2:40 Of the other Traders Seasons or Clips or anything like that nah bro I reckon I'm just going to get let down hey like I've seen the New Zealand Traders like the number one Traders you know and now I'm just looking at like you can you cannot beat it you know yeah I mean like for me the season of the Traders was a lot like Australian Survivor 2017 season two which for everyone else is my favorite season of Survivor of all time like globally as all the franchise what it spoils my thoughts and my thoughts are very important so my thoughts are the most important thing in the world famous but yeah you know something that both these seasons have in common is a 10 out of 10 cast where almost everyone is a giant hurt and as we kind of see in a lot of other Australian Survivor Seasons as well you have your stars but also your cabbages right people who just aren't as entertaining or they're just literally there they don't really bring anything and especially with the Australian Traders that's going on right now Australian Traders season two there are a lot of people who are just empty you know it's like if they were not there would the show it still be the same which

4:00 I personally think yeah like there's only seven people probably in the Australian traders who are actually playing and everyone else is just there but the New Zealand Traders everyone was playing you know all the way from your massive game changing sidekick Kimberly also too yes all the way to your like you know the winners of the show Anna and Sam I feel like everyone was playing super hard right from the get-go and yeah I love the season they were just good characters like even if they weren't you know playing it in a way that was as strategic as some of the more notable ones I was actually thinking about this earlier today I was like you know it's better to have a shorter season that's good than a longer season that drags up but like I don't think it would have dragged out if it had like two more episodes had the cast been bigger but then after having that thought I was like this cast is so good you know would it have taken away from it by adding more people who potentially you know would have just soaked up more screen time but not necessarily added to it so you know perhaps this is just the golden season yeah it's a golden god season of Traders but also another coming here from Andre also looking forward to the TNT's reviewing hot takes for the season debut with the Traders Canada

5:21 You know something that Canada and New Zealand have in common Hamish is it everyone's just too nice you know everyone's too friendly they're really not do you think you know because the reason why New Zealand Survivor got shut down is simply because you know no one was willing to Blindside each other right you know everyone was like too nice you know they're all sort of stick in one group and moving forward but obviously with the Traders here you know everyone was a big gameplay everyone was strategic everyone was flipping from side to side do you think the Canadians have what it takes to potentially produce a trailer season just as good as ours or even better or worse okay so because one of my co-workers at my day job is Canadian and on the very unlikely chance she watches this yeah go Canada oh I love Canada Nova Scotia that's all I have to say nice what about you I mean I think it can you know I know you haven't seen the recent episodes of American Survivor but there's been a lot of a lot of Canadians quite recently

6:42 They've been participating and almost every Canadian player I personally feel like has been the stars of the Season or has done extremely well like two of the winners have been Canadians so yeah I think I mean I'm not sure if the recent winner was Canadian or not so please don't quote me on that but yeah I feel like Canadians can be very strategic can be very Cutthroat so I'm looking forward to it I reckon it'll be pretty good we've got to come in here from TJ as well and then there was Colin and then there was Brooke and just like that all vanished what a good first season well we're definitely about to dive straight into there let's talk about the opening of this first episode of the week Hamish we arrived here at breakfast and you know there's a big question on who Brooklyn Colin we're gonna try you know sitting on the Paul Henry's tractor and take them out to the country calendars Farm it was either Anna or Julia but you know they didn't know who had the shield obviously we know it was Anna and they'd take a shot at Anna and they miss what is your what's your thoughts on oh that made out of gratitude I was like don't go from my boy like you know I was I was like full standing at beelining den and then when Robbie winged at him and Dan was removed from the game

