1:33 A camel and then we saw like four camels over the course of the show it was funny so much livestock over there in the city and it looked busy as ever like we know India is a very busy country hello kiwi and hello lovable Nikki yes we're back we're back to talk about the Amazing Race I know lovable Nikki had a very close eye on her favorite team Morgan and Lena this episode we all know lovable Nikki was cheering them on to get into the top four right Michelle yes yeah she was yeah she's gonna come for me because it's not a favorite team but I remember like I had a little bit of a bicker this week did you talk about it us know oh they had a biger I thought I thought you had a bicker with someone in the one of the amazing race fan groups no this week's been pretty calm I mean one person said they've been pretty bored watching the show and I'm like I don't understand that because literally I wrote in my notes they've done so much in the first 15 minutes like we seem to be here and there and going there and getting this clue and then doing this and doing that and I was looking at it and I thought God how far into

2:53 The show are we and I was like it was 15 minutes I was like okay this is this is crazy and This Woman's saying I'm bored I'm like okay well I feel like and this is just me personally I know you're a big Amazing Race fan and you would always want more content I feel like the longer episodes are working out better for Survivor personally because Survivor so strategy focused there's so many game mechanics and twists that are being utilized within the game that it actually gives us an opportunity to see some great character development right I don't necessarily think that it's translating as well to The Amazing Race because we're just seeing more of the same thing like it feels dragged out some of the challenges and that's not on the teams that are doing it I didn't know if like if I put my production hat on if the 90minut episodes work out as well for me yes I can I can sort of understand where you're coming from but I want more I always want more I love the show so much just give me more but Michelle two hours pardon you'll take two hours that's the typical it's double up on the on the run and can we have three epod a week but yeah exactly but Survivor yes because you hear more about the strategy you get to know them more as

4:13 People and that's what we do in the Aussie Survivor we get to know them more as people and as personalities yeah H yes love all Nikki you're on my that's not that's not the first time I've annoyed Nikki it's just that's just B for the course you know but no listen it's just I can kind of understand whether it's where it's coming from but let's talk a little bit about the big game mechanic that did come into this episode The U-turn right you and I had some thoughts about this in the previous episode and our worst fear did come true it was a vote at the start of the league now that we saw it play out how do you feel about it I think I'm happy that they didn't get to see who voted for them because then it brings in the whole mechanic at the end where you know Anna anal is it anal Le anal yep analie is you know saying who voted for me and you know and then there's the people who say no like on Survivor and then you figure Well it can't possibly be all NOS and some people say yes and then that makes them salty and I think it adds a bit more but I rather have it in the middle of the leg when people can see who's coming first last

5:33 And it's funny how some people did vote as who was coming first who's a strong team and then there was one team was it was it my favorite bearded hariry team I think it was them who said we want to get someone who's behind us because then there's a possibility to get them out like if a person at top is you know you turned there's they won't get they may not get out and then you've just kept them in the race anyway you want to get so J julan Garrett did end up voting for Steven analy I think the team you're referring to is Todd and Ashley so Todd and Ashley wanted to go for someone behind them that they could guarantee that they were going to go home which seemed like a smart move from this case there's a lot that happened here right like firstly I don't like this format of the U-turn personally at all because it gives people a an opportunity to take someone out that is really good in the race that have been performing and I don't like that I like it if that the team that's performing well and they somehow prevent to get U-turn and they're ahead of the U-turn that to me seems a bit more fair but I understand that you know they're trying different things and then you mentioned that a lot of people kept it a secret who they voted for the only team who kept it a secret was Andrea

