't stand him. Oh, actually, no. He's just like such a meh human being on Survivor. You've got to watch out, mate. Jayden is listening to podcasts. It's all right. It's all right. Winner's a male, so maybe if I insult him, I'll get some leeway back, you know. I don't know. He's working you up, Mookie. I will say that I will Gabe's not going to forget.

3:35 There's only one person left in the Gabe doesn't forget. honestly, I'm seriously. anyway, there's only one person left in the cast that I don't like. And she didn't help herself this week. I mean, Caroline. Yeah. Well, I could have said it, but I restrained myself. Oh, well. You're going to go that low? Well, you can't. No, so I mean I mean, Caroline thinking she's the main character. Just crying at the like a crying about Mark backstabbing her. That annoyed me so much. I'm like, do you do you know what a hypocrite looks like? I know there's no mirrors out there, but if you can find a mirror, look in one cuz you're a hypocrite, you goon ad. Yeah, Gabe, it didn't take him long at all. It did not take Tom long at all to fall back straight into his old habits, but Kahuna, it's been a while the last time I saw you.

4:31 I believe we spoke about the Challenge finale episode here on the podcast. Yeah, so obviously having that behind us now, it's all on Survivor action for the next month before we get back into Challenge action. How's this week been for you? Did you enjoy it? Are you still, you know, sort of riding for your for your main man Jayden this season? Is he still you know, the guy to watch out for? Mookie said just before we went live, he reckons Jayden's winning the whole thing. He obviously says it off live. He wouldn't say it when it's live. He didn't Eileen may listen on the live, so the true colors come. The best content happens when we don't hit record pre and after. I reckon, Kahuna. So, are you are you with him? Do you reckon that Jayden's the guy to watch out for after this week? Look, if your answer for every single question ever posed is Eileen, then one of the times that's going to be right.

5:23 You know what I mean? Like if you just say Eileen a million times, one of those times will be correct, Mookie. Like a broken clock is right twice a day. As far as the Jayden take goes, like I can see him going to the end. I can see him going to the final three even, dragged as the ultimate goat. but honestly, like what do you think he could even do at a final tribal council? They'll just laugh. And like I see a way I see a way for Valeria potentially still to win the game if she can get there with him somehow. Because a lot of us were high. A lot of us were high on Valeria last week. And we thought there was a chance the edit potentially was there. You're really spicy tonight, Mookie. Calm down, man. Simmer down. I will come back to you, I promise. Just simmer down. A lot of us thought Let me Let me paint Allow me to paint a picture here for our audience before you have Don't be so mean to women, Mookie.

6:17 Geez. I don't know what's going on tonight with Mookie. He came in choosing like, you know, he's ready for a fight tonight for some other reason. But yeah, like I said, a lot of us thought Valeria had a chance, but I think this week really showed us that her cutthroatness is something that's going to be a big thing for her. I mean, I know Tom would have loved seeing her just tell Caroline straight up, "You're the weakest player in the game, Tom." were you fist pumping in your in your living room when you saw that? I was going amen. Like if I have a Caroline in my season, then I am I am ejecting her off that island as soon as possible. Just can't cuz otherwise they're going to see my ugly side, and I want them to see my lovely side, you know? such a lovely side. You really want to wear the jacket, Tom? Oh, okay.

7:07 That's a That's another thing like being like to Valeria, "Oh, you're not wearing that tonight, are you? That's my jacket." I was like, "No, it's not. It's Nathan's jacket. You can't just claim that as yours." Like I get really cold at night. I'm sure everyone else gets cold. Think about someone else for once in your life, Caroline. Oh my god. Let's say hello to a few people in the live here, everyone. Andrew Lee coming in with the big $10. Thank you so much, Andrew Lee. We appreciate you saying Ferris saying JL P looks so confused. I was confused the whole week as well. Like I don't blame JL P for being confused in some of these tribal councils. JL P's reactions have been very good, and I think that's why we all love JL P as a host. he's really going through all of these things with us as the fans when it's happening live there in front of them. Gabe is saying this season is the most messy in Australian Survivor history. These players' moves are all over the place, hard to rationalize.

8:01 We've also got Charlotte all the way over from the UK here in the live. Welcome, Charlotte. Welcome back to the live. but what a what a what a start to the week, you know, we get into the merge, Mookie, and finally, before Eden gets bamboozled in the game, he does become datable at least in his eyes. Yes, he makes merge cuz if you make merge, you're actually you're actually datable, so you know, Eileen at least has a chance with me now. You know, this is like Watch out. Like I said, Mookie shooting all of his shots tonight. Who is this guy? You know, where did he suddenly get all this confidence from, Mookie? I had a power nap, and quite honestly, I woke up, and I chose violence, all right? So, that's why You need to chuck him out, Mookie. You need to chuck I do. I've been thinking about it all the way.

8:54 Yeah, I loved I loved those references right from Eden. It just shows that the true fans, the people who've watched the show, they'll know exactly, you know, who he's referencing in both of those cases. so, the datable one's from Cat in Blood vs. Water. They bamboozled? And then they did the hatch. No, Richard Hatch did bamboozled, but then the datable one's Cat, right? That's correct. Yep. Okay. Awesome. I know my Survivor. It's a very high bar to be classified as a true Survivor super fan, and you have just passed that. Oh gosh, I'll be casting American Survivor now. Watch out. I was going to do the datable thing when I made merge. I was going to say that, and he took it from me. He took it from you. Yeah. I mean I feel like If you're in with Garrick, you want it to be well before merge that you're datable there, right?

9:46 Oh, I mean, Garrick, you We don't have to talk about that. All I want to say is I am here for Mookie being on American Survivor season What would it be? 47 now? Because if Mookie's out there, finally it would be the end of the show. They would finally get canceled after wild child Mookie onto a season. And we can put this whole Survivor US to bed from that point onwards, Kouna. Oh, absolutely. I mean, you were talking about this season being the best Australian Survivor season. And if it is therefore the best Australian Survivor season, it's got to be up there with some of the best seasons internationally as well. And it's weird that today was the premier of US Survivor episode one. I haven't seen it yet. Yeah, I haven't even cuz we didn't do a draft or anything like that. And I'm so in the Australian one. I just have not been into the US Like I know we're starting on Saturday, but I'm like I'm like I'm not into it.

10:41 Like I'm just to have to find a It's got to be hard to follow what we've up to now, you know? We're going to have to find it inside of our deep dark soul to really be like I know I'll get myself there as soon as I watch it, but it's just I know that the quality that Australian Survivor and I can say this freely because we don't want to be too negative on the podcast for US Survivor, but the quality of Australian Survivor like Mookie knows this for the longest period of time he's been dragging. This is the one time I will admit. Just the one time I'll admit it Mookie's been right in the last couple of seasons. He's been dragging me kicking and screaming saying Australian Survivor is so much better, mate. Like I don't even watch US Survivor anymore because Australian Survivor is so much better. And I've been fighting that for so long, but they're even getting the edit right this season, Mookie, because I'm confused. I've got actually got no idea who's going to win this season. There are so In my opinion, I don't have Tom's animosity to Caroline.

11:32 I actually think Survivor needs good villains and Caroline and Kitty they're great villains and I love it. We would not see Caroline and Kitty casted on Survivor US cuz Jeff does not want to cast villains anymore. Yeah, actually so funny. I still recall our first ever conversation when I asked you saying if I could, you know, be a part of the podcast. And I said, "I really want to talk about Australian Survivor as best version of franchise." And this was shortly after Blood vs. Water. And you're like, "What? You think you think That was so funny. But yeah, you're absolutely right. Caroline and Kitty are great Survivor villains. You've got Mark who's wheeling and dealing. You've got Ferris, is he a hero? Is he a villain? He's an anti-hero. Yeah, he's listed like an anti-hero, right? Cuz he's portrayed as a hero cuz he's been an underdog. But he will still wheel and deal his way out of things.

12:23 He's ready to make tribals live. And this is also good about Australian Survivor. They make these very complicated characters and storylines as well, which just makes you so much more invested compared to American Survivor, which is like Yeah. There are no storylines cuz half the people can't even vote. Yeah. Like listen, I was I was salivating at the fact that we had so many great rivalries coming together into the merge. We had Val finally coming in with Winner and Kirby and that sort of Scotty side of it, which we're going to talk about the Scotty side of everything as well. But you know, we got that sort of alliance coming into the merge. And Val had revenge on her mind. She wanted to take out the people who took out Viola. Who would have thought that Viola would be the most mentioned Survivor player ever in the history of the show to be voted out and still get name dropped every single episode this week on the merge.

13:16 Like I mean, she is still relevant. Like Tom, if there is ever a season to get like, you know, pre-merge versus post-merge, I feel like Viola should be in with a shot because she's still fresh in our minds. Like taken too soon and Val coming into this merge, she didn't want to let that go. Yeah, 100%, you know. It'd be her, you know, Rogue. You'd have to have Steve there the two-time you know, and Mookie wouldn't be able to contain himself. And well, Eileen wouldn't be on the season cuz you know, she's such a forgettable and terrible player. But you know, I don't think she wins. That's why. It's cuz she wins. That's why she won't be on the season. Oh. Yeah, no, but I've never from memory, I can't remember a season where like there wasn't like two alliances going against each other going to the merge. It's like just a bunch of groups of like threes. And you're like, who's going to work with who? Like it's honestly so interesting.

14:08 How can anybody, Kouna, look at this season? Last season was a bit of a masterpiece. A lot of people loved Heroes vs. Villains. They said, "Best season ever. There's nothing better in the US. There's nothing better in Australia. Heroes vs. Villains Australia, it is the best ever season." I've always been critical. Like I appreciate the great game play that George had that season. Master of the game. But he dominated. There was no one standing in his way. There was no There was no true intrigue going into the merge where you were like, "Oh, there's someone there that's going to Maybe Hayley, she was thinking about it at some point." But there weren't enough good players around her for her to really make a move against George. Like how can you look at Heroes vs. Villains and compare it to this season right now? Like Tom said, with all of these different pockets of people that could be working together. You get Ferris, you get Eileen, you get Raymond that ends up working with Kitty, Eden, and Caroline.