8:02 I was just like I'm very upset and I had to switch my allegiance last minute and I was like who is the only other player who I was like kind of like and it was a actually no it came from last time we were on stream I was either going to be rooting for Brooke or Julia and then Andre was smack talking Julia and I was like nah bro I'm going to war so anyway I'm glad they went for Anna yeah now I'm glad that went for Anna as well because I feel like especially in this finale week Julie brought so much drama and so much entertainment as well because you know after we're going to talk about potentially what the smartest move of the week was but I have a feeling a couple of the moves could be coming from Julia's end I personally feel like so I'm really glad they took a try and Anna and missed also and it's just like and it's just like a really good player like I don't know like you know and I was thinking this actually before watching these most recent two episodes like I don't know how much time we've really spent like just commenting on Anna's player but I think that she's actually like one of the best players of the season so I totally would have gone for her as well and I'm so glad that she had the shield because having two more episodes with her in it you know which we'll talk about in a moment was like you know it was very good

9:23 Yeah and it's like a quieter version of Brody almost exactly my thoughts I have so much to say about that but let's just let's just go one step at a time yeah and you know straight out the back you know we see you know a lot of disagreement between Colin and Brooke even in you know fishrix toilet Hut because Conor wants to go for Julia because Colin recognizes that Anna is potentially one of his numbers to get rid of Brooke at the next banishment but Brooke is really film on like no we've got to get rid of Energon get rid of Anna and I feel like this perfectly sits up what is about to become the column versus Brooke War what did you think on the whole build up between these two massive forces going head-to-head against each other gee you knew it was going to happen the moment that he was like you know Brooke was blackmail when he came into the conclave you could just see like I feel like Brooke wouldn't have gone out for Colin had Colin not seen so combative from the beginning but then but Collins in his confessionals he was saying that he was going after Brook because he thought Brooke seemed like he was being dodgy to him so I don't know if it's just that like Colin just has that demeanor and then there was

10:43 Like a miscommunication and then they went to war but like you could see that like yeah they were definitely like two Raging Bulls they just couldn't work together and it was you know in a way it's like if they worked together they very possibly could have won that together but because they couldn't neither of them won it so it's I mean all spoiler I guess everyone watching this has seen it but well I mean I guess that begs the question did Brooke potentially make the right choice and black man and Colin do you think Brooks should potentially blackmailed someone who he difficult like is it could have worked with to get to the end or do you think you know blackmailing Colin and having them as this other big tiger was a good idea which do you think Brooke should have done I'm just trying to think like okay Anna is such a passionate player and I think that's one of the reasons that she seemed faithful the whole time because she it didn't look like she was trying to be passionate about finding Traders she just was and that showed and so blackmailing her I don't think that would have worked I think that her gameplay would have changed yeah

12:03 It's a hard one man like I'm just trying to think maybe Julia could have been a good black male like I would have I would have been interested to see that but yeah I'm not sure yeah it's I don't think there was a good blackmail because the thing is right that Brooke had a good relationship with Kings and kings was sure that he was a faithful and so there's no point making him a Trader with you like you've got a faithful who's super intent on being on your side so it's like why not get somebody else on your side you know what I mean yeah I mean maybe Sam but like Sam would have been good but at the same time I don't think he could have held it up I think Sam would have like cracked he would have been like Lauren you know yeah definitely I think the same Diffie would have caved in I feel like Anna she would have maybe stopped being as passionate wish that would have been a massive sort of red flag so I do think and I think Kings as well I mean Kingsman yeah like a waste of his Trust I think so I really think so I do think overall column was a smart move like overall but I do think yeah I do think there's probably more risk with Colin because he is quite an influential person in the game and

13:25 We do see Julia you know she's sort of putting out Anna's name as well because you know energy wants to take things out but then you know she backs out of it and then she wants to keep Kings and backs out so do you see sort of I guess some reasoning behind why she does sort of Target and a bit later on in the episode but we immediately go to the challenge which I think apart from you know the sheep challenge we had a couple weeks ago this was probably the most fun challenge I think of them all winter swear yeah I think part of the fact that it seemed so fun was because you could see that the players were having so much fun yeah absolutely like you could tell that this challenge is like something you know all of us have wanted to be you know like a James Bond or like you know a mission impossible Tom Cruise or my favorite spy Johnny English and you know Legend Brian Atkinson but with this challenge it was that all the contestants must collect like a art piece which each of the art pieces is worth a different price of a contestant touches a laser because they're like you know lasers sort of shooting everywhere then they instantly fail right and

