1:32 I agree this was a fantastic week you know it's quite an interesting thing really where Survivor UK at first was you know really boring everyone was like really down on it like oh gosh you know Survivor UK like it's really basic strategy you Lee you know just wanting to keep the tribe strong F off the woman you know all men the lines you had Kon which was just you know also being strength based there was no gameplay and then this week just h one like a train didn't it you know it's we had the great Doug Blindside which I kind of saw this coming you know I was sort of looking at all the different numbers it's like you know what Katon if they wanted to like could literally go anywhere they want you know they don't have to just stick with everyone and go with Chris they could do pig leg Hannah but you know not going to lie who wants to vote off Hannah at this point and or doug because something I was thinking was Doug's Idol has not expired because his Idol was only for three tribal councils so when you think about he probably should have used it on the Leo to potentially save Lee right because at least there another number in the game there's another round where people will probably take Lee out next regardless but this is just a whole triple down effect for Doug but m g Qui

4:12 Here he's still thriving and surviving and he really led the charge against tanuk you know he really like started putting Whispers In Matthew's ear on you know you're on the bottom of this Kellon 5 you know like you got T and Nathan at the top and are they really going to be taking Matthew with them to the end I mean I don't think they're really thinking about it you know based off strategy I do think tanuk and Nathan would probably take Matthew with them to the final three but then it's literally they drag Matthew to the end and I think Matthew is a fan of the game he does not want to be Drake he does not want to be a porn you know he told us in his conversation with Lawrence that he doesn't want him and Lawrence just be porns for their game right you know he wants to be a player he wants to make his own decisions and play his own game right and so this really worked for Chris you know kind of thought the whole episode he was putting Whispers In Matthew's ear the whole time like you're at the bottom you're at the bottom you got to make like a big move like be proud of your game like now's the right time you know you've got the numbers to back yourself up and I do think that this was probably I mean it's kind of hard right because it's like it's kind of similar to when George took out shaie and heroes V villains I think it was the wrong time but was also kind of the right time

5:32 Because shie was thinking about going after George at the final eight or the final seven and with Matthew it's like he like having you know Chris Pig leg and Hannah there he's got the numbers to make this move because as we saw with Lawrence he literally like chickened out last second well he didn't exactly chicken out he was still part of the move but he just didn't want any of the backlash to go on him through tan Nathan or leani which I guess you can give him credit for that there was pretty smart but yeah it's like it kind of feels a bit wrong timing but Al the same time when would be a good time to do it because Leilani isn't going to flip against them potentially Nick's vote but the same time once say Nick's vote is pigle and Hannah really going to back Matthew here to make this move there's a chance that probably not right you know they turned against Chris and Ashley in the first place because they were so strategic they were you know playing very hard but yeah no Matthew made this really big move and I think it was actually a pretty good move I think despite even though I think potentially the timing could have been off the other argument is Win would have been a good time so yeah I do think it was a great move for Matthew to make which Gabel says here Matthew was smart if he went along with kuk to final three he is for short yeah absolutely I

6:52 Think once you're like in the final three with UK and Nathan like there's nothing you can say that could be T's game you know everyone recognizes her as a big threat strategically and socially and so far she's you know kicking Nathan but and these individual challenges you know there something there is something really about big guys recently you know like way back in the day of early Survivor it was originally oh the big guys going to win all the challenges but when you really think about it like quite recently the big guys have not been winning any challenges right like you had you know Jonathan in season 42 right like massive strong guy he L looked like Chris himsworth Thor right he was so ginormous he only won two individual challenges right throughout the entire season you had people like Shawn David Sam Webb and the recent Heroes versus Villains and there was one other but guy wasn't there oh I'm not sure but they yeah like I don't think any of them W in individual munities Shan Sam or David right but it's kind of the more smaller people like tanuk for example who are more well like perfectly balanced in terms of all these different challenges that are really the long-term threats now inste the stereotypical big

8:12 Strong guy so in terms of taring tanuk over Nathan I personally would have gone for Nathan just because he was so smug at that Tribal Council and with me personally I love proving people wrong you know I would I would just voted for Nathan just to be like not only were you so wrong you're so wrong that you're out of the game bro like catch a later big dog let's see what Gabe has to say here since Lawrence didn't do it he might have not done it at seven so take a shot at eight was good not relying on wild Lawrence yeah let's talk about Lawrence for a quick second so Lawrence you know he goes back to shelter he knows about the plan he agrees to the plan he's like yes we need to take out T Now's the Time I'm locked and loaded and then he goes and tells tanuk what on Earth is what on Earth is he doing right like I mean understand there's potentially jury management right but all you're doing is just giving to reason to talk to pigle and Hannah and I'm quite surprised that they didn't say yeah we were going to go for you but guess what Lawrence was the one who told us to go for you because imag if they said that right then everything spins around because in tanuk is like okay Lawrence is gonna go after me let's go after Lawrence right and then you just have this ginormous fracture with original Kellon right you know

