The Amazing Race 33: Episode 8 Recap

0:00 Hello welcome back to the nullified take where we've got the tnt takes for you on the amazing race episode eight we're getting through this at a frantic pace now michelle what did you think of this latest episode to be honest with you i was a little bit lower on this episode than what i have been and i've been trying to keep a very positive attitude about it so far this season but it seemed to be a bit of a slower episode for me i don't know how you felt about it well they didn't have to jump off anything and they didn't have to really do anything a high adrenaline sort of like it was quite staid and you know quiet i suppose as you could say yeah like i just felt the pace was definitely a little bit different obviously like you mentioned there was two roadblocks this time no detour i felt like definitely i don't know there wasn't as much variety in the skill sets that were required for me specifically in this leg to get me really invested or excited about it i think probably the biggest storyline of this episode was aruna natalia like can they get it right for a change can they navigate and i mean we even at the start hear them say ups we've got our own vehicle we've got to drive ourselves it's manual gearbox which a few people struggled with right from the start and the whole story line for this episode was really can they

1:20 At least get out of last place for this episode yeah definitely and i wonder why they did two roadblocks and did they actually do a detail that wasn't shown i haven't i listened to i think kim and penn's podcast they didn't mention a detour that wasn't shown so i'm assuming this was it yeah and they and you know i think aurora and italia did quite well would they have done as well if another team hadn't got so lost i don't know was would it have been a lot closer how far apart were they at the finish line and i have to say maybe it's because of the team that ultimately got eliminated here this episode it also just dampened my mood that much more we all know it's my favorite team this season and i've really enjoyed their energy and the life that they bring there's something about them when they're on the cameras i don't know what it is but they just they just ooze this vibrance and joy when they're on the cameras and i think i'm gonna miss that this season because i don't feel like there's that many teams this season for me that has just that fun element to them almost like that team fun like we're having fun on this race everybody seems for me to be a little bit too serious i don't know how you feel about that but they kind of mixed it up and actually

2:40 Kim did say in her podcast that lulu and lala laughed a lot and you know they laughed when they were doing badly they laughed when they were doing well and she missed that when they left i could see that definitely and i think that it's quite interesting because even in this episode again it is a race for a million dollars but they consistently are willing to work with other teams we saw them help raquel and kayla a couple of episodes ago again here they're running with ryan and dusty they're in the same i guess bracket when they leave the starting line and they go to this olive orchard where they've got to go find these clues and they make a deal with the boys to let them know when they find it now obviously granted it probably would have taken them a couple of extra seconds maybe a minute to find or figure out where the clues were but they're still willing to help other teams and maybe they were just too good of souls for this race a little bit too naive to run this race that's kind of how i looked at them as a team maybe are you telling me that because i want to be on this race so bad my soul is not up to power i don't know like i feel like you need to be cut throat and like you know play like i mean it's kind

4:00 Of like you know we spoke about this with raquel and kayla where like i kind of gave them a little bit of a hard time in the first episode when they left the twins behind and everything but in hindsight when i went to think about it i was like no actually raquel and kayla they're playing the game the way i would have played it like you have to be cut throat you have to be willing to you know do whatever it is for you to get ahead of the other teams and i just don't think that they kind of had that killer instinct to them they were fun to watch like you said they were laughing all the time they seemed to you know have a good time even the ending was fun with them jumping into the docks into the water which i think that full couldn't believe it i know like when did someone just go and jump into the sea it would have been the gnc i think they were talking about so yeah it's unusual but it was good for change well completely off topic but i know that in auckland a lot of the beaches especially around where the harbor is very like the wastage that in the sewage that goes into the ocean in those areas are extremely high and that's been very big news in auckland for quite a bit because they need to clean it up so it always makes me wonder about these dock areas like how clean is it in the first place for you to go drop there where all these ships are you know yeah you never know i mean obviously sydney harbour they

5:21 Really they've really taken care of it you can jump in most places in sydney harbor and it's okay unless it's after a really big storm and then there's so much so much runoff that you really don't want to get in there but most of the majority of the time i would jump in anywhere and it would be fine so i wouldn't think twice about what they did but obviously you've got some story with auckland that yeah would deter you yeah like i mean i was kind of thinking of that because it's such a big hot topic over here in new zealand and auckland at the moment but i digress completely off topic you know we get into this actual leg and i mean they have to go to this olive orchard to go find a clue there's a few teams when they go out there like kim and pen who can't immediately figure out that there is actually a ladder close by wouldn't let that they can go and they have to jump to get it luckily in penn's case he's quite tall but raquel and kayla definitely had a very difficult time i was very impressed by kayla's strength and being able to lift raquel i'm not saying raquel's heavy just putting it out there but still impressive yeah if i was down there i wouldn't be able to get up just i wouldn't be able to it's just impossible yeah i'm impressed it's the knees the knees and the thigh strength there was impressive