14:46 Something I didn't realize at first when watching the episode but we watched again on the re-watch is that after each contestant comes across with like a painting or an art piece more lasers get added yes which I thought it was extremely interesting and it makes more sense why they get someone like Sam to go first because obviously Sam you know he's got is it MTS multiples sclerosis as well as Ms oh Ms yeah and you know so obviously he can't you know see that far and stuff right it's obviously the list lazy has to deal with the better yeah exactly give them the easier one yeah and we do see a lot of really different tactics I actually felt really sorry for Julia because she was wearing that yeah really tight dress so you know like you know stand high up on wine Crouch down another it's like oh that would have been pretty uncomfortable pretty inconvenient but something that I do love is both times Kings he just jumps right in yeah which I mean I feel like that could be a good strategy you know it's like you know what like I'm probably not gonna make it through the start so why don't

16:06 I just jump potentially a quarter way in or something the work still works of a dozen it doesn't so he's bold he just yeah stands up yeah just like his gameplay he likes to make the big moves and big jumps oh yeah he was like in mid-air he was like broken voting for you and then yeah there's no Shield available as well from now on so Anna was the last person to get the shield so normally was she the one to break jackets break the curse of finally getting the show to not being banished she was also the last person to get the shield yeah overall yeah and we come back from The Challenge and Anna is still going hard after Kings she still just does not trust him what'd you once you take when she's talking to Colin and Colin is like trying so hard to get her onto Brook and then she's just like and she has that confessional she's like I just trust Brook I love that watching that when she's just like he's one of the people I trust the most like I know he's a faithful I'm like yeah bro you know he's a faithful no like okay so obviously I was rooting for Julia at this point in the game but of the two Traders

17:26 I was rooting for Brooke and so watching Colin's great for watching his attempts fall flat here I was just like yes it's all coming together you know yeah I felt really sorry for both Colin and Brock because we're really leading up to something quite massive a war between these two but they just could not get their numbers to work with them right you know we said Colin like their trying to convince Sam and another to go after Brooke but instead they're like nah we're going to go after Kings and we say you know Brooke sit down with Kings and Julia he's like okay I need you guys to work this out you know set up whatever you need to settle yeah and we'll just right if that works if that worked I'm like 90 sure that Brooke would have won because hear me out right absolutely then the last three people would not and well I assume the last three people wouldn't have been Anna Sam Brook where they were Sam would obviously turn against brickett then it would have been I think Julia Brooke Kings and I feel like in that instance Kings and Julia would just reignite their old their old

18:46 War and then one of them would get voted out and then Brook would win so oh man oh well you know you say that but I feel like maybe the same outcome would have happened right because let's say if Brooke does magic it you know Kings and Julia sussed out and third product Colin he's a Trader there's still one Trader left right so probably next round they get rid of Kings or Julia most likely right because the difference like yo Brooke Anna and Sam were basically the three oh you think it would have come to the same point I think it would have come to the same point because but then again Julia was starting to get suspicious of Anna and the Bro could have totally spun it that way like oh yeah bro I reckon Anna is a traitor and then Kings is already sold on the bro you know it broke yeah I think I think of the final of Brooks somehow did make the final three him Julian Kings Brooke definitely wins but I just don't see how they would have gotten to that point because you know Kings and Julia just could not work anything out exactly I definitely think it was going to blow up like if they stuck together for the next round and somehow the final five