10:52 Special is because he hardly comes on anymore he's got work and whatnot I might have to come in and say my word yeah well hurry up Tom hurry up yeah it's so I guess go back to Lawrence and his decision like he kind of whisked out if you know what I mean and I think if you're GNA make him move commit to it right you know we saw this with coach and Heroes versus Villains now I love coach I think he's probably up there with one of my favorite American Survivor players but when he chose to vote Courtney instead of Rob Russell at that big Showdown them is kind of like why just choose the side and there a big reason why he got voted out straight after Rob right because people would were Lally just like well he's not going to pick aside so we might as well take him out now obviously there are other reasons they by Sandra and how she kind of fooled Russ in that moment but yeah it's sort of like if you're going to make a move pick a side right don't just throw your vote away right because if I was on the jury and I found out that like let's say Tom because I'm going to I'm going to piss on Tom until he eventually comes on it's like if Tom just threw his vote right you know he knew the was move making but he didn't really want to pick what side I would not vote for him to win it's like bro you wased

13:33 It was Lani social game and how much of it was just the blue tribe just not being able to stick together at all let's see what Gabe has to say I'd be i' at least Matthew did it and yeah exactly Matthew did not back out of it so I'm actually really happy Matthew that he didn't back out it's an interesting thing right so Matthew has made this move on his zone right you know obviously with Chris with Hannah with pig leg it's kind of like where is Lawrence going to go because Matthew is probably gonna be quite annoyed at Lawrence right now right because Lawrence he backed out of the move he didn't really pick a side I think Lawrence could potentially be just easy unanimous like unanimous vot out right because he's not willing to go off like to go with Matthew on the move against tan I think if Nathan and Leilani fig that Lawrence was in on the move but he didn't really you know act on it maybe they don't really trust Lawrence as well because it's like well if you're just going to go off and do your own thing why should we work with you so maybe there could be the easy next fo off right for kind of two sides to come together get of Lawrence you know Chris is obviously in my opinion the biggest threat to win right now so maybe they can come together vote

20:13 Liked how it was pretty obvious he was getting voted out like they didn't really hide it at all they weren't really trying to make too much of like an like it wasn't like they weren't giving for example they weren't going like Lawrence wasn't going oh I don't know if I should go with the catonian the Lenin on this one what am I going to do and then you know it's the whole oh will Lawrence stick of his tribemates or will he flip and vote out Christopher or whatever like they made it very obvious I liked it because it really just felt like it kind of felt a little bit like revenge of the city like in the whole like you know the tragedy it's about to play out and like you just watching it all unwind yeah I thought that was like a nice and there's also like a really nice editing moment oh yeah on the reward when they're all having their fish and ships and oh my goodness like British Fish and ships looks terrible like what is all that extra stuff they're eating like and like the stuff that Chris was like slurping out of the that and like pickled eggs or whatever I don't know like a jar I don't know UK people tell me what this stuff is looks we just we just have fish and ships like here in Australia like yeah mindblowing

22:53 Myself where you're not having to like hope some other nugget doesn't you know pull out the 17 instead of 11 lawence you yeah so like but that's a great challenge I love get a grip like the poll one and then what was the other reward challenge in the first episode I can't remember but it was a good one it was a good one yeah I'm trying to think what was it I can't recall if I'm being honest but now all the challenges this season Tom have been really great I feel like they're grabbing all the challenges from American Survivor and other versions of Survivor that are like really beloved and they're just throwing all of them into the season yeah I think that they put a few too many of like cuz I love the especially like I love all the endurance challenges but I like how that everyone's like I know Australian fa usually once a season has like one of the pre merge endurance challenges But like everyone in the tribe has to hold a bag above the head or whatever like that yeah I love those challenges but I think in this season they did like two or three of those in the pre merge and I think like you should only do one in the pre merge even though I love them like don't overdose on them because they are all the same thing really but other than that like other than that small critique like that just gave me more of something I like which is like literally the only critique I have with