15:00 And what was a masterful move. Like you maybe don't like Caroline or Kitty, but for them to be able to go to Ferris to work with the enemy of my enemy, you know, who becomes my friend in that moment. Great Survivor game play to mix things up, you know? And then immediately afterwards try a different combination again. Like how can you come into this season? How can you not How can you come into this season, Kouna, and not like what we're seeing at least from an entertainment perspective and feel like there are so many so much more possibilities and so much more skill set involved in this season. There's a lot more complexity compared to like Heroes vs. Villains, which was a pretty much was a pergoing after the merge. It went one way. Yeah, I mean, Heroes vs. Villains is an amazing season, but primarily off the back of George. Like his high highs were what Like it was an amazing season overall, but stamped and bookmarked and exclamation pointed by George really carrying a lot of it.

15:58 Whereas this season we've got a good spread. Like you said, amongst the factions, there seems to be these leaders that are stepping to the front. We've got Ferris, Kirby, Caroline, Mark. Right? And Ferris and Kirby have been fighting each other. Mark and Caroline have been fighting each other. And there's just all this going on. It seems to be that the highs that George had as an individual performer has been spread out amongst a much larger cast, which makes it so much more dynamic and like really like it's not like Ferris is leading the confessional count. You know, the top four is what I just said. They're getting all the confessionals. But we still know Kitty, right? She's not getting the confessionals, but she's part of that Caroline. It's like Caroline is the narrator and Kitty is like the doer or something.

16:48 You know what I mean? Like she tells the story, but Kitty's having the conversations at camp. Whereas Caroline's having the conversations to the camera. And then you've got people like even like a Jayden who were, except for Mookie, are saying strategically is not there. But he is having fun. He's great on screen. Like even the players that aren't players are giving us gems on screen. And it makes the season all the much more entertaining. Even though they're playing messy, there's bad moves, there's like mistakes all over the place. It is so fascinating to watch. And it just makes me And you know what It's refreshing. I think it's refreshing because Survivor US has become and I know it's not great. Like fans the super fans are the ones that watch these podcasts and they probably would hate me for saying this. But we've got too many super fans playing Survivor US now where everybody is game bodying the whole system.

17:42 Like it's good to have some I love the fact that we've got some recruits coming into the game like a Jayden who brings up the most crazy game play more than once this week. Even in this first episode where they're going for immunity challenge, he's been in there for like, I don't know, an hour holding this pose. And JLP is like, "You know, are you really going to let Winner have it because he wants it?" And he's like, "Yeah, he can have it." And he just drops out. Like Mookie, like how do you How do you plan for that? How do you play with a guy like Jayden? And is it not refreshing to see people kind of learn the show on the move instead of going in there thinking, "Oh, the optimal move is this. This is what I need to do here." Where it becomes kind of game bodying and a little bit more predictable and boring sometimes. I mean, you know, it's exactly, you know, what I said earlier. You know, the thing about Australian Survivor is that you don't get players, you get given characters, right?

18:32 And you get so invested in them. Like George, for example, you either love George or you or you hate him, right? Like my grandparents hate George, I love George. But at least you feel something towards him. Whereas with a lot of American players, you don't really have that same feeling of that sort of makes sense. And so that's why I think Australian Survivor really excels at. And you with Jayden, he just drops out of the challenge. Classic Jayden. Or should I say Darth Jayden turning on his master at the very end. Like yeah, that was fantastic. I loved it. Like is it one of the biggest one-times? Completely self-sabotaging, though. Bad for his game. Yeah. Not a good move. I think it's actually really good for his game. Oh, no. And listen, we will we will talk about the Jayden move a little bit later on. So just hold on to that thought. Blood Money, we do watch Survivor US season 46.

19:23 We will watch it. I should say we haven't watched it yet. So please don't spoil anything in here. Myself and Kouna will be back on Friday evening over in the US time to talk about the first episode with Jake. So just hold off on it for now if you can, please. And Blood Money bringing up the biggest talking point probably for this episode saying, "Hey guys, I hope Scott gets the help he needs. Mental health needs to be the main priority." And I was so close watching the episode, right? I'm watching this plan come together. They're going to make this vote against Kitty. It's masterful. Everybody's in it. Val's going to get what she needs from this. And I see Scotty go through these emotions out there and I'm thinking to myself, what are you doing, Scotty? Like constantly thinking about the game, right? And just being like, why are you telling her? You're sinking your own game. What are you trying to gain from this? Not understanding it. I was so frustrated watching this that I wanted to text Kahuna and Mucky in the middle of this thing, what the freaking hell is Scotty doing?

20:18 Until we get to the Tribal Council where clearly the guy is completely checked out. mental health is a big thing. And I know a lot of fans like myself included, like Kahuna, you know how very heavy against the quitters I was in season 45 for Survivor US, right? When they checked out. this seemed to be something completely different. Like something within Scotty himself broke. and he needed to make the best decision for himself in that moment. And I think a lot of fans have been coming at him pretty hard online as well. As there's been love and hate. When you put yourself out there, you're going to get both, right? At all times. You're going to get love and hate. but clearly this one seemed like it was the right decision for him. Like we're not in his body. We don't know what he's going through while he's out there playing this game where people are backstabbing, conniving, and stealing, and you're starving, and it's such a longer game compared to the US as well.

21:13 What was your thoughts on seeing Scotty just break down in this way? And in the process of this probably tanking quite a few players' games as well. Cuz I feel like a few players have really been Not that should ever be in his mind, but a few people are in a really bad spot after this. All right. Was this Do you ask me? honest, I'm Oh. All right. Was it Tom? No, sorry. I'm sorry. I was waiting I was waiting for someone to respond and no one was responding. No. Kahuna just had I'm so used to his internet by now. I'm so used to his internet by now. I give him a second. I know he'll catch up. Sorry. Thank you. yeah, I was just mixed, man. Like it's hard for me as well because obviously mental health is such an important issue and it's becoming more and more recognized. And this is super important that it actually happened that way. But there's still a part of me, whether it's because, you know, I'm an older millennial {slash} Gen X or that's just still, you know, broken by the '80s.

22:08 It's like, no. Hard enough. It's a concrete. Like, you know, that's just part of the way I was raised, but I still have a very acute awareness of the difficulties that people go through. but I struggle with that. That's a That's a thing within me of going, quitters, like, [ __ ] Get the hell out of here. You took Chris's spot. You took Mucky's spot. You took Tom's spot. They would have been there if it wasn't for Scott. Like, you know, but I also go, man, like I couldn't I know. Like, you guys every week we talk about, ah, I can't wait to go on Survivor. And I'm just like, cuz I'm never applying for it. Yeah, I'm I couldn't be out there. I wouldn't I don't even like sand at the Anakin Skywalker, is that you? I was going to ask if it's real feeders cuz it's kind of I feel like, you know, you may become one of the best ever play.

23:00 I mean, you know, you don't want to see me see what I can do socially, politically, but not physically. No, like I do struggle with that as well. Like there's a part of me that feels like you said, season 45. And I'm wondering if maybe, and this is really cynical of me, and if there's people out there that are offended by this, I apologize genuinely. But I think I'm talking about more of our own like Western civilization and the people's perception of mental health issues. When it was on Survivor 45 and she said, I forget her name, Hannah, I think. And she was like, I miss cigarettes. You know, I want to I can't be here. There was an Shawn also quit. But they just said it, I don't want to be here. I'm taking someone else's spot. But when Scotty said, look, I'm really struggling mentally. I need mental health. Then all of a sudden we go, ah, okay.

23:53 And but with the other people, there's been quitters in the past in Australian Survivor, there's been quitters in US Survivor. Are we because they didn't use the label? They didn't use the term and we're not recognizing it. Yeah. We're just like, yeah. Like I think we have to get better at going, you don't need to get to the point where you're broken to the point where you say, mental health, I need out of here, otherwise I'm going to like lose it. If we recognize earlier and people quitting as not quitting, but dealing with their mental health and making sure what's best for them, maybe it'll be better overall and things like this wouldn't be a big deal. But it's such a hard balance, man. Like it's really hard. This is people's dreams. And it was his dream as well. Like, you know, I don't know what the answer is, but it's a struggle for me, too. I'm telling you. Mucky, you look like you wanted to say something. Yeah. Yeah, I was saying that I mean, you know, as I haven't seen season 45, right?

24:46 So I guess I don't know the full context behind Shawn even Brandon. I heard he wanted to quit. And Hannah. But they're all like pre-merge in a 26-day game as well. It's like not that long out there. So I can see why fans would be frustrated. But I also want to I think the thing I want to point out here is that mental health doesn't it's not something that's necessarily going to pop up at a specific day. Like you could be out there for 24 hours and something could trigger you. You know what I mean? So I think that Kahuna hit it on the head with the language that was used that I need for my mental health, I need to go out of the game. So that was clearly made you know, it was something that was that was clear at Tribal Council. Whereas the previous ones, that wasn't what was said, you know? So I don't know. You probably do treat some of them differently. Like struggling because I quit cigarettes, you look at Shane Powers.

25:38 The guy quit smoking a packet a day and still went out there and somehow survived, right? But different generation. Now it's easy. Like I can just leave. I'm not that big of a fan of the show. I don't think I think Hannah was someone that became a show a fan of the show in recent times, but she wasn't a big fan of the show long-term. So fans react a little bit differently to it. But I think the key thing here for us at the end of the day and even for us as people who podcast and recap all the time to take into consideration is that these are real people with real feelings and people at home that care for them. show a little bit of compassion. We've never been out there ourselves. We've never played the game. We don't truly know what it's about. I would like to believe if I was to go out there, they would have to take me out in a stretcher, right? But you don't know how you're going to react until you're actually out there. And that is what a lot of players sometimes do. Like, you know, they call it out. Like, listen, you're sitting on the sidelines. We saw a big blow-up this week with Jayden and Shannon.