20:07 Round so I definitely would have just absolutely collapsed by the final four I think oh well big rip massive rip and yeah but unfortunately you know Brooke is not able to work things out between Kings and Julia Colin is not able to work things out with Anna and Sam Colin does have a good argument and this is something that I think if you weren't really paying attention to it makes so much sense I love the chaos I guess the drama of the game does sort of come from Brooke from when he was a faithful but also when he was a Trader so there was a great observation by Colin bonforte was just the wrong time to yourself yeah he just didn't have the influence that Brooke did yeah and we get such a beautiful moment Hamish we really do I feel like quite often with reality TV you have this sort of emotional moments but they seemed quite forced yeah and I know this has sort of happened with the recent American Survivor as well where a lot of the contestants who I casted sometimes only get screen time just to share their like sad story and why they're there and then they're not really shown for rest of the episode right

21:27 But I feel like this one it did not feel forced I felt Supernatural and it was it was just really beautiful I was gonna get to the point too where like the casting and like the production team and stuff like right before the people go on to play the show they're just going to do something like rob their house man like somebody just drove into my house and like stole my couch well that's really funny because you know I obviously I applied for the Australian Survivor season and I didn't make it in but in my application I tried to go the Geordie route because I was in Heroes versus Villains Geordie has a great moment who finds out that he's having you know a son at the auction so what I tried doing was I tried sort of Lying by being like Oh if I win Survivor I have the money to propose to my girlfriend you know be able to you know move in with her literally the next week we broke up [Laughter] thank goodness yeah but before we continue with the emotional moment Andrea's got a few comments here great effort by Brooklyn trying

22:47 To convince papers to take the old Trader out it really was a good effort but unfortunately yeah Kings and Julia just could not cool things down yeah no they it was very cool watching them try to do what they were trying to do like seeing them simultaneously like I don't think either of them had like overtly shown like they hadn't like made it too obvious that they were going to do it but they both knew Lena he's going for me and they both just knew and they were doing the same thing at the same time and it was just like so like in sync it was it was cool it was cool to watch that yeah I feel like what they definitely could have done is just have both planes playing side by side but with like a bar in the middle because it was like the same conversation I would have done that from like an audio standpoint oh yeah that would have been hard yeah that would have been hard but also a question here from Andre back in Hamish would you apply for the next season of Traders and what would the reasons to apply or not to apply I mean I would love to apply how about you Hamish now what was your reason oh I would like to apply to prove everyone wrong you know because I'm a bit of a jokester you know Chris and Kahuna

25:27 Was on a season of Traders or yeah I'll say Traders first one season of Traders and I saw you there I would have to try and banish you as quickly as possible not because I don't love you or anything but it's simply just because you know me too well you know like if I was seduced you'd immediately be like yes who you're seduced and you'd be able to go hard on me even if I'm not seduced you would still find reasons to break me and yeah I would just go through it bro like this guy's been my friend for like so long like I can tell like he's breathing differently and they'll just believe it he's breathing out to oxygen and breathing in carbon dioxide he's doing the reverse breathing he's also a Trader yeah that yeah that's like what isn't that how it works in the northern hemisphere next time on Canadian triggers but yeah so we gave this very beautiful emotional moment with everyone you know Kings he says how he really wants to take his kids to Japan

26:48 With his prize money Anna you know she's a very grateful for the experience because you know as a parent and as an adult you don't get much time to really just do things for yourself right you know you're either with your kids with your husband or you know yeah socializing with some of your other friends who you haven't seen in a while and also work as well so it's very hard to get your own sort of alone time Sam has a really beautiful moment where he wants to show his sons and others that you know disabled people came to really well with a basically anything you know that like you don't know I really did I really did as well and you know Julia she wants to prove that those who self-doubt themselves they're like you can do it you know you can't accomplish anything and Brooke I mean I heavily you know sort of felt this Brooke read once if he won he wants to donate all the money to his eBay his Mad Eye and Hawkes Bay from the Cyclone damage which for those who are around International listeners and there was during Valentine's Day yeah so it's sort of like ends January early February we had a massive Cyclone come through New Zealand and there was a lot of damage done you know a lot of people including myself actually end

