2:54 I'm a fan I'm a fan oh you're saying I'm safe because I've not been the biggest fan from the start you're just a huge gabler fan that just might scare her off but gaer is now convinced me to get on board because he's a big supporter of hers did you see all the t-shirts he's wearing flipping I'm loving it man playing the reverse Uno on hers like you don't like me but I like you're now my biggest you're my you're my favorite player from this season I love that type of attitude but we also have Richard here saying hello everyone awesome episode Caleb dies not does dies not count dies not count does I think he just said does all right is the is it the die that he had to select you know to get the I was I was overthinking it but anyways let's get into the beginning of this episode we start off from Bellow there a little bit of a Fallout it's the whole Kindra saying hey you know I'm cool with you Emily and them saying we're cool with you but both sides no they're not cool with each other just a little fun bit there in the beginning the biggest one for me probably in this opening scene was more so about Bruce you know like f they all go out they go look for the idol they haven't seen an idol yet Caleb says he wants all of them to go together so he knows where the idol is this is going to be this is going to pay off for him a little bit later on and may still help him further in the game even though he's a targeted man he's got information at this stage because

4:14 He can see who's going to get the idol Bruce gets the beare advantage doesn't care about it but there is like this real time crunch Jake in regards to Bruce having to find the idol versus going to the beach on the rebba tribe for all of them to get together yeah I might have I mean I think that's what it said on the other parchments but I guess I might have missed where he read that he had to find it or else he just would have lost because I think it said something like if you once all the players on the same Beach then you just don't get the idol but your voters restored so I don't know but maybe he was just like I just gota maybe different you know why I think it may be different because this one was an automatic Idol until the final five so clearly the risk had to be because of that difference in power it being a full Idol immediately maybe the rule was you lose your vote if you don't get it but it would have been pretty stink for him if that happened and he had to find a way at night time to get back to the beach you know where he found the for the I wonder I wonder if they would have I wonder if he like could have asked for can you guys like vote me over there again so I can have another go at it yeah I don't want to lose my vote until the end

5:34 Of the game and just be like you know Canon being out there so yeah it was I don't know it wasn't fully explained right Kona yeah it seemed like there was no second stage as well it was just if you find this it's straight up a full-on idol which feel like a little bit overpowered so maybe that time crunch had to be part of the challenge because it was like they making them do a lot more for Idols these days than just go dig in a hole like dig under the camp so that time crunch must have been built into the into the process because I was like looking at it going okay that edit is a little bit suspicious in that he finds it literally like two seconds before the boat rocks up conveniently like you know and he's like all right everybody let's go Uncle Brucey says let's dance over there when he just found like was it really just like 30 seconds before was it a few hours where he's hiding that Idol I don't know but I guess that was the Challenge or the beware because it was a beware I was like what's beware about this like he dug it found it immediately he's now got a fully powered Idol with nothing to worry about so said last week about production team just tried to like add something additional into the game they're like we're kind of low on

6:54 Idols right now we need another Idol in the game so let's just throw it out there we'll make it a little bit more powerful obviously found the original idol I think on that beach so they just planted it back in there to create a little bit of chaos eron here says or Bruce was told by production that the sacrifice vote part didn't count I'm not sure what you mean by that eron but yeah I think it was there was there had to be some sort of stakes involved because he got a fully powered Idol right off the start but they do go to the reeba beach that's the one that they decide Jah really excited she's have been a side character for most of the season so when she started getting more and more content coming her way since the previous episode I started worrying a little bit for her and Jake if we had to look back at where did it go wrong for Jah she should not have told seu she voted for him when she didn't like that was like the most boneheaded move right because seu had this really big grudge coming into the merch or the fake merch at the stage in the game yeah I mean the second she thought of that like she probably thought like this is going to like you know prove trust to My Tribe mates like hey I'm willing to put myself out there to like kind of neutralize sefue and his and his like anger of like trying to figure out who this was but I knew from the second she said it that Julie and D were just GNA be

