5:34 Thank you have to do like a makeshift setup at like my mom's house with like my iPad so yes we're making it work as we can yeah it's working well it's working well so let's go around the table and ask the obvious question what have we been thinking about this season so far was hyped to be battle for a new Champion these are supposed to be the people that are going to carry this franchise on their shoulders hopefully for the next decade that's kind of what it's built to be at this stage chel how have you felt about this season overall and you feel living up to that hype that was created preseason I was one of the people that was really hyped on this season I was excited that like there was not going to be any vacation Alliance that's going to be dominating everything dominating the strategy choosing who's going to be going home I thought it was like it wasn't going to be predictable it was just going to be really electric every single week and then the chaos pH chaos phase was going to be like super electric and like we're going to see these Champs come in and like be doing something that they're really good at and people like I hyped it up for too much because in my opinion this season has not lived up to the hope and expectation that I had for it for the most part it's because these newbies that we don't really they haven't really deserved you know the

6:54 The ability to just have this one big group and just pick people off so like as much as we don't like the vacation Alliance and like the big the numbers coming together and just like staying to with their numbers we want we always want people to break that up as much as we don't like that they've had Seasons where they were the underdog where they tried to break it up where they were always trying to do things to shake up the status quo and so now that they're being a little bit lazy because like they put in their time okay now they have a boring Alliance but these people haven't put in their time and they have the boring Alliance and every single opportunity that somebody has to break it up they're just getting taken out by people that are on like the bottom of the big Alliance and it's just like every single chance and opportunity just keeps on disappearing and like I didn't know I was a Mariah stand until this season but she sees like our only hope that this season will be broken up like [Music] her all like her and K who I'm all in on like I never saw it coming I feel like the more we see of kylin and the more we see him on reality TV shows we get to understand why he had the slip of the tongue like he had in Big Brother In some ways like you almost get a better understanding for what happened there and you can have like a like obviously the words were quite cutting but he's almost like you know Melissa told him in her love letter back to him he's like a robot

8:14 He's like AI you know he doesn't have the he doesn't think through what he's saying at times and how it would come across it's almost like he doesn't have that emotional side I don't think he does it on purpose but I feel like I've become a bigger and bigger fan of kyin the Mo's been on my screen in any case definitely one of the rising stars for me personally from this season but angel cake what's your thoughts obviously Chantel was high coming into this season I was high coming into the season I really wanted the season to be great and I think at times it has delivered but at times it's also Fallen flat what's your thoughts on this season so far so I was kind of correct in the sense that I was like I wouldn't be surprised if this was the lowest rated Challenge season and it hit New Rock bottoms I don't think the challenge producers ever thought that it could hit with the ratings in general but so that didn't surprise me but I thought that the game play and then once we get to see some of these players play that maybe the word of mouth would have brought up a ton of like ton of people to check back in with the show but the gameplay has been very lacking I think the big reason was the predictability with the vacation Alliance and everything and coming into this season we thought maybe there would be this unpredictability maybe there would be these splits and see what these new players can

9:34 Bring to the table and it seemed to just add more predictability just with less known names and that's not a great combination so I gave as much I could like I gave it as much leash as I could some things I kept on being like ah that seems weird but everybody's still trying to get their bearings in they've only played one season two seasons a spin-off but by the time we get to this past week's episode I was like all right I think I've hit the spot where I feel like this episode may be leading into bringing in some potential storylines potential gameplay hey watch out for these people but we're in episode 11 and I don't feel we need setup at this point we need to be seeing fireworks starting so yeah I'm pretty kind of down especially with some of the champion eliminations that we've gotten so far like counting stuff in crates and putting pegs in what are we doing chains I just don't I don't get it I really bring in Laurel to do this combination thing this episode like what are we what are we doing like is this what Laurel's strength is like you want to see these Champions come in Champions come in and do something that they're good at and I don't feel like they're necessarily even derell last episode you know with what he needed to do like yes maybe

