00 Foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] Tech channel here on YouTube also streaming live on Spotify and all the audio platforms where you can possibly get this from I'm your host Chris and with me today is my co-host Michelle we're here to talk about the Amazing Race 34 episode 10 that's right this episode had an ending it wasn't a draw it wasn't you know no one going home so

20 I was happy about that but I'm still digesting because I only watched this a couple of hours ago on my side Michelle and I didn't like the team that went home I didn't like them going home right here it's not what we had planned yeah and my in my mind in the perfect world Marcus and Michael were running the finals next to the twins next to Louis and Michelle but no hatred towards Aubry and David as well because I mean they had some really great moments here they're late bloomers in the show and they're peaking at the right time and I feel like we're getting to know them a little bit better now as well as we get to the pointy end here of the Season definitely because we didn't really see a lot of Louis Michelle or Aubry and David at all so yeah we're seeing a lot more of them so maybe you know if we saw more of them at the beginning maybe we would have been more connected to them but you know who's to say I mean I think we're pretty they're pretty magnetic yeah and I will say for those people that are going to comment below Chris why are you saying Louis he pronounces it as Lewis told me he's okay no no he told me he told me Michelle he's okay with being named Louie he likes it he doesn't care so we've got his we've got his endorsement to call him that

40 But listen he has been awesome you know even keeping you honest in the previous live jumping on when we were talking about him what you know what tell it like it is in from my perspective and my world but I'm not mean and when he came on I was just really excited like other people will be like Jesus Christ he's now here but no I was just really excited yeah and it's cool to get us you know insights and he's already said he'd love to do an exit interview or hopefully a victory interview now because I'm probably shouting you know for the mostly at the moment for Louis and Michelle and also for the twins because they're they've engaged with this podcast before you know and I do like Derek and clay and I do like Aubry and David as well so regardless of where this thing goes I think it's going to be an exciting into the season but let us say hello here to a few people in the live lovable Nikki getting up early in the morning welcome to the live stream again always appreciate it to you and having you here is she up in the morning is it after Thanksgiving now it's after Thanksgiving so also for those that are in America I believe it's after Thanksgiving over there Happy Thanksgiving even though it's belated I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving and they should still be full right now if they've had a big

00 Meal they'll still be full and won't need breakfast yeah Christian welcome back into live as well I believe it's pretty early where you're at as well Molly and Emily bested them in minutes we'll get into that lovely Lisa I had David and Aubry on my long list top five my bookies came in first I was so happy pronounced Bukis [Laughter] yeah I mean listen they're doing a great job and I do think that Louis and Michelle they had an edit around them from the start they've always every single episode we've seen them a little bit so it wasn't like they haven't been sort of there but they may be the team that was hiding in plain sight because they're also now the most competitive team in the race Michelle because I believe they're the only team that have won three times so far this season let me double check that and fact check myself yes the only team that have won a league three times this season must be the outright favorites now to go on and win this whole thing I know I know the snowball we thought yeah I mean listen Emily and Molly hats off to them for sticking in this because throughout this whole leg Molly has continued to struggle with that knee injury that she's got all right preparation pain ever

21 Way and you know the funny thing is on some of the fan groups people have been saying I'm so tired of hearing about the knee well I'm sorry have you ever had any operation or anything wrong with your knee it is like all consuming it's like you're you've got to walk you've got to run you've got to move and it's just pain every second even when you stop moving the Pain's there so I'm sorry people if you're not happy with hearing about the knee all the time just have any operation go do something to yourself understand it's easy to say when you're sitting on the couch you're having a cup of coffee or cup of tea watching the game unfold in front of you without being in the ring having to run from the checkpoint and do all of these you know roadblocks and detours and things like that when you're sitting there but if you're out there and you have to move you're near one of your most important you know assets that you've got if you don't have a knee how do you she doesn't have a wheelchair to get wheelchair around in there so she's got to run exactly and you know what now it's funny I did a mud run last weekend you can see the horrific photos on my Facebook if you want Chris I saw it's awesome yeah my knee was making a few little niggling pains in the morning I thought right Voltaren get two down didn't

