01 Foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] welcome back to the nullify take channel here on YouTube where we've got the TNT takes for you on The Amazing Race 34 episode 8 that's right I'm your host Chris and joining me again this week is my partner in crime my dear to this podcast I really missed you last week Michelle but welcome back to the channel how you doing well and just in the background here you can't hear it but there is an alarm going off and I'm like great it was literally

21 Zero one alarm queue but anyway glad I believe I can check it out or do you need to do you need to chat it's not mine it's not mine okay but yeah I missed doing it last week it was really weird yeah it was different and lovable Nikki welcome back to the live as always saying Michelle is back with three hard emojis golden heart emojis as well I should add yeah it was different because obviously I did a pre-record it and I had to just sort of talk about the episode and what my thoughts were on it but you know I lost my team I lost Glenda lumumba I was very sad about it Michelle and I didn't even have you here to like coach and talk me through this breakdown this mental breakdown I had after seeing them leave the game sad I mean she did such a great job with that car that car was like up like 45 degrees in the air and when I saw it I thought oh God they're gone they're gone it takes too long to get back yeah for a few of these teams it kind of feels like it's like the slow kill you just see it's going downhill they're never in the front of the pack they just can't get there and you're just sort of waiting to see who's next I mean obviously I don't think either of us was to too surprised by the outcome of this week to see who left and I think there's probably one more team currently in the race not

41 To throw a shade that I wouldn't be surprised if they were to leave but then the top four teams like we've said so many times here is super competitive you know most of these teams have now won you've had Derek and Claire finishing SEC sorry first twice you've had Louis and Michelle Finish First twice and you've got Marcus and Michael who've finished first twice and then you've got the twins who's finished first one so those are some strong teams yeah definitely and you know the funny thing you said is that you know the lowest teams you know you just wait they hang on they hang on they hang on then they finally go and I've played an online game of Amazing Race where we were one of the top teams all the time and we finished second so we were brought back for All-Stars and then in All Stars we were like one of these glandular number teams we were just always hanging on hanging on hanging on and I think we came out fifth or sixth or something and we were so disappointed because we'd done so well before and then you know it's just the kind of race you're in I don't know but it's really bad being one of those hanging on teams because you feel like oh my God are we out this week are we still in you don't know and then yeah you're finally gone it's just it just

02 You can't momentum I always feel like momentum is such a tough thing to gain like if you're if you've got the momentum you seem to have everything going right for you seem to get you know the luck of the of the draw when it comes to getting through some of these detours and roadblocks and checkpoints that you've got to get through but then if it isn't there it's very hard to almost believe in yourself and I think that Derek and Claire spoke to that a little bit here in this episode as well because I know we're jumping the gun by a lot but obviously they finish first this leg and Claire says that there was a point in time there in the race that they kind of doubted themselves that they could even do it because they were struggling yeah definitely and I was so happy when they came first again I thought my team's back on top they're doing is that your team Michelle have you back well I picked them topmost in week one not because they came first but because I just thought they were a good team and I thought they worked really well and they do well and yeah and then they went downhill so you know I'd love Derek and Claire or Emily and Molly to win let's see I was gonna say the channel won't be too happy with you in a hole because I did a community post this week where I asked which team won The Amazing Race 34 has impressed you the most so far like that could mean anything who's done better I guess than what

22 You've expected if none of them comment below let us know who they are and we've got the twins with 50 of the vote half of the community loves the twins yeah and then Derek and Claire's in second 25 that's your team so doing pretty well and then Louis Michelle 13 and the brothers with 11 those that's only made it around the top four teams predominantly but the twins really have a backing of a lot of people there yes and even in all the little chats everywhere I will they always talk about go 20s you know come on twins you know they're always mentioned somewhere yeah no definitely I mean they've got such a big story that we're seeing play out in front of us I'm just so fearful for them because you continuously see them talking about the injury the knee injury and if I think it's Emily I hope I don't get it wrong but whoever's got the knee injury if she doesn't you know pull through then it's gonna be sad to see them go out that way and I hope that it doesn't prevent her and her sister from actually doing really well and running this race as effectively as they would like I mean such an inspirational pair to see them do so well it's always tough for women and women teams you know so for them to consistently do so well again some of the boy teams and