10:55 His experience would help him somewhat but I feel like you've got one of the pioneers of the show which by the way can we talk about the absolute disrespect from TJ not to actually acknowledge that derell is at that level if we're going to be saying that Tori is the goat and she's like one of the best to ever do it and that intro for derell like I know he hasn't been doing much in recent Seasons but the guy is a legend of the show Shantel the only person to do it four times back to back absolutely I mean I was everybody was wondering like oh is he is car Maria coming in earlier than we expected that's what I we thought that we saw T in like the preview like maybe we're wrong like literally with his big announcement of Tori coming in coming in and then derell getting absolutely nothing I was like I think the franchise really wants to hang their whole act hat onto Tor she is the face of the challenge they want her to be the new face they want her to be it and everything and it's kind of like they're forcing it down her throats and we just we just we're not eating it like we don't want it tast good did you see that was probably like the most he debate between me and Kahuna ever on any of the challenge Seasons cuz he was trying to make watch I was like losing my mind I'm like what where am I like no disrespect to kuna because he does have some good takes every two out of his 10 takes are pretty decent no I love kuna but he

12:15 Really stand for his girl Tori he loves Tori but I'm just like she's up and coming and she can definitely get there but we can't say that she is there today like there just no chance that she's a goat of the show today and this is no hate tutor because sometimes she does get a lot of criticism which I understand why kuna pushes the opposite direction to show some love as well because sometimes fans can get a little bit go too far when it comes to these players and I'm sure angel cake having met a lot of these players now it's probably changing even your opinion about them a little bit because you get to have these conversations weeken and week out with them having some interviews and potentially a little bit of chat before going live and a little bit of chat after going live what's your thoughts on the whole situation with Tori being a goat not a goat and yeah like I guess your thoughts since you've started doing interviews like has it changed your perspective a little bit when you talk about some of these people and when you watch the show there's some people that I will change my mind either for the better and not necessarily for the worst but I found myself when I'm talking to somebody I can feel their fandom of the show and like if we can like if I can feel that connection in the first couple of minutes of like or the first couple of seconds of talking I feel like it goes so much smoother I feel like they have good vibes of the game and to me I feel like we could connect and talk for like hours like I feel like kylin and I could probably talk for a long time

13:35 But there's some people and mainly during this season that I just felt like I couldn't Jael with because they hadn't watched the Show recently they hadn't watched the show at all they really didn't even watch their own season when they first aired and to me it's like I can ask as many questions as I can but there's points where it's like I can't push past a certain level I feel like we're there's a barrier in between us and that's where my where I get fearful because this season in particular was more people that I didn't feel that fandom connection to like I did with USA 2 or they didn't feel like they were like so wrapped up into the game like in the past ones that I did but I to me I think this is where you as a as a show especially with this kind of like set up you got to stay away from the whole goat situation give everybody a good intro give everybody some accolades just say their resum if you want to but don't label one person the goat and then now it now everything around that seems like you're either disrespecting or you're kind of like throwing them off to the side a little bit because yeah for him to be like come on out derell 14

14:55 14 time vet he won his first four seasons and it's like yeah but you that you didn't say anything about goat status and now yeah now everything prior to this and after this especially with like Cara and C coming in it's like or even Laurel this past week it's like what are you gonna say about them and what are you not gonna say about them so I didn't say much about Laurel either like that like you all know I'm Kara Maria like when it comes to the two I'm like Kar Maria is my girl but you got to give respect to Laurel like she is also one of the now pioneers of the show because you know when she came in was kind of like m through the whole challenge sort of show but she's done her bit and I was listening out very carefully is he going to slip out is he going to tell us that she's won a championship maybe that she hasn't won now I'm GNA have to listen out for K Maria because we know that she's already done an All-Star season so I was trying to find him slipping up on something here as well so he didn't say that so I will say that TJ this season in particular I've noticed is very Ador I don't know why it just sounds like he they redid a lot of his think heting I don't know if he did I don't know if the mics were just bad or if it was choppy or if it was windy I don't know but I've just noticed in like every single episode there's always like one two or three parts that is just always ADR like they had to go back in studio and had to do

16:15 It over again so I don't know and we're getting less of this TJ and C back and forth banter at the moment as well because a lot of the people that are playing this season they don't know him as well he's not as familiar with them I loved Raven this episode going down and being like well you keep telling them to throw strong people down here TJ thank you very much and he's like you're welcome so seeing a little bit of that like I'm a big Raven fan as well I have been this whole season I'm enjoying her is she messy yes is she the best game player ever to play the game no but is she at least giving us something and does she have a little bit of a fight in her Chantel I do think she does have those things and dare I say I wouldn't mind seeing Raven get more opportunities if this season doesn't work out for her because the numbers are against her she's now taking out Laurel Apparently one of only three people to do so in the history of the show that's pretty impressive right well okay so in terms of Raven I'm actually like bummed that I didn't end up picking her instead of I remember the girl that I took instead the actually she volunteered to go down and was out first anyways I was like I just wish that I just trusted that Raven would just do better than that girl Jessica because I definitely think that you know she's been really strong this season she wants to be there she doesn't play very well but I at least like that she's trying a little bit like you know