41 Feel it for the rest of the day but I was thinking back you know for poor you know the twins you know to have a knee problem and be running around it's just it's just awful yeah definitely not easy hats off to her for continuing through like lovable like you said a weaker person would have given up by now and Molly is there she's wanting to be an example for a daughter to show what she can do and also that perseverance can get you to the end I mean how awesome would it be if they still win this race with Molly's knee playing up the whole time like what a story it would be it would probably be one of the most unlikely wins at this stage oh definitely I mean I keep thinking back to poor team fun you know when he was so dehydrated he couldn't even stand and he didn't have a choice to stay in or out they just pulled him out at least you know the girls have a choice and they're deciding to you know for John yeah lovable Nikki said I just ate a Thanksgiving breakfast plate left potatoes on it Nikki because that's what I like eating after Christmas here anything with like an old potato you know baked potato in the morning I love that yeah hi eager welcome to the live as well great to have you here we're just at the start

01 Here of the recap and at the beginning of this we had duric and Clay they're in front they're getting out of there first they get a postcard with the bridge on it and they have to figure out where they're going so no actual Clues given to them as to where it is and luckily for them they find a local that knows exactly where that bridge is so it must be quite a famous bridge that everybody in Spain knows exactly what town that is it's about an hour and a half's drive from what we could tell from where they were but immediately that local luckily enough knew where they had to drive that bridge is it's really giving me Game of Thrones Vibes I don't know whether there was a bridge very similar to that in Game of Thrones but even my husband came over to look at the bridge trying to see if it was Game of Thrones but we couldn't work it out yeah I mean it looked awesome that whole town with like the town being split into and the little bridge that runs in between it I just want to go there and visit that spot in Spain now such beautiful architecture but that I feel like you can say that for most of these European cities that they visited so far and like I said luckily enough one of the locals know where they're going but one of the things I really enjoyed here is that all of them had to drive themselves there and they get to do it in style because they're driving in a convertible that doesn't have a roof and

22 And they can take in the Spanish air they can you know look at all the beautiful people over there in Spain as they're driving it just seemed like something right out of a James Bond movie but I was being like a mom I'm going I got some cream on why are they wearing a hat I was not thinking that it looks like fun but then it came yeah I was not I was not thinking that at all but it looked amazing the weather looked amazing and I think that if you wanted to drive around in Spain that's how you want to drive you know you want to have the top off and just have the wind blowing through your hair you know while you're driving there you don't have the big map out and then it's yeah it goes over the back one of the things I didn't notice with this being that it was a copay they didn't really have seats in the back for the cameraman so they had GoPros inside of the car that took all the footage and then there was a cameraman driving behind them that got the scene from the back as they were driving I actually quite like this I like the fact that the cameraman wasn't in there and I'm sort of hoping that if they do more of these car things in the future where they drive themselves I'm sure they've done it before that they have more GoPros implemented to have them in the vehicles themselves without the cameraman sitting there next to them yes I don't know whether any of the viewers right now would remember this maybe someone does a couple of seasons ago they're in a country they had very

42 Small cars and the cameraman actually couldn't fit in the car in the back seat so they actually had the camera it was sort of attached to the door and it came out about me about this far so they could actually see in the car and because they couldn't fit a cameraman in the in the back seat and I don't remember what country it is maybe one of the viewers remembers it was really small really small cars I remember a while back now there was an interview with Phil kogan where he said that the GoPros and implementing that into different sections of The Amazing Race and how they do their production that's something the idea they got that idea from Jeff Probst and what he does on Survivor and I'm sure they've both been in the industry for so long they talk about things outside of the show and how they can both better their own Productions that's probably the type of creative things that they share quite consistently but I really enjoyed it I liked seeing both of the people you know racing sitting next to each other like you would normally do if you were to be in a vehicle and I'd like to see more of it in the future I do want to go back here to some of the comments eager saying I hope Louis and Michelle wins listen I'm I'm Pro most of these teams but I definitely lean towards them as well because they've been very engaging with us here in the channel so we're