26:32 And I mean, she's a podcaster. She's a friend of the channel. obviously I'm a bit biased in that sense that I always go out to sort of ride for my for my person, Shannon, who's obviously a fellow podcaster, and say that it's not great what happened there. there was the shot fired over there to say, you know, you don't play the game. You'll never play the game. And it's easy to comment from the sidelines. And I don't think Shannon meant any offense by it. Like we try and entertain as much as we can. but sometimes we may offend by just saying the wrong thing at the wrong time, you know? I will say this to Jayden though, and I will put it out there. Like, you know, if you want to take shots at us podcasters, there's a lot of us who wouldn't mind going out there. Like I'll take you on, Jayden. Come back for Fans vs. Favorites. Let's go. You know? I'm not afraid to get out there. There's a lot of us who would get out there. Who would have thought Jayden of all people would be so sensitive to like take shots about like And that angle, by the way, as again, as a podcaster and stuff, like that's what we do, right?

27:30 And none of us have been out there. Like it's such an old trope. Like you see it in sport. NBA players who are like, oh, journalists have never played the game. They've never picked up a ball, football, all that sort of thing. They're like, oh, if you haven't played, you don't And like it's such [ __ ] Like Shannon Guss knows more about this game than probably anyone on Earth. Like, you know what I mean? Like she is the expert in all of Survivordom. She probably knows more than Probst about the game. And like to say that she doesn't know anything when clearly he has Like I love Jayden, but he has shown he doesn't know the game. Like just cuz he's out there, doesn't know mean he's playing. He's on holiday in Fiji, but he's not He doesn't know Survivor. and it's not a What she did as well, cuz I watched it. I listened to it. And I didn't Like I didn't go, ooh.

28:22 Like I just thought it was completely non-consequential, normal comment, absolutely. Like Jayden's being a sensitive [ __ ] See Jayden's See his followers come after me. And I live in the same area as Jayden. Jayden Gabe's saying, don't worry about Chris. Watch out for Mucky. Mucky, do you have some choice words for Mr. Jayden? I heard you nearly made up with him over in Auckland. You just missed out. You could have You could have told him face to face. and Mount Maunganui, actually. But it was a say this for people who don't know. I will say this for people who don't know. Mucky is tall. He will possibly be taller than Jayden if you actually met him in real life. You can't see it on the camera. He's a He's a bit of a giant. There's a reason that he loves Bigfoot so much. I am Bigfoot. He's looking for He's looking for his partner out there, you know?

29:13 Size 15 shoes, gosh. But what's that thing that Kahuna promised he would do against Cory? Like a hall brawl or something? Hall brawl? Nah, Jayden would kill me. I'm not I'm not I'll hall brawl Jayden. I'll hall brawl Jayden. I think it'll be fun. Me and you would be winner and whoever the other person was where he's just laughing. Raven's just laughing. Nah, trust me. When I smash down a cheeky chucky milk, he's gone. All right? I've got speed on my side. Is this your burner account here? Is that you in the comments? Yeah, I've just been secretly but no, I'm glad you have the same winner pick as me. I also have Eileen as my winner pick, but I do have a secret dark horse in Jaden though, but we'll talk about that.

30:05 You want to fight him now? Easy. I already said Jaden versus the fans who had seen 60 plus seasons of Survivor. I think he just took offense to it. And like listen, I get it. Like I see it from all angles. It's unfortunate that I think the thing that Jaden didn't think through prior to make or sort of you know, shooting off at Shannon was he's got probably the biggest following No, he's probably got the biggest following of anyone that has ever played this game, right? So with that massive following of over like a million people, there's a certain level of responsibility that comes with that. But if you're going to say something, you're going to have all these keyboard warriors and kids that probably not of Survivor, but because you're saying this Shannon girl is someone that's coming at you, they're just going to go at her. So you have to think even more like when you've got that level of a following of what you're going to say, how you're going to shoot off.

30:57 It could have been a simple message of get in her DMs, say to her, "Hey, really I didn't appreciate the way you spoke about this or didn't really like it. Why did you need to make it such a public thing?" And I and I know Shannon is someone that is kind. She does try and lead. Sometimes like I said, you're an entertainer, so you're trying to be funny. You're making jokes sometimes just for the also to be entertaining. And sometimes maybe you have hit a nerve somewhere, but she is a very kind person. If you actually had a conversation with her Jaden one-to-one, she would have come back and said, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend." basically in this case. Tom, any final thoughts on that before we move on? What was your thoughts about the whole Jaden versus Shannon rivalry? And do you think this would mean we finally can get Shannon with you and me and Mucky on a podcast this season? Maybe she decides, "Listen, I need to I need to show up and put my money where my mouth is." I mean, I say way worse things about people on a daily basis, especially on this podcast.

31:51 Like if Jaden's getting like I mean like the stuff I said about Carolyn before was pretty bad. Every female. Hey. I haven't said a single bad thing about Rihanna cuz she's so forgettable. Who else is there? Oh, I don't know. No. Actually, I can't even remember who else was left in the game. I haven't said anything bad about Valeria, I think. Or Yeah, I think Don't get me started on Val. Go off. Yeah, but anyway, no, I think I think yeah, it's rough. Like I'm always going to back the woman in the situation, so I think Shannon's on the right side cuz you know I love I love women and I support them. so jeez, Jaden. I'm not going to say I'm not going to say back off because you guys have already signed your death warrants by like saying you want to fight Jaden.

32:43 I'm just going to sit in the background, get some popcorn, and enjoy all your funerals. It'll make it a lot easier for me to get on the show because you know, you two are kind of like potentially taking my spot next season. Ah. There we go. Charlotte coming in saying Shannon even said earlier in the episode that she struggles when breaking down players' negative moves. And I know for a fact like we had Shannon on the podcast once and at some point we'll definitely get her back on. Like I said, she's a friend of the channel and has many a times reached out behind the scenes and always been kind even when I first started this channel and had very little following. I mean, we're not big now like we've got a couple of thousand, but when we were like less than you know, 500 people, she was always very supportive of the channel. So I always appreciate that. And we had on the channel and we had to like choose a season of Worlds Collide and she felt bad for leaving people out of that.

33:34 She's like you know, off air, she was like, "I can't believe that I can't say this and this person because I really would have liked for them to be on the season as well and I feel bad they were going to feel a certain way cuz I didn't say their names." So I know she's someone that has spoken about that on podcasts and things like that it is hard, but I applaud her and I hope she changes nothing about her approach and she just keeps being herself, be entertaining, do the podcast. you know, at the end of the day this comes with the territory, Shannon. You know, you're successful. You've got some sort of record name recognition now. it hit a nerve with Jaden because he knows you do have a following, a lot of people that respect your opinion about the game. But I want to move on from that. we spoke a little bit about Scott leaving the game so early on here. And I want to talk about Tom, where does this leave Scott's alliance right now? Because you know, in the game Scott leaves.

34:25 He was tight with Kirby. He had in that alliance with him, also Val and Winner. Like how does the dynamic change at this merge? Because going into the next vote it doesn't just become a simple let's vote Kitty out again type of vote. Like who do you think were the biggest losers in the game losing Scott so early on? And will it have an effect on the ultimate outcome of this season? Yeah, I think it definitely was like without doubt Kirby and Ree who lost the most from that. And it was very interesting how they chose not to really show Kirby's opinion on it all. Like I feel like if Kirby's the winner, they're definitely showing her being like, "Oh, I just lost like my number one ally. Like my back's against the wall." just so like people would root for her more. So I think that's very bad for Kirby in both the game play wise and also edit wise.

35:16 But yeah. Yeah, I think it's I think it's definitely Kirby's hurt from this as well. Obviously, we know the outcome ultimately is going to be someone like Winner is going to get sniped, which you know, it just changes the game play so much because in my mind, Mucky, I know Tom hasn't been too high on Kirby's game play heading into the merge. I still think Kirby has done a lot of really good things. So it kind of saddens me, Mucky, seeing someone like Kirby place her faith in someone like again, Scott did the right thing. Again, I'm not saying Scott should have stayed there just to be clear for everybody out there. But seeing this happen to her in the game, this is now when it's truly going to test her like does she have that next level in her? Can she truly become one of the Survivor greats? Because we know she's got a strategic mind. We know she's able to move where the numbers go. But she's now more rely She has to rely on people like Ferris who she's never really trusted in the game and there's been this tension between the two of them the whole time.

36:10 Mhm. Well, we talked about a few podcasts ago about Ferris is like Tony, but I actually think Kirby is actually like the Tony from Cagayan where she makes these massive swings. Sometimes are actually the wrong moves, but she's just able to socially recover from it somehow and is able to regain back all the power that she potentially could have lost. Like in the non-elim that Kelly got into Titans it's been confirmed that Rihanna was going to be taken out that episode, right? And so she's always like she has been able to claw her way back up and I think she's just laying low at the moment. And yes, but I do think she's one of the best players this season. I just think that she just has to lay low for a wee bit until she can actually get some more numbers on her side, especially with how the recent vote went. It was literally six on six. So I'd say wait a couple more votes and then try a few more massive swings and maybe that's how she reaches the end.

37:06 Yeah, it's hard that like within that six though like if she obviously you can't know, but if she knew Scott was going to go, does she sacrifice Kelly? Right? Cuz she lost Kelly, she lost Scott, she lost Winner back-to-back-to-back. And then when the merge happened, Val flipped as well over with Mark. So she's went from the dominant alliance that won by getting Garrick. Like she beat Ferris. And now it's just her and her and Rihanna by through no fault of her own really. Like it's circumstantial that happened. And she's just been completely depleted. And when you say wait for the numbers, Mucky, I don't the sucky thing is I don't see where the numbers can come from. Cuz now it's 6-5. And even within her six, Ferris has got four to her two. And then if she flips to be a middle player on the other side, you need five, right?

37:58 To Ferris's four. So then she's still got two to that three. So she's always going to be in the under unless she can really flip a relationship here, which based on what she's done so far with her social game, it's not out of the question. Like that's really been what her strength has been so far. And can she pull it out? But the numbers are just getting tighter and tighter and harder for her to move. You know? But something that's so good about this season though is that like there are so many people who flip-flop every everywhere, right? Like we may see I lean Ferris, Raymond, and Alex being a four, but I think I lean potentially knows well, she'll be able to beat Ferris in the end. So there's a chance maybe at some point she'll turn on Ferris or Ferris turns on her. Alex is you know, flip-flopped between alliances as well. So like the season could still go anywhere, you know? The numbers may I think you're right, Mucky.