9:34 A bonus because now when they try and explain the idols it doesn't take up 50% of the episode you know it only takes up maybe like 30% of the episodes we so we still get to see aot it's a massive Improvement like this whole season for me feels like old school survivor and I know it's not because we're getting to see the interactions we're getting to see people get annoyed with Bruce immediately wanting to take charge doing things at Camp you see the moment with all of them arriving together on day 12 and you've got the grasshopper doing a Crump beat you know and everybody is loving it getting into it with it while Drew and Austin is annoyed on the sidelines trying to strategize like these are the things we don't see on a normal 40-minute episode and it just it Paints the picture it creates characters wouldn't you agree Jake like you feel like I feel like I know these people at the moment way more than any of the other seasons for sure I mean at this point in every single not even New Era like going back to like probably 35 season 35 there's always like one usually even two people where I was like I know nothing about you yeah nothing about you and I don't feel that way at all this season I know who people are loyal to their personalities you know kind of have a gauge at like you know how good of a player they are and yeah always coming out of the

10:54 Episodes thinking back at what happened it's like obviously the vote is always fresh in the mind especially after this episode but I'm also just thinking like holy crap so much happened in that episode yeah every week it just feels like so much is happening which is good there's constantly which I'm I've already missed something which I'm going to bring up very soon but you know Erin here says Chris the idol rule at Austin abided by to extend her the life of his Idol yeah I think it wasn't applicable for Bruce's Idol I don't think I just think he got a straight up idol until the end so that's kind of what Kahuna said when he said what was the beware part of the ID it doesn't feel like there was aware part on that ID I was going to say that maybe it was like since it was literally right in the middle of the camp that's like got to be careful to not have anyone see you but also that was that kind of was also happening with the other Idols too so for sure it's also like when you have four out of five people in your alliance the only danger was coutura so as long as I distract the Couture away with the awesome oh man my rings I've lost my rings like what am I going to do my grandma's ring like yeah my heart oh no gab says jiah should have thrown a vote on someone else for contingency plan totally agree on that just that

13:35 Survival with my mom she tries to get me to fast forward all the talking I'm like no this is what I've been craving for totally agree with you on that and this is the fun part of the show for me as well like seeing the interactions seeing how different people reacted to being on the beach you know all of them on the same Beach you've got some of them relaxing getting to know each other we've got the grasshopper scene you know with people enjoying and laughing and Drew and Austin trying to go to the side trying to strategize you've got Caleb moving around you know again showing that great social game that he's got working with everybody or is it a great game because he doesn't like we've said it from the start like he's really good at building relationships he's clear he's the kind of guy that if you met him outside of the game you would want to be best mates with him and he probably would be best mates with everyone but inside of the game Jake like that is so threatening that is so dangerous to see someone that can just find commonality with everyone like he literally could bul rapport with a rock out there and The Rock would want to be his best friend you know what I mean I'm not talking about the Dwayne you know I'm talking about a rock on the beach you know he'd be able he'd be able to charm the rock the Dwayne The Rock Johnson too what you cooking that was like my one concern when we did the draft like he got picked before my first selection and I

14:55 Would have picked him still anyways but like it would have been my one my one concern about him was people are going to see this guy and know immediately he's too likable he's too sociable he's a threat and look what happened he already had to be saved by Emily telling him at the last second you know at tribal like number three it's like people are saaya was already that threatened by him when he was loyal to her and it's happening again he was a loyal number to Bruce and Bellow and him just talking to other people was too much it's too much he can't talk to other people Chris too much I do think I do think Bruce was on to him though I do I do think like you say a loyal number I say he was buling Bridges to take Bruce out at some stage so Bruce was just thinking ahead like take out Bruce you think not maybe not even in that realm but there was enough evidence I think with in the episodes that we've seen that Caleb didn't like Bruce's leadership style like he wanted to work with Kelly didn't necessarily want to work with Bruce and I think there's evidence out there that I think that Bruce's re in regards to Caleb going around making all of these different alliances trying to play the swing was the correct read to take him out so I don't blame Bruce all for going after him I agree but also like you