02 Extremely biased I am in any case really biased because I really like both their personalities as well they're just Lively they take life on they're excited about everything there's not really an I like people Michelle that don't have a victim mentality about them yeah Liam Michelle to me does not have a victim mentality about them even if things go wrong they look on the bright side it's why I like Linda and lumumba and now that Michael and Marcus is out who I've also enjoyed this season I feel like you know them or the twins being able to persevere I would be happy with evil definitely no potatoes mac and cheese stuffing green beans and ham gosh you might need lunch lovable Nicki also a team Louie and Michelle Fan here on the live but yeah we get through this first part and these teams have to drive themselves to the bridge Derek and Claire's out there in first Aubry and David is out there in second but somehow Louis Michelle still passes them by the time they get to the bridge and they're first getting to the bridge because Derek and clear gets lost Elaine they can't get out I love how Claire's telling Derek to turn around and joking like where and then it took them like five minutes to turn around because the street was so close you would have been going like literally an

22 Inch and then back and then this way back trying to get around can you imagine yeah 100 like I can't imagine and hats off to Derek for being able to turn around in that little Street it didn't look easy The Producers did them dirty by saying five minutes later I'm trying to turn around I needed to have that voice over guy from I don't know what's he on Instagram or Tick Tock where he gets five minutes yeah probably copyright it's probably why they didn't do it but I mean it would have been funny but they did them dirty because that didn't look like an easy turn to make in the beginning but because of them getting lost Loom shall actually do get past them and like lovable Nicky here says she loves a healthy supportive couple and you know I like both I like seeing the couples that fight because it's entertaining to watch it's probably not healthy for them in their real life relationship but I can enjoy it seeing the train wreck and fall in front of me but then I also like seeing this side where you've got two super competitive people that are supporting each other throughout and being there for each other so definitely do like that but they get to the bridge they have to find this person with a flag and some teams found it a little bit easier to find the tour guide immediately others find it a little bit more difficult Louis Michelle really

42 A very good leg for them because they find it without any hassle and they now find out that they have to go to The Detour and where they're going to have to choose between two different things to do at this point one of it being bend over backwards and the other one being Dress for Success if you were there and you found this clue Michelle what would you do just for success yeah definitely because it's not dancing and it's obviously something to do with dressing and if you're in Spain you know there is a high chance of it being some sort of Flamenco dancing and only because my mum she did a lot of stuff on stage and one of her personas was actually to dress up as a flamenco dancer she didn't do the dancing but she had the castanets and I used to practice on the Castanet and I was actually trying to find them before I came on because I wanted to they're in the house somewhere and I wanted to play them because they're quite tricky to play when that you're doing this with your fingers so I can imagine yeah I mean for me I would naturally have gravitated towards bent over backwards and I was surprised that so many people went for this just because I know that in The Amazing

03 Race it comes down to the finer details and they're not going to make it easy on you but I feel like this dress for success challenge was probably the hardest memory challenge so far that we've seen on the race and I do feel like as you get deeper and deeper into the legs they do become a little bit more difficult and they scale up the difficulty level of it because there was a lot of small things that you could have missed out on when they ran to the shop there were a lot of like minor slight differences to different things that they were wearing and it didn't look like any team got it on their first attempt and I actually couldn't see the difference between the two shawls I know there must have been a difference it was in the threading of the sort of the bit around the end and I couldn't see the difference but obviously they did they had enough time to have a look but yeah I thought the stuff at the back was quite easy for me to be able to see the differences being a woman I could tell or this is that size and this is that so I was quite surprised when some of the girls were getting it wrong especially when I think was Aubry was putting the flower on the wrong side I'm like no what you can see it's on that side so on that side like but anyway yeah I mean there's a few I think they focused a lot on Louis and Michelle for being there because they were that far ahead of everybody else

23 That they showed us quite a lot of them running back and forwards and it was it looked like it was quite a distance between where they had to look at the demonstration and also where they had to go to the shop and then do everything and I don't know if the person that they were dressing actually kept all of that clothing on or if they actually removed and then they had to redress every time but it was really funny moments with Louis saying I've never put earrings on someone and you know also showing his more like softer side there because he's like I don't like because she's like just get it on there and he's like I don't want to hurt her you know yeah I was wondering if they were pissed were they pierce earrings are easier than Pierce because I've tried to put pierced on my own daughter and that's really scary trying to poke it through the bag yeah but clip-ons yeah I'd just be going bang I would be exactly as fearful as Louis about doing that and like hurting the person because you've got to respect you're in a race you're trying to get from point A to point B but this is a human being right here so yeah you want to be delicate as well as you're doing it because I know what it's like and I know I could just slam them on that'd be fun yeah but it was a bit of a workout running up and down between those but they still manage to pretty much I feel like get out of there before anybody else gets there like they were that fast that they got through the first part of the detour