42 You know I mean I don't feel like they're putting you know they're equally as good as anybody else at this point that's in their top four is what I'm trying to say definitely I think that they are too I just hope this knee takes some major painkillers and you probably only have to do it for another what week yeah and you'll be through it then you can go and have a knee operation just make it through they'll make it I've I'm putting Good Vibes out there in the universe I've got full faith they're going to continue to march on they're going to continue to surprise us this season and I'm hoping they get to get into that final three situation it's so tough because I actually do like all of the teams at the moment to say who is my favorite and who isn't my favorites at this stage lovable Nicky here says that Louie and Michelle are my Front Runners now there are so many good teams that I don't think I'll be upset by who everyone's literally taking the words out of my mouth yeah Michelle agrees yeah they're just all amazing like all of them there's not a not saying they're bad teams but there's not a bad team there's not a weak team there even when Clinton and Matty left today I was like oh wow because they were they were weren't a bad team either so I think it was again it came down to navigation for them and the way that the seasons play

02 Out we've said it so many times on the podcast now the navigation from point A to point B is so important so if you lose time there it could be you know your weakness your Achilles heel that could make you lose the game and funny enough we get a very strong team in the military Brothers for the first time making a mistake navigating from the checkpoint from the first I guess the starting point to the first checkpoint until I believe it was in Toulouse that they had to go to from Dome and he makes a bit of a judgment call and makes a big mistake here that puts them back from being at the front of the pack and making them fall all the way down to Fourth here in this league yeah there's a bit of traffic a bit on this leg I don't think we've seen this much traffic for a while I can't remember I feel like this is the biggest cities that they've gone into yeah so far because I kind of felt like they went off the Beaten Track for a lot of these leagues exactly and a whole of last season was so the SE are big them to have to contend with and those maps are huge in the back seat they don't even fit in the back seat like yeah Aubry Aubrey that Aubrey scene was funny there's like she's got Maps everywhere in the back window on the side windows yeah it looks intimidating right and

23 You know they have to go from this point to the next point they have to drive there when they said that they were going to Lowes or to lose I'm probably mispronouncing it sorry for everybody in France right that's what Phil said to lose to lose yeah so they're going to delusion when I heard that they were going to Toulouse Michelle I was super excited I got excited when I saw the preview last week because I knew they were going to go to rugby Capital you know over in France because to losses Toulouse has got a very good rugby team I was aware of the fact that their local team has won five European championships I'm aware that they've won I believe over 26 or something 21 championships over in France as well they're a very successful team and I knew that there was something there's going to be something with rugby in there and being a South African you know rugby is kind of in my blood I know I saw it come up and I'm like oh my God Chris you'll be loving this and then I also thought Phil you'll be loving it because He follows the All Blacks so yeah I thought yeah this is good and I actually know a bit about rugby so I knew what they were doing so it was it was fun to watch I mean I just knew the Dropkick part of it would be the hardest part because I can't do that I know young boys here from a very young age do the drop kicks all the time and

43 I just marvel at how the ball doesn't go off in another Direction and they just know what to do so and it's just great to be that it did prove to be the hardest part of that task yeah it's definitely a skill and we'll talk about that I just want to backtrack a little bit here lovable Nikki brings up a valid point she says Michael needs to be more assertive he lets his brother walk all over him a lot when it comes to the decision making I've got my thoughts on that I do agree he needs to be a bit more assertive but I think it's hard when you've got an older brother because you know I've got a younger brother as well and I get the whole dynamic between all their younger brothers sometimes what's your thoughts on this Michelle as I ask you my thoughts on it is that you know markers is about 10 years older than him he obviously his whole life has had been like this older brother kind of caretaker to his younger brother his younger brother probably has a lot of respect for him and I think it's a respect thing and especially coming out of the military where rank is important and seniority is important I think he probably defaults a little bit more on his brother making some of those main decisions but I do agree because Michael did he actually noticed the right way to drive when Marcus overruled him I mean I'm the oldest in my family so yes I