6:41 Yeah it's basically all the you know how they're running around crazy when they get there so the cameramen are running after them did you see there's some cameramen in the shots i saw that yeah definitely and it's they're kind of crossing each other as they're running and the one thing i was thinking and correct me if i'm wrong this was close to like it was it winter or summertime there because the weather looked really good like it must have been pretty hot going out there october so still semi good weather i guess it's not like cold called that time of the year yet in greece and like another off-topic story like i one of my first jobs that i ever had in south africa when i was like 16 was working on like a vignette where we would do gripes and we would go and collect the grapes for the farmer and we would be into these different orchards where you'd be in these little funnels and the heat when you're out there is just so ridiculous like i went through bottles and bottles of water having to do their job and it was definitely one of the most physically tough jobs i've ever done so looking at this orchard when they were running out there with no clouds in the sky and it being very sunny like i'm not surprised that the twins ended up taking a dip towards the end of this episode because yeah it looked not that pleasant but there wasn't much excitement about it was just drive out to this orchard

8:01 Get this clue move on to the next thing which is going to be the first roadblock which we get everybody coming going to it and they find out that it's who i think that the clue said who loves to rap and i was like yes i do i love kendrick lamar i love eminem i'm a however then if it's spelt correctly with a w you would have thought more about it yeah but i don't know how they spelled it what if they if they did try to trick them there you know i definitely could have put my hand up there but it would have been not the best challenge for me to get involved in michelle because if it's anything to do with food preparation wrapping things up like i don't think i'm the person for it like i like i mean i'm surprised i still managed to live day by day without being good at cooking you know i just throw everything on the barbecue half the time well my children have been having wraps quite a lot lately for school so i'm down with the rapping and the last season of amazing race australia they actually had to rap and kai and i who did the podcast for that season we actually made up our own raps we challenged ourselves to make our own rap which linked him with that rap so i think i'd be okay at both of them yeah you see i in my mind i would sound like kendrick lamar but in truth i would probably sound like chris noble which would be closer like for those

9:21 Survivor fans that remember chris noble rapping i'd probably be closer to that and wendell would have to tell me to put the mic down but looking at this challenge it was quite interesting because at first it looked very simple but then we find out that there was a little bit of detail in regards to how you wrapped it exp where the veins of the green leaves were if it was yeah inside if it was on the outside and the lady there being quite meticulous making kim go back and do it again oh no it wasn't kim was pen i believe the first time that did it was that there was very i know it was kimberly yeah sorry yeah so she had to go back and do it again and it was the rows that weren't right and also the way that they were wrapping it seemed quite interesting because at first glance it looked like it would be pretty straightforward but definitely i think it's one of those things where if you don't have attention to detail very easy to get wrong exactly and if you know the race you know that you have to look at the details because it's going to be trickier than what you think it is and i'm just amazed i didn't eat any halfway through well not that we saw but i just wanted to eat one so badly yeah if i was on the race like we just spoke about you know the different reality shows we'd love to be on one day or apply for and i know you're a big amazing race fan i've always said

10:42 I would rather be an amazing race contestant as well even though i'm probably an even bigger survivor fan i don't think survivor would be fun to play because of the fact that you'd be starving out there on a beach sleeping out in the sand getting bitten by bugs but i think the producers on the amazing race don't want me on it because i would probably chow down and make sure that i get my filling as i'm doing these challenges so i would be eating into their budget exactly or you know after you show it to her and she says great i'm like okay i'll take four in each hand oh my god i don't watch much as the first person in the comments welcome who is that no idea you've got a better idea than myself but really interesting challenge obviously raquel gets really stumbled here and she struggles and she drops all the way from second place going into this to i believe she was the last or second last team getting out of there so a really big drop for them i believe just before arun and natalya they got out of there so they dropped from second to fourth and has they have to make up a lot of time here in this specific episode and they do a good job in doing that but it does show that there is some weaknesses that they need to work out on in the rest of the race and i think the big thing that stood out for me here michelle was that raquel said her biggest fear is being