17:35 Yeah she is definitely messy I don't like how she was kind of treating Melissa I know Melissa was kind of in the wrong at some points and like I just didn't like their dynamic because Ren was still on the bottom and so I would have hoped that she had worked with Melissa instead of like kind of just like stepping on Melissa while she was down already but you know putting that aside I'm really impressed that she was able to go down even though she had the help of the rest of the cast and win against Laurel but my bone that I have to pick is that with these Champions coming in they're giving these big accolades of their credentials and what they've accomplished and these are the goats and they're not giving them something that they're known for you kind of mentioned this already Chris and then we can have confessionals from Burna being like I don't know why everybody's scared of Laurel she seem that impressive so you want all your Champions to not look as impressive because you give them a janky kind of you know carnival game like it's just so frustrating that like they should be using these Champions that they have to go through at something that they're either really amazing at or maybe it was one of the eliminations that they won or one of the eliminations that they lost that they would repeat and make them have to go and beat them at something like that but I wish it was something that was more impressive because I don't think standing on a platform

18:56 And trying to get you know barrels lit up should have been like a pole wrestle or something and Raven and Laurel going up against each other on like a pole wrestle would have been exciting because you know I think Raven physically give but it would been a hard fight yeah now it's like I just wish that it was it was more impressive of what these Champs have been known to do and why people are actually scared of them it's just been really a letdown that these new contenders can have an opinion about these Champions because they're not giving them anything that's in their strength while we're and lucana is loving what you're dishing out at the moment she's eating it all up she's leaving nothing on the plate here preached and tell this eliminations are ridiculous and this is why I go back to the Jordan elimin like the Jordan Arena and a lot of people were kind of like annoyed with Jordan because he strong armed production in that one if you know about the behind the scenes he got them to stop and say hey can we get the rules explained again cuz I feel like we're playing two different games here I appla him for doing that and standing his ground being like no I'm taking pride in my record of being one of the best when it comes to being down in the sand so I'm going to make sure that this is going to play out fairly and that the rules are going to be applied in the way that it should be he probably is one of the few people who did get something that actually played into his strength so at

20:16 Least they gave him that we can agree to that but it caused also one of the biggest moments in my opinion of the season so far with emuel turning his back on Jordan because the disrespect from that I was so I was he I had to listen to an angel cake after hours Bakery to calm me the hell down and angel cake explaining all the different angles and maybe what happened behind the scenes which I wasn't aware of up until the point of going live and maybe why he turned his back on Jordan at that time was because he felt like Jordan was maybe manipulating production or getting his way there angel cake what's your thoughts on the Emanuel turning his back Jordan maybe just being very protective of his record in the sand and wanting to make sure that it was a game all around I think I think what Jordan did was what Jordan would do no regardless I mean they said no wrestling and then they were kind of tugging at each other the whole time so that's when he decided to stop it and I think that's the pride of Jordan and this game is that he takes this game so seriously that he's like I want to play this fairly like if I get beat I want to be beaten knowing the rules and knowing that we're playing the same game like if we're on the same page then it's let's just go balls to the wall kind of VI so I the only thing that I feel is a little weird

21:36 Is that production like when he went to go talk to production and get the rules like production didn't bring over Kieran as well to like hey this is what we're doing this is what we're like because Kieran when I did the exit interview with him and with all the other exit interviews that he did he was pretty adamant that he stopped in the sand didn't do anything he went to go talk to production came back and then we started playing and then he took the next couple of rounds and he felt pretty like jaded that I he kind of got screwed in some of the situations about that so I wish that there was a little bit more transparency not only with just Kieran who was playing the elimination but everybody involved where it's like Jordan says something to production comes out re explains everything to everybody instead of the people on stage being like why is Jordan talking all the way across the arena and we have no idea what he's talking about or why he's saying something maybe there's a malfunction with his shoes or something because he threw him off so I just wish that there was a little bit more transparency but I mean right now his elimination is the best one and luckily they started off with that one because everything else has been kind of lackluster I've still been excited in the sense like I feel like the idea of bringing Champions into this season was brilliantly thought out because it kind of