03 Did take control a lot when I was younger I think my sister came into her own as she you know Grew Older and older and older and now we're pretty even and if we went on the race together we'd be pretty even so yeah I mean depends if he wants to take the direction because it's easier for someone else to say what to do and then you won't be blamed for doing the wrong thing you won't be blamed for making the wrong decision giving a wrong suggestion some people like someone else to take the lead to take the pressure off them and that's what he could be doing yeah 100 and I think that's probably what he defaults to as well and like I said there's a bit of an age Gap there Igor welcome back to the live hey guys asking what was the secret to the perfect drop kick on Rugby what do the contestants do wrong right okay so this is my moment to shine hopefully I don't fail and get some sort of a rugby coach on here saying that I'm absolutely wrong about this but you know I was I was looking at it and for Marcus he seemed to be the one that struggled the most and we could see it even in the preview that he was going to struggle and I kind of called it out a little bit even before it happened this specific week when the episode aired and a lot of what Marcus was doing wrong is that he had his timing completely wrong and timing is so key when it comes to doing a perfect drop

23 Kick so I think he was over eager and for a lot of people they're not used to when they kicked the ball like you could have seen when Quentin got there he wanted to kick it without dropping it on the ground because that's a natural instinct to just kick the ball out of hand but it's all about timing dropping it with the bottom of the ball hurting the ground and as it hits the ground within about a second Split Second after that you've got to get scooping underneath it heard it quite Center and it will go forward but timing is something that's hard if you haven't you know I can't shade markers or any of these people for struggling even though a few of them got it very quickly Louis well done I think he got it on his first attempt it could be a great rugby player for America they might be looking for some players but I can't shade it because Michelle if you were to put me out there playing baseball having played Cricket my whole life you're used to a ball bouncing on the ground before I hit it I'm sure in baseball I'd be terrible it's a different skates the young girls here in Australia they'll play netball and all of a sudden they're put into basketball and they forget to dribble they forget to travel with the ball they pivot in and went in a spot and yes it's so funny watching them trying to change between one sport to another and yeah it would be hard yeah Chris rocking the David Mohawk I

43 Don't know I didn't notice and lovable Nick here says I agree with both of you regarding the brothers make sense especially after Michael left his stuff at the roadblock the previous episode yeah I think Michael has had a few times where he's over thought things as well and would have been interesting to see how he would do in this but Mark has had some background as a wide receiver or a quarterback an American football so you could see there was a few things of this technique like his passing technique was good even though I know they don't pass backwards over in America his tackling technique was definitely good I wouldn't want to run up against Marcus I think he could put in some hits there was a few things where he did while it was just the kicking and it seemed like he was the person who struggled the most hats off to a bunch of the ladies here who did pretty well Aubry also struggled but I mean the twins got through it really quickly very successfully at in total it looked like the Dropkick was the thing that would have gotten most people in trouble but yeah I would have felt comfortable I mean I've done and in fact I may have even slotted a few dropkicks when I was back in school so it's something that I quite enjoyed doing I loved being out on the paddock you know doing a couple of drop kicks before practice look I think it's amazing if you can connect with a ball it's amazing yeah I mean listen it's like I said it's something it's timing you need to grow up with it

04 It's probably very difficult to pick up if you just didn't do it from a very young age it's like an ice skater skating backwards like don't even let me try and play Ice Hockey skating backwards because I'd be landing flat on my face I can tell you that I can go backwards foreign but I can I can turn around quick from going forwards I can suddenly turn and go backwards but yeah I mean ice hockey's pretty good because they're pretty much they've got a bit of padding on so you wouldn't be as scared to fall over yeah well this first part of the episode I think they get through pretty successfully or easily in general like I said The only person struggling is markers but he doesn't fall any further behind than sort of what he arrives there being in fourth spot obviously the Twins were first to get there followed closely by Derek and Claire and Louie and Michelle and we find out that Derek and Claire and Louis Michelle they're going to be working together and there is a bromance blossoming out there on The Amazing Race yeah like you should do one and I should do one come on if I can do it you can okay it's very fun oh

