0:00 And we are back with day 28 of Survivor 46 and 46 Tony just won Survivor Kagan I know I promised you guys yesterday that I would probably do this one earlier but life got in the way and so now I'm gonna have to pull an all nighter finish in one Del sir before my busy day tomorrow anyway today we're joined by Eric everybody just joined the LRG side of the community last summer I believe yeah Rookie of the Year nothing thank you for joining and just go right off the bat Kagan is usually looked at as one of if not the best all newbie Seasons now whether you believe that or not I at first want to get your opinion on why people hold it in such high regard among all these other Seasons that have you know equally good casts why do you think it's Kagan that always just looked at as the best when it comes to newbies well honestly I think that started my experience into my Survivor experience you know like obviously it was on Netflix first that's how I saw Survivor so like it had to be a great season if it's on Netflix they only put like two seasons that's true so it was that and Heroes versus Villains but Heroes versus Villains which is a great season I know you covered it phenomenal

1:21 Season but it had too many people who if you're new be who the [ __ ] is I'm sorry for cursing but who the like really like who the [ __ ] are those guys like you got to know yeah it's that's I mean Heroes is always going to be my favorite but I think where Kagan works is you could show it to a newbie and they you know you can you can find people to get attached to there's not there's not already this Aura of who this person is you know comes in and Sandra and rert and all that have Back stories but here it's like okay these are all people don't know yeah especially for me like since I'm a newbie that season the reason why I reached out to you to do this season was this season was my you know experience of you like learning Survivor so I think that was pretty dope when I because I love basketball so when I realized like Cliff Robinson who like I was like R to him you know like to C but like I was like no way he's on this show like he was Savage like me watching basketball yeah he talks about his stats he's like I played more games than Michael Jordan Larry Bird and all these other people and we're gonna we do

4:01 Like remember when who's a very interesting character because yes the wrong decision taking Tony and yes you know he was kind of a goofball but I do feel like he was a very he kept the season from getting two series not gonna root for a guy like that yeah and I mean Woo's getting chairs at the reunion when Jeff's ready to read the votes people are chanting woo in the audience and it's like these people do realize he's going to lose right but I don't think that they cared I just think that because woo was such a fun character for them to latch on to W gain this following that eventually takes them into the Second Chances or puts them on the Second Chances ballad for him to come back and I agree with you that go ahead Sor no who was like a fan favorite like just that character I think that's when like if I had to say like the first time I play like you know these games I wanted to emulate W's personality just that loving go-lucky guy who could just like hey you want to join us like come through like I think that was just R strategy I felt like he should have just talked more to it but we're gonna like you said we're GNA talk maybe more at the final two which should have been a final three but you know like well I'm not in production I'm not in

5:21 Production but like you said I do feel like and I tweeted this out earlier it's like for it to be a pre season 41 season this cast is very diverse I was I was surprised to see it especially here but you know we yes like we said we have Jaa we have Tasha woo Cliff Bryce shout out to Bri purple pants I met him before and I would say that from top to bottom this cast have zero misses I feel like top to bottom everyone had their moment you know whether you're David S you're being the first boot whether you're jeffra who I feel like people you know don't look at Jeff as like one of the big characters of the season but she really doesn't need to be I think she plays her role very well you have jatia with the rice and just being horrible at challenges it's there's such a there's Bryce at his only Tribal Council is steals the show and probably the episode I think that Kagan has withstood the test of time because you can always you don't have to watch it just for Tony you could watch it for literally anyone and find enjoyment out oh no even Garrett like even Garrett like just sit down

6:42 Like okay you're going out that's it nothing else we're not talking that was like one of the best beginning episodes like yo this man really Tred to run it like and we had an idol in his pocket and he thought for sure like this is and the re I mean even the fact that he dro the ball so hard that Cass voted Garrett out because she was so pissed off that Garrett decided that he was gonna oh yeah jtia it's jtia and that's it yeah jtia is funny for that I mean like they could have got their way if he would have played it smarter you know the numbers was in their side but like as a new too I'm like oh maybe if I ever do decide to play this game I shouldn't be like n you're going out man it's okay he messed up on that strategy wise and you see that you see like certain good plays certain bad plays and I want to touch on this is to be my this has to be in my top five seasons it would have been in my top three if Spencer Tash had won for me this would have been top three if Spencer Tasha or Cass had won because I loved Cass this season I mean I think the brains tribe the fact that they were able to make up or the dump trbe because they kep they I love cass's like confessional when she was like what is

8:02 The like qualifications to but the fact that they're they are three of the final six after you know somewhat being decimated Prem merge you know it wasn't some I think Spencer says like we were we're one of the worst tribes ever it's like no you're not like you guys but you yeah you didn't you didn't well not even that you didn't get all you didn't any all of you didn't go before the merge you know you guys did actually win an immunity but I you know it's Hyperbole and I get it but the fact that three of the six of them sat at the end or sat at the final six I think that if any one of them had won it would have been a great Underdog Story Underdog Story and I mean I love T I prefer Tony's second win but like we're gonna talk all about Tony in the back half of this oh I love Tony so yeah big fan but yeah we're definitely going to talk more about oh another person who I led in the beginning another person that kept me in the screen cuz Survivor always got to have IE candy Morgan just out says like yeah I'm gonna do this and that's where it goes with it you know we have this season and split up brains Bron Beauty yeah and I feel like we spend a lot more of the premerge focusing on the brawn and the brains