38:50 I do think that I agree with both of you to a certain degree, but I do think if this season has shown us anything that there is a lot of game to be played and a lot of movement still to be made until the end here because we've had in this last episode both Carolyn and Kitty turn their back on Ferris and Ferris declared war. So I kind of feel like almost Ferris has like written them off, which means that there's going to be less options for who they work with and they've shown that they're willing to work with the enemy. So they could easily go back to Ree, go back to a Kirby and have some sort of a numbers there to take out some of Ferris's numbers in the future. So I feel like this season is not going to be as straightforward as we saw in Harris versus Villains. Hello is I think watching us probably a few minutes back into the past talking about the Hannah situation. I just want to say fair call. I didn't realize it was nicotine. I thought it was cigarettes. And I do agree definitely not downplaying or comparing the struggles.

39:42 It's hard these kind of things. And like I said, the one thing I think that this has definitely shown me is maybe just to have a bit more compassion myself as well because I've always been that one of those fans that I just you took a spot from someone. And I And I think we spoke about that very well a couple of minutes ago. But yeah, I hear you on that. Hello and welcome to the live as well. I hope you enjoy the show. so yeah, definitely agree. This was a very interesting move. Before we get too far into episode two, we did sort of glance over a little bit the I We mentioned Winna obviously winning the immunity challenge because Jayden just gave it to Winna at the end, which was so strange. And you know, to see JLPs reaction, it was hilarious cuz he never thought he'd probably see it in his life. But obviously we know the relationship those two have. And that's going to blow up later on when Winna gets taken out. But we kind of glanced over Val showing that she's got real sort of determination when it comes to endurance and winning $60,000 in that challenge where they had to hold the ball up, Tom.

40:39 If you were to play Survivor, how difficult would it be because you know instinctively the first challenge at the merge kind of sets the tone. And it lets people know who's going to be the real threats when it comes to immunity challenges or individual challenges. How hard would it be not to go for that $60,000 at that point? And did Val make a mistake or if there's 60k up for grabs at this point in the game, should you always go for it because there's no guarantee you're getting to the end and winning the money, right? Well, I'm planning to win the 60k, the car, and the half a mil. So, I'll comment here. Yeah, you know. No votes and then and then all the votes at the end, you know, perfect game. yeah, no. Yeah, easy dub. yeah, no, it's tough. I would struggle like If I knew I wasn't going to be good at a challenge similar to what Kirby's been doing, yeah, I'd be fine like just batting out early and like appearing as a weak physical player.

41:35 But if I like know there's a challenge I can easily win early on in the merge, it would be tough to resist to resist going for it especially if there's a 60k prize. just because you know, like the competitor in me. But you know, I don't know. I think I would probably stand back early merge depending on my place in the in the game. Yeah. Gabe here says 60k and don't forget safety without power twist as well. So, obviously not having a vote at this point in the game, but being safe at tribal council, not having to worry. It's kind of like having an immunity challenge with or an immunity necklace without having one at that point. And then Arty says from canned food to 60k and a car. she did really play it up, you know, in this episode as well. Didn't she get like the bed or something as well? Was this episode where she got the bed as well?

42:26 And just like everybody was coming to her. She was talking to them one-on-one. Carol like We have to talk about this a little bit. And this kind of I guess it goes over all of the episodes. But you know, Carolyn and Kitty, I just don't know. And this is where like I don't have the same feelings towards Carolyn that Tom has. But Coona like, you know, I love the villains. I love Carolyn and Kitty. They're great villains to watch even though Kitty is struggling being this villainous player in the game. But how old delusional or delusional were they in the regards to the fact that they took out Viola? And they're like, you know, thinking they could just go to Val and get Val on board. And Mark is not to be trusted. He is this conniving player that's come at me twice in the game. Like What's happening here? Make it make sense to us because they were the one who took the first shot, but they're acting like they didn't. Mhm. I didn't mind them taking that first shot, but you got to own it. You got to like commit to your shot.

43:18 You know what I mean? Like taking the shot in order to bring Mark back and then Mark backstabs you and you backstab and then try to bring him back again and just constantly like if you're going to do it, do it and stand by it. And say it with your chest and don't try to like backpedal the whole way through and the whole time because it was a good move to be honest with you as far as like what we found out later was that Vi- Viola was saying she was going to vote Carolyn. She was actively trying to vote Carolyn. So, the fact that they did it you know, in retrospect is a good move. But then they just tried to blanket over it the whole time. No, we didn't do it. Like once you've made that bed, there was no bringing it back. You then have to pivot. And if I've got the three or four strong and I think Mark is in there okay, but I'm not counting on him. I got to now try to make that move to the fair Like they did.

44:11 They went to Ferris. They had four with Ferris. Like that was a good move. Mark is dead to me because he's tried twice. Val is never going to come back to me because she's like revenge vengeance you know, John Wick of Russia. like you know, there's no way. And they should have seen that and just realized the move now is I made that move with Ferris. We did something really good together. This is what I'm riding now because the rest is so tumultuous. And then instantly back I want to add to this. And I know we're a little bit all over the place. But that's what we do here. We talk about all of the highlights of this week, you know. And it's hard not to talk about this week and its completion. But you know, obviously like you said, they made this great move. They got Ferris on board. Ferris really for the first time looked happy that he finally had someone that wanted to work with him in the in the game that is being honest with him. And Carolyn is the whole time is like, "Oh, you know, I don't really like I'm going to the devil.

45:04 I'm going to wheel and deal with the devil here, Tom." Like, "What is it that Ferris has done to these people in the game?" That everybody believes like Ferris is just this That's what it is. it? Is that it? Dodgy car salesman. That's what I'm thinking honestly cuz he's just Really? I just don't get it. He hasn't done anything wrong in the whole game. He hasn't done a single thing wrong. It's absolutely ridiculous. I want to point out what Gabe said about Carolyn and Kitty like not taking into account the emotional reactions from Mark and Valeria. Yeah. I think it's crazy like cuz Carolyn clearly has shown like this week that she's very emotional out there and takes like things really personally. And then to not be able to like think that other people might have emotions and like might go, "Oh, yeah, I really like this person and you got rid of them. I'm not happy about that." Like it Like I do think that like they're playing a really good game, Carolyn and Kitty.

45:59 They're a good duo. But then they also just there's this certain small parts of the game that they're just absolutely dog poo dumpster fire or terrible at. It's like not funny. yeah, so To be fair though, she did she did bulk when Eden brought it. She was like, "There's no way. Like how am I going to bring Mark back?" It was Eden that really pushed it and got her over but Carolyn did call it and say no. Like that's crazy. But Eden got her over the line. But what they should have done then is go, "Look, we can get rid of a Rebel. I totally agree. How about we split on Re like we said and Kirby because Kirby isn't a part of Ferris's immediate alliance. So, that's not going to upset him. And it gets rid of a Rebel which positions us 6-5 and we can still potentially work with Ferris in the future.

46:50 Instead, you're going for the person that Ferris literally cares about the most. Like that is just so stupid. It's all mine. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah, it is This just been a lot of bizarre gameplay really if you think about it. even do What was Eden's logic that Like why Raymond as the most dangerous player in the game? Like I think I think it's because like it's a bit of like a Cirie Fields Panama. Like Raymond's like the Courtney. Like everyone's going to want to take him to the end. So, therefore But it's too early. Like at the final What it was it? The 12? Yeah, the final 12. Like get a couple You can get a couple of like medium level threats out. Like Rihanna out, you know. Like she's not a threat strategically or socially. She's only a threat physically. So, you can get out a couple of them. And then maybe when you're getting closer to the end and you're thinking, "How am I going to get to that final three?" That's when you can maybe take out a Raymond to position yourself.

47:43 I mean, it's what I could have what Adam tried to do in Winners at War. He wanted to keep all like the big like, you know, Boston Robs and your Parvatis and stuff like that around cuz they're the much bigger names for later on. But then the problem is when all the bigger names come together like what Ferris and Kirby did, they're going to come straight for you cuz they recognize what you're trying to do. Yeah, then you're swimming with sharks. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Yeah, so. Hello, thank you so much for saying like and subscribe everyone. This is a great podcast. We really appreciate the love and support. Kate also coming in saying, "Wow, US Survivor was horrible. They make it seem all of America is like 90% of the cast." and I did say no spoilers and say no spoilers of course. But my god, I'm embarrassed by the casting. I think it's the worst casting of the new era by tenfold. myself and Coona are dying inside by you telling us this because both Coona and I will be covering Survivor 46 with our friend Jake on the channel as well.

48:39 And we just came into this saying it's going to be so hard to watch Survivor US compared to what we're seeing in Australia Survivor at the moment, which is such a fascinating gameplay. some of the good, some of the bad, you know, we laugh, we cry, we go through all of the emotions. But that is what makes Survivor great in my opinion when it's a good season. Hello you also says, "Did you guys notice that around episode two when Ferris got the idol and Alex caught him, it made it seem he was not with Alex." In addition, Kirby voted with cuddle crew all for Alex to flip at the end. I think the game has moved so much by then. But Alex obviously was still very early on trying to find his feet. where I think Alex kind of proved himself to Ferris was at that episode when they were trying to come for them with Kirby and that. And then that ended up being a non-tribal where I think Kelly went over to the Titans. And that is where Alex proved his loyalty to Ferris in the game and why he's kind of like And that happened after episode two.

49:32 So, now he's a lot more close. I do think Ferris doesn't see him as part of the inner layer with himself and Aileen and Raymond, but someone that he definitely wants to work with in the game and a part of the loose change alliance for him at least. Gave us also saying Ferras is the most loyal player out there by his actions. I totally agree when it comes to that. let's have a look here at what other people are saying. Hello says and in up siding with Ferras instead of Kirby who stuck out her neck for cuddle crew. Had no idea where Ferras and Alex's kingship came from when they swapped Alex over. like I said, I think Alex proved that loyalty probably a little bit earlier on by providing information. You know, information is the currency in Survivor. If you're willing to put your neck on the line by providing a bit of information about a blindside coming or something like that. I really do think in Survivor it goes a long way when it comes to solidifying. It's probably the second best thing you can do besides voting with someone. Like if you starting to vote with someone and then also you've got Ferras helping Alex get an idol which is crazy.