43 Out of there before Aubry and David arrives there but it's quite interesting because such a small gesture by Derek and Claire ends up being such a big thing for them in this leg because they helped out Aubry and David in the previous Mega leg with the whole fishy the presentation of the fish and making sure they get the finer details right and Aubry and David really appreciated that and they made sure to pay Derek and Claire back tenfold here this episode because these two pairs I feel like together they make a team that can win this race separately I don't know yet I mean Derek and clear has won twice they've been first twice so maybe they're the more likely one but I feel like Aubry and David and Derek and clear together they could run this whole race like this it just shows you how powerful alliances can be in this game oh definitely I'm surprised they're helping each other at this late stage but you know what it seems to be working for them so I don't hold it against them I feel like there was a pirate someone went last someone was suddenly voted out I think there's a sense of comfortability with them where they know they're not lost they know they're middle of the pack at this stage and I do think that Derek and Claire honestly and Aubry and David they're thinking we don't want to race against both the

03 Twins and Marcus and Michael in the next League because they're both very dangerous teams in fact they actually even said at the finishing mat when Phil asked them who do you not want to race against they said we don't want to race against Marcus and Michael yeah so I think it was a it was a it was a conscious plan that they created to keep those teams in the back and make sure Aubry and David Gets further Aubry and David made sure Derek and clear God further and who knows how long it could have taken them if Aubry and David didn't you know Aubrey gave them basically the right thing that they needed a chance I've got what they was but she went back to Derek and clean to check hey what did you need and she said well this looks different from ours go get this and then you know that gets them further because Derek and Claire could have been out there changing things the whole time and could have been that could have been the moment that Marcus and Michael and the twins needed to catch up and you know it's funny in the car when they were side by side in their cars trying to find this place and Derek and Claire said you know do you know where you're going and you know so many times in the past we've seen another team say oh we have no idea and they know full well where they're going and this time they were really truthful no we don't know and then they said well let's pull over let's ask it was quite refreshing not to have another team you know say no I

23 Don't know and they really knew yeah exactly and it's interesting because after this detour they get out of there in second and third place Aubry and David actually leaves quite a distance ahead of Derek and Clay they actually asked should we wait for you because I think Aubry and David are not the best at directions it's been shown over and over but they're really relying on Derek and clear to help them with the directions because they do catch up to them somehow outside of this detour and then they say hey come this way Derek and Derek's like no you're going the wrong way we need to go here which is where we started for the roadblock and they actually help Aubry and David again and guide them in the right direction so this Alliance that they had in this specific leg really just worked out for them on all fronts definitely and we're seeing a lot more of Aubry now a lot more of her personality is coming out I really I really like it yeah I like her as a person yeah I'm really enjoying her sort of content that we're seeing yeah I agree well let's talk about them going through to this roadblock because this roadblock they end up having to choose a person to do it I forgot the name of the robot I think it's who has a great memory or something attention who's been paying attention is the name and immediately Louis Michelle decides listen Michelle's the one that's got a great

43 Memory you're doing it she absolutely freaks out and is so happy about the facts she I mean she couldn't contain the energy that she was going to go on this tightrope from one end to the other underneath the bridge to go and collect this flag and she's like this is what I always wanted to do and I'll tell you what Michelle I was living through her because if I was out there I would have been just as excited this is the type of thing I love doing stuff like that I mean you've got a harness on so it's great but I don't think I've ever heard some someone say I just love Heights like I've never had anyone say that like it's always I don't like Heights or people just don't say anything like I don't think I love Heights I don't care about them but to hear someone say I just love Heights it's just it was absolutely hilarious Christian is saying the men played dirty with the women for this roadblock and we will talk about that in a bit but it's basically all the women who ended up doing this High challenge but before we get into that this reminded me Michelle like I don't know if you get it where you are over in Sydney but in New Zealand we've got all these different obstacle course tree obstacles where you get these high trees that you climb in and it's got like one rope to the other and you can swing and one of them has got like this little cable tied rope and it's reminded me of it because I've done it so many times and I normally