30:55 Like late 20s maybe like and for the for the these UK people to think oh yeah like yeah know it's all good yeah Gabe yeah the first flip was Mar casus but like even then like it was still basically it was still basically tribe verse tribe like for a while and then it was like here and there like van for example it was guys versus girls and like it stayed that way and then you know Chris just managed to just managed to stay in long enough to see that like these women who hated each other employed such a great second half of the Season holy moolly it was it was the post merch of that season was fantastic yeah something I do want to bring up is that Chris had a plan right you know to Rally all of original blue original lers and to put their votes onto Leilani now he has an extra vote here so he can up 55 but an interesting debate that I've con going around does that extra vote work on a revote now I don't think Chris would have been able to vote because he was oh no that's right he wasn't in the to it would have been for Doug it would have been Doug

32:15 That was tied with leani do you think Chris could have voted again or is it extra vote just a one time thing I think he was crazy to think that I guess he genuinely he was going home no matter what so he might as well play it but he was crazy to think that those three Lans were going to vote with him yeah I think I think it was a long shot was probably his only way to really I mean apart from kon's doing their own thing that's probably the only way for him to not only like survive that vote because kind of what you want to do right so you want to be able to survive the vote but ensure that you're going to be okay for the next couple rounds right like I guess you could do like just vote after vote right you know where it's just one vote okay who do I go next okay the other vote right but if you don't make that big of enough impact on the game it's like nothing really changes you're stuck in the same position just eventually until your time has come so I do think if you're in Chris's position the best you can hope for like what G brought up here Chris playing at best is a vote carried over forcing rocks because of one of the original C I like gets rocked out or even Pig Goan gets rocked out at least Doug officially knows he's on the bottom he can start playing

33:36 Everyone is shaking up because there are these official lines now it's not just everyone against Chris or as the popular early 2000s show goes everybody hat Hates Chris did you watch that show Tom no but that really made me wanted to leave right now I mean I was thinking no I think now I think of it if it was drawing rocks like I don't think he would be able to vote like again with his extra vote because then isn't he technically isn't he two people when it comes to drawing rocks because like he counts as two votes so shouldn't he count as two people in the Rock draw I don't know but anyway I think it actually I guess it could have been good because at Le like it made him look pretty dumb playing it like and it lowered not that he even like has a Threat Level he could do anything I mean he did successfully flip Matthew in the next episode which is like you know good on him yeah but yeah it does lower his Threat Level play misplaying something and then being just so out of the loop like yeah the rest of L were out of the loop but I'd say Chris was more out of the loop than them somehow yeah especially like wasting an advantage

34:56 As well you know and something similar happened in Champions versus contenders I'm not sure if you heard Luke's Deep dive but at the John vote Luke randomly thought oh we have the numbers to split on Harry as well because at that point there was the contenders they had an idol who or who they going to play it for and Luke just randomly voted for Harry thinking that they could split but obviously they couldn't split it was five against four but him doing that lowered people's opinions of him as being this like great overall threat which is why he didn't become an official Target again until I think it was like the final six or something like that because just at that point everyone's like oh Luke you know he was a we bit out of the loop on that one you know cheeky cooky Luke so I guess something similar kind of happened with Chris here where he misplayed his extra vote advantage and maybe people like Matthew aren't thinking that Chris is actually that much of a big threat anymore well maybe that's what Lawrence is doing as well he was he was misplaying in the second episode to lower his Threat Level too maybe every misplay in the history of survival was intentional so do you think do you think Cara stuffing up the V brains versus Brawn was fully intentional to just lower her Threat Level

36:16 Oh 100% I think she is never want a Big D yeah and I think when she when she asked when she gave the idol to George knowing that she would get voted out instead that was definitely a great move to lower her Threat Level because she would have been eliminated from the game and then her Threat Level would been non it would have been literally non-existent because she would have been out exactly and that's how she made it to the final four yeah and honestly she would have won hands down I mean tell me tell me who beats her tell me who beats her exactly nobody I mean maybe Phil I mean he got he got screwed over twist was screwed to the 10th degree who's the cleaner lady Janelle maybe yeah maybe she could have had a good chance against Cara but saying she was just as strong as other people in the tri like I don't think you were actually I think I think the Survivor casting people really hated you to put you in a brains vers bronze season because like you should have just been on like a normal season like without a thing like hands down yeah but I think we both agree on this do you think Doug was the right move for original Kellon to take or do you