24 That's terrible I don't know if we can qualify to be part of the brochachos of Louis and Derek but they've got this really cool relationship starting you know like this Bromance blossoming out there and they're working together it's really cool to see them form this friendship out there and I think that they kind of far similar they're very light-hearted people and they don't take life too seriously so I hope that friendship withstands the test of times and there's still friends outside of the game definitely that's so it's so nice to see a team getting on so well and not just for yeah it was laughable Nikki just not just for the sake of the race but they seem to genuinely you know like each other yeah it's awesome and they worked pretty well together as they continue on throughout that first part of the game they get to the roadblock another thing I did want to say did you know anything about Toulouse and the fact that it had these you know one of the things I really love about the Amazing Race is I kind of look at full as someone that is a little bit of a lecturer you know it makes us all more cultured because he tells us a little bit about the background of each place that we go to he's a teacher you know some may say a Sensei you know he's taking us on this journey and he's teaching us about the bricks and the way that the clay is there and it's got this pink look did you know anything about this or was this quite new to

44 You as well this is new because I haven't been to Toulouse I've only been to a few different places in France and I thought that was really nice that you know because the the Earth around them makes that color and I wonder if anyone else like takes the stuff from around there the bricks or the whatever they use to make the bricks and takes them to another area of France I'm wondering if it's highly sought after or if it's a commodity for the town or whether they just use it in Toulouse that's something else I'd like to know well both of us have got a French friend and Philip so we might have to ask him he does not watch The Amazing Race this season I might have to give him some trouble for that because he keeps shaming me for not being up to date on the traitors because there's so much for like hasn't there been like three or four legs in France already no this is the second isn't it second leg in France last week I missed last week didn't I yeah two legs so they're going to Spain next they've got two legs in front so quite a bit about France I'm sure he would have loved seeing it especially when we get to the roadblock I know you would have loved that because at the roadblock there's two options for them they can either do say six or lay bricks and say six they've got to remember three I

05 Think it's two phrases from three poets from a poem and then they have to reiterate it when they get to a judge basically and with labrix they've got to place these bricks down almost like a puzzle type of thing in a certain order to be able to get to the next thing when I looked at it from the get-go Michelle I'm not gonna lie to you I know I've been saying a lot about hey how cool it is that I know three languages and you know I could pick up different things but for some other reason I'm always very intimidated by the French language I don't think it's an easy language for someone to get so I feel like I probably would have gravitated towards lay bricks in this case but I know you know a little bit of French so maybe where would you have gone and you know what I think because I would have seen laid bricks and I'm thinking God do we have to get out the mortar and pestle or not the modern pencil that like the little tool and do we have to actually make a wall because I've had to do that in other amazing races and I'm thinking God which one would be faster whereas that bricks one was quite I saw it to be quite quick if you had problems with the language so I personally wouldn't know which one to do and I would probably leave it up to my partner yeah so in this case we would have done the lay bricks because I would have been intimidated by doing this Fringe thing because as soon as you go from one pole to the next poet and you hear all of that the French language for some other reason to me just

25 Seems like one flow like there is no they don't stop between words this is like we're here we're really like I don't that sounds good sign in my mind people saying this but that's how it sounds to me so I would have struggled it's I don't know it's different you know and I probably would have opted for the lay bricks and I do think that the teams that went for the lay bricks they didn't seem to have any trouble it was two by the looks of it two different bricks one short one long so you only had to figure out what order the short and long bricks went and you could pretty easily get through that yeah I think you could that was quite pretty too I was wondering if that was actually going to stay there or if that was just set up for The Amazing Race it'd be nice if it got to stay there then we could all visit it if we went over there yeah a guy here says you could tell that Louis was doing the slide celebration for the first time not perfect like the footballers Hazard and rashford yeah at the end it's a different sport but yeah I saw him do something like that also says Claire's French pronunciation was bad very bad Derek's is good Derek got it going on yeah well I mean if you've studied it at college or

45 Something like that at some stage then you've kind of got a leg up I kind of felt like especially with the last one he actually said yeah that makes completely sense and he didn't even have to think about it because he just remembered the words but one of the things that he did bring up was that even though he knew the language and he could pick up some of the words he's never seen the language used in that way before so I'm wondering if it was a very old-school French like kind of when you listen to Shakespeare English and you're like it's English words but no one speaks like that well some of the words when you when you speak a sentence in French it's not like in English where you know you have the adjective and the noun well it is basically but they move things around and I think with the poem they had to make sure that the final word on each line rhymed so it had to sound like the previous one and so it might have mucked up the way that French is normally you know formulated so that's probably why he said something about that yeah I tell you what I will definitely have to put to loose on one of those places and I'm pretty sure there will be some rugby games there next year when the French Rugby World Cup is on so I have to put that as one of those places where I go and visit so that like Edgar I can go visit Toulouse and see The Amazing Race Walk of