9:22 Tribe the beauty tribe really gets neglected for most oh they just I candy like but and I feel like we robed of mainly Bryce content you know like everyone else is f like Jeremiah is a model thatt up he had a good run LT had a really good run no what is his name oh I'm talking about Jeremiah I'm thinking about back to when Tony called him Jeremy at Tribal Council and they're like who the hell is Jeremy but the beauty tribe does kind of get buried in the edit pre merge and it's and it's fine because they try OJ I seen a lot of OJ yeah and I feel like they want us to focus more on the brains tribe because they are dysfunctional and they want us focus on the Brun tribe one because the winner is there but two because a lot of the drama you know with the a lot of and we're going to get to the cliff thing a lot of why Woo is so with Tony starts on that brain on that Bron tribe where you know wo realizes who Cliff Robinson is wo wants to work with Cliff Robinson and enter Tony who you know is just his goal is to just he's extremely paranoid and

10:42 He wants people to be going after anyone he deems as a Target or if he didn't something so he starts making up lies you know he tells Sarah yeah he's not a cop that's fine but he tells Sarah Oh I overheard you know Cliff Li yeah I heard yeah overheard Cliff talking with Lindsay about how they want to get Trish out or maybe Sarah out and that just causes a lot of paranoia among the people to the point that they you know pre or pre- swamp they try to throw a challenge so that they get Cliff out and they can't do it because the brain shribe is so horrible that they let Cliff basically win that by himself and then they swap and that was the basketball challenge right Challenge and he had to get on his knees to do it because of the angle assuming because the angle he's probably tall he's like 69ine like 610 at that may maybe a little bit taller but then we swap and all of a sudden you know Cliff ends up they all end up in a situation where it should be very easy the braon are just gonna stay together and they flip it on cliff and woo was a part of the vote that voted with cliff and I think once Cliff was gone he attached himself to Tony I think Tony took a page out of like Rob's Rob when a like Rob season

12:02 His Seasons with the women versus men like he just kept flipping back and forth I'm so glad you bring that up because people like Cass and Trish or Cass and somebody this season say oh he's playing like Russell and I'm like that's not how I see it I see he's playing like Rob Cino where he's just flipping back and forth between his good options yeah and everyone's giving confessionals about how much they don't trust Tony yet Tony continues to without winning immunities and only playing one Idol correctly oh no he didn't that wasn't even correct he played and he played two idols and neither one of them were correct he needed to save himself because of the paranoia like come you just constantly get people to go after each other even though they know they shouldn't trust you because he has moments where he says oh yeah I was actually lying about not being a cop you know I actually am a cop and in still continues to say oh I'm a construction worker at tribal and they're like what are you talking about like we know you're a cop and when he's saying like yeah I came out here saying that I planned on swearing on my kids and my wife and my and but at this time what I say it's true and they know that they know that it's [ __ ] but it doesn't it never crosses their mind oh it crosses their mind

13:22 But there's always a better option in their heads because I just think shout out to Spencer for saving Tony game if it wasn't for that phenomenal speech that Spencer gave cuz it's like I think Spencer really like saw it as hey Tony really did play a game and let's put like person personal you know it's hard to like they say it's hard to mix like game with personal so I think Spencer did a good job of seeing it from an outside perspective and not taking the game personal like hey give it to the man that actually played the game yes we all love woo but what did he really do because honestly woo would have been in a good prision no matter what because Cass hated Tony hated Cass if I was I would have just let them win like yo I'm good regardless I'm good regardless and it's you bring up Spencer and my only real issue with Spencer this season is the fact that he's kind of a hypocrite so when I what I what I mean by that is he sits at the end and he says oh yeah Tony played the game and blah cash played the game too C every crazy decision that Cass did made sense she flipped the at the merge because she realized she was probably on the bottom of that Alliance she tried to flip the vote

14:42 On she said the tone that was like that was like why one of the greatest merge episodes of all time and when her husband comes and she's like yeah if I was a man making these moves people would call me you know great but because I'm a woman because Tony was doing the same they had similar game they just were different and I think maybe Cass no from what I read from last seasons and maybe this has affected her game and second chances you saw her being more nicer you saw her like being more like into like the human feeling aspect maybe like because like think about Russell Hans a lot of people said he did play the game his personality just was a and even though Tony did all of that he was very entertaining people have a good conversation with him Tony and this is why I don't do that comparison because they're not the same player yeah Russell used bullying tactics and Tony used manipulation with idols and I and I get that we always see other moments where like you can tell you know he is playing this as a game and he's not you know he's not threatening people with the exception of Cass what I will say is one of my favorite one of my favorite things in this season