6:54 And Melena they all say did everyone say everyone else who they voted for okay I must have missed that owned up a minute or something because I remember them being on the stairs saying who they voted for but I don't think they were all there at the time lovable Nikki doesn't like the fact that anal was upset about the fact that she got u-turned and you know what this week an and Steve became my favorite team they've now overtaken Andrea and molena for me like I love the underdog team she said they were sneaky for you turning them sorry Em that's not sneaky yes lovable Nikki she's been ridiculous because it's not sneaky they had to do it they had to do it in a board that way and they told her to her face quite a few of them so how is that sneaky sorry well one of them lied one of them lied so she's trying to figure out who the team is that lied to her but listen I feel like an Le was just in her emotions but I still think she's a badass competitor like because again it's like whenever it's one thing to be at the top right and that they're a team that have really gone through this right because they started off let's have a look at their placements they started off on sixth place sixth place then went to first then second then first and then after the U-turn U-turn they ended up seventh

8:14 It's one thing to be at the top of the pack and do well but what happens if someone punches you like you know that famous saying from Muhammad Ali Everybody's Got A Plan until they get smacked in the face yeah and they stood up you gota you got to give them credit a weaker team would have gone home yeah exactly they stayed in this game so I really do like them I think you know I get it's annoying it's a game you should take it on the chin if you get you know U-turn but we're not out there playing the game like so much more emotionally attached yeah and I do like them as a team and I'm not going to take it away from her just because she said something stupid but yeah don't say stupid things you my Nemesis now yeah Nikki and I just not seeing eye to eye this season I don't know what's going on Nikki like we're normally so let's see if you can find something else that she loves hey let's go down the up and see what happen well she doesn't like Annalie and I don't mind Steve and anal I think they're a pretty good team and she doesn't like the sisters and I like the sisters as well so we're just not seeing eye to eye at the moment I don't know why you know because I like a hot mess team I like a team that fights their way to the to the pit stop can be fun sometimes what did you think of the monocular part of this good I mean I love that hotel it's

9:34 Such a cool hotel and I mean we didn't get shown if they look through the whole you know a whole lot of Windows from left to right or right to left they seemed we only saw the bit where they actually found it straight away I was looking at it and thinking my God that's an address what is that's such an unusual address but you know it's India and I was thinking God you want to make sure you write it down properly or else you're going to ask somebody what is this and they're not going to know so I love to how Robin just asked the person that she that was right next to the challenge where's this address and they were like it's there and she's like you wouldn't want to take us there would you just's like just fully doing the sales pitch trying to get him to walk them to wherever they're going but I thought it was interesting like I've had my fair share of experience using binoculars so I would have been similar to Rob I would have thought you would sort of adjust it at the top by going horizontal but this one you had to like move it in and out for it to get into Focus so a few teams struggled with that obviously a monocular not something that people have used on a day-to-day basis I've never used one so I would have probably been caught out a little bit on that myself as well good little challenge they have to go to Rick Shores and it was interesting because apparently rck

13:35 Was interesting because they go and get these rituals there's a cluster of them they have to move them around to get their rituals out of it so a little bit of fun with that probably the only other thing that stood out for me here was when Jeremy and Liam got there and they so clearly missed the mark ralw it just once again showed why they like where were they this whole episode like they were they were running their own race they were not in La Land yeah I mean it was that bad Michelle they didn't even like try and keep it suspenseful towards the end like they didn't even try and like who's gonna come first no they by themselves like it couldn't be it was it was bad and I think it just kind of showed a little bit here but they do get to The Detour obviously analy and Steve does notice that they have to go do both the detours being bundles and Bricks Mich which one would you have gone for bundles I would have done bundles but I don't understand even after watching those knots so many times how the hell are they putting the top of that material together I don't I don't get it and this is where Lena spits the dummy is it Lena who spits the dummy one of them does yes doesn't like it because Morgan's trying to

16:16 Back yeah get back what get back from where you started where you and you have to come back you know you have to come back with the receipts for the bundles or whatever you had to come back with the bricks you still have to got a really I have a really good like sense of direction like that's something that I'm normally pretty good at but I feel like in India and those streets it looked manic out there and we nearly lost the team and jel and Garrett Joel realizing this is not his road bike he's got back at home you know was so excited to finally cycle get on a bicycle and then needing to get the water along the way just showing you how physically draining that challenge would have been and my man Todd he's not built for those bikes man like his legs like his knees was nearly hitting his chin every time he was trying to like pedal like he's way too big for those bikes yeah he's like nearly twice the size of an Indian man that's why he was not he was not bued for those bikes so I feel like I feel like it looked like the one I would have taken but after seeing it play out on the screen probably the safest choice would have been to go for bundles because even you know how all of them were obsessing about the way that you actually tie the whole thing together I don't think that the person they delivered it to even care like it