05 Fame because that's pretty cool that's pretty cool that they got to do that so the teams here as they split up obviously like I said Derek and Claire they go for say six because they feel very comfortable in doing that having one person understand the language and speaking into a certain degree that obviously gives you a massive leg up the other team that gets there with them obviously is the other half of the brochachos Louis and Michelle they get there they also choose to do say sex but immediately after the first when they go to the second person reading out the poem they decide to move and do the other one now I know Michelle you hate it when people switch up detours what did you think of this but they did it fast they didn't spend a long time there and then suddenly decide oh this is really bad we're not getting anywhere we'll move if you get to somewhere and you decide in the first few minutes it's not for you that's okay and depending on if they're close if they're not close it puts another whole spanner in the works but if they get there decide and move that's okay yeah I agree I mean that was literally what Louis said that's their one rule for switching up detours that if they do it they do it quick and they make a decisive decision and move on and I

26 Think it ended up working really well for them because obviously they don't actually lose ground here Derek can play very easily gets away there first before anybody else gets there but it's going to continue to be Louis and Michelle and also Emily and Molly that are going to stay in second and third place one thing we did kind of skip over was that just getting from this one checkpoint or this roadblock to The Detour they had to go to another place to find a musician playing a coyster I believe it was or the French trumpet the French horn there we go considering we were in France and yeah it was good it was it's got a beautiful sound yeah very beautiful the guy who was in it who was playing the horn reminded me of someone that played in Game of Thrones he was like he also played in a few other shows he played this year what you won't know played in the Mandalorian for Star Wars and he's a famous actor that's played in a few but I'm like this guy looks like that actor but I know the Amazing Grace wouldn't have been able to afford it to go do that but yeah he very much reminded me of that person when I saw him but not important we see a lot of people sort of swapping leads and getting lost getting there the twins end up going down a parking lot at some stage after they went to

46 The bricks or still before this before they got to the bricks it was a good question I think they may have either way like people were getting lost people lost they got lost on the way there and yeah so yeah so it was it was as they were going I just had a look at my notes it was as they were going to The Detour they went into a parking lot took a wrong turn and then didn't have a credit card imagine trying to explain to someone in 2022 that you don't have a credit card you can only pay by cash luckily for them they could pay by cash or I don't have any money let me out I can't afford anything mind you Chris you know one of the Australian teams did do the wrong thing once did you ever hear about our lovely our lovely team who went into where did they go they went into a consulate in another country they just drove in and they were practically arrested they were taken by the security guards I have to tell you this whole story I'm trying to think who it was it was amazing race too one of the best Amazing Race Australia's and they've given this the

06 Best you know one of the best in the world yeah they went into a weird place at least at least these two just went into a parking lot yeah and they could get out and they found someone interluz that could speak English because that's the other part of the challenge right and they got out of there obviously showing how confusing it can get another team that also on the way to getting to this detour God lost was Quentin and Maddie and they got stuck in a road with barriers sort of preventing them from going down a street and luckily for them again they had a place where they could talk to someone find someone that could speak English to actually let them out like it seemed like they yelled out the window at a random person saying can you put the bollards down like I don't understand is it one of the shops by the side of the road that can do that like I know in Sydney you can't just put them down you've got to have a special key and you know you have to be a special person to do it I don't know it's hard to know how much time they're lost doing that how long were they sitting there before they could actually get someone a lot throughout this race reverse down the street yeah just reverse there's so many times I've just reversed a car down the street to the sheer horror of my passengers but who cares you need to get out of the street you go backwards