16:15 Know if you're Caleb you got to think like really I don't blame I don't blame him for playing the game I don't blame him for playing the game at all and I'm not saying that Bruce is you know sitting him down being the cop that caught you speeding you know and having that approach where he's like oh man I felt like he was going to write the ticket out there you know I don't know if that's the right don't you agree though that's a bit of a an unrealistic expectation for an alliance member like to just you can't talk to people you know listen I get it if you want to be Boston Rob Redemption Island like not want people to talk to each other that's the way to go if you can pull it off I agree have the swag but listen I think what I'm trying to say is that his read was correct but his approach to it was incorrect like so he should have maybe just more subtle yeah he needed to be a little bit more subtle about it maybe talk to his alliance members but one of the things that we very quickly see with Bruce on the beach when they all get together is that paranoia clearly was taking over for him because he just got an idol he knows Caleb knows he's got an idol Caleb's walking around talking to a lot of people he's not feeling that secure with Katara who's in his own Alliance and you could just tell like he was frazzled like he was even telling everybody like no one's talking to me like even his own alliance members like I'm not

17:35 Hearing from anyone you know and it just felt like he was at a different stage Kuna in the game that he hasn't reached before and suddenly he's thinking you know he's a Leb going in there like clearly he's played the game before he's a big threat and that is now carrying into the merge because he's got that experience you know and they're going to want to try and take him out because of his previous game experience yeah I mean the dancing's not working anymore we're at the yeah like did you guys see sorry actually go ahead I'll say it after I was just going to say maybe the stick insect you know took a bit of his Vibe and like the fun Uncle Bruce like the stick insect are he's like oh man the stick insect's got every like it got more screen time than some players this season like and definitely players in previous seasons and Bruce is like ah serious now stick insects got my dancing Uncle Fun Uncle Vibe I got to come up with paranoia apparently is my new my new gear we're in a new stage of the game I'm going to flick over of paranoia I don't know like I appreciate that there's obviously thought and that he wants to play the game and he's seeing and you're right it's absolutely the right call I don't know how anyone doesn't see that Caleb is just slick and smooth as like it maybe it's the Australian in me that kind of sees through that sort of thing or you know like

18:55 We're all seeing it though that's what the edit is showing us but Australians are a little bit more dubious of slick Prof yeah we don't trust sales people I know that because I'm in the sales industry and I always have to work double as hard you know on the to trust me every time say something I'm like is he selling to me right now yeah no I get I get I get your read on it Scott here says Caleb's early work with Emily truly paid off for him this episode she told him to play his shot in the dark totally agree if Caleb wins this season his defining move was saving Emily early in the game because she has paid back that loyalty with some dividends like she's got like I don't know what it is Jake but like the amount of like trust that she has with Cal she's willing to risk her own position in the game to share that information because I find it strange that no one questioned where Caleb got the information that he was being sort of targeted no one questioned it but it may come out in the next episode right she actually risked a little bit of her own position in the game to save him very good point but you know it also I think this whole you know situation with Emily and Caleb reminds me that you know I feel like we say this a lot but you know this is this is not just a Str strategic game this is a

20:15 Social game people have emotions you know Emily's problem was that she didn't see that people had emotions Caleb's strength was he saw Emily had emotions and saw how much it hurt her that she just wasn't clicking in the game and he just extended a small little Olive Branch and she you know it's like putting down A1 $1 investment she's paid him back with like a hundred bucks already she's like I'll just keep I'll just keep handing you cash it's like putting money back down on Tesla when it first came out on bitcoin basically and seeing it yeah it's free money Caleb's printing money he's printing money at the moment but I kind of feel like a bigger part of the episode they missed the opportunity the original Bellow Tri missed the opportunity to do exactly what Caleb did in those early stages for Emily they could have reversed this and actually gave they could have G given jeriah a heads up like isn't it more worthwhile to talk to jeriah and say hey your people are coming for you they're targeting you this is the information they've shared with us so I can prove we're not lying because they were pretty open about jiah having voted for seu so as soon as they told her like listen they told us you voted for seu they're coming for you know she would have been like do they know that like how did that information get out there may be some truth to this and she has no one in the game so she would have been a loyal number to Bellow