28:08 Up losing their jobs because of her and it was hectic and Hawkes Bay and Bay of Pliny in particular got so hit by it yeah and even something more you know I guess wealthier homes like my auntie and stuff you know she lives in a very sort of safe you know neighborhood in terms of like with and whatnot and they were having rain leaked through their roof you know like it was just coming down hard so like no one was safe at all the car parks in town like at the ceiling but anyway so it's cool that Brooke wants to wanted yeah so yeah I thought it was really cool that Brooke wanted to do that because you know there's been one winner in American Survivor I think he's probably the only winner David do this where he donated his full million dollar prize to I'm not I forgot if it's like a charity or if it was for like basically it's like a theater and like Hospital surgeon where he works on that military like veterans and stuff like that you know after they come back from Wars and whatnot and so I think the fact that Brockie wants to do wants to do that like don't act like the full price for midnight I thought was just like yeah really special you know it's really awesome and Colin it talks is a very sad story on how that on

29:28 Harry lost his number for covert and his sort of references how much of a mess sort of New Zealand was and you know during covert and stuff which I won't get too much into that because a lot of that is you know in terms of Politics on sort of what happened with lockdowns here in New Zealand but yeah it was such a beautiful emotional moment that everyone had I feel like even though we already loved and cared about these characters it just gave us another reason to just really care and love them more yeah and to touch on you know Colin talking about that sad story because you know they were talking about why they were on the show or why you know they were playing the game and I think what Colin was saying is like you know he wants to have the money so he can make more memories with his family because he lost his mother and now he's you know he wants to be able to make as many memories with his family as possible and I think that's really sweet yeah me too me too you know I'm happy he got voted out whoa the oh it's about 180 yeah oh my gosh [Laughter] I'm team Julia oh my gosh you really outplayed everyone blindsided

30:50 When I'm on Traders this is what I'm doing so yeah we go to the banishment and once again Kings just won't let Julia go you just points Let It Go he doesn't trust her and he's like I've been spending as much time with you even though majority of the time we spent you know before the benchment was with Brooke Kings and Julia which I thought that was quite funny and you know Julia has you know every right to really go after you know King's here but she does sort of you know touch on Anna a bit as well but then we get a great moment Amish and this actually blew my mind I was laughing my head off she said that you know one of I mean it wasn't exactly how she said it but one of the big players in the game which slipped up a lot was Robbie and in the first episode no the second episode Robert talks about how you know we murdered you know Kimberly which obviously there was a mess of you know slip up I think it's not part of a sentence and you know she wasn't saying when she was going

32:10 Like we wasn't she like you know my crystal Julia was outed as a Trader they didn't know it was as a seduction yes she was oh my gosh when that came out I just started cracking up with laughter like once again game changing strategic Robbie has done it again not only has she got Dan out now she's got out Kings she pulled later in the game dude I feel like it's full circle Kimberly got Robbie out in a six episode plan where she wasn't enough for five and Robbie got Kings out when Robbie wasn't even part of the episode for two three episodes and it was for something that happened in the second episode as well and I was like Wow Robbie just pulled a Kimberly and it worked Robbie I reckon is like honorable mentioned you like Mastermind all thought out it's all playing stuffed her own game just to stuff Kings game and dance but yeah and anyways

33:30 I'm moving to see a confessional here from Brook which I found so funny which is like you know he's Keen to even preferred off you know truly because he's just so sick of hearing this car argument no I mean hey look I get it I do fully get it you know Julia was sold in Kings for a long time like in her mind Kings is like why did we not vote him out earlier he's obviously been the trader this whole time you know Robbie oh he's she's been a Trader the whole time you know and then there was that argument Robbie obviously like slipped up a lot of times like it makes someone like I get it like it was obviously wrong she mistook Robbie for slipping up as a traitor as opposed to just I don't know being rubbing yeah and we see we see Kings here you know he sort of goes out once again saying that you know he feels like is he the only person actually trying to find the Traders because the main names are him and Julius but he's the only one questioning people but I feel like when he makes comments like this and he throws out other people's names that's sort of what sets them up to get banished as well because it's like why is he so adamant on there being more