12:02 The person that is going to cost their team the win in the end do you think we might see some foreshadowing here with her bringing that up because out of the two of them i think kayla has been the one that's been impressing me a little bit more yes roblox yeah i mean you don't want to be the one that pulls your team out of the race you know you'd rather it be a detour where you're walking to get working together oh logan oh my god it's the judge the judge is on no pressure judge on the live podcast here i don't know like let's just act normal michelle no whatever normal is about everything right now in this next second yes did you watch reality realness in their amazing race recap this week or maybe angel cake angel cake did a really good job i think this week as well you know any case back to the actual race i think that it's interesting that with raquel and kayla the biggest storyline that is kind of coming up at the moment with them is the fact that they still haven't won one but they think that they can get there and that they thought that this was there gonna be their leg but it's been the last couple of episodes now where they've really tried to get that win but then they make a few mistakes along the way so it can go one of either way for me at the moment michelle it could either be that they never really fully

13:22 Get there and they're kind of like that squirrel and ice age that keeps running for the for the nut as it keeps getting away from them and never gets it or they get the win right at the end and they steal it out from kim and pen who are the most dominant team this season on the amazing race i'm thinking it's more the first you think that squirrel yeah i don't i really think it's either kim and pen or rusty and rusty look i just did rusty because you said that and i'm thinking the american baby i'm a good i'm a good influence on you michelle just accept it i'm a good influence on you're getting the names of the contestants wrong now as well oh look if logan's still watching that's like down like five points oh my god we just gotta hope we've just got to hope we're like aruna natalya and we keep getting in last place but somehow we keep getting saved and then the episodes that we need to get ahead and get someone else eliminated from this race we will be there you know we just need we just need to beat the last team every week that's what it's about you know set realistic goals at the moment is what that's what i'm all about you know but i'm quite impressive here obviously dusty being the person on the roadblock to go and do the rapping on this one here and he does actually step up i was a little bit worried for dusty because you know every time he's had this confidence within

14:42 Him to do the food challenges it hasn't really always worked out his way this season but he does end up doing a good job here paying attention to detail and getting it right on the first attempt which was impressive to see and he celebrates some dusty fashion at the end of it and completely goes off his nut it's crazy he's got so much energy he needed to run up some stairs this episode you know what he's doing any stairs oh yeah he needed to run up and down the stairs just to like get rid of all of that testosterone and energy that he's got flowing through his veins you know but one of the things that i found really interesting michelle is that they had this little almost like i don't know if you ever watch on youtube the reaction videos i'm a i've got to admit i'm guilty it's a guilty pleasure of mine to watch reaction videos of music videos or artists that i like to see how other people react to them and they had taken a leap from youtube reaction videos and brought it into the amazing race i think that the producers of the amazing race might be a little bit of a fan of it because they had the girls at the bottom which looked like it might have been a response after the episode so i don't know if the producers gave them a video to watch or they just got them all together no i worked out what that was because i watched it and went hang on and then i went back and i went hang on what is that and then i thought no i can't think about that i've got to watch this before

16:02 The podcast starts and then i worked out those were the three that were sitting on the table rusty council bonus points we'll take your pity vote logan although logan european vacation they didn't go to greece it would have been better if they were in like germany but anyway yeah so that was funny yeah so i think that it's quite interesting that it's being perceived as a very bad thing from the rest of the ladies that are playing this season that dusty keeps celebrating in the fashion that he does i don't think he means anything bad by it's just he wears his heart on his sleeve he's very passionate about this race he wants to win it and maybe he's a little bit crazy but let's be honest who isn't like and i think we all got a little bit of a crazy sight to us exactly you know exactly plus he's cooking you go on yeah i was gonna say plus his teammates with ryan i mean like who can hate ryan you know and he was there he was there for ryan when ryan was in jail so i mean like yeah he's gonna be a good dude you know exactly now could you spell souvlaki i'd like to believe i could that's annoying yeah like i'd like to believe i could like but i think if i was on the race like i feel like the pressure and just having to go through everything like it's not a word i would spell every single day and i wouldn't necessarily it wouldn't be

17:22 Like at the front of my mind at that point but and i said i don't think i don't think it would take me yeah and i don't think it would take me like going to a local to figure it out like maybe if i think the first time i looked at i thought oh it's with an l like i would have just removed the l in the second one and i would have had the spelling right i would have that thought it's an sl instead of s i think it's the way it's pronounced and yes english being my second language and thinking enough rakans sometimes i would have like messed that up a little bit i think but i think i would have gotten it on the second attempt as well but the thing that for me michelle was just absolutely crazy on that specific challenge was the fact that no one could work out where the clue was i love how they're looking up at her clue no like what sit under a table is it under a chair like oh my gosh and lulu and lala i'm like don't eat another one and why doesn't she like it why who doesn't like souvlaki like seriously well the weirdest thing for me like listen i like the twins and i'm always going to be very big defenders of the twins here on this podcast but the biggest thing for me that was almost indefensible almost if it was anyone else i wouldn't have been able to defend them was the fact that one of them have never had onions before in their life like how

