1:20 Up on camera how red my nose is but I had to pull it together we got we got the podcast to do I'm always up for the challenge even though this episode left a really bad taste in my mouth almost worse than the sick I've been feeling the last few days so yeah it's like we've been like trading like I felt sick last week couldn't do the Survivor podcast now you're feeling sick but you know you're still showing up though so that puts me to shame that you're here feeling horrible directly after Su directly after I had bail for episode during the recording my I get a leg infection called celulitis and could feel it setting in my leg was like Pain by the end of the podcast I don't know if anyone noticed while it was live I was starting to like shiver a little bit so it was really weird timing but we got through and it was a fun time but yeah oh yeah the things we do for everybody to come live and we've got a couple people here already lovable Nikki we've got blood Money 47 Erica is in the live you know there's only a few people obviously that would be awake at this time of the morning especially over in the US it's early over there for those that are watching it later on like I said in the beginning here schedules changed a little bit I can't make the Saturday morning recording on my so we just went live at the stage and we're going to have a lot of fun with the people who are

2:40 Here if they want to take part in the conversation we thought instead of just doing a recording between the two of us let's just go live see who is actually available who wants to jump on and have a chat and go from there because this was a very I don't know if I should say entertaining episode because I don't feel like entertaining like for some people they may have found some entertaining on it's very cringeworthy at certain points of this episode it was actually for me some of it was a bit hard to watch yeah like it literally I felt I was annoyed and I actually felt angry at times not just at what was actually happening in the show but to be honest with you more at the like the edit like I really felt like I'm missing something in this whole show like the way that things escalated the way that people were emotional if can cover that like from the GetGo the way people treating car like I was like I don't understand what how has like is this reaction appropriate and I feel like there's more to this that we're not seeing in the edit there has to be because it was just so jarring to what they were showing us to the reaction that it was getting you know what I mean I just feel like some people had very jaded realities and they were living their truth but not necessarily the truth you know when

4:00 You look at someone like cam saying that K Maria was spreading lies about Leroy and her in the house like if she if she was doing it we would have seen it surely it would have been on camera there's no way the editors would have left that out I don't feel like they would protect karia has not been a main stay of the franchise for a very long time so they would have shown the receipts if that was the case I feel like had feeling they were I was like she must be doing something cuz the way she's talking to him is completely normal completely Justified and then the reaction is like how dare you kind of you know what I mean like how dare you block me how dare you block me in the game from getting my star and that's the extent of what we've seen this season we've seen K Maria defend her star which is the name of the game and by the way like as someone that was low on the star twist to begin with in this season I have to eat humble pinees say the star twist is definitely paying off dividends in big ways because you know everybody is there's so much drama around keeping the star you know that it has actually delivered where the skull twist in the past even more so than like it makes each week so much more Monumental like

5:21 In the in the normal format like there's no normal format for the challenge but the nor of like you win you get power to vote someone out and that's kind of it like as long as you're still around you can dictate who leaves but this one you get to choose who gets a star or take a star or whatever it is like it does add a lot more and they seem to have kind of done the balance right like we know that it felt really off in the previous Seasons like they didn't get it correct like there was too many stars in the end and all that so far sticking to what they've done it seems to be working for me anyway yeah we've got a few people jumping in a bit later on here as well as we started the live Danica saying what okay I'll be here but I won't be typing and then we've got ly is very confused saying 5: a.m. live show mind blown in the US anyways yes it is 8:00 p.m.

7:34 T but it's also what I enjoy about her I enjoy the realness of her I think maybe when you say she lacks tact I think there's probably more in the delivery than the message itself and like you as a as a you know lower middle manager and a manager yourself you we know like it's not necessarily what you're saying it's how you deliver it and Cara must be missing something along the way because her message is not coming across in fact it's doing the opposite and burying her even deeper when she's got what should be a completely normal approach as far as protecting your own star and stuff but she has got everyone in the house not just against her because she's the best but like hating her and I feel like she has to be saying some stuff that is like she's the show because what they're showing us is not is not it man like it's crazy yeah she's being blunt like I think and people don't like it like if you think about the challenge do shitty to make Laurel like lose her mind like You' got a wrong take about Laurel I'll tell you now why you've got the wrong take about Laurel is losing her mind because of Nicole not because of obviously I know that but I feel like when