28 Yeah 100 I mean I don't know what the rules were there I don't know if they were traffic behind them it wasn't clear if there were people sitting behind them trying to get out as well that's an issue yeah and no streets those streets didn't look very wide but if they live there they're not going to have gone down that street yeah wouldn't they really if there are other tourists that would have followed them and thought Oh great now we're all trapped here yeah but absolute craziness a lot of teams getting lost this league definitely I think for a lot of them it wouldn't have been a leg that they would have remembered fondly unless you are Derek and Claire obviously who had a phenomenal leg here but they get there and then the other teams the teams that sort of get into that second bracket you have out of all of those teams obviously the military Brothers saying they're going to go for say six because they think they could potentially make up some time on the Twins and also on Louis and Michelle and whoever is in front of them they do pretty good I feel like the twins slammed this one out of the park they didn't show language when they were so good at was it Hebrew they were so good at that like why didn't they do that I don't understand because they're good with the intellectual stuff yeah I don't know I mean a question we could hopefully ask them when they

48 Hopefully after the season we get them on for an interview I know markers have been checking out the content quite a lot and every week we get a comment from him saying and giving additional information on things that we bring up and questions that we have he always gives us the inside scoop thank you so much for that Marcus shout out to you and also Louis who's been quite frequent to message us on here as well really appreciate some of their feedback that the races are giving us but they did a really good job it looked like they got out of there in their first attempt from what I saw so that was impressive to see they definitely made up some time but not enough to get ahead of Louis and Michelle and also the twins who do get second and third place here at the end of this leg the other teams that do go also for say six is going to be Aubry and David and also Quentin and Maddie but it's unclear to me if they got to The Detour at the same time I couldn't see them ever interacting with each other so for all we know Quentin Maddie was out of this even by the time they got to The Detour yes yeah they seem to be far behind everybody else so really these driving leagues have really you know sort of people are and moved the leaderboard around and I think that's a good thing because it's not always very you know a linear race yeah lovable Nikki

08 Who says Quinn and Maddie said that once they came into the area the barriers came up behind and in front of them the light the light the Lighty thingy had a call box so Maddie got out and asked to be let out so if you've got bollards at both sides of you've done something wrong you look bad you probably shouldn't have been down that street it was probably a restricted Street for certain businesses and Courier drivers to go down there and yeah well you know if you're in a foreign country and you don't know where you're going things can happen it can escalate very quickly though that'd be scary because obviously the bollards at the front come up so you're stuck and obviously they don't want someone like me in that street who's going to reverse so put up the back ones as well yeah I've got a feeling some other people have tried it before and that's why they've they're like we're one ahead of you know one ahead of you think that you're playing Checkers and we're playing chess this is what they're thinking on their side but Aubry and David they do squeak in here David someone that picks up languages pretty quickly as well they had a change of strategy here this leg Michelle with Aubry becoming the driver and David looking at the map do you think that maybe now Aubry and David can Thrive because I think when we talk about the teams that are

28 Left currently in the race most of us would be thinking Aubry and David they're probably out next do you think this is a little bit too late for them to still gain some momentum or do you think that this is the winning strategy moving forward look you know what you see so much on this race is the man driving and the woman looking at the maps where in real life usually I'm not trying to be sexist but usually the man is better at navigating than the woman a man is usually better at a map than a woman oh my God please don't kill me people but you know with me I told you before I have to move the map around to make sure I'm going in the right direction and my husband goes you're just ridiculous so I think it's sensible for the woman to be driving and the man to be navigating I think that's the best thing to do but we don't see it very often so maybe this will help them yeah Glennon remember did that right I think Linda was driving in lumba was doing the map but yeah it's an interesting one because the navigation is such a pivotal point you know like if you don't get the navigation right no matter how good a driver you are you're not going to get to the right place and David had the problem in the previous leg where you know they weren't very good and I sort of made a point of mentioning this at the recap that I did last week often of really getting an