04 I normally ask them which one's the hardest one and they'll say okay well you go from level one to level 12. I always go level 12 from the start because I like anything that gets the adrenaline pumping anything that gets me to show off a little bit of my athleticism yeah and I'll go straight for the highest one and this is what you reminded me off I love those things it's actually one at SeaWorld in Queensland here and I Was Here I Go Again I was actually doing a race for not you on a race from Make-A-Wish Foundation up there and one of the tasks was to go up in the high in the high Course and there was a team of four of us and I said yeah I'll do it so I went up and did it but it was also memory challenge so you had to remember all this stuff about marine animals so you had to go up remember and then you had to go to like four different stations and then hope to God you remembered everything when you came back down so I loved that there's actually a great photo of me just running full ball down these stairs and yeah I love those courses I wish we had more in Sydney I'd do them all the time yeah so we've got one major one close to wood hills over in Auckland New Zealand then we've got one of whangarei which is about a two hour drive and then there's a big one in Wellington that's probably the most fun one I've ever done in New Zealand and then we've also got a bunch on the south island so New Zealand's like literally

24 Literally with all these different things my biggest fear and the thing I don't like I don't mind Heights I don't mind doing these challenges but I've said this to you before there's something about going head down first in a bungee jump that would freak me the hell out I just don't like the idea of that so if it's not me jumping head first then I'm all good I can do it have you not bungee jumped and you're living in New Zealand I know it's a shame on me how can I call myself a honorary exactly listen Michelle I hear it every day and my rebuttal to all the kiwis that live over here is that most people in New Zealand have not done bungee jumping so don't give me that okay you have to do it first of all what do we do when we do the Amazing Race Michelle when we do the Amazing Race I'll do it if there's money at stake we'll do it this is another aside the many asides we get to I once worked for AJ Hackett when they were in Sydney and I worked and everyone who works for them gets to do a free bungee jump and you know I never wanted to do bungee jump it just looks awful but it was free and you've got to do with things if they're free so I did it I'll never do it again ever unless I'm holding on to someone I'll do a tandem but it's the whole thing that you jump off and you have nothing to hold on to and it's just terrifying but yeah I

44 Mean I think you've got to have the life if I if I can jump you know you we get in Queenstown and New Zealand we get the ones where you can jump down first one though you don't want to do that yeah but you can jump feet down first and then you swing I'm okay with that I don't like the idea the thing that freaks me out is the fact that you go ahead down first let me know in the live if you guys would do bungee jumping and if you can understand my fear of going head down first versus jumping with my feet down I don't know if that's just the me thing and me being weird but outside that's good yeah it's a lot better yeah I just don't I don't know I just don't like that idea but overall Heights in general don't bother me I think I can do most high challenges wouldn't be a problem for me and similar to Michelle she gets over there she gets the flag the first time it didn't look like anybody really struggled with this because there was only one flag on their way there and I think visually like we've said before Michelle maybe you don't take things in when you travel normally or there's so much things happening because you're on your phone or you know there's other things that you're doing but when you're in the race I do think you're paying attention at every little thing that you're doing because you know that challenges coming in the final leg where you're gonna have to memorize Flags you're gonna memorize what people were wearing at the pit stop and all those kind of things so I feel like most people got it immediately yeah it was fairly easy I mean I didn't know any of the flags there except the Spanish flag

05 I was trying to look at the other flags but I didn't really know them well enough you know they could have been countries like Andorra and the bizarre ones that you know you don't really take note of yeah and it's interesting because as they're walking they can see the flags from the side where they're starting to walk so they can already start thinking okay these are the flags which one stands out to me which one do I remember but a big part of this episode was having both the two girls Claire and Aubry get onto this thing both have a fear of height and then both being freaked out about it and then both having very different coping mechanisms to get over and Aubrey needing that moral support and someone that she can talk to and Claire's like don't talk to me it was so Gruff and I'm thinking oh God is she just destroying this Alliance here I think I think Aubry is probably the person who would understand the best what Claire was going through and she would not hold it against her but it was funny because as or like as Claire got back to the other side she even told the instructors I'm so sorry for being difficult you know I know I've been because she's probably been shouting at them the whole time as well like she shouted at the Glide to try and get it off the other side make sure no I need to give my foot over here she was like

