6:44 Rotten Christ is good bro right in Christ is that goes hard yes feel free to how this the spelled on this is my personal Instagram so feel free to message me about black metal there if you'd like until Traders onto Traders all right so let's start things off on episode five you know it was quite it was coming off such a massive episode where Brody you know was able to just absolutely derail Matt and get him banished out and there's a lot of talks on his Brody potentially exposed herself too much which there was definitely the case where Brody unfortunately well since we don't want to get demonetized again Hamish we're going to come with the new phrase the m word we're going to say she was eliminated she was eliminated or she went she went to the farm shown to the farm out Farm she went to the countryside she went to the phone yeah she got on a tractor with Paul Henry which we'll talk about talk about later but yeah but what's your thoughts on Brody you know she was a massive character in these first couple of weeks what's your overall I think that Brody it was a

8:04 Very passionate player and you know when she was hooked on something she was so like she was so immersed in that and so like when she was driving these forces against Matt and to be fair like you kind of just see her as this big bazooka and then and then Anna is her like little sidekick and then I think you see after Brody is eliminated you see that in fact Anna was also quite the Bazooka so those two were very alike but yeah I think that if she was kept in the game longer she would have been a really like notable player I think this is the kind of vibe I get from her and you might disagree but she reminds me in some ways of AK from season two of Australian Survivor in that she was a very big and like impactful player that did a lot but she went out quite early yeah you know that's if it's spot on with the AK reference for season two where yeah she was a massive impactful player with a lot of influence unoshi I would say that she didn't have everyone wrapped around her finger but she definitely did have the game in her hands for a lot of the banishments and she even say no does she always

9:24 Get it right in terms of the Traders she was sending home but also she had the right reads on you know even where Paul and to Robbie or even more power onto Vander but she always stack up for them which you know yeah she knew who the Traders were not as well as who they were and so she was very yeah it was very good yeah no absolutely great I was I was a little bit bummed to see Brody go but also at the same time it was the right move for Dan and Brooke you know they both even say that if Brody says one of our names tomorrow morning we are done so yeah this is my nullified Tech I'm happy Brody's gone because I want Dan to be the one winning the money at the end I'm still team Dan all the way and she was too risky for my boy so I'm like Brody's got this see you later bro well to be fair there was a part of me that was a bit happy because she took away my boy Matt so I definitely understand how you're feeling yeah but anyways let's move along with the episode where at the sort of in like the morning you know before the mission everyone's having a chat and Dylan is very suspectful of Philly and Julia and this main argument for Philly was

10:45 Because of how hard he was going against Robbie in the previous in the previous round what's your what's your thoughts on Philly and Dylan at this point I think that Philly is somebody who in general is quite like a nice person I think that hmm I think that he just dug himself a few holes over the like this week these two episodes I think that he did a few things which took him from being this person which was really kind and people were like yeah like Philly's just like this like stand-up guy you know and he kind of slowly started to paint himself like a Treader yeah I guess the longer that you're in that kind of game like you know maybe it's like your true colors show or maybe it's because you're kind of you're you get frustrated or impatient with the game or I don't know but yeah I think that some of the pro oh I think the pressure got to Affiliates what I'll say yeah absolutely and but Don juicy his name gets thrown around your boy Dan his name starts to get thrown around a lot as well as someone who not who was originally a Trader but some who could have been seduced as a Trader which I really found the smartphy brook where you know Brooke was in the car with everyone who was thinking

12:05 That Dan could be a Trader but he agrees with them and says yeah I feel like Dan would make a really good Trader because his quietest in the back however you've got all these other people as well kind of some category as Dan like you put out you know like Sam's name like Dylan's name sorry for the study everyone Sans name Dylan's name and even Philly's name as well as someone who could have been seduced by a trailer to someone who's nice and quiet in the background and could have been seduced as a Trader but some what's your thoughts on Brook's strategy there Hamish I guess the thing is like Brooke and he did the same thing with Matt right when Brody was gunning from Matt where he was like yeah like that makes sense to me because he doesn't want to look like he's standing up for this guy that is a traitor because if that person does end up getting outed and Matt dead then it's like does Brooklyn look like a Trader so he has to look like he's in on the plan but he's it's not that he's saying no I don't think he should do that he's just saying that's a good idea but like who else could we vote for just in case and so he's like keeping their options open when in fact he's just trying to divert them from who the trader actually is yeah because something about Brooke and I feel like this carries out throughout this episode is that Brooke

13:25 Is always in the middle of everything and he always has been since day one you know from the very first day he was in the middle of not really like the center of the drama but he was always a big talking point in the drama so he's always been the one to sort of you know round people up he's always been the type person to just really get involved with everything in speaker's mind and I feel like difficult the drama that happened after the mission which we'll get to in a second it wasn't as suspicious for him simply because there was just his normal character throughout the whole way through yeah he was he was quite outspoken and he's and in a way that no one really suspected him as a traitor when he wasn't a Trader you know what I mean and so yeah he's I think for the first morning of him being a traitor after he was seduced he was kind of like overthinking it but I think that he's kind of just he's in his rhythm now you know he's I think Brooke's doing pretty well I think it must be quite helpful as well having one of his close friends Dan be a traitor as well so that way you know like they can obviously say things to each other because if you're the strangers you can't say certain things to each other because you don't know the other person and their strengths and weaknesses that well but since Brooke and Dan have known each other a long time they've obviously played poker