16:03 That people kind of sleep on is the fact that everyone realizes that all they have to do is antagonize Tony just a little bit and he'll snap you know Cass does it many times Spencer does it a couple times Tasha does it at least once like we're just gonna we're gonna see what happens if we try to poke Tony and Tony just goes wild and I feel like if they if someone had just if they had just gotten rid of him because no matter how crazy he got he was still being talked about as the potential winner for most of the merge and I understand you know that you want to use him as like a shield to because once he's gone it's a free-for-all with everybody but at a certain point you got to get rid of him because if you don't and you end up in a situation where you have a final three and you know everyone knows that Woo is going to take Cass because it'd be crazy if you let Tony who's been shown to be really good with his words woo of all people and have him just you know and this Tony is a very underrated social player because of that because he was get he was able to get someone that went against their logic like the proper logic and

17:23 Get that person to take them to the end which is why like this comment and I mean history has shown that this is true history at show we got statistic numbers out here but it's frustrating and I'm going back I'm going back to Spencer you know like a lot of the internet like to call him Spence bot that he's just a game bot this time around I tried to look more of the social aspect of Spencer and I feel like I really liked him and T I feel like him and Tasha were together because they had to be together but I feel like he was trying to bond with folks I feel like him and Tony had a very fun brotherly rivalry I don't think that they had any ill will towards each other I like they were just out there competing with each other I want to talk about Cliff for a second all right why do you think cliff didn't like fully hide the fact that he was an athlete because it has been shown throughout history up to this point that most athletes will just kind of hide the fact that they were pro athletes before Cliff was pretty open about it especially when wo came to him about it so why do you think you know like obviously he's tall as hell like

25:25 And we will touch on Trish because I do think that she is another very underrated player on this season yeah she was amazing had a great time on her since the beginning like being a loyal player I think the Boston accent the fact that she was so closely aligned with Tony and then Tony and wo the fact that her blindsiding Cliff drove a woman to quit the show she was afraid of hitting her so she was like pull me before I you know I don't know what I'll do Trish is very fun and I always forget watching it watching this season because watching at this time I'm like why do Cass and Trish end up hating each other so much the episode that Trish goes home because there's nothing that happens during the season that shows that's going to lead to that and then all of a sudden this episode Trish hears or the second of the last episode Trish hears Cass talking to Spencer about potentially getting rid of Trish and Trish snaps I feel like mainly because she was malnourished because she had lost a [ __ ] ton of weight at this point she was skin and so I think that she just kind of snapped and went off on Cass and she just kept tearing into her to a point where Tony has to be like all right guys like it's just a game

26:45 Like let's just relax and he has to take Trish off to calm her down and I think that's what leads to them but when Trish has her jury speech and she gos off on Tony she sits back down Cass is the one that puts our arm around her like to say hey it's all right and in that moment it's just like yeah you guys could have done the exact same thing to Cass last night when she showed up this woman is showing you know you know I have feelings and y'all are still being bittered that she votes you out of a game as I did I want to go back to the theme for a second because we are slowly entering into the seasons where there has to be themes like we can't have a season without a theme oh yeah and this like the first season where they brought back the three tribe things like it was this the first time they've had three tribes since oh Philippines oh no yeah this is the first time they've had three Tri since Philippines and I and I want to talk about this where do you think do you think that they casted the season first and then had the theme or do you feel like they had the theme they went out casting based off of it that's a good question well I feel like I feel like as a production person maybe they had the theme already planned in their heads like hey let's go back

30:45 Talking about like this martial whatever martial arts he was doing but like me and I once again I don't pay attention to what anyone says post as far as what they would have done only because it's very easy for you to change the answer once when you're well F right yeah having said that I feel like in that moment based off of what that jury was and how that jury treated Cass at Ponderosa and just how everyone kept referring to her think she would zero vote I think she zero I think that Cass would have had to go up there and give a lawyer speech and I think if she goes up there and gives a lawyer speech there is a potential that she wins the game now well these people respect that still I don't know these people seem very angry for and once again people love to [ __ ] about bitter juries who are they more pissed off at this season bit jur and they still yeah well Spencer would have not let that's why I think that she would have been zero because Spencer would have not let that go down and I think Spencer had a big influence in that jury and I think if it was that his mission would have made and like you could disagree with me like the comments could disagree with me but I really think the hatred that Spencer had because

33:25 For reasons not to like her because she sat there and even said yeah I was talking about wanting to vote out Trish and Trish got pissed off at me and started attacking me to the point where Tony had to take her away once again mean this it's so and I'm loving this that this is basically just turn into the cast woo Tony show like it's like a political like I love I love the fact that we're getting a lot of Fe but I do I do want to talk about U some of these other folks that we do have yeah we got to you know we hit the merge mhm and I like I said earlier this is probably my favorite merge episode ever so SP like another words that the older kids say now so spicy and I think what is so interesting is we get a lot of Sarah this episode oh it's starting already we get a lot of Sarah of that episode and she's you know she's basically saying hey like I'm in control you know I could either go this way or I can go this way she thought she's she's telling Tony like until no Tony's saying until you swear in your badge because he knows that when she swears in her badge he's being serious until you swear on your badge I don't trust anything you're saying and Sarah never does it so Tony knows that he has lost sah and they you know they