49 Understanding between them and communicating you know they don't have the same language when they stress that's basically what I'm getting at and removing the thing that made them stress out which was the navigation part of it and David feeling frustrated because he couldn't drive and look at the map at the same time and Aubry getting very vocal and kind of raising a voice at him and he didn't like that and how he liked to be communicated to I think there was a winning strategy for them you know moving forward in the game and I do hope that they think nicely like okay yeah it did not work for them but Hey listen hats off to them you know if it's not working change something up you know the definition of Madness is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result and yeah hats off to them I also want to bring up here that lovable Nikki says Quinn and Maddie said that they could see Aubry and David leaving the mat while they were running to check in oh so we're now running to chicken for the pit stop oh no that's horrible yeah that's awful when you're that close and you're out yeah because I was wondering how they like I looked at the boat and I'm like is Quentin and like is Aubry and David hiding underneath the boat in the little area like how did they get out of the way I was like where are where is everybody all the teams are like hiding inside that little boat inside and having to stay quiet isn't it seriously where they're all sleeping on

09 All those Canal boats that'd be awesome but you couldn't I don't think you could fit all of the teams into that one boat but that would be a pretty cool experience I wonder why they've waited so long to have Aubrey Drive I believe she cannot drive manual but that wasn't automatic that makes sense that makes sense because I always keep forgetting that it's because in South Africa manual is like the only way you can drive like you know you're very lucky if you get another if you get an automatic you're lucky in South Africa so it was it was strange for me having to get used to driving an automatic coming to New Zealand because in New Zealand that's the most you know similar to Australia that's what you get predominantly as automatic vehicles and it's strange how such a small thing can be such a an Achilles Hill for so many teams God yeah definitely yeah it's not something on Survivor is like you've got to drive a manual on the race yeah 100 so what did you think of the pit stop with the little boat on the canal and it was it was I didn't realize that they had canals like that over there you know because it looked like a lot like the English canals yeah and so yeah I thought oh that's really pretty and it's such a nice Pit Stop I can't remember what

30 Season but I think they were in England where they had to actually navigate a little boat on the canal well it wasn't little it was quite long and then they all got stuck in one section I think it was pretty recent I think it was in England but I love the idea of little canals going through the countryside so it was something different at least yeah no 100 I think it was a beautiful setting that they had there for the pit stop obviously some people were happier to get him than others sadly for quindon and Maddie it's gonna be no more than not in the game anymore they had a real passion for running this race and I was sad to see them go because they felt like they had more to give but it does look like this will strengthen their friendship for years to come in the future and it'll be something that they can talk about who knows maybe we see Clinton and Maddie in a future race again they had a lot of heart I would certainly not be opposed to that even though I know that there are some really capable teams that have not come back yet but I'm sure would love to do an All-Star season if it was ever there one more question for you Michelle Louis said in this episode that he's never even bought Legos do you think it's true do you call fake news on it yes he's a boy well he was a boy doesn't every boy have Lego yeah I was like no way Louie you've never done Lego like you've had to have

50 Bought some Lego before but I get what he was saying you know he's not a boulder it's pretty straightforward this challenge you know right puzzle thing you know that I mean they were puzzle really real and sand over the top Louie and Michelle will get a little bit of an advantage with the next leg going to Spain do you think that they know a little bit of Spanish with the Latina I feel like they're from that background right yeah so maybe some advantages mind you a lot of Americans have a little bit of Spanish well I mean I'm generalizing here but a lot of the ones that I know can speak some sort of Spanish as well so but the ones who are obviously fluent will have a leg up yeah maybe there'll be a really good one for them so Spain is going to be next they're going to be getting away and Louis was outside whether it's too nice in Florida yeah fair enough fair enough Florida apparently has got it's like some all the time it's like the Dubai of America you know it's like great weather outside so it probably wasn't playing inside indoors it was outside all the time yeah back to my train of thought here they're going to be leaving in these pairs I believe again so you're gonna have Derek and Claire and Louie and Michelle leaving together

10 In first place they'll probably work together pretty well Emily and Molly and Mike Marcus and Michael you just can't split these two teams up they're going to be leaving together in the second one and I believe Aubry and David's going to be on their own on the last one I believe that's how it's going to be hopefully they're not hopefully though three or a three and a two I'm hoping I'm hoping I'm misunderstanding that because that's going to be a massive disadvantage for them but it's a massive disadvantage to be running against these four really strong teams at this point if we come back next week and they're still in the race then that's a victory in itself for them yeah who do you think's going out I mean the smart money is on Aubry and David at this stage sadly to be the team that's not going to make it Marcus and Michael have been Superstars for most of this but they've shown that there is a in their armor they can make mistakes they are human like Louis said in this episode I do think though they're going to be looking at it they seem to be very pragmatic about things and they're going to be what else are you going to do in the hotel room overnight you're going to be talking about the areas you imagine you're going to be talking about how you can communicate better I think they come back stronger and better in this next League my outside chance potentially and I would be like this would be sad but it would make sense do we see Emily and Molly maybe a