14:45 Together they know each other's strengths and weaknesses so they're able to make comments on oh I think you should do this one that more to really another thing as well as that is like when they're in front of people they can act really met you and I guess after this amount of time with everyone they would be acting maybe anyway but you know it's if they're acting close and really like that like they're tight knit it doesn't look so suspicious because like of course they would be their mates anyway it doesn't look like oh like are those Bros like talking about like strategy right now you know yeah exactly all right but this is probably one of my personal favorite missions of the Season actually Hamish where Paul Henry gets everyone to carry large buckets of wine that each is you know got like a different which is each bucket's got a certain amount of money on it so some was like a hundred dollars 350 dollars some was 750 you know large amounts of money for just a bucket of wine and they have to carry it up through a track but of any of the wine spills off and the wine goes below the white line the buck is disregarded and they won't get there for money right but the thing is they can only do it in pairs so

16:06 You can either carry the bucket by yourself or you know carrot and peer so you can't like you know have three or four people helping out like it right yeah but this is where Sam comes up with a plan where he wants everyone to bring all the buckets just before it finish line and then because there's a slight twist to this Mission as well where the first three buckets that gets carried over the carriers of those buckets will be sent to the armory so if it's you know two people per bucket like all six of them will go if it's you know like only two people doing it you know one two three then only those two people would go and obviously in the case that we saw if someone goes over twice they counted it then they removed that opportunity from somebody else no that other person wouldn't give the opportunity yeah and absolutely and while they're doing this challenge Brooke gets them alone time with Dan and he's trying to tell Dan how he needs to change up his strategy a bit because everyone's starting to get bit suspicious of them but right but kind of you know right before Anna and fully crossed the line NSA Philly I want to cross which Brooklyn Dance right behind them and Brooke is encouraging them to cross so Anna and Philly they cross the line Brooklyn Dan Cross but once they start coming back everyone's

17:26 Realized was I think I think it was common I think Colin actually picks up hang on it's over it across the line Russian Philly text Collins bucket and he walks Colin over the line which Colin he's pretty pissed about it and then Sam and everyone else starts to arrive and it just becomes this massive heated argument Hamish was your what's your thoughts okay as for Brick and Dan saying to the others like here you should cross the line I'm wondering if it's because they knew they were going to do it because having broken down in the armories Obviously good for the Traders the you know them being the only two Traders at that point and so I think that by encouraging others they don't look like they're the only ones who did it and then it's like you two obviously Traders it's more like a group and it's more like oh this is a bunch of people that just gave in to like you know the natural greetish greedy Instinct of people you know as for as for Sam's reaction yeah I understand the frustration I think that yelling and swearing at people is just not ever called for I would have handled it very differently he seems like a very nice guy in a general sense Sam does but yeah I don't know I was

18:46 I was kind of watching it and it felt I kind of cringed a little inside just watching him swearing at people I was just like yeah like I just I don't like conflict man yeah now I found it to be quite interesting because yeah it's sort of two different groups here right so how I sort of looked at it was you have your very passive players and you're very sort of aggressive players now when I mean by aggressive not like you know hardcore though they'll betray anyone or anything like that but just people who are just like not mean each other yeah they'll beat each other up right that though it take they'll take each other to the farm right so but sort of more do more like out there strategic players right and so you're fully he's starting to really immerse as like a big strategic character you've got Anna she's been pretty strategic you've got Brook and Dan as well and it's sort of them for against everyone else and I why would they think in the more passive group with your Sams your demons your justines your Julius there are like you know game players within that group like Justine she's very intelligent Dylan he's been quite strategic and he's quite intuitive as well

20:07 Colin you know he's a great character and a great player as well so there definitely are players within that group but I feel like they're more less out there in terms of actually like bringing a lot of the strategy for so it's interesting I wonder how much of that is like not that they didn't do anything but because they're kind of they don't want to be seen as a threat to the Traders so they're trying to very subtly do it so it looks like Anna is the big one or it looks like Philly is the big one but really it's like kings is like they're kind of whispering in his ear or you know what I mean like I reckon we should vote on this but or you know and so I think you know people like Colin and I think people like Justine are probably good examples of that where I think that Colin and Justina you know they're definitely very social players you know in particular Colin and so well at least from what we see in the edit but yeah I mean he's definitely relatively outspoken but I don't think he's outspoken in the way that like Anna is all like you know Brody or something like that yeah but just as we move on we've got a couple of comments here from Andre fully filled up too much it went bye yeah pretty much you know he got quite confident in the game tried to swing hard but unfortunately and just backfired on him he had he