50:28 And by the way, we haven't spoken much about that. How crazy is that both Alex and Ferras has gone a whole week without playing a freaking idol, Tom. Like I mean, these guys have got some real cojones. They've got cojones because I mean, Alex is a physical threat. Ferras is clearly, you know, one of the biggest threats in the game or no one wants to work with him. How good are both these players at just reading everything at the moment and not playing their idol when Ree just folded at the first little bit of pressure coming her way. Well, actually to be fair on that vote, I think given the circumstances, they actually all three of them should have played their idol because I genuinely thought it was going to go to Rocks. Like I can't believe Jayden folded, but I thought it was going to Rocks and I'm going to tell you a little secret. I was kind of hoping that This is so cruel of me.

51:18 I was hoping it would go to Rocks and Aileen would go out just to spite Mookie cuz he loves he loves Rocks so much and for Rocks to take out his Survivor girlfriend, that would just be like the greatest thing of all. I wish it happened. Aileen, I love you. I think you're great. You're contestant of the Hey. Back up. Back up. I'm not allowed to confess my love as I BACK UP. WATCH OUT, THERE'S COMPETITION, MOOKIE. NO, I think I think Aileen's a great Yeah, she's great fun this season and everything, but it would have been funny because to see Mookie struggle with his favorite twist taking out the girl of his dreams in Survivor. Mookie, I would have I feel like it would have broke you. I don't know if you would have been able to make it to the podcast. Yeah, I mean Rocks.

52:13 I mean, there's only been one tribal so far that's actually broken me. And that's when Sneaky Steve went out. And you know, I watched Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey like three times that day as well as well as Cocaine Bear. And There's so much, hey. Yeah, there's so much. And unfortunately, Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2 hasn't come out yet. So if Aileen can at least hold on until the 26th of March, then I'll at least have some form of coping mechanism. But until then, yeah, I'll be screwed. Ardie says Ferras has good reads. His instinct during episode 15's Tribal Council it was top notch. It was right up there with someone like, you know, he idolizes King George and it was right up there with like a King George kind of read. And you know, Kahuna, you know, Carolyn likes to think of herself as the mafia boss, you know, the godmother of some sort, but Ferras played a godfather move here by just looking at people and saying, "Hey, let's vote.

53:13 Let's put all of the votes on Eden." And it literally happened at Tribal Council. Like Kirby finally got a name. She said this whole episode to Ree, "I don't have a name. I don't know where I'm going." I believe she went into Tribal Council without anybody having spoken to her about anything. She hears last minute, "Let's put it on Eden." She jumps on with her archnemesis to make this vote happen. This was as wild a Tribal Council as you probably could ever get. Yeah, I'm I'm pretty sure at least this was my take on it. Did Val talk herself into a bad like going against her vote again? Like I feel like the way Mark's I don't know if it's like just the work needing to come out or something, but playing the diplomat and trying to bridge that Carolyn and Val thing where they had that at the reward and then at Tribal that talk was so genuine.

54:06 Like it That's what made Ferras go, "Wait a second. Did something happen at this reward challenge?" Cuz this chat seems like they are 100% on board again. Like that's what he was like I saw it and let in the edit which, you know, they give us what we want and what they want in the edit, but I feel like if it was just a snippet in the edit, the 1-hour two I don't 2-hour Tribal Council or however long they go, like I feel like there would have been even more clues, even more little no poker face and tells that, you know, Ferras is picking up. And we got the edit, but imagine how much other crap that these people are giving away. Like when they just keep saying the wrong things. Like, "Oh, we're great. We had a really deep conversation. We put all our things behind us. We're 100% together now going forward." Yeah, like what like what are you doing? They should have like There was there was just no mystery.

54:58 Like, you know, it was like people say if Ferras had a good read and he did, but they were also terrible actors on the other side when it came to you know, at least faking it like, "Oh, it's going to be hard to mend these bridges." And like how did they not go prepared into this Tribal Council with some sort of a game plan? And then Kitty just being like, "I hate lying to people and you know, this game is killing me." And she just had that conversation with Ferras not that long ago on the beach. Like it was it was very difficult to watch and you knew that they were going to pick it up. you kind of touched a little bit on Mark. And you know, I do think Mark is probably one of the better players in that group of Titans. Now that Eden is gone who he had some potential as well. I do feel like the Titans are just going to crumble in a in a massive way here moving forward in the game. But I want to talk about Mark and his, you know, impressive performance here in the challenge, you know, obviously where they had to work in teams and then ultimately he wins the Isuzu you know, ute.

55:54 It wasn't a ute. It was SUV that he won. But you know, again, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I didn't realize that, you know, being a diplomat, doing the work that he did, I somehow thought he would be in a better financial position, but it sounded like, you know, he had a vehicle that wasn't really up to scratch as well, Mookie. And these are the kind of people that you just like seeing it happen to people where they go out there, they get a bit of good fortune cuz you know in Survivor Australia, as much as we love the show, there is only first place and then everybody else. If you don't win the truck, if you don't win the 60K, you walk away with nothing but good memories basically in the season. Yeah, I really felt for Mark because just like myself, the only vehicle I have are my two cheeky long legs, right? So that's how I get They're not even that dependable. No one None of you guys have ever seen Mookie walk, you know, he's very uncoordinated. I slipped and fell a long way for the signal to get from the brain to the feet.

56:47 Like Yeah, exactly. So Let me change what I what I said. Most of my, you know, movement is done from my shoulders to my stomach. So I roll and pull my way around Auckland. But yeah, no, like it's always nice like seeing these moments especially when they go towards someone who like really deserves it. Like we saw it with Simon last season how he just completely broke down, how he changed jobs to a minimum wage in Australia or something. And he could never afford a car like this. And something with Mark, it's really nice seeing these nice positive things happen for people who like really need it, yeah. Yeah, very happy about that. CD, welcome to the live as well. Longtime fan of the podcast, longtime subscriber. We really appreciate you checking back in. Saying Australian Survivor is really good. It's better than Survivor US. I feel like we having Groundhog Day here, CD, because everybody who's popping into the live is saying that. And we've been saying it a few times as well.

57:37 We haven't watched the new episode of Survivor in the US yet, but I just know like instinctively. Like I'd be happy to be wrong and Survivor 46 prove me wrong and be this great season, but I think it's going to be very difficult for it to top Australian Survivor. Australian Survivor is just doing everything right, Tom. Like I mean, even we're not talking too much about next week on Survivor, but we've got the bloody auction coming back. And we know it's not going to be that fake auction that they had for 45. It's going to be the real deal, right? There's going to be an advantage. There's going to be some cool twists to it. it just feels like Survivor US is Survivor light on all levels when it comes to Australian Survivor at the moment. Yeah, it's just it's such a shame like it's so easy Oh, then not easy, but I feel like there are so many things that Survivor US could do to make all their seasons as better.

58:30 And then it's like not even Yeah, oh, they got the budget. cuz I remember hearing the reason they are not doing the auction in Survivor 46 is because they didn't have like the resources for it or something. I'm like, "Make a chocolate milkshake. Put it there. How hard is that? Like it's literally the like you can't tell me that Yeah, you can't tell me it's harder to make an auction work than one of those insane challenges where like you need like 50 people to spend like three days building the set. Like Oh, it's so stupid. And I just think that you know, they're very sort of up themselves at this point and they're just not listening to like the feedback of the fans who are ultimately the people who drive the entire Survivor you know, Jeff had a had a I know we're going off topic and I'm sorry for people who don't watch Survivor US.

59:29 We're fans of the whole franchise. So we're going to talk about both franchises at some point. But, he had a podcast with Rob Cesternino not that long ago where he basically said like, you know, "I really don't like it not in that many words." But, he basically said, "If you don't like it, so be it. Like, I'm making the show for myself and for kids. So, as long as kids love it, the parents can watch it with them." Like, that is what I'm into. I want to make it this fun, goofy show instead of it being about what the like Why does Why did Jeff just not create a Survivor for kids? Like, a second offshoot that he could put on Paramount. And leave Yeah, leave like the proper Survivor the way that it was. Like, this thing was built on the backs of legends, titans of this game, villains. Naked man was the first winner. A naked gay man was the first winner, and it became the biggest thing in the world.

1:00:19 Like Yeah. People from that season were on movies, like in TV shows. Like, it was huge when it was what it was. And now people are saying, "Ah, we're going to watch it." Blah. Like, you know? Yeah. Yeah. And kind of say he wants to make it for kids, but like I was I was obviously a kid growing up watching Survivor. And like And like I'd Like, it's only nerds now. Like kids don't want to just watch a bunch of nerds living on an island. Like when I when I saw Ozzy, I grew up If I grew up, I can be just like Cochran. Can't wait to become Cochran 2.0. No, even worse. I wouldn't mind being Cochran, but I can be just like Brando. Ooh. Lucky me. Yeah, like or Drew or whatever, but Yeah, like cuz you can just get Brandon as well, and it would have been just as bad. Or Drew.

1:01:09 Like, there was so many on one season. Brandon's hilarious. I love I love Brandon. But, No, like my very first season I ever watched was the original Fans vs. Favorites. And like I remember seeing Ozzy and I'm just thinking, "This guy is the And James." I'm like, "These people are so cool." Like, and you had you had like two or three of those at least each season that you could just Man, like I love this person so much. And now it's just like Only me. Yeah, the people who are in modern seasons like I have my favorites, but like they're like down here compared to like the Ozzys and the Jameses and the Parvatis. Yeah, I'll include a woman in there so I don't get roasted again. you know, Like My favorites My favorites get me in trouble. Like, you know, I'm a I'm a big Gabler fan. And people don't like Gabler. I love I love I love Phillip.