30 Surprise shock elimination her knee doesn't hold up and yeah she looked in a lot of pain when she got to the finishing mat I don't know if it was Tears of Joy or if it was tears of pain because she was pushing through with her knee I don't know if I was on the race I'd be taking pain medication just in case they wouldn't give me any because they'd probably want to say no you just have to go you have to go to the doctor see how it is I'd be like no taking pain medication until my knee broke or something but she's in a lot of pain why isn't she taking anything it's worrying me yeah lovable Nikki says I'm afraid the twins will not be able to continue if that happens we Riot we start a change.org we say bring the twins back you know for another season there's a few people they can now bring back you know who is the two Heroes who played in the last season and couldn't come back you know oh yeah get them back I forgot their names already that would be exciting God I'm friends with one of them Dustin yeah no Dustin I'm confused with Dustin and Candace Dusty and

53 Come on Chris sorry Dusty and sorry I was reading the comment and trying to think if it's spoiler territory that karudi is putting in the comments or not I don't know but just in case it is it's already on the trailer I won't talk about it on the stream because in case somebody does listen to this later on and they don't want to even know that I won't say it but that's interesting information apparently something was shown on the trailer that already shows it's dusty and Ryan love will Nicky is just coming I'm just looking because I thought I can't cope with this thank you sorry I was talking about I think wasn't it Cameron wasn't it Cameron and someone else or I'm trying to remember who was from the previous Amazing Race 33 I'll tell you in a second who was a really good team but they also left early because they couldn't make it back that season it was Anthony and Spencer that's who I'm thinking about so Anthony and Spencer I would bring back I love Dusty and Ryan and you know Dusty is a friend of the channel but if I had to choose bring some teams back that maybe didn't have a fair shake at it I'd say bring back Anthony and Spencer who could have easily been there at the end last season and bring back the twins if they don't make it past this next week yep edit team fun hadn't already had a couple of goes I'd say them because they went out they were

13 Medevaced out has anyone else had to leave because of medical issues I well there was the there was the father and son right who came back and then we won't say well but they did pretty well coming back so yeah so that's the only other one that I can think of but we never want to see a team leave in this way in any case yeah and then I think that if we look at how the teams are doing Derek and Claire and Louis and Michelle they're hitting this stride right now they're like perform teams to beat so I wouldn't be shocked if we get a Louis Michelle or a Derek or Claire or potentially military Brothers when at the end of this I think we've seen enough to show us they're showing us the twins's you know knee injury for a reason they could maybe fall short which would be sad I hope I'm wrong and then Aubry and David I just haven't seen anything that you know there's nothing it's nothing on them it's just the producers haven't given us much to shout for around them edit yeah and that's telling us that they won't go to final three yeah all they won't win like they could get there but they won't win so yeah I just feel like I don't know enough about them yet so that's how it takes here for this week unless Michelle is there anything we haven't touched on someone

33 I read somewhere that they think next week is a coupon Racing League really have you seen that somewhere no I haven't so another Mega leg well someone was mentioning it but the only reason we had a mega leg last time wasn't it because we had a team go out we've got five teams right now still left in the game we will have one two three episodes left three episodes left so it could be a mega League yeah so it has to be yeah three episodes left so potentially here five go into five end up four going forward yeah exactly yeah I think it's five teams left in the Derek and Louis sorry Derek Michelle Emily and Molly Marcus Michael or Aubry and David yeah so yeah we and by the looks of the three episodes left so we may have a another Mega League type of situation which would be exciting all right anything else from your own D Michelle I think so I think that was it yes I think we got through it was a pretty straightforward episode this time I think that the lead hasn't really changed that much Derek and clear congratulations on winning this league well done you guys are back at the top going into next week myself and Michelle we will be back next week to talk about the Amazing Race 34 episode nine