18:42 Can you not have onions like onions goes with every single food dish that you can make like i'm not a good chef at all but i know that you throw the onions in after you've put your oil or whatever you're going to put in the pan that's the first thing that goes into the into the plates or onto the pan onions or garlic i was trying to remember what nationality they are because they look like a nationality that would eat onions i'm being very broad here but who doesn't eat onions maybe hmm do chinese people eat onions i don't know no i'm pretty sure it does like i'm pretty sure i mean i'm not i'm not a foodie firstly so i'm not a foodie and i'm the wrong person to ask about these things but like i said even me as a very basic food lover that can eat the most bland food that you'll ever see in your life because i really just am not a foodie like i know that onions go with everything and i'm pretty sure that most dishes that you have there's some form of onions or like you said garlic or something that goes in it like i mean like i thought my food was flavorless like i would love to know what they eat spag bowl has onions have they never eaten spaghetti bolognese i very highly doubt they haven't

20:02 Eaten spaghetti bolognese they probably just didn't realize that there's been a bunch of food because they did say in their defense and like i said i will always defend the twins on this podcast earlier in the season right i would say blindly i'm blindly loyal you know if they ever listen to this i'd love to have you guys on for a re for an interview after the season i'd love to make that happen since i've been such big defenders of you this season but they did say a couple of episodes ago that they're not the biggest food people like they don't really cook at home or anything but they had their grandmother that taught them how to do that and maybe it's a case of having had food in the past where it's been made for them where they just didn't realize it had onion in it like that's what i think happened like i'm sure they said half of my childhood crying because i couldn't see because my grandmother cut onions so many times like i thought i can't see i can't see and i have to run up to my bedroom while they're cooking because i literally couldn't see i've actually grown out of that now in the last god five years i can actually cut onions without crying but haven't they had a hamburger hamburgers have onions unless they've specifically asked for them not to be on the hamburger yeah i don't know like i said i mean i really am very invested now in knowing what their daily diet what it consists of like what do they eat on a daily basis that does

21:22 Not include onions in it but it was it was painful to watch because by the time they got into the second one they were crying they were struggling to get it down maybe it's also a case of a souvlaki can be if it can be like not like i feel like dry you need like a drink or something with did they have like water or anything like that because i don't have water with them yes and i don't see any i don't see any water like i feel like maybe that's one of the things that made them struggle because i'm sure if you had to get two of them down without any kind of like liquid it would be difficult and it was painful to watch because they kept throwing the clue into the bin and they're not realizing that this is what they needed and even more funny than that was the fact that they somehow ended up at the pit stop before they did any of this and i don't understand like i got missed like we met i feel like we missed a lot of context here like did they talk to a local and ask them where to go and the locals said this is where they saw camera crews or something like that they saw you could see the camera crews apparently from the end of the pier wherever they were you could see camera crews but you couldn't see phil so this is why they ran all the way to the end because they couldn't actually see phil so they thought it might be one of the challenges or something but because it was quite remote where they were maps weren't easily

22:42 Accessible so they were given directions in the car and the directions were quite ambiguous in that they were old so they'd say turn at this paved road but then all the roads were paved so one of them would turn at one road but then the other one would turn a bit further along so they would miss where they were supposed to be so there was a problem with the directions because they didn't have real maps they only really had what production had given them i kind of feel sorry for them in that case because i feel like at least if you're good at reading a map you know or you've got some scenes of how to read a map there's some control within your hands but if you're going off production and their directions and their directions are poor or they can't they feel like they can't correct them when they've completely missed you know interpreted what they meant by the paved road and go left here then i feel like it becomes a bit of a lottery in regards to how to get to these checkpoints so having that little bit of additional context really makes me feel for them because in some ways you know they really kind of hyped it up and i know as we're kind of all over the place but i felt like they