1:02:01 Yeah, I love Phillip Gabler. I love star. Yeah. Rock star was fun. Probably my two favorite characters are Mike Holloway and Mike White. I mean, the Mikes just bring it for Survivor, you know? They really do. Yeah, they really do. You don't count. You're a monkey. Yeah. And at least they bring back endurance. Endurance is Survivor for kids. I totally agree. That would be amazing. let's see what other people are saying here. Jonathan says apparently Aileen was the one who first needed to realize something was up before calling the actual shot. She was very close to Eden and didn't want to believe that he would turn that quickly. So, a bit of additional information coming out there. Jonathan also says Scott that longer did last longer than the US season. That's true. If he was on a US season, he would have been in the final three. Yeah. so, probably proof that I still think that, you know, being out there for longer is probably harder than what we're seeing.

1:02:54 It's not necessarily harder just starving people for 26 days. Gabe says advantage hidden inside of a chicken parm. Finally. Is that confirmed? Are we going to see an advantage in a chicken parm? that would be interesting. Kate asking, "Did you see what Jaden said about one of the hosts of Talking Trouble?" Yep, we spoke about that a little bit earlier on. I will be sure to clip some shorts of that and put it up in different spots as well so people can Are you going to clip the bit where I called him a [ __ ] Yeah, definitely. We always follow that one. Like, we can turn them We can turn them We can turn them on you next, Connor. Help We'll help Shannon out. You'll take one for the team. Yeah, so Yeah, I know. I just crazy. Just crazy that he was taking shots like that. I still don't fully understand it. we saw In this time we saw a lot of interesting challenges.

1:03:44 Again here dominated, I would say, mainly by females. Like, you know, Australian Survivor is really what the internet want. Because if you think about it, they always want women to outlast the men these days on the internet. They're like, you know, all about Get a strong group of women to the end. Let them win all of the immunities. Australian Survivor really caters to that need, Tom. Is that why you feel this You know, you've always said if you're out there, you'd be targeting the young, fit woman. Because it's kind of proven again. Val's winning challenges. Reece going out there winning challenges at this point. Like, you know, a lot of these endurance challenges seems like it's catered to them. Yeah, well, like I've always seen my biggest strength that applies to challenges in Survivor is my endurance abilities. And I feel like you know, like the women probably could kick my ass in that department. But, if I'm there with a bunch of men and like let's say the elder women, like Carolyn, I'm probably going to be a very calling Carolyn weak?

1:04:45 Are you saying she's a weak player in Survivor? Not only is she a weak player, she's the weakest player and she doesn't deserve to be there. Or but in a Russian accent. Yeah, you made it sound cute, Tom. Like, when Val said it did not sound cute at all. It sounded like a threat. Yeah, well, yeah, what can I say? I make everything sound cute. Isn't that right, Gabe? He's actually agreeing with you for once. He's like, "I hate agreeing with Tom, but statistically he's right. Women win the final challenges in Australian Survivor." That's why I don't want I don't want them there, you know? You know, like I want to be there with two Jadens cuz I'll tell you what, Jaden's not like lasting that long in a challenge, you know? Yeah. Is it just cuz men are just Are we Women are just more patient? They have to put up with more stuff living with us. They can just endure more pain by being in the world by being in the Us putting up with them.

1:05:39 What are you talking about, Connor? That's why I've been married for 15 years. Cuz I Touche. Touche. Cuz I know I He's willing to put up with it. Fiddlesticks coming in hot saying, "I heard Jaden triggered armchair strategist and hit a nerve." Yeah, like apparently it did. Like, I don't know if you're taking a shot I don't think if you're taking yeah. I don't know if Basically, you're saying that it triggered a nerve with the armchair strategist. Is that right? Because we're kind of like all on the side here of Shannon. We watched it. Didn't seem like she was like going that hard on him, to be honest. And yeah, she hasn't played the game before, but neither have any of us. we all like to comment about things.

1:06:30 Have some opinions. We're fans. We're opinionated. What can we say, you know? but obviously it I would say it triggered Jaden to the point where he felt like he had to hit back, which I still don't understand, to be honest with you. it's funny that Like, what I got the vibe from that was knowing the type of guy that Jaden is cuz I know that type of guy. Like, I grew up I grew up around him. Like, I know what he was doing. And that's like, someone talks [ __ ] you talk back, right? Like, you know, that's what That's what he's But, he's got a million followers. Yeah, but he's also doing it to Shannon. It's like the wrong Like, this is not some dude in Campbelltown 2560. Like, you know, and going at each other. This is just some podcast on the on the TV. Like, you don't need to like take shots. They're not coming for your territory or anything. Man, like relax. Like, you know, you don't need to It's not the streets.

1:07:22 Fight for. Yeah, you don't need to fight Shannon. Like, it's weird. And really say apparently then Jaden makes it to the final three. It's possible. It's possible Jaden could get there. Because, I mean, listen, if I was playing the game, I would want Jaden there. I don't know if I could play with him because clearly, like, we've spoken about a lot. Let's talk about the actual move where I guess all the controversy came from the fact that he switched up his move. Like, Darth Jaden. Like, is there is there Like, okay, Mucky, you're thinking he's this underdog. He could win the thing and he's Yeah, what did you call him? Like, diamond in the rough? I think he's a dark horse. Where did diamond in the rough come from? He IS A DARK HORSE. CUZ everyone else is bad. It's To mate, you say tomato, I say tomato. It sounds all the same to me at this point, to be honest. Ah, yeah, that's right. You're now an Australian, so I guess our languages don't sync up anymore, Chris.

1:08:15 But, Yeah, I've just from Australia? I'm from New Zealand, actually. From Aotearoa. Aotearoa. but, yeah, I've actually got a good case for Jaden why I think this is a good move. Okay. Yeah. We're here. Get out of your talk show. I do want to say it. 100%. You got to follow through with a claim like that. I'm giving it to yourself. I've got a great reason. Yeah. Yeah. All right. All right, guys. Guys, I've got a really good for this. He didn't prepare for this. All right, I'm back. All right, so here's why I think it's a good move. So, there's a lot of different cliques going around, right? But, Jaden isn't necessarily in one of them. You've got the middle-age mafia, which is pretty much fraction. It does not become a five cuz Mark has brought Val into it, right? But, then also the invisible hand, Mark and Eden.

1:09:06 If sort of watch closely, they have kind of always been working together, right? On the rebel side, you've got Rhiannon Kirby. And so, you've got Alex, Aileen, Raymond, Ferris, right? But, who does Jaden have? He had winner, but he's not actually really tight with anyone else, right? And so, I think by flipping here on Aiden, you sort of loosen the numbers up a bit, right? So then there's more of a free-flowing game. And I think what he needs to hope for now, which it did show in the preview, Kirby's eventually going to go after Ferris, right? Which then you sort of break that group up, right? It becomes a bunch of individuals then, right? think that Jayden was thinking about the game to that level? Like you actually think he was sitting there thinking to himself, "Okay, we've got this stalemate right here, but I've got some movement in the game because clearly someone like Kirby and Ferris, they're not going to be able to work together in the game.

1:10:03 I can easily jump onto one of those alliances." You actually think that Jayden had that thought in his mind while he was doing his midnight like reps, getting running around on the beach, doing a little bit of boxing, he had that clarity of mind, you know? I mean, I do my best thinking when I'm in the gym as well. I'm just sort of trying to get to your, you know, I know you understand the gym bros like that, Mookie. Can you Can you explain to me, you know, as a gym bro yourself, is he came up with this plan? Well, since the thing I live by is called accidental geniuses-ism, right? Where you sort of do things like Genius-ism? that is Genius-ism? genius-ism. But it sort of somehow works in your favor. And I think by Jayden doing this, like yes, he was safe from the rock draw, right? Everyone's complained about that. But I think by Aiden going, he's actually opened up a big part of the Titans that he can then be more into later, right? Because there's also the question of who's coming for Jayden.

1:10:56 You get what I mean? I think I think what I think is happening here, Coona, is that you know, Mookie is shook after seeing how Jayden came off the Shannon this week that he's just trying to get on his good side here. He doesn't want No, what are you doing? You don't know what you're talking about. He doesn't want any of the smoke, Coona. I'll easily like take Jayden in a game of tackle bull rush anytime, any place, right? Like Yeah, I played high school rugby. Same. Same. Same. Same. Okay. I don't think I don't think I think Jayden in the moment, Tom, was looking at it. He's like, "This is my opportunity. I can, you know, I get one shot, one opportunity. I can be the one person here to throw this whole thing upside down, put my vote where I need it to be here, and say that I made a big move for winner." And was it great for TV?

1:11:50 100%. I just still find it very For TV, it's great. I like the fact that he that he brought that up. What do you think rocks The rocks would have been better. Like it was good like no matter what, we're getting an entertaining outcome given like the situation, like but and also I can't believe Mookie is defending a move that denied rocks. Like, you know? He's not a true lover of rocks. That's what we've determined inside. Like he's just lost his fan stand card when it comes to the rock draw. I feel like he's been faking it for many years here on the podcast talking about how he wants rocks to be a thing to suddenly just turn his back when we had the first real opportunity on Australian Survivor. Honestly, No, no, give Tom the mic. Let the You had your moment, Mookie. Thank you. Yeah, thank you, master. Jeez. I'm just saying, Aileen, be aware of this guy because one minute he loves rocks, the next minute he doesn't care about them, and that could be the same with you.

1:12:41 So I just want to I want to protect you, Aileen. you know, there's someone right above me in this live who lives in Melbourne as well. He's closer, a lot more accessible than Mookie, I'll say that. Yeah, he drinks a lot less chocolate milk, so he's honestly way better way better option. But no, I think I don't think he I honestly don't even know what to think about what Jayden was thinking cuz I could I couldn't answer that question. I don't know why he did that. He like it might work out for him because he's obviously at the bottom and he's the number that people from the rebels might actually want to use. Like it's going to it's going to hurt Caroline and Kitty and all that way more than it's hurting Jayden. but yeah, it's still such a stupid move and I really wish we saw rocks and oh, and Caroline got the Merry Christmas to me.