10:14 But she's clearly not learning a lesson if she just wants to keep have it keep happening to her like I do think she's maybe done some stuff to almost be Her Own Worst Enemy and that's that has been the case in the past I'm wondering what she's how bad it must be like for Flo Flora to be like she's a child she's a baby to have grown women screaming to have someone say you know I'm gonna punch you in the face like it's man like it's crazy yeah but it's because feelings it's because of feelings getting involved and karia calling Nicole out for what she should be calling her out for like I said she I hope karia if what you want her to do is lay back and accept the beer that she's seeing in the house then I hope she learns nothing then I hope she stays exactly the way she is because she is the sanity that the season needs right now to call people out and I think the way that this season is actually G to like it has aged we know what's happened between and we're going to talk about the whole Nicole Laurel thing because we can't ignore it I think karia comes out of this thing looking pretty like I was actually thinking about it tonight as I was driving home because I knew yeah I was thinking about this as I was driving home because I knew we were going to do the recording and I almost wonder if this is the point for K Maria to you know she lived long enough she was the hero and

11:34 Then she lived long enough to become the villain on the main show people started turning against her and fans are fickle they will be with her this season next season in season 40 if she goes up against somebody that they love they would turn back on karia within an instant I almost feel like if the this is the perfect opportunity this was the Redemption Arc for karia after so many seasons being away people at one point not liking her there was only a few people that remained loyal to car Mar and said you know she is good TV and we understand why she had her moments on the main show and why she became bitter to a certain degree I'm almost wondering if this is how good it's as good as it's going to get for Kar and if it's almost you know you almost walk away after a season like this because I feel like even if she doesn't win she's gonna win this season just in perception itself when it comes to the fans she's absolutely owning the show like the whole thing is like the car like we saw last week it was the a places show or whatever it's the Cara show really because she's even introducing those shows within the show you know what I mean she's narrating the season like this is the car season and if she doesn't win it's gonna like she's a champion either way she's coming out looking good after just getting a Beatdown from everyone and it's so like over the top it makes them look bad it makes all of the rest of the cast

12:54 Look so bad right now in my mind that's why I have to wonder I'm like how are they like I don't understand I'm not getting because car's looking like she's cooking dinner when Nicole's going at her and she's like look I'm just saying if you two want to be with great but like she comes to me and then she C like cries to me like I'm like she sounds completely normal like I don't understand like Laurel's going I don't like the way she talks to you I don't like she it's gaslighting the extr yeah but lot but I think again this is just showing like Laurel's got a complex and we've spoken about this complex personality she's never in my mind valued that friendship between herself and car Maria and this is again showing the reason why way back when we had the debate about who do you like more between Laurel and Cara myself angel cake and Chantel I always chose Cara like I've always said I don't like Laura I don't like how she treated karia back in the day I still feel like she's karia is good enough for her to go and have a shoulder to cry on or confess but then as soon as car is like okay I want to do something about this because I don't enjoy seeing Laurel who's supposed to be this strong woman being treated this way I'm going to speak up Laurel doesn't understand that Kar is trying to be a good friend for her here in this moment and hopefully she accepts it now

14:14 After things have blown being good friend she was actually being a good friend like it was it's crazy after all the crap they've been through how Australia for her to actually be that friend yeah like she definitely was I think she was kind of putting like but yeah I mean I don't know people are crazy and Laurel said like I don't need Solutions I just need you to listen yeah and yeah everyone's heard that before at least once I think I feel like she wants karia to give her that emotional support that Nicole doesn't give her so she wants the relationship with Nicole but the emotional support from K Maria and that's not fair on K Maria either and karia doesn't like you know yeah and K Maria as well has been in her fair share I would assume of abusive if not at least dysfunctional relationships Abraham like Kyle like she knows what that's like and she sees it like in Nicole we're going to Nicole and Laurel like she knows exactly what's happening because she's been there herself on national TV it was her formative years to go through that pressure you know pressure cooker and she's trying to help someone like you know through her own wounds and her own