21:35 Moving forward in the game they could have probably taken it from that point and then gone after the bigger threat within the original rebba which is the core four so I feel like bad gameplay like I had a lot of Hope for people in Bellow and specifically for Kelly I feel like she's someone that I up until this point thought could win the game and clearly based on the edit that we've seen on Survivor in the past she could still win the game but I feel like a great opportunity has been missed here what do you think about that Jake I think that you I agree I think they might have gotten too caught up on like oh we could have a unanimous vote on our hands you know I think they were playing it a bit too safe you know just I think they were just scared by reeba has all six members still and they were scared they didn't even it's not like they even thought that there could be there could be cracks and once they yeah once they heard about one of the cracks it's like they just took that and said let's just go with that they didn't like okay let's try to wedge that further yeah let's let the majority group within Reba decide who in their Alliance should vot out which doesn't sound like a good plan to me you know like I feel like if Caleb was in that position of power he probably would have pulled jiah

28:16 Bellow Emily should have been one of the Bellow but she targeted Emily she probably would have Emily yeah it's just amazing to me how they don't think like that because we've seen again I hate comparing the shows I hate comparing the shows but you know Jake Australian Survivor yeah there would have been a rogue Vote or two in there like just it feels like people on Survivor us I don't know what it is about the current format or the players that they're casting like people are just willing to go with the with the herd when it comes to doing things they already did it in a much more difficult environment to get busted with seu who voted sefue de voted sefue so she's already done it before and sefue still they think it's jmah like That's How Strong this core 4 is in that in their position that was like wasn't me they shagged it and he's like okay well it must have been Jah then so like they could have done it again they could have just thrown another Rogue vote out there this episode and go it was J's crazy man like Jah keeps doing these weird votes I don't know what she's doing yeah I think there's a lot of a lot of new school fans on the show that haven't necessarily watch like old school survivor or even of any of like I feel like we should get International Survivor a little bit in front of some of these players as well before they go there especially

29:36 From a tribal council perspective this was a fun Tribal Council this episode but it's been a minute since I've seen a fun tribal coun like this one because Caleb was not holding back he was taking shots saying listen I know I'm the target I know I'm a threat you know J really holding him to it look at this he's calling himself a threat he's building his own CV in front of us he's like yeah so she was also firing back and then you know threats being called out with the three women in Reba D taking massive offense to it like I feel like d is that one person in the game that you do not want to off that's how badly she didn't want to be in an alliance with jmah like the suggestion of it she's like what do you mean it's us three women she is not dare you how dare you insinuate that I would be in Alliance with her but any attention Survivor is bad right so she's like okay well my name's getting she wanted she wanted to shut it down right away I don't want people looking at me Caleb's approach though what you were saying earlier Jake about how they look at jmah and she's so harmless and inoffensive and really has not done much or will do anything in the game and Caleb's like she's the one that they've that's the crack that's where I need to go and I'm looking at her going what

30:56 Do I say is a threat here like in comp so he's like I don't know she's part of a trio she amulet she wanted the amulet at the summit or whatever I mean it's enough for Austin for sure yeah oh my gosh says jerah has admitted that she made a mistake by forcing The Amulet instead of a sandwich and to me it was crazy because even in that part where Bruce comes back to the beach and he has a conversation with Drew and he's like listen we need to go for Caleb is clearly the Bigg threat here's the valid reasons for why we should do it drew being the more logical player in that side is like yeah that makes sense let's squash the talk about voting out Jah I mean she is kind of a number for us let's go after Caleb he's not really attached to us I've never played the game with him makes perfect sense goes back there pitches it but then again se's annoyed that J voted for him so very emotional about it and then Austin very emotional about not getting that sandwich you know like yeah I hear you great argument Drew yeah definitely we should get rid of the threat but they stole my sandwich I really want to get them out it's not it's not looking good like the reasons like for voting people out I'm like what are we doing here like what you know but this is fun to watch but it's not good strategy we're seeing actually you know because I feel like in the past couple Seasons we've been like yeah they took away their food they G they