24:02 Hyped it up towards the end where they were kind of pretending like will arun and natalia get lost and can the twins catch up from the roadblock to get them and they always do that yeah but it was just it seemed it seemed more like for show this time than usual and because of the whole storyline of her and italia getting lost all the time yeah well that i just granted i thought are they going to get lost all episode every time they got in the car i thought they're not getting to the end before last that they did a they did a really good job this league i think they got through all of their challenges in record time you know a ruined at the rapping for himself not for natalia's mother you know and wanted to prove himself and that was a good life yeah and natalia you know ended up doing really well in the memory portion of this now let's get into the second roadblock firstly how do you feel about legs where there is no detour and there's two rope blocks do you like that do you like the fact that they mix it up every now and again and why do you think we i know it's not the first time we've seen it but why do you think they did it for this episode what was available in the area at the time because if they're simple tasks you don't need two people the other places

25:22 Had quite physical things maybe there wasn't really anything physical there that they haven't done before similar things that they've done recently like in switzerland so i don't mind that there was a roadblock i liked that there was a swap one did one roadblock one did the other roadblock i like that but yeah i'd rather have a roadblock and a detour but obviously they had some constraints and for reasons we don't know they did two roadblocks yeah but that second road block was oh my god so bad for me before we get into just before we get into let's just want to add to the whole the fact that they had the two roadblocks like i still think that surely there's something they could have done you know in regards to a detour like for instance one of the things i kind of expect you go to greece's natural national sport is football soccer why don't they have like a local goalie out there trying to block them and they have to kick the ball into goal post i'm sure there would have been like a football field out there something a little bit more physical when did they do the last soccer one wasn't that with the kids wasn't that 32 wasn't that long i think it's i think did they do it last season i can't remember it could have been they did it last season they're not gonna do soccer

26:43 Again the next one too predictable you reckon or just you because i think that the fans wouldn't necessarily remember it for me i always look at it like what's the oh okay well sorry the casuals might not we now we know why i wouldn't do the memory challenges but you know when you look at it like i always like it when they take something from the local country that they're in and they do something that's based on what that what's big in that country and i think that could have been a really good twist more so than doing a challenge about memory and something that's got to do with i believe it was a christian story five different saints that they had and don't get me wrong like i grew up in a like in south africa most of the country is very religious is very christian i grew up in a christian household i had to go to sunday school all the time i probably would have heard some of these stories before but i don't feel like that is a grease national thing that they do all the greek friends that i have are quite religious and they're very big in going to you know their churches and you know i went to you know our weddings are quite short compared to a greek wedding it just goes on and on and on so they're

28:03 Quite religious and these saints a lot of the children that they have are named after these saints so it's quite a big thing but i'll take that back if i offended anybody in greek greece about that comment clearly an ignorant south african living in new zealand out here that doesn't know anything you know what it's on it's only because outside of greece melbourne used to i don't know whether it's still current but melbourne used to have the highest greek population in the world outside of greece so we have a lot of greek people here i mean a lot of my friends are greek and this is why i know about dolmatis and soblaki and i know about all these saints and you know what they could have done in greece they could have gone and made people make olive oil because olives are huge in greece i don't think they could have done another water challenge because they've done quite a few water challenges lately but they could definitely have made some olive oil that would have been interesting yeah kim would have come fulfill if they had to do another kayaking challenge you know i don't think she's wanting to do one of those in a long while before she gets back on a kayak but yeah that's quite interesting i didn't know that so you learn something every day quite interesting with this challenge i actually you know in hindsight i think if i had to do it i'd be okay

29:23 With it just because of the fact that it's a story i think when it's not just you have to memorize certain patterns or things like that or seeing certain colors flashing in front of you but it's actually a story being told while seeing a picture of the same at the same time i think with the stories that most of these teams have the right strategy and sort of remembering certain sequences of the story so they can remember exactly what the picture looked like based on that i think that probably based on that it wouldn't have been too difficult i did find it quite funny that penn specifically here again they talk about her superpower but quite a few teams got it on the first attempt it wasn't just pen like raquel got it on her kayla sorry got it on her first attempt and also ryan i th he kind of didn't listen to the instructions i think two and a half times well he got it on the second attempt so i mean which technically was his first attempt if he just stayed back and listened to the whole thing but i don't feel like what pen did was necessarily in this round that amazing but they kind of hyped it up as a bit of a superpower but i did like to hear more about aghd and the other side to that because he is quite ripe we normally only hear about the fact that people with adhd struggle to keep their focus and you know to