22:56 Gets some of the existing fans who've got their favorites tuning in every week thinking who's going to be next like maybe it's going to be like for me maybe they'll get the chaos Maze and then they don't yeah like come on like are we building up this entire season for Jay to not get picked by CT is that is that what the buildup is because this just happened with Laurel not picking Michelle like Michelle's so worried she's so nervous like purple sweater like I'm calling her down and then can I say one thing chel is this maybe squashing the whole Theory out there that some fans have that the show is sometimes rigged because if it was trying to do that to throw us off so they're not because I feel like if the show was rigged they would have definitely the Laurel versus Michelle storyline would have been too appetizing for them not to put three maces down there you know for them to pull it out and be like I'm GNA choose Michelle because Michelle was shaking in her boots when Laurel came out and said I'm going to go for you umle sweater like so disrespectful that's I thought it was really funny she knew Laurel was coming as well so to me that's crazy like I feel like someone in production told her by the way Laurel's the next Champion can you talk about Laurel a little bit because it was just to on the nose for to be like I'm pretty sure Laurel's coming next unless it was after the elimination and she knew she wasn't going to get picked but something felt off production wise they drew for me did you pick up on that as well like how

24:16 Did she know sometimes so certain I mean we've seen that I mean we've seen it prior before I mean she just got done playing a season with Laurel so I'm sure she's like thinking that she's in the ranks that she's kind of open yeah she's around she can she but we've seen that happen in dirty30 when Jimmy dreamt that Ana was gonna be walking back in from the Redemption game and lo and behold Ana did win the Redemption game and came back I will say and Chris from the bakery the K Chris yes they mentioned that this was not even just like a disappointment in like the elimination for Laurel but like we didn't get barely any screen time with Laurel it felt like it just felt like Laurel came in we did 10 minutes she didn't get like she maybe got like four or six confessionals really quick and then she was just gone and I just feel like this elimination didn't take a lot of time they like cut it they spliced it as much as they could and then I think that it was just like whatever you know it was just like a whatever experience and maybe Laurel made a bigger deal about everything that was going on with the missing Peg or whatever and then they were just like you know what we could just we could just we can just have her leave

25:36 Now I mean she's not giving in her all and she didn't get Michelle so let's just Usher her out really Qui Bas what she had said after the fact was that you know she only really came down there for Michelle and that she didn't really want to take away the opportunity from every anybody else and that she really likes Raven and she saw that Raven was kind of not in a good position in the house so I think that a that took a lot of the Steam and the fire out of her this elimination the actual elimination itself obviously wasn't something that could have her be like super like amped up about like what she's counting colors on a chain and then recreating the pattern like okay that's really GNA get the animal out and Laurel and then also though in the way that this episode was edited we know that they usually do their confessionals about the elimination afterwards I fully could tell that she had lost right because like when she wins she has a little bit more like a haha like you know like an energy about her and she just was like yeah I'm G to go in there and like kick some butt and also she was like nothing can change the fact that you know I've achieved what I've achieved in the game and I'm a legend regardless so that type of attitude as well was like seems a little bit low energy for me it doesn't feel like she's going into this thing wining energy firing in all cylinders but I still thought she had enough in the tank to be able to beat Raven down there just based on experience and like kiwi

26:57 I think kiwi said it earlier she said that basically Raven winning this challenge was amazing to her because it didn't feel like it was the most complex thing out there it was just attention to detail taking your time a little bit you know Laurel the people and the probably played out as well because they were basically telling her what to do and it was interesting even to see like the different things that people were thinking on there like some people were pretending to help her but they really wanted Raven out because she's a tough competitor in the game but there's a lot of people we still need to talk about that we haven't spoken about we've mentioned that there hasn't been necessarily the big characters the great strategy that we've seen in previous Seasons but a character who came into the season already beloved by a lot of people was Big T but we always felt like Big T you know coming into this season she was probably going to be out gunned physically but she did the work sh she came in looking a little bit more fitter than ever she'd put on some bulk she put on some muscle you know coming into this and she actually beat two people in the arena which is not something that we've known her to do before what did you think of her showing in this season I mean I love big T I was so happy that she came back I remember when she originally was retiring saying that she was going to go to culinary school and that she wasn't planning on coming back but then learning now that she loves the challenge and that she will be back like I really appreciate her presence I really appreciate that she wants to play the game that she loves being there and I was just