1:13:39 It'd be the best thing ever. Oh, dang it, Jayden. All I got to say is that if it's either a advantage played, right? And it says rock draw advantage, I've got conversations with producers. I've been trying to make that an advantage for so long. Rock Island is what I've been calling it. So if that ever happens, I'm a game changer. You can play with that's why that's why, you know, the producers no longer answer to Mookie's DMs, you know? He's been putting in there. Gabe's saying, "Wait a minute, can someone from New Zealand apply to Australian Survivor?" No, they can't. That's why I moved to Australia. Well, Mookie did it. Yeah, I did apply, but what I think though is that I think I think some people like cuz if I've obviously been Americans, I think David was living in America.

1:14:30 Like you Yeah, but David was also a supermodel with a big following. There's Mookie. There's Mookie, and then he's like, "Jayden and David." supermodel with a big following, and he's like, "He's like me." What four abs? Yeah, but I think I do think though that there could be a chance cuz I just think for this season, you know, they're very specific when it comes to who they wanted to cast. Like local Australians, right? You know, they didn't really want to go the celebrity route again. They've really done that for the past few seasons. They're quite specific on local Australians, so but I could never see a chance where they open up to New Zealand Yeah, I mean, I could see I could see a theme of Battle of the Tasman What is it? Tasman Sea, you know, like Yeah. Big Brother is his little brother type of Australia versus New Zealand.

1:15:22 I could see that as a Yeah. Wouldn't it be just like everything else of the rivalry between New Zealand and Australia where Australians are like, "Oh, there's a rivalry? Okay, New Zealand. Okay." All I got to say is Look at the Bledisloe Cup stats and you tell me who's boss, all right, Coona. Okay, there's one thing in all of New Zealand history that you can keep Hey, let them have it, Coona. Let them have it. Come on, mate. Don't take that one thing away from Mookie. we also have Jonathan saying, "Rocks equals short-term entertainment. This equals long-term chaos." I think so as well. So I think in the long term, this has been a good outcome for the show. Gabe says rocks would have made this season go down in Australian Survivor history. and then Kate said, "Couldn't have put it better, John." Who's John? Tom? Jonathan. Jonathan?

1:16:12 All right. Yeah. all right, he's talking to the other John in the chat. That makes sense. Gabe's saying, "It's late, guys, over here. It's been a long week." Is all I'm going to say, you know. Forgive me. Gabe's saying, "Jayden had Jayden had immunity, he wouldn't have even drawn a rock." Yes, so you would have been double safe. There's no reason. John says, "David, Way, Benny, America, Tess, Shawnee, and England." Tess and Shawnee from England. If they can't If they can't cast me, all right. And then you've got the two Russian girls now. So like there's always still that chance. Yeah, they're Aussie. They're Aussie. Yeah. So I think the bigger mistake than Jayden's move is the fact that he was able to make that move because I've been saying for ages, I think the biggest mistake is that no one's bringing him in and really solidifying him. Aiden was saying, you know, "I'm the master and he's the partner one." But I didn't see any of that the whole season, right?

1:17:07 Like he just said it in this one episode, and it happened to be like, you know, laying the foundation for the exit confessionals like to get the contrast at the end. But I really think Jayden should have been just the loyal number that you bring in and you just like he should have been like George's Jerry, you know, like he really should be that like Mark should get on him, Ferris should get on like someone needs to bring him in and just solidify him as a number because he's been voting with Caroline and Kitty without any like not even liking them. Like he's been going with the numbers because they've said it, but not through any sense of loyalty, and we saw that immediately with winner, right? So if someone can actually bring him in and play on that sense of loyalty, he's I think he's a loyal number that is going to potentially win some challenges and help that way as well, you know? Yeah, I do agree with you.

1:17:58 I think it's very interesting how he's played the game so far and how people haven't seen that as a number, but maybe it is the unpredictability in someone like Jayden where he doesn't really give much. They'll ask him, "Who do you want to vote for?" And he's like, "I don't know." You know, he doesn't really like you don't want to be talking to someone that you feel like you're talking to a tree, you know? Like you want to feel like there's another human being on the other side of this and there's a two-way conversation happening at the same time. So I can understand Has anyone told him, "We're going to the end. It's me and you." Like regardless of strategy, regardless of votes, Like that's what I mean. No one's actually like choosing this guy, and he's just like, "I'm just a free agent. I'll do whatever. I'll vote whatever. I'll But I feel like it's because he's been standoffish with sharing information, taking actively part in conversation. Like it's hard to have a second in charge that doesn't really like add value to the relationship or the alliance.

1:18:54 So I can understand why people have been standoffish off Yeah. Yeah, Raymond's definitely coming across like that, but I feel like in Raymond's case, and again, I want to acknowledge at this point it's an edited show. So we may miss out on the mastermind that Jayden is and the very deep philos- philosophical, you know, conversations that he has about life and things like we might have been missing out on all of that, you know? and it's just not making the cut. in the case of someone like a Raymond, I do feel like Raymond I feel like he's a bit of like he's an interesting cookie character. Like he makes jokes and stuff like that while the Tribal Council is on. He's saying you know I what was it like I feel my pulse moving, you know? Like he seems like he's a bit of a cookie character and he's got some humor to him but we're not seeing his personality, Tom. He's someone that you very early on said he's your favorite, your dad and yourself you love watching him perform in the challenges and things like that.

1:19:48 I know you were kind of saying that tongue in cheek a little bit earlier but this guy clearly like there must be a reason why he's not getting an edit and I've got a suspicion if Ferris gets to the end it's because he's probably there with him and he gets no votes. Like and they can't show the person getting no votes being too likable on the show either. Oh, I think everyone like loves him and they've shown people liking him but he's just I don't even think he knows like what game he's playing, what country he's in, if he's if he really is alive or not. Like I reckon he's just like a little like starfish just in the sea just you know, just not thinking about anything. That's what Raymond is to me. That's why I like seeing him on screen so much cuz he's just like Although Raymond did have a bit of controversy this week as well, right?

1:20:40 Oh, what happened? that Oh, he had that comment was it this week or last week? But he dropped that comment about how Aileen's really got nothing going on after this GAME ANYWAY. LIKE AND THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE, TOO. CAME OUT OF NOWHERE. IT WAS SO that was that was one of the best moments of that was one of the best moments of all. I kind of feel like it was it was like when we did the cast assessment and Aileen was like I'm a sales person but I also work in the family restaurant and I was like you can't be a successful sales person and work in a sales restaurant at the same time. Like most successful sales people don't need two jobs. They get good commission, you know? So like all you're working for a place that doesn't offer you commission, which it's not a true sales job in that case, you know? So yeah I think that Raymond's got a bit of a spicy personality. We're not seeing a lot of that but clearly to me tells me that if he does get to the end he's probably not someone that's going to win this and I feel that's probably a good part of the live show for us to go over who do we think are those front runners right now in the game.

1:21:42 Like I know it's very difficult. It's an open field. Normally we throw out four names for the for the sake of it and we have some fun with the people that we think could potentially win it and I think to myself clearly there's not really four people in it in Australian Survivor at this point. It should be one or two that clearly is going to win the show. This season I kind of feel like we could very easily throw out four names and not actually know who the front runners are. So Tom, I'm going to go to you. Who do you think at this point like who's situated themselves best to go to the end? I still think edit wise like it's so hard to ignore Valeria but if I'm ignoring edit completely and I'm just looking like at like positioning Mhm. I was honestly going to say probably like Eden before I watched the last episode but Oh, it's actually it's so hard. I know like Raymond and Jade and my two picks to make it to the end but like I don't think either of them are winning.

1:22:39 I'll just yeah, I'll just say Valeria. I honestly can't I honestly don't see Valeria anymore. Like after this week I just felt like she's too brutal and she's consistently been brutal. She's got no remorse. unless she yeah, unless she cracks and breaks down and does like a Fabio and talk about how she thought about her mother growing up in Russia and how much she did for her and this will go back. Like I just don't see her having that moment. I feel like emotionally it would be difficult for people to connect with her and like her enough to vote for her. Like I just don't I just don't see it at this point. I think Valeria is she's coming across as a like I think she's probably a great person in real life and like Kahuna said it's the whole Russian accent and everything but she's probably just like more for like a villainous edit that she's getting at the moment.

1:23:29 Like I just don't I don't see it but I could be wrong. I've been wrong in the past. I'd just be shocked if people could just put behind them how cutthroat she's been at this point and the comments she's made at Ferris and his alliance and specifically at Aileen and then having shots at Caroline for them to turn around and be like, yeah, we're going to vote for this person in the end. maybe if she sits next to Jade and it's a possibility but it's going to be tough in my in my opinion. not to completely [ __ ] over your pick there, Tom. Jade and Raymond. Yeah, maybe if it's Jade I can see that. Yeah, if she's with them maybe. Yeah. Mucky, who do you think at this point? Who's in that position for you? Well, once again it's Aileen. Like I was I just had to keep beating this drum. Aileen's in the perfect position going forward. Like in spots where she should have been targeted because of Ferris and Alex having idols Yeah.

1:24:20 Raymond gets targeted over her. Do you get what I mean? And so I think that Aileen is set in a prime spot where like she's like a big enough threat where people are worried that like an idol could potentially be played on her but she's not as big of a threat like a Ferris where all the attention is on her, right? And so oops, sorry I just hit my mic but that's how I like I can truly see her like making her way towards end cuz there's still so many big fish to fry and like the prime point with big players in the game like Mark, Ferris, Kirby. I can see one with even potentially two of them getting taken out this week. So Listen, I don't I don't disagree with your take on her getting to the end. I just don't see her winning, unfortunately. I think she's a good player of the game. I think she's got great strategic mind for the game.

1:25:11 The edit is just telling me she's not winning because she's the edit is never going to her for her opinion about anything. and that to me it's hard to see her be that winner even with like a Liz last season. We constantly had her in the edit at least getting one confessional telling us about her thoughts and feelings about something and you're like, why is the edit showing us Liz when she's not really running the show at the moment? I just don't get that vibe from Aileen at all. Like even when we go back to the first season of Australian Survivor where Kristie Bennett won it, a lot of people were shocked but she had a pretty consistent edit throughout the show and she had opinions and takes even though she wasn't running the strategy at points. I just don't see that same kind of edit here for her to be an under edited winner or under the radar kind of winner winning the show but I could be wrong. Listen, they the edit has been mixed up this season so I don't disagree she's probably going to go as someone that gets to the to the end, maybe even to the final, potentially don't get votes or just lose out by maybe some votes and that's why we're just not seeing that strategic side from her.