17:36 Didn't look like he was looking at it or anything I think I don't think it mattered but I think it made it easier to carry but yeah I really want to know how to tie those bundles now I don't even know is there a possibility on YouTube I hate not knowing stuff so I really want to know how to tie the bundles M Melena was saying it's just remember to crisscross what you said to Liam y that didn't mean anything to me and trying to look at the fabric and no it wasn't working it was it was interesting obviously and they had to go to the to the temple and then there was one outside that they had to deliver yeah it looked tough and then you know stepen an's been pretty impressive this season but they do make a mistake here they do forget to get the receipt as they move to the next otherwise they could have potentially been in the top four that's how they were super quick through that first one like I mean the other teams were not even catching up to them at all they seriously just didn't read the clue properly yeah read the clue mistake oh yeah totally a Ricky mistake there but you know that put them back we didn't see much of them struggling out there trying to get the bricks to the place that they needed to get it to but just on the basis of seeing how much julan Garrett Robin Cory and Greg and John struggled to get there I feel like they probably would have had their own

18:56 Struggles but they kind of edited that out of the show this really gave that yeah I was just gonna say gave that bottom it gave that bottom pack you know sort of an opportunity to catch up again to them you know the likes of Andrea Melania Robin and Chelsea and Liam and yery they sort of caught up because of the fact that Stephen eny made that mistake exactly I'm just I'm not used to being so far into the show and still having so many teams left I'm enjoying it I more because we started with 13 teams yeah so because we still had nine left and we still had quite a bit of content and we've got an hour and a half I'm like wow this is amazing but it feels like the race has already been going on quite a while even because we've only lost four teams they're making up for that season where we like lost half of the cast so they're like we owe you some episodes yeah so it's payback this season Co season yeah that was that was a horrible season where we just lost like half of the cast That season but they had to do 50 bricks sand and gravel would have been pretty heavy and then the second person like for instance Todd and Ashley was sitting on it quite a few times where Todd was like not only like cycling with all of that but he

20:16 Also had to like move her on top of that as well so and did you see backpack or his backpack nearly went flying because they had they had the one of the tags not one of the tags one of the things you tie up around your waist it was hanging off the side of it and another rig sha or bike something went past and pulled the edge and literally it was coming off and then it was fling back like a rubber band and went back onto their thing and she went o and then it came back so yeah thing that got the passports and everything in it doesn't it well it was the big backpack so imagine if the whole backpack had gone off with some other person and they would have had to just try and turn around and get it like yeah it would have been interesting yeah it looked like you know you could lose an arm or a leg out on the road there if you if you misjudge like even slightly how you're driving out there it looked dangerous a few times where people nearly crash into each other route info they do have to go to this textile company it's in this I guess Factory the biggest thing that stood out for me is when Greg and John got there they just said oh so quiet in here because can you imagine the constant noise

21:36 And the bars in India like it's such a sensory overload not just like I bet you're like the different smells there and the things you see like with all of the art and how they're into that and then the noise and everything like it would be such a sensory overload so that when you go into a place like that into a factory it's just quiet which would probably feel so surreal you know very I loved it I was think oh God are they going to get them to do the Aussie challenge where they have to start you know dressing up you know as something you haven't watched the Australian one have you I have not I have not okay there was a challenge where they had a mannequin of a married a couple who was getting married and they had to dress up as the married couple and they had to get Fabric and they had to get the scares and all the paraphernalia and because they said fabric shop I thought oh my God are they doing the Australian thing but no that would have taken way too long in the middle of the leak so yeah just picking up a bolt of fabric which is quite bizarre and then they just took it to the fabric place that makes the peacocks yeah and I mean that was really cool and we'll talk about the roadblock here in a second IG is bringing up an interesting comment here saying according to