26 Really freaked out yeah really freaked out I know and I know like listen Michelle there's people watching this that are saying to themselves what cry babies why are they like freaking out about this thing but if you put me in a circumstance where I have to touch a snake or get into a bathtub with a snake or have a snake on me I would freak out and cry similar to Clay and Aubry because I am petrified of snakes that's my phobia and so I'm not telling you mine because I haven't ever told anyone because someone will use it if I ever get on the race someone will use it against me so I never ride it in my application I never tell anybody but yeah there are a couple of things I would totally freak out with but yeah no one's ever gonna know the strangest one I've seen so far and lovable Nikki will know who this is I forgot her name right now lovable Nikki so you're gonna have to help me in the life if you're still listening there's this girl who does The Challenge right that is afraid of ketchup oh for God's sake and she's legitimately like petrified of ketchup and I'm like this is the craziest thing to be ever phobia about this ketchup so she can't go to restaurants where there's ketchup like freaks out every American restaurant has it freaks out I

46 Don't know I don't know what to tell you I don't know what to tell you that experience as a child here we go I forgot the name Jimmy is her name and people have people have interesting phobias my one I think it's a very legitimate phobia because snakes you know they don't move naturally they can bite you even if they're not poisonous I'm sure it's not going to be pleasant you know I just don't want to mess with snakes give me a spot to give me a scorpion I had snakes crawl over me for five thousand dollars so yeah I was like I'm telling you now Michelle there's a million dollars at stake they're telling me I have to do something with the snake I'm out I'm out five it was so good I'm out I'm out I'm like okay cool I'll just self-evit I'll go home right now you know I don't know what I would feel like if I'm actually there and that happens but I don't know how I could get myself to do it and I'm only imagining that is what Claire and yeah Aubry had to go through and the emotion that they felt when they got on the other side and just breaking down I mean it really shows you like they were both putting on a brave face to get there but they just broke down after the whole thing I know well because they've just you know they keep it all inside for when you're doing it and then as soon as you relax it's like Jesus I just did that and you know what even though I don't mind Heights and I

06 Can understand you know their emotions just being so pent up and having to let it out I can imagine I can imagine their race Partners going what the hell are they doing and why are they losing the plot but you know I can understand from a woman's point of view what made them do it one of the most interesting things for me was that when Claire started crying like that balling her eyes out that you know you could see she was so shocked and in such a shocked state that she kept apologizing it's like sorry you know and Derek's like why are you apologizing you did extremely well we're out of here and you could see Derek was getting emotional about this and I feel like Claire in her day-to-day life and what I remember from her and Big Brother she's a very strong woman and I feel like she's got this front where I have to be the strong woman I have to be the strong one I can't cry and I feel like she was apologizing for fulfilling emotion and clearly I know you don't listen to this probably we're too small of a podcast but if you do listen to this you should never ever feel bad about showing emotion like that's a good thing and well done on both Claire and Aubry for overcoming Their Fear and doing this yeah definitely like I said I don't know if I could do it with spiders or another spider snakes Igor says here that he hates both spiders and snakes well spiders yeah I don't like spiders too much they I've been chased by spiders here in Australia

27 So you know they're not my most favorite animal yeah I mean spiders don't mind too much in general I feel like I can outsmart a spider quicker than a snake but a snake I just don't like but IGA here says Derek's reaction to clear crime was so reflective off the no chemistry and I don't get that I feel like there's good chemistry between them but maybe we're seeing it differently what do you think of that Michelle I don't think there isn't any I don't think there's no chemistry I think Derek just they relate to each other differently than some other couples do and you know if that was my husband there he'd be like saying get up what are you doing get up you know different guys react differently to see their partner crying and not everyone acts in the you know special way that they think people should act you know everyone's very different everyone's very different but I felt I related to Derek in the sense that he felt horrible about putting her through that you could see it emotionally got to him as well and he was very supportive of her the whole time when she kept apologizing and he said don't apologize you don't need to apologize you did a great job so he's very supportive as well so I don't know what else he could have done I do think they bounce off each other really well and yeah I mean I don't see it but listen