16:55 Like a you know a UFC heavyweight bout at the moment between or I should say challenge heavyweight bout between them yeah absolutely like we were thinking that you know imagine these two together imagine these two against each other should have been what we were saying preseason like we didn't think that it would be like we get that heavyweight bout that you're talking about you know it's Rocky it's Apollo Creed and I am loving it like Cara has been incredibly successful in the politics Side by always getting that middle group cam having to carry Leroy a lot of the way of the season and both taking shots at each other neither successful so far like it has been pretty great in that regard yeah let's see what else people are saying Lizzie is saying here that she just said on the official that Cara was making a strong girl Alliance of Rachel Laurel Nicole and excluded her this is a brand new allegation I don't buy at all I feel like cam has been reading things wrong the season so it's hard this is Cam's perception probably because you know she didn't want to go against Rachel at that stage and to a certain degree you know it's possible it's I mean I wouldn't put a pass car that she's like hey let's look after each other we're the most likely people to get a star but it's strange that she was willing to form that alliance with three Girls when there can only be three stars

18:15 Like that seems like somebody was always going to miss out so would love to hear more about this and in some ways I do think cam is also doing damage control most likely at this stage because there is a lot of fans that are going after her which I don't condone I don't necessarily agree with her strategy this season but you know I just think that cyber bullying for a reality TV game show it's like come on guys like you know this is this is TV it's for our entertainment we don't need to be chasing people in people in their personal lives and you know she's a grown ass woman she's got a family and stuff like that leave her alone the season the season will play out the way it's going to play out in the end of the season I mean she took K Maria star and I'm one of the biggest karia stands and for me it's part of the game Kahuna I mean was an amazing moment though like we I wanted that to happen for a long time not because against K Maria I'm rooting for K Maria but that is the move to make you know what I mean that's the correct strategy to do like you can't run against Kara Maria at the end and like Kia knows that but everyone should know that except I just hate that it came in such a bitter kind of way you know what I mean like I wanted K cam to come at car I want car to go cam I don't need all the other junk that's there I need it to be you know whether the animosity is there or not it's because of the

19:35 Game right exactly like I want to see the strategy speaking of strategy by the way we saw Cara teaching Laurel how to play chess like yeah I was gonna I was gonna wait to bring it up but yeah that was a cool moment what do you think car's ELO is I don't know but let me tell you why I think it was such a good moment right because funny enough we spoke about chess and playing chess and me trying to get back into it and struggling horribly to get past the Thousand ELO again like but I will get there everyone I will get back to former glory you know we saw Journey yeah I just I just yeah live stream my journey back to thousand ELO bore everybody to death but yeah I thought I thought it was very interesting to see how K Maria was walking around and she's clearly going through some crap people have turned on her Laurel dogged her the strategy side of it but yet this also showed a part of Laurel that I want to acknowledge like Laurel could very easily have been like I'm just going to leave K Maria they've got a complex friendship because there is love for K Maria within Laurel because she saw Laur she saw karia struggling she saw that she's like no one wants to talk to me and karia is like you know I'm just going to maybe play this and she's like you know teach me and she's like she didn't have to do that so I do want to

20:55 Give credit words du even though she's treated carar like crap a lot this episode you can see there is a part of her that does want karia to be okay as well it's a very complex friendship yeah did you get that I always yeah I did and there's almost like the fighting sisters the Frenemies kind of thing like it's born out of years of working together and being close but at the same time having to compete with each other at the highest levels and these are both people that where like not this episode certainly Cara kept it in check pretty good but these are two people that have not great at controlling their emotions and then maybe it's that fiery attitude that fiery spirit that you know propels them to the heights of their sport or their show like really these are the two best females in my opinion in the game and they're also friends and they're also enemies and they're also people that just get really they do everything at 11 whether it's love whether it's hate whether it's compete it's the challenge they do everything to the Max and sometimes those big feelings come out in different ways and usually not usually but sometimes unfortunately at each other and it makes s some you know huge fireworks this time directed mainly at car from Laurel