22:56 RIT last episode currently had a 1hour break between roadblock and Detour I wonder if it happened this episode two we've kind of heard about things like that where they potentially take breaks between legs and things like that we interviewed I'm trying to remember who it was that we interviewed that said that it might have been Dusty that mentioned that when I interviewed him a couple of seasons ago it's possible I mean I don't know what happens behind the scenes to be honest yeah that's unusual well I haven't heard of that before well I've heard of breaks between you know EPs and how you know they vary but not in the middle of a an episode yeah similar to lovable Nikki that's what she's saying there as well interesting IG I didn't know there was any breaks ever until the pit stop IG says yeah teams were spotted sitting down and Greg and John entered the detour right I wonder if they just I wonder if they just sat down because they wanted a break like I mean it's interesting like yeah I wouldn't know but yeah they do go to this roadblock and in the roadblock they like you mentioned they've got the they've got this thing where they've got to do a print of nine peacocks and this looked like a fun challenge but not one I would have been good at if I was the one chosen for it we'd probably still be there it's funny that they said who likes

24:16 Playing with blocks or something like that and I probably would have thought yeah that's me boys were chosen if it was a girl boy team it's the boys were chosen I love playing with Lego know they're playing with words it's not going to be blocks yeah you know I was mean at Lego when I was younger you know I could build the biggest Lego fors but I don't know how it would have gone on the Amazing Race if I chose this it would have been it would have been a struggle because you know arts and crafts was never really my thing I think I could have figured it out but I would have been freaked out if I noticed that it's something to do with paint and getting all these different colors and yeah it looked tough I would have probably been some SAR to Rob like he was probably the who struggled the most out of all of them and he's so good at everything so it actually quite shocking to see him struggle at this one yeah well some people aren't don't have the attention to detail and it needed such intricate detail in that where you place the block down really determine whether you got a big red cross on your peacock or not so you know you had to I would be so meticulous it' be boring TV because I be just going okay get in the right spot and then put it down they wouldn't watch me team red

25:37 That's Rob and Cory and they were getting a lot of red x's on their or Rob's peacocks it wasn't it wasn't working for him but that judge man he had all the fun in the world those exes all every single time he was enjoying himself a little bit too much like Todd said you know he there was a couple of times where he thought okay I got it and then the guy just went back to get more come and do more ex's you know and he was enjoying it was good I loved it that would be the most fun job you have to give it to him he you know held his Co you could tell he was seething under the surface but a none of them lost their call which was I feel like the person who was the closest to losing their call was Melena she was closest yeah and again the whole Rel ship between Andrea and Melena really gets explained here is it just me or would Andrea be like a great friend to have I feel like she'd be like the perfect best friend to have like because she's standing with Melena she's clearly she's got the social skills she's I don't know what it is I just like Andrea I reckon she's a beast you know like she sounds to be a good sounds to be such an awesome friend you know to have yeah someone you'd want in your corner when the chips are down

26:57 And that's why melena's running the race with her Andre's been stepping up so far throughout the race so this was melena's opportunity to step up and do the road block in this case and she did reasonably well because Andrea kept her cool K and collected you know through this whole roadblock which was good to see Greg and John though they got there first they were there with Robin Cory for quite a while before anybody else got there they do get out of there before anybody else I feel like the first place was sort of it was waiting to happen for them because they've had two third places they've had a second place except for the two legs where they dropped back to eth which wasn't good for them they seem to be a very solid team like and they going to New Zealand how happy was Phil when he said my home country that was ni yeah and the places that they're going are pretty cool as well like those are locations great yes I've been to I've been to Lake her where before I've been to like mon you know Queenstown it's beautiful like they're going to love it over there I know Greg and John's going to love it I mean I've literally just moved from New Zealand so spend a lot of time there great reward to win but I think Greg and John they're Prime for this thing moving forward now that they can definitely perform Robin Cory obviously getting in second place