30:43 Stand in one place or stall at long periods of time we don't normally hear about the other side of it which i found quite interesting and i think that pen probably is for people that struggle with that a bit of a motivation playing the season where they would look at someone like him and say oh well if pink can go out there and he's got this thing called adhd and i've got it then maybe i can go out there in the future and actually do well in the show as well because clearly kim and peen are absolutely killing it this season and has to be the hot favorites to win now definitely and talking about adhd or anyone who is on the spectrum you know i know from teaching children that you know they may have the problems with sitting still or attention to certain things but once they get something in their mind they are so passionate they are so driven about one particular area that it's quite amazing and you know i've got a girl at the moment who's just amazing she remembers everything she just she's great but she just wants to talk to me all the time and that's what's coming out she doesn't talk to me all the time you know above anyone else but when you talk to her it's like he was saying you know he remembers everything and everything you know becomes all bright in his mind and i know if

32:03 I was standing there well i was listening to them and by the third saint my mind had gone okay i know i think it was anastasia that died on christmas day but then i'm like i can't remember what the first one looked like oh my god imagine if i had to remember 10 and i'd be standing there with the judge at the end going oh jesus i'm gonna have to go back this was a short version of it as well because you know each one of these saints it took them about a minute or so to explain the saints backstory and all up it was about 10 minutes of standing out there listening to this so if you look if you missed the smallest thing and you only out of the 10 needed to remember five you didn't know which five it was that he was going to ask you to sort of place so it's definitely difficult in that sense i do think because of the story aspect of it that's how my mind has always worked i'm very much you know how you get people that they write things out all the time to learn or you get people that verbally they learn more by telling stories in their mind when they learn so i used to be that kid in school that as long as i went to class or i went to uni in the class if i listened to it i would remember it now if you ask me to take the books afterwards and go and read and study i struggled studying i was very much a verbal person and how i pull

33:24 Stories together yeah i mean i think i would find a survivor challenge easier than that you know where they show the animals so i'm forever going lizard snake turtle drum lizard snake turtle drum and they add two more and then i'm forever making a melody out of it i find those ones easier than there was so much information in this and then you know kim said after i think it was after less than five minutes this is longer than i thought it was going to be and i'm thinking god it's less than five minutes are some of the challenges really quick then yeah maybe it's because they saw i don't know like if the clue said you only needed to memorize five of them or something and she probably thought ah five that'll be really quick i don't know maybe they went out more and did it more than what we saw because it was interesting that we saw penn immediately get it we saw kayla immediately get it we saw ryan in my mind immediately get it if he just listened to the instructions would have been his first attempt getting it and then we see i think the twins as well immediately get it on the edit like they may have struggled but they wanted to make it look like they blitzed through it and chased the only one that we see with natalia struggling to get it the first time when she did it so from what we saw from a tv edit perspective there was only one team and maybe ryan

40:05 In last place they just got that key critical advantage in time that they're going to get away with that first group with kim and pen which will definitely put the pressure on ryan and dusty and also obviously aruna natalia who i would have to say that you know looking at how they got there they probably this could be a game changer in the sense that it will get them their ticket to the final three however when they leave when they left so the last team was 30 minutes after the first team so i'm assuming next time they'll only be 15 minutes apart so you need to have 15 minutes you can possibly make up now on a self-drive leg that's certainly possible because you can get lost but with the challenges it's the second challenge the second row block that anything could change in you can't really gain 15 minutes from the souvlaki challenge because it's not going to take that long for you to amend something if something's wrong but definitely if you're not great at remembering things with the quiz you could lose a lot of time there having to go back and listen again so i think it's good that they have to separate them by a certain amount of time but the production has to make sure that they can possibly make up that time to make it fair yeah i agree

41:26 No 100 and i think that if you're ryan and dusty going into this next leg and knowing that you're in the last place spot with iron and natalya leaving you're really hoping that there's some sort of a physical challenge that's coming up where they have to do something physical because that's really where ryan and dusty excel and where they can jump ahead i don't think ahead of kim and pen because let's be honest when pen puts on his glasses he does become he's you know he's the reverse of clark keane we've already estimated it here on this podcast when he puts his classes on he does become superman you know and he does get through these challenges extremely fast with kim and she stays up there with him she keeps up the pace with him as is lewis it's lewis right lewis and clark so yeah she stays she stays with him and i think that they need that physical challenge to be able to beat hopefully aruna natalya and raquel and kayla to sort of get in there and that and that front bracket and make the final three do you think that this next leg will be another non-elimination do you think we get one more before the finale or do you think that this is going to be a finale after this i thought there were 10 episodes am i wrong or am i right if this is the penultimate one coming up they have to get rid of somebody however have we had three non-elimination legs have we got 11 legs coming i thought it was 10.