34:51 Names out there than just one or the other of the maxims I think what he did mainly wrong there was you know you have this kind of Coalition of like you know like Anna and Julian what not who have been responsible for leading the charge against most of the traders who have been banished already yeah and then Kings is like and I'm not saying Kings hasn't been a part of that but then Kings is like oh I'm the only one going for them and he's saying that two people like Anna and Julia and like I get what he you know he's going for them in a different way he's going for them in a in a tactical way as opposed to this kind of Collective kind of macro you know where you know and so he's playing it differently but he's basically saying like oh you guys aren't doing it and obviously that's going to anger Anna and alienate her and then so obviously she would be like yeah Kings I reckon you're a Trader like why would why else would you be saying something like that yeah exactly and it's quite funny because you know like kings he sort of talks about how like you know there's so much noise coming from people and Colin is just about to go hard on Brooke In This Moment yeah and then the Bro Paul Henry

36:11 Interrupts them which I actually wonder what this comment could have potentially done and I feel like judging based on how things have went it would have either further dug Collin spray for the next vote or maybe would have turned people on column for this photo I'm not sure I'm not sure if we're really going out of its way to take it Brooke what did you think of what Colin was about to do well Colin had been trying so hard to you know have people against Brooke and it hadn't been working and I guess he saw this as his last opportunity because otherwise it's like at the point of the game where it's like they can't really be wasting time it's not I'll banish him next time it's like you know he has to he has to fall this is his moment you know he has to get in his word now he has to influence people's decisions now and the Bro Paul Henry is the savior yes thank you so much Henry but yeah we'll get to the vote so we have Brooke and King's the vote for Julia Juliet goes Rogan votes for Anna which I'm really thankful Julia did this because it's suited up so much

37:31 Drama in so much factions I guess for the final episode whereas I feel like if Julie had not done this Brooke maybe would have been in a lot more trouble it would have been harder for him to reach the end but then we do see and Anna Sam and Colin vote for Kings and the Kings is unfortunately eliminated what is your what is your overall thoughts on Kings I think that Kings okay I think it's worth saying that everyone that made it this far into the game is a good player you know some of them are good for different reasons you know and some of them you know in remembering that you've got people who are playing as Traders people who are playing as faithfuls winter Traders right you know something for example that I think Anna which we touched on before is amazing at doing is being such a loud and influential voice but also not drawing like you know there's attention to herself from the Traders and not putting a Target on her back until obviously when she got the shield but to get this far into the game and to have so much influence and to be just leading this charge and to not be like she's been like just like navigating through this field of like arrows flying at her and you know what I mean like so she's really

1:21:16 Yeah I think that they were so good you know and I think we've touched on a few times like Sam even mentioned like oh he's clearly a very nice guy but I think in one of his confessionals in one of these last two episodes he said something you know along the lines of by being so nice to everyone like people will feel that he's a faithful and so I guess all he had to do was be himself and I think that's really cool you know he had the one time that exploded at Brook at the Challenger they walked the stuff across the line but otherwise and hey like they rekindled their friendship and got over that as well so I think that you know he played such a good game from the you know not looking like a Trader standpoint because that's such a big part of it as a faithful like you're trying to figure out who the Traders are and align yourself with the right people but you're also trying to dodge the bullets which is something by the way I think Julia did very well that she had heat on her for so much of the game and she still managed to not be banished so many times like that you know so it's something Sam didn't even get the votes thrown at him to begin with and you know he played such an Immaculate game in that way yeah and then Anna you know she was you know as I