21:27 Had too much of in the bucket had to go home yeah pretty much and Andre here with a question would you have crossed the line of others had already crossed the line I'll let you start Hamish what would you what would you have done if this weren't NZ Traders if this was just like a competition for I don't like money you know or I don't know just like a competition in a general sense no I wouldn't have I think that you know what's important in life is to do what you believe is the right thing and I think that if you've you know my opinion of what the right thing is you know if you've made a an arrangement and set a standard at the beginning like you should follow through with that I think in the context of this game when you've seen other people are doing it so you know that they'll be covering your back because you're not the only one doing it you don't look like the selfish one bro you're there to win so yeah I can't really say I think I probably would have had like a five second like internal debate about it but I think there's a good chance I would have crossed the line how about you oh you know me I would have crossed it you know since you cross it first yeah exactly I would be like not who

22:47 Cares about these people but something that Brooke mentioned which I actually heavily agreed with was if they brought all the buckets to the edge of the line and then had you know discussion about who you know deserves to go over I feel like the people who did deserve to go over they did go over because they're the ones carrying the heavier buckets the whole way through when Brooke and Dan were carrying the big 750s and stuff this was their plan to prioritize carrying the heaviest buckets so that they would be able to just walk over and there would be no debate about it might hit that makes sense because it's like if people are like oh why did you just walk over they can just be like bro we took all the 750s and then maybe there's still a bit of an argument but their back is kind of covered yeah halfway through that big argument Brooke mentioned something to that effect once but I feel like that they just didn't drive it hard enough and that was the idea was to be like guys like we took all the heavier stuff like I'm sorry like yeah you're right was my bad we should have had the discussion it was just in my head like we have done you know not to put anyone down but we've been taking the heaviest buckets so like we just crossed the line I didn't think anyone would have an issue with that my bad you know what I mean and then it looks more like I think some people would be like oh fine I get it you know whether or not they fully like it but yeah I don't know I

28:09 Paul Henry and getting sent sentiment against him but yeah but we yeah to join the ship yeah but it was quite surprising because after Philly gets the shield we get no strategy talk we go straight to the banishment what's your thoughts on this I'm just immediately going straight to the banishment it could very well be that there was just nothing interesting for them to edit in there I don't know to be honest I actually didn't think much about that maybe the they just wanted to get to the point maybe it just was better for like the keeping the tension you know what I mean because I guess the thing is like yeah there was so much tension in that big occument and I think they wanted to keep that because obviously in the in the banishing you know trial meeting thing it's very tense and so for them to go straight from that to that you don't get this wavy thing of tension it's just like stays so strong and then right at the end once Philly's like oh I'm an innocent then you can breathe you know what I mean yeah and then it's like I feel like that just makes it really like epic and suspenseful and you know it makes people really invested and perhaps

29:29 If they'd come down from that and showed people just chilling at the lodge before going to the before going to the banishment then maybe yeah it just you wouldn't have been as invested in the banishment or I just wouldn't have been as tense or I don't know the interesting point though yeah and we do see that in the banishment Brooke gets really frustrated because players like Justinian Kings they keep coming after him about the challenge but how like are so selfish of you and oh it was unfair it's not right it's not cool they keep doing it and I don't know about you but I was Loki you know Tim Brock on this where it's like just who cares and move on you know I agree and disagree he did that very strategically the way that he deflected that because when they were saying like they were selfish of you I'm pretty sure there were a good few of them who meant that as the reason that you did something selfish like that is because you're a traitor and you don't want faithfuls to have a shot at the shield which is correct that's the reason he did it right and there are a few people that were saying that and I think that was very implied and it was like you don't have to it

32:10 For going over twice saying how you know that is quite you know I try to move like what's your sort of reason behind there and Philly was just saying Hell that you know he's his head was in the challenge you know they just saw the challenges wanted to get it done gets me like it's over Brooke comes in and defends fully for doing that but that doesn't sit right with everyone though Hamish you know everyone goes hard at him for that but not just that Dylan also goes really hard at Philly for how hard he went against Robbie as well what was your sort of thoughts on especially Philly shot himself in the foot here because he said that he was in the challenge he didn't really understand the rules and stuff but I think he realized he was in the Poo you know what I mean there and so even though he was a faithful he realized that people thought he was a traitor and so he lied anyway to make himself look like a faithful and so he said that he didn't understand the challenge but it got broader up it got brought up later on and this is what cemented his downfall in that banishment that got brought up that he said to one of the other players I've crossed the line twice does that mean I get to go to the Armory twice yes yeah

34:51 And while the votes are coming up Julia actually realizes that Philly is innocent we get something interesting here where Dan votes for vendor and it's the only time oh no it's not the only time he doesn't vote for Matt but I feel like there's one a couple of times where Dan kind of goes Rogue on a vote where it's normally he's very on tour to can see where the tides are turning but yeah I feel like it was a bit of a strange call from Dan to put a vote on bander yeah I wasn't fully I didn't fully understand why he did that he did he did say before saying like oh like I guess this is my turn to not get the memo and you know I think he played it off well he was like this is my Integrity vote I'm not quite sure what it was I don't know if it's because he wrote it down because he didn't think Philly would actually get sent home and he wanted to look like he had Phillies back that could be it yeah I also think I've figured out what the internet problem is so I'm pretty sure I've fixed it now by the way but yeah I think that I