1:26:11 We didn't see her questioning the vote that Ferris wanted to make in this episode. So if that is true and Aileen was the last person that Ferris needed to convince, we never really saw that in the edit and I would question why we're not seeing that if she is having these big strategic conversations with Ferris at this point. Kahuna, over to you. Who do you think is going to be the winner based on what you've seen so far? Well, I picked in episode one right? And I still think episode 15 Ferris is still looking good. Jonathan Gray, I learned a long time ago on Million Dollar Island that this man is very rarely wrong. so Ferris, Kirby, Mark would be Yeah, they would I wouldn't say they'd be the final three like to get to the final three but they'd be the top three for me like to get there. I think Ferris is in the best position right now with the people There's 11 people left.

1:27:04 He's got a faction within a majority of six. He's got a faction of four. So he's got the numbers and two of those four have idols. And two of those four are also him and him and Alex. obviously along with the like the reason and endurance of the world but those two are two of the best immunity challenges as well, right? Like in the final run as well. Yeah, so they're looking like in a really good position and if it does get to the end with a Raymond and an Aileen, you're talking about an edit like anyone sitting next to Ferris is going to look horrible and I think if he can get there he's winning. I will say this, Andrélie, that is the outcome I would love to see Caroline the bunny boiler winning the show. The bunny boiler? It Listen, she's not Andrélie.

1:27:56 I don't know. Cuz that reference is about 40 years old. I don't get the reference. It's a movie called Fatal Attraction where a crazy a crazy like side affair, she goes crazy and then actually boils the family's bunny as a as a So that became a term bunny boiler but that movie is like 35 years old or something. That's why I want to see it, Gabe. That's why I want to see it. I want to see Caroline win to see Tom's reaction. He would then have to say that Kristie Bennett is no longer his least favorite winner of Australian Survivor and that would pain him. Actually Kristie Bennett. Thank you very much. Yeah. After look, I'm glad Caroline is in there cuz yeah like I like you said before like about villains like that you don't like, they make you feel things and like yeah like I deeply care about her getting out.

1:28:51 And so No. So like when she stays in I'm like, god dang it, you know? Like next time, you know? And then like yeah and when she does get voted out because she will get voted out. I'm going to be like I'm going to be celebrating and like I like Kitty. I mean I like I like how I think it was Valeria pointed out when Kit No, Valeria or when Kitty talks to you she gets really close to you and she just looks at you like with that face and I've noticed I've been noticing it for a few episodes. Like the expression on the face she's like one eye is this way another eye is this way She looks into your soul. Yeah, it's just so funny. so I'm a real I'm a real person for like, you know, personal space. Like, you know, there's like a bubble you shouldn't be invading and then I feel like Kitty is one of those like close talkers that's like really in your face when she's talking to you.

1:29:44 Yeah. so that would be a bit jarring for me if I was out there and I had to talk to someone but my pick last week I was kind of on the Val train. I could see it. I've definitely agree with a lot of people in the live last week and even some of the people in the live here and the podcast saying that there is flaws there which I think was I looked out for it even more so in this week where I'm no longer on the Val train. Be happy to be wrong. it'll be an interesting story to see how she can turn it around especially with her current position as well in the game. and Ferris was someone that Kahoona I was on to him early with you and I thought Ferris had a really good shot. The edit loves him. I find it fascinating that this whole week we would not hear from Ferris at all until it came down to the pre-tribal segment of the game. Every single time his first confessional was just before hitting tribal and it was just when the strategy started ramping up. Somehow Ferris still got a little bit of content in there.

1:30:36 You said he's the person with the most confessionals. That surprises me because he hasn't been getting a lot of confessionals this week but they gave him key confession confessionals where he was involved in some strategy of where the vote was going to go. He always seemed to know where the vote was going to go and now that Scotty left the game, I think when Scotty left the game I was all back in and on Ferris because suddenly he's in the driver's seat. He's got some numbers and he's got a willingness to move around. I know Kirby's going to try take a shot at him. If Kirby wins that battle then Kirby would go right up there for me as the person that I think is going to win this game. I had Kirby above him at some point because she had the numbers but now that he's starting to get the numbers back on his side, I feel like Ferris is right there in the driver's seat someone that could win this season as a whole but I do like the three names that was mentioned there, Ferris, Kirby and Mark. I just think Mark made a big mistake this week trying to go back to the Titans.

1:31:27 Good thing about Mark, he said to us, you know, as a channel I've reached out to him, he's more than open to coming on to the podcast if we can get it cleared by channel 10 as well so at some point we could probably talk to him about what was the motivation to try and get the Titans back together after they already tried to take you out after shots have been fired both ways. I'd be very fascinated to know what type of conversations were being had because to me it's still a crazy concept that they almost made it happen. They just ran out of runway which once again proved that having Jayden in the game above Viola, I feel like Viola would have gone with them in this moment. The Viola move really did make things hard for everybody in the Titans tribe going into the merge. let's have a look at a couple more final comments here before we finish off the live. So we've got Andre saying Mark goes out six like Simon and all car winners in Australian Survivor.

1:32:18 So the car curse will hit Mark most likely at this point. Danica says, "Hello everybody, not really here but tuning in anyway or tuning in anyway. I'm getting coffee ready and driving everyone around. I'll catch up later." Danica is always driving when she jumps on the lives but we appreciate you Danica. Thanks for listening. Thanks for popping in as well. Please leave a comment after you've watched the podcast later on and let us know what you agree with, what do you disagree with. We're really keen to know your thoughts on this week of Survivor. we also have Andre saying, "I have been a fan of Survivor since the first season originally aired." Hey, I've been a fan. Kahoona's been a fan originally since it's aired as well. Doesn't mean you need to be too old. Doesn't mean you have to be 50 or 60. 2016 Yeah. I'm day one from 2016. The problem is and this is going to this is why I feel bad is yeah, I was a fan of season one but I was 20.

1:33:14 Yeah. Of what? Survivor? Yeah. I was 21 or something. Yeah. I always feel like man, I've been an adult. It's that Asian genes, man. You still look like you're 30. You look at least like 15 years younger. Thank you. But yeah, like I was a grown adult when Survivor started. That's crazy. Gabe says this was probably Ferris' best week in the game. Totally agree. Andre saying they should have shown Ferris and Winner and Walla talk at Tribal Council. Walla. Who's Walla? Walla. That got me. Ferris and Winner talk at Tribal Council. That would have been interesting. I'm assuming there was some juicy things being said between the two of them. I think Andre mentioned at the start of the podcast that there was something from Winner's exit interviews where the Walla joke or something came up as a reference.

1:34:07 Here's a very familiar face to the channel, Delores all the way from Melbourne, Florida in the live saying, "Hi all Kahoona, I saw season one too. I was older with a kid." There you go. Respect. been Yeah, that's wisdom. Wisdom and experience. So for Tom and Mucky who's not on the channel all the time, Delores has been with us since our first 50 subscribers here on the channel. Really an OG of the channel. Have supported us from day one. Really appreciate you tuning in Delores. Jonathan says, "Given that we haven't started jury yet technically I wonder what the last non-elim will be." Now, I've got something. So just before everyone goes, "Oh, they rigged the game for Ferris, Island, Kirby, Mark, you know, whichever big player gets taken out either next week or the one after." Statistically looking at non-elims and when they happen like Escoona, he mentioned it to me a while ago.

1:35:00 I called it when the week two and week four non-elims like there would be non-elim that week. There should be at least one non-elim that will happen either next week or the one after because we saw in Heroes vs. Villains happened like at the final six but sometimes they tried to do it around like final eight-ish or like with Purgatory happened at final 10. So Oh, Purgatory. Don't say it. Yeah, so before everyone jumps to the red comments, those are two exits that's most likely going to happen either next week or the one after. Yeah. Now, it'll be interesting to see what happens there. I mean, in Australian Survivor that does not necessarily taint your reputation as a winner. In some cases it only boosts it. When you come back from Purgatory you are seen as the goat, you know, so I don't think that not my personal goat but a lot of people do believe Hayley is the best to ever play Australian Survivor and really sort of they were standing out hard after she got voted out and came back into the game and won the season.

1:35:57 So I know my opinion I've never been a fan of it but there's a lot of people in Australian Survivor who really don't care about that twist and says it's part of the game and to be fair everybody if you've watched the show long enough now you kind of know it's part of it, right? So it's coming at some point. Andre says, "Walla swear to god I am voting for you Wanna at Tribal Council." So it's in it's in Arabic. Swear to god. Walla swear to god, bro. Walla bro. I got you. I'm going to vote for you Walla, bro. Like that. Gabriel is saying jury removal I've always believed is best non-elimination post-merge Redemption Island ones. I hate yeah. Not a big fan of any of those returning sort of twists. Andre saying "Did ask Ferris to say Walla." Yeah, so Winner asked Ferris to swear to god to say Walla. But yeah.

1:36:50 Brendan says, "Just tuned in. I've missed Have I missed anything? Song about the best player of the season perhaps? A song about the best player of the season?" No, you Brendan. It's a surprise for later. Ah. Surprise for later. Mucky has Stevie sneaky Steve songs. There may be another one in production. Just got to I didn't even do anything and I like that. I saw your hands go in THE AIR. MY MIND is amazing. I can literally manifest them now. Okay, guys. thank you so much for tuning in for the recap and review of this week's Survivor action. If you have not subscribed to the channel yet, please consider subscribing now. Hit the like button. Put the notification bell on. 1:37:41 If you're a big fan of Survivor US, Kahoona and myself will be putting ourselves through 90 minutes of Survivor US to see if it's going to be up to the level of Australian Survivor. I'm hoping I'm hoping that the season will be good and we will be back on Saturday if you're in Australia. It's going to be around 10:00 a.m. in the morning on Saturday morning or if you're over in the US it should be around 6:00 p.m. I believe Australian East sorry, Eastern Standard Time in New York.