28:17 So frustrated that a lot of people didn't take it as an opportunity to make the split that we were predicting right we thought that her Melissa all the UK people and any other International people were going to get together and just go up against the US and like we would have had a nice fun battle and it just never got to happen I hated the fact that she was a target from the beginning because what she's gonna strategize she wants to stay in the game and win she doesn't want to just be plucked off by the US people like what like so I was really frustrated for her journey she was able to prove herself and people were like still didn't want her there and it's just because she wasn't part of their Alliance and that also so is what's really frustrating about this season because anybody that wants to be there whether they're really good or really bad they can't really do anything about it because they don't have the numbers so lot of love for Big T A lot of love for Big T here in the live as well a lot of people loving on Big T this season and I've said this many of times so sometimes I feel like a broken record when I bring this up but I feel like no matter what the people that are in the US will always have an advantage because they can hang out together you know we know that the challenge family the CH challenge circle is a big like Michelle trying to even use that to get Laurel not to pick her this episode being like hey I'm friends with the people you're friends with and she's like it's not going to save you love that from Laurel that's one of the reasons we need to

29:37 Get her back on the main show next season for season 40 hopefully a Champions season or something like that but you know they have that Advantage where the Internationals they don't know each other they don't hang out they're all random people being plucked together coming into a season so I don't feel like they'll ever be able to get them all on the same page thinking together and working together angel cake but another person here that was mentioned and you can speak about Big T as well obviously as her ride or die this season Melissa who was your number one draft pick this season coming into the season did she live up to that expectation for you coming into this season how did she do I mean she did fantastically well until half of her points were stolen by somebody from this from this Trio but they came in biggest personalities most camera time most confessionals fun moments with the bribery with Ed which were getting from anybody else yeah and they were they stole the camera I mean Big T was cooking for the group they she was had her coming out party she had Corey L was using a ton of Big T and Melissa for a lot of camera time and then once they were gone I mean he has kind of gone to the Wayside until this past week's episode of winning but I mean this they were the main Entertainment System here

30:57 They were they were they were the driving force they were like the engine to this season I feel and once Big T left and then Melissa left right after her it just felt like a lot of people's storylines kind of broke apart you're kind of wondering who was going to be the narrator of this season and then why is it aof why is it aof aoft Michelle's getting a ton of confessionals it was really Michelle and Big T like trading back and forth with getting the most confessionals and then now Michelle has no competition whatsoever for confessionals but Mariah we see an uptick with Mariah we see an uptick with Raven this past week so I don't know it just it they were bringing so much of the driving force and the drama and the whole house can say like G they were so like we don't like them because they were they were starting so much drama in the house so you guys just want to lay around and just like chill out and not do anything all day yeah that'd be great that's great TV everybody yeah that's what Melissa was saying she's like oh at least with the Champs like they're they like to have fun and these people are just whispering in the corners they're so boring the season was so boring and like that sucks like if it's boring to be in the game imagine what it's like to watch yeah all good points and I can see people are going off not a lot of assv fans here in the crowd a lot of people

32:17 Saying he's cringey makes me angry assv is probably going to be on the next season guaranteed based on the emotions that it's bringing out of the live audience here and probably other because you know production needs to bring someone back that invokes a certain type of I'd rather Hue yeah but Hue like I've got to say youi just didn't do much for me either this season so I like listen let's talk about a little bit what is it that is making a not resignate with the fans at this stage because for me personally when I look at a s I just think to myself you're putting it on you're playing a character and you're not playing a very good character I think that a probably is one of the nicest most genuine people if you meet him outside of the game probably a really nice guy I don't I don't know I don't know him I don't follow his socials I don't know if he said anything controversial on there understand like I don't know if he's like that amazing of a guy but he's probably I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because I'm a glass full half full kind of guy not a glass half empty kind of guy but in saying this I can see on the show that he's definitely putting on a character and I think because we can see Angel cake that it's not authentic I think that is why people are notating with him would you agree to that I think I think it's not authentic but also the way he comes off with no elimination win I mean he's out here on Twitter calling out