47 Like you said Michelle people see it differently and maybe there's something I'm missing Richard welcome to the live saying I miss these two faces we miss you as well Richard all the way from South Africa oh wow yeah so Richard is my co-host for Survivor South African content and we had him on for the whole season big Liverpool fan as you can see there by the icon as well let me know Richard who you're shouting for in the World Cup my team Portugal just won Bailey against Ghana it was actually I felt quite conflicted about that Michelle because Ghana is Africa and always shout for everybody that's from Africa but I have to support Ronaldo so I had to support Portugal aren't they like a million Ronaldo's like I hear Ronaldo I'm like I don't even know which soccer team I'm talking about the top goal scorer of all time Cristiano Ronaldo he's still in it 37 years old still going strong well I thought he'd retired I thought there was another Ronaldo now I thought he can't be still going yeah so you he had a Ronaldo who used to play way back for Brazil and then also Ronaldinho so there's been a few there's been a few years to just to confuse you and I understand you know Michelle you probably you probably don't follow the football too closely because I know that it's been a tough start for Australia but I do know Chris Cristiano ronaldi I do know that name and if it was you know on

07 A was it on a boat in a race a couple of years ago like I know that yes last year last year they had they had I think his name was up on the Portugal League his name was on one of the boats and yeah we also had we had someone else Dusty did a Cristiano Ronaldo celebration when he got to one of the pit stops right it was a bit of a shout out there as well yeah okay so who have we not spoken about so the twins they finally do get to the roadblock but they had a lot of difficulty in getting there they got lost a couple of times going there it really feels like with this knee injury it's really rattled them to the point where most of the focus is just getting Molly from one point off the leg through to the next where they're missing these things that it's like Elementary yeah their focus is gone and everything is just a little bit harder it's really taken them down in there ability to just let everything else go aside and look at what the task is at hand and I think that you know one of them's got the bad knee and the other one's worrying about her with the bad knees so they're not focusing as much I really feel like you know we saw them in both legs off this Mega leg have issues navigating and

27 Missing things as they're running past certain things seeing David run out but not knowing where they came from they seemed very flustered but they do eventually get in there it takes them about three attempts to get through the specific roadblock and in the same time we get Marcus and Michael it seemed like they were that far behind they just never caught up to anyone they're the only one who actually goes for the roadblock that I probably would have done which is the bent over backwards and I tell you what even though Marcus and Michael ultimately gets eliminated in this league they're at least gonna know for the rest of their lives that they're going to have a place in history with having built one of these pillars in a very impressive place that's probably going to be there for hundreds of years it's probably going to outlast in I know I know it was it's so impressive when they pull that thing out and it just stays up makes me want to go and build one I was going to ask you did you know that technique existed at all was this name to you yeah I don't know I don't know where I come across the crap I know but yeah I did know that technique and yet you and if they're big ones like that was obviously a small one but if they're very big I've always marveled at them thinking how the hell how many people did they have up there holding things because you have to wait till they're all together to absolutely have to let go and yeah they're quite amazing fear

48 Of architecture yeah I mean growing up with a dad who's a boulder seeing him build many of these types of things in the past I definitely was aware of it and it's probably another reason why I wouldn't have been too intimidated doing it was really just about taking your time and making sure you had each one of those Pebbles which kind of ended up holding the structure together that was really the most important thing and if you could balance that out it would work they did have a little bit of difficulty missing a couple of peoples here and there so it's just attention to detail I'm not sure how long it took them it would be awesome to know how long that took them overall but they do end up successfully getting out of there in last place but not enough to really catch up the editors did do a little bit of a trick with us because Molly had to go on this tightrope that she had to do getting from one side to the other side on a knee that's not good mind you so I was a little bit worried for her having to put pressure on the knee probably in a in a way that's not comfortable going over this thing but on the way there they made it look like she picked up the Spanish flag and then when she got to the other side she had the correct did you notice that yes yeah maybe she looked at got picked it up and then looked at and went no and then they didn't take that shot of her actually changing it I think they did it on purpose because I feel like they wanted people to think Marcus and Michael has a shot to still catch up to them and then they constantly had Mike Marcus

08 And Michael saying we'll outrun them to the finish line so in my mind I was like they're gonna catch up they're gonna run against them and they're going to outrun them that's the reason why we see the team saying they don't want to run against them in the final leagues because they're going to come back good editing because it definitely kept me invested until the end where normally I feel like I know who's going to get there yeah exactly and Emily get to the end are they going to have to do a race to the end highly likely it's highly likely that something like that's going to happen so Marcus and Michael's no longer there do you endorse Mike Marcus and Michael as a team you'd like to see back one day in the future to run again do you enjoy them I did I enjoyed watching them I'd love to see them again definitely I feel like Marcus was so hard on himself at the end you know he's like I cost us I screwed up in the first part of the mega League I cost my brother five hundred thousand dollars and what a wait to have on your shoulders because I mean 500 000 that changes your life right I mean that's life-changing money and Michael was very supportive and said hey I didn't see it that way we got to spend time together this whole thing as a team event and I just yeah it was heartwarming to see their brotherly relationship was strong and I'd love to see them back they stood out to me this season they definitely the cameras love them the editors love them they gave them a lot of content they

28 Had me full I thought Marcus and Michael for a long part of this season I thought they were going to win yes yeah they edited really well this time yeah I think I think they'd be good for a returning team I think they'd still give a good edit so yeah I'd love to see them back now next week they go to Iceland so it's going to be a little bit I missed where they were and I'm like what is that terrain and where are they Iceland's going to be stunning it's going to be beautiful and it's going to be a bit of a trip for them to get there and then we've got two episodes left the legs straight after that they're gonna go to a new location for a finale that we've never seen before so I'm very excited about it's going to be Nashville Tennessee yeah so that'd be pretty cool somewhere different geez yeah definitely ego here says Mike was the first fighter jet pilot on the race I hope we get another chance to see map perspective I agree I mean these guys were so good at the navigation side of it right so I mean I feel like any other season bring them back they'll be competitive they'll be fun to watch against other competitive teams but the Amazing Race don't really bring people back all that often so I feel like maybe we don't see them for a couple of Seasons still but and

49 I don't know if they'll want to do any other type of reality TV shows it's one of the reasons why I think people get so invested in things like the challenge because they get to see their favorites come back consistently where we saw sometimes don't get that but then we get to fall in love with new teams next season exactly it's like Iceland looks amazing and dangerous yeah it does a bit it does a bit it's like Survivor Australian Survivor They're bringing back half oldies half newbies and there's always the Uproar why are they bringing the oldies back don't want to see the oldies again which you know to some extent yes you know you don't want to see the oldies again unless you really love that actual player but also it brings back the people who loved the show coupled with new players who they might learn to love when you've got all newbies sometimes it's harder to get the audience there unless they are true fans who will watch anyway sometimes having the oldies come back gets a fan base there that's ready for it before it even starts you know yeah I agree with you Christian Galley says I think Emily and Molly are going to be eliminated in

09 The next leg they're the most likely I mean if you had to look at the odds I'd say they're the most likely but you never know you never know they might just surprise us once again and keep and you know keep on going and get into the final who knows at this stage like I said I have to say Louie and Michelle they're my favorites to win at the stage based on performance I think Derek and Claire's got an outside shot as well but those are the two teams I feel the most confident about taking it out this season same and I've said Derek and Claire right from the get-go you did you did but you know I don't know I really don't want Emily and Molly out but yeah we'll be saying that would be both our favorite teams out if they go out next week yeah but listen great casting great people this season I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing I love seeing the enthusiasm that Louis Michelle has for this race and how they take everything on I love that so yeah I'll be very happy with them winning Derek and Claire I've seen on other shows so them winning would be awesome as well Emily and Molly really like them like you said Aubry is becoming more like I feel like I'm getting to know her more and more she's got such a big heart for the race as well so I'm really cool with whichever way
